We were very happy with Empire The sales person was prompt responding to us and keeping us updated with his schedule He was also very responsive on his follow ups The installation team was great as well They worked hard and did everything while they were here to make sure we were happy The only thing we don't know is how the floor will hold up...only time will tell If it holds up I would give them a 10!

This was a great experience from beginning to end Love the end result!!

Empire works good to get your job and get your carpet installed the next dayBut when it comes down to customer service they failed terriblyThen they try to strike them self an excellent customer serviceI had carpet installed in the carpet is coming apart so called them about the warrantyTrying to explain this over the phone to the customer service rep was ridiculous she did not understand what I was trying to sayShe was taking it as an installer error, so to just get somebody out here to look at the carpet I was told I would have to pay $but if the carpet was warranty and get back $80.00, so I set up an appointment to have an installer to come and look at the carpet this soon as they could get out here was over two weeks so the appointment was set for December 5, which was a NO CALL NO SHOWI had a message from Craig at extension [redacted] to call him about the installers coming out which I did and left several messages with him with no return phone callSo I called back and talk to a service rep named Stephanie that was at the same office as Craig she told me he was on the phone so she slipped in me note him he needed to reschedule my appointment for December 6, because the installers were broke downMy question to Stephanie was how can you be out here the next day when I had to wait two weeks already? She said Sir I'm just telling you what Craig saidI said I was not happy about the NO CALL NO SHOW and I should not have to pay the $Stephanie told me not to worry about $so the next day when installers arrive we look at the carpet and told me could not be repaired they would be turning and under warranty work and took measurementsAnd told me the needed to collect the $so they went outside and made a phone call came back in and said Stephanie had no business tell me not to worry about $and that they need to collect I asked them for the name and number of the person they talk to and was told they could not give me the informationI told them I would be calling EmpireI have left several messages with Tara [redacted] about at extension [redacted] with no return phone callsI have also talked to a supervisor named Joe he told me he would expedite my call up to higher management and it would hear something within hoursWell those hours has come gone with no return phone calls from anybody from EmpireI asked several times for them to change my phone number in the system in they can't even handle that (Stephanie and Joe) plus other representativesThe representatives have gave me an extension to the local office of [redacted] which is nothing nobody never answers that extension I doesn't say anythingI've made several phone calls to Empire with not a one return phone call and they talk about excellent customer service this is the poorest service I received in a very long timeSo once again I'm waiting for higher management to call me back which I doubt that will evenI was told I would hear something in three or four days now they're telling me it will take to weeksSure would be nice to have someone return a phone call!!!

Empire Carpet rep refused to show product unless I committed to down payment along with installation of flooring within two daysHe said I "should not have" called them if wanted to exercise my right to shop around

It was a very smooth process from scheduling appointment, to meeting with the sales representative to having my carpet, LVT and LVT installedEveryone was cordial, yet professional, and I love my new floors

The person at the Fairfax VA Empire Today store sold us incorrect trims for our ceramic tile where it meets the carpet and the stairHe sold us items which are used for Vinyl tile I was told by the installer that I SHOULD GO to [redacted] and BUY THE ITEMS MYSELFThe manager of the Fairfax VA store sent me photos of the items which I was sold incorrectly as the new items which she was gettingThe installer cancelled the installation and walked off the job even though the manager of the Fairfax VA store said to stayI was called by the salesman of the store (the one who sold me the wrong items) to come in to the store to see the new piecesI told him that the manager was to send photosHe said noI cancelled the entire order This is stupid and inconvenient and should never have happenedI am so very upset Original salesman told me he had been in the business for years HA What a TERRIBLE COMPANY BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE

Sept Empire carpet showed up exactly on the scheduled time and brought the correct product as requested I did not like the thickness of the padding nor did I like the density of the carpet Once I spoke with managers and representatives I found the carpet was exactly what I wanted The entire sales force was extremely patient with me and explained everything in full Even my original salesman called me to make sure I was happy The carpet is being installed as I write this review I will write another one after it is finished The installers were from Ecuador but have lived here for over ten years The were very nice though there were moments where communication was difficult, I was patient and explained everything I wanted SUPER install team really nice guys

