Dear *** *** (Customer ID
# ***),
I sincerely apologize for any
inconvenience associated with this account, and the balance being sent to
collections
Unfortunately, there seems to have been an error in our system regarding the
free hosting credits that I had previously appliedDue to this, an invoice had
generated, the payment declined, and the balance was handed to our Collections
Team which locked your account
In order to assist you with this matter, we are pulling and
waiving the balance of $from our Collections TeamAt this time, your
account is once again active
Since this error had occurred and interrupted free time that
I had attempted to give you, once again, I am issuing free months of hosting
to your Business package (Contract ID #***), so that this time, the hosting
portion of your account will be covered free of charge up until 2/9/Please note,
that these free months only cover the monthly hosting charges which are billed
every months, in the amount of $per monthAny extra features, or
annual domain name renewal fees are not included within the free hosting
credits
I will watch this account to make sure that the hosting
credits are properly applied through the system this time
Moving forward, after the free time that has been issued is up, this hosting
package can be downgraded with our Retention Team in order to lower the monthly
paymentsThey can be reached by phone at: ###-###-####
Please feel free to contact us here in the Solutions Team by
phone at: ###-###-####, or via email at: [email protected]
should you require any additional assistance
Once more, we apologize for any inconvenience that has been
caused here
Thank you

*** *** *** *** ** * *** I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience associated with the attempted charges in question and claims to active services
"margin-right: 4.5pt;">Regarding this particular matter and the voicemail that I left you today (10/19/16), what you are explaining here sounds like fraudulent activity against you, in the way that your credit card/personal information had been compromisedWe have seen similar situations such as this with our company, along with many others. Through the credit card/personal information being obtained elsewhere by a hacker or whoever/however it may have been, online orders and accounts are then placed with 1&1, *** *** *** *** After looking over the Case History from earlier today, I see that after you had contacted us our Security Team deemed this account as being fraudulent, and has issued an immediate cancellationAlong with that, we are pulling and waiving the balance of $from our Collections Team, and you will not be contacted regarding this againFor your records, this has not, and will not affect your credit Moving forward, there will be no further problems in reference to you being billed or invoiced by 1&Internet Incsince this account has been canceled due to its fraudulent nature Once more, we apologize for any inconvenience that has been caused here Thank you David M*** Customer Care 1&Internet Inc.http://www.1and1.com

Firstly, I still have a domain registered through this business and plan on keeping itThe issue I have is that shortly have registering the domain, I can only assume what was one of their marketing team members called me and spoke to me about my satisfaction with the serviceAt one point during the conversation the employee mentioned that I could try their service for up to days and if I was not satisfied that I could cancel the service and not be chargedSo I used the service for less than days, realized it wasn't what I was looking for, and canceled the service and moved onWeeks later I received a bill from them quoting the amount that listed the amount I was told the service would cost AFTER the daysThe bill read that I owed them this moneyEither the employee was misinformed and misinformed me or there was shady actions going on that resulted in me receiving bills and eventually 1&hiring a collection agency to collect the amount from me

Horrible customer service When you try to cancel it, they give you a horrible runaround Very cheap and unprofessional tactics Do yourself a favor and pick a different company This one is extremely sleezy

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:While I appreciate the refund and the effort Matt made to resolve this complaint, 1andis still claiming to offer 24/technical support, when this is clearly not availablePart of my solution requested was that 1andapologize to customers for not providing the 24/technical support they promise on their website (http://www.1and1.com/ServiceSupport)I had to go through the Revdex.com resolution system (first by contacting their Revdex.com office) to actually get the support I needed. I was put on hold indefinitely or told I could not be helped until business hours when I contacted the 24/technical supportThis is not a one-time problemThey claim to offer 24/support but instead offer a 24/answering service that is not empowered to resolve website hosting issues, and that makes their claim of 24/technical support dishonest, not just to me but to all the customers that attempt to utilize their services

