this company sent me a letter refusing to cover the repairsThey stated it was the wind that caused the damages nf not their clients faultThey even stated that the police report blamed the windI think Revdex.com should
contact the officer that filed this reportHe believes that they are responsible an told me that although it was a windy day, that no other roof blew off that day. This was not a hurricane it was just a windy day.

12/2/2014,*** ***, with State Auto Insurance was assigned as the Claims Adjuster on your claim***performed a physical inspection of your interior and roof damages on 12/4/Due to the pitch onyour roof, *** was able to access the porch, however, the main roof slopes were too steep for him tosafely climbHe was able to observe that many shingle strips had been damaged to the main front slopearea only*** requested that a local roofer assist him is securing the necessary photos to documentthe direct damages.*** ***, a local roofer, inspected your roof and reported to *** that the only area that actuallysustained wind damage was to the front main slopeHe also indicated that the roof was installed withstaples and that some slippage had occurred in some places, due to this installation issue.Your insurance policy provides coverage for the direct damages as a result of a covered cause of loss.*** completed an estimate on the repairs for the shingles that were actually damaged by wind, whichis covered under your insurance policyThe installation issue would not be an issue that your insurancepolicy would provide coverage for.A matching shingle, to your original shingles, is still available.Our review of your file finds that the policy coverages were applied properly.Should you wish to discuss this further, please feel free to contact me.Sincerely, *** *** *** *** * *** ***

*** *** *** RE: *** Dear *** ***: We have received the complaint from the Revdex.com that you filed against Sate AutoWe appreciate the opportunity to review and respond to your letter. Your auto insurance policy was set up on *** to have your payments deducted automatically from your account on the 20th of each monthThe effective date of your policy was the 29th of each monthWhen we first introduced our *** program, we allowed the customer to choose the monthly deduction date as you did on your policyWe soon realized that this practice caused the premium to bill behind.Because of this, we stopped allowing the customer to select the monthly deduction date unless there was a financial hardship or the customer demanded itIn those cases we make sure we fully explained that the policy would bill behind and in the event of cancellation, earned premium may still be dueYour policy was set up on *** before this procedure change was implemented. The $that we deducted after your policy cancelled was the result of earned premium still due after the cancellation dateThis policy is now completely paid in full and cancelled as requested. I have reviewed your file in regards to your concerns stated in your billing or
collection issues complaint.The mailing address still shown on this policy is *** *** *** *** ** *** ** so that is where yourbills and cancellation notices were deliveredState Auto would have had no idea that you had moved toa different address and I'm not sure why the post office would not have forwarded notifications to you.I will have the address corrected now so you are aware of any further correspondence in regards to theaccount.Your policy cancelled for nonpayment of premium on 11/23/which was the renewal date since theinvoice amount requested from you on 11/4/of $was not received by /9/ANotification of final cancellation was sent to you at the address on our file on 12/10/2014.From review of the billing history I see that you phoned in a partial payment of $on 11/29/Inour phone in system there is no way to ask for a billing change to a monthly pay billing plan so paymentservices was not aware of what you were trying to do$was refunded to you on 12/17/Ireviewed an email from your agency on 12/29/about the cancellationThis was over a month afteryour cancellation date.In review for possible reinstatement/rewrite I found that there were similar payment issues on 2/28/14,and 3/9/so a rewrite/reinstatement was not offered for your account.I too would have been alarmed to find out my policy was cancelled if I thought it was still in effect andhad not received any written noticesThe lack of notification getting to you appears to result from noknowledge of your updated address informationState Auto generated all the letters and propernotifications and sent them to the last known address on our fileThe post office should haveforwarded these to you if they were aware of your new address.In addition, I do understand from your letter that you are concerned with your agency's response ingetting your pay plan and address changedOur agency field representative will follow up on thoseconcerns with your agent of record.If you have any further questions about your past account with State Auto, please do not hesitate tocontact us