On Monday (Oct) sales agent shows up for scheduled appointment and complete measuring and estimateI inform him that I need to look at finances to make sure I can pay in cash should I accept the quote I provided $good faith deposit to hold quote and offered discounts with tentative installation beginning after Nov I was also told I could cancel anytime up to the time the installers showed up at my doorLate Monday evening a section of ceiling fell from my home office due to long-term undetected water leakMy insurance deductible to fix this and other damage is going to take a big chunk of the cash that was to be used on new flooringI called the sales rep and explained that the flooring needs were on indefinite hold and that I was cancellingI was told by him that he would tear up the deposit checkToday, Oct, my bank informs me the check has been cashedCalled Empire Today to find out why the check was cashed when I was told it would be “torn up.†I was told that sales agents deposit all checks immediately and should not have been told differently and was then forwarded to the refunds/cancellation department where I was grilled on why I had the estimate done in the first place; told we can just delay you installation, and again asked why I bothered spending the time to request an estimateI stopped the representative at that point and explained that I no longer wanted their service, that I had been assured cancellation was no problem and I wanted my deposit backI was placed on hold for about two minutesWhen the agent came back on instead of telling me the request had been cancelled, I was offered an $credit to go ahead and get my flooring installedMe response, was, “look, I just want to cancel and get my money back.†I also told the representative I was sure he did not want this call showing up on You Tube because of the stalling tactic Empire Today was using against meI was placed on hold for another two to three minutesThe agent finally came back on line and gave me my confirmation number for the cancellation and told me my refund would come in daysThe clock has startedI will still need flooring in the near future but will take my business elsewhere now

Very happy with my experience with Empire Today The representative did not try to sell me anything above my means The installers came in the time-frame that was quoted for me The installers did an excellent job When they were finished, made sure everything was cleaned up

It was so easy to book an appointment for a sales representative to come to my homeHe was prompt, friendly, and professionalHis knowledge helped us make decisions about a big project and he made sure we got the best deal possibleThe installation was flawless, the two guys were strong, professional and did a great jobI am so happy with the entire process

Yesterday I had a big job installation- living room, dining room, family room, hall and closets needing carpetI was told by the sales rep they would arrive by 8amI received a call they would be there between 11-and with multiple times calling in to see where they were they did not arrive until after pmmen showed upThey did not speak ANY English and was unable to communicate with themI had told them multiple times not to leave the door open due to flys and bees coming indid not understand what I was sayingI had to take off work and set up a babysitter for my son outside of the homeHaving them come after pm was very inconvenient for both myself and my sonThe installers were there until 9pmMy son needed to get to sleep by 7:but was unable to because of the noiseAgain, could have been avoided if they were there at the scheduled timeAt the end of the installation they gave me a paper to signThis had a list of questions I was suppose to fill out but he kept saying noand I kept saying yes I am competing this survey with my dissatisfactionI did not receive any paperwork, no warrantyeven though the paper work said I should have received and should have been explained everythingNothing was explained to me because they did not speak EnglishI spoke with Empire manager today about my experience and what he told me blown me awayHe stated that I should have called into customer service to have someone translate for the installersWHAT!!!! WE are in America! The people I hire should be able to fully speak English to explain things to meThe sales person quoted me 3500- which was a wasteTerrible experience

I just had my house carpeted, and I am very pleased with the whole transactionThe salesman was very informative, and let me make up my own mind as to which carpet I choseI am very happy with the choice, and the installers were real artistsThey were efficient, respectful, and left the whole house looking beautifulI would recommend Empire Today

I contracted with Empire Today to install carpeting and laminate flooring in my home over a year ago and the job still isn't done!!! I have no problems with the carpeting The laminate flooring has been the issue Empire Today installed laminate in my kitchen, laundry room, powder room and hall bath They have had to replace the flooring three times because of "screw ups' caused by the installers One was for installing the laminate on top of ceramic tile, the other was because the installer wipe down the floor with some type of sealant Another time was because they used two different types of padding on the flooring that connects so that when you stepped onto one floor then onto the other floor you could tell the difference I have lost track of the amount of times the installers have said they were coming and didn't show up (no phone call to let us know), sometimes they show up with the wrong product and another time they showed up with no product Why would they show up without product? I have been given nothing but the run around from their customer service department Since the person working in the call center can't really do anything about my problem they say they will have a manager call me, which sometimes happens and sometimes doesn't My husband has had to take several days off from work to wait on the installers to show up I only want to warn others about this company and their lack of customer service and caring