Dear *** *** (Customer ID # ***),
I sincerely apologize for any
inconvenience associated with the transfer of domains from *** to 1&
Internet Incat this time.
Please understand, that when a domain is transferred from
another provider, over to us, there is a certain process which takes place
Part of that process, is *** initiating the transfer, and 1&accepting
itAt times, there can be an error at first due to technical matters, which
can be easily resolvedIn regard to this particular matter, I have forward
this case to one of our Technical/Domain Specialists, to investigate this issue
for you further, and provide a manner in which we can help you finalize the
transfer of the domains: ***, and ***, to 1&
Internet Inc.
In regard to the payment of these domains, please allow me
to explain how that will work
Under your first invoice, you would see a $charge, that
covers from the date of transfer (to 1and1), up until the date in which the
domain was already registered until, from the provider it was with beforehand
(***)After that, there would be a first year charge, in the amount of any
current promotion that we are offering at that time, in this case, $0.99, which
would add an additional year of registration onto the date it had previously
been set to
For example, the domain: ***, is currently
registered with *** until 03/07/2015, so if the transfer was completed to us
on 3/16/14, your invoice for that particular domain would read along these
lines:
1.) Basic
Fee - $0.00 (This appears on all Domain
invoices)
2.) 03/16/2014-03/07/
*** - $
3.) 03/07/2015-03/07/
*** - $
4.) (Discount
for line-item 3) Special Offer -$14.00 (Making this domain registered
with 1&until 03/07/for $0.99)
I cannot stop this invoice from generating ahead of time,
however, due to the inconvenience, once you are charged for these domain
transfers under the new contracts, I will see to it that you receive a full
refundOnce this is said and done, everything will have been processed and moved
for free as a sign of good faith.
I can assure you, that we will be able to handle this for
you in an appropriate manner, and the specialist will be in contact with you shortly
in order to help transfer the domains
We hope that the information contained within this email
serves as helpful for you.
Once more, I apologize for any
inconvenience that has been caused here
Thank you

I signed up to get a domain and also to get it hosted, however my website never worked, and I was charged for so long, and I didn;t know

I cancelled my domain within the time frame specified by the companyThey still took money out of my account and have not refunded itIve asked them to refund it and received no response

Dear *** *** (Customer ID # ***),
I sincerely apologize for any
inconvenience associated with the cancellation of this account
Regarding the cancellation of features/service, it is
possible to cancel only the domain names, and not the hosting package(s)This
is an option as domain names and the physical hosting packages are two separate
entities, as they have their own unique functions and capabilitiesFor
instance, some people only have hosting through our company in order to maintain
their website and manage emails with us, while they have the domain name(s)
associated with that hosting registered with another providerThis also gives
customers the ability to cancel some of their domains or other services no
longer needed, and keep what they are still interested inOnce you have issued
any kind of online cancellation, the email confirmation that you receive has
generic wording due to how many different cancellation variations are possible,
since you may be canceling certain domains/features, or the entire account
However, aside from the wording, the notification still specifically lists which
features and or services are associated with that requested cancellation, or
transfer if a Change of Provider is selected for the domain(s)
In this particular case, it seems that the domain names
listed under your account had been selected and referenced within your email
confirmation, but the hosting package was not part of the action processed
onlineI apologize for any misunderstanding possibly caused by the online
cancellation process, or if you feel that you were mislead by the contents of
the confirmation email, as that was certainly not our intention
That being said, I see that some of my colleagues within the
Solutions Team have already reached out to you regarding the requested resolution
for this accountIt has been confirmed that all services listed under your
name have been canceled, and we are also in the process of refunding the
charges associated with this unfortunate circumstance, dating back to March of
this yearPlease allow 3-business days for this refund of $to be
issued to the *** payment method linked to: ***
Moving forward, you will no longer be billed or invoiced,
since this account is no longer active
Once more, we apologize for any inconvenience that has been
caused here
Thank you

Dear *** *** (Customer ID # ***),
I sincerely apologize for any
inconvenience associated with the unwanted contact that you have received
Please understand that we do not send out or sell any of our
customer’s personal informationHowever, it is possible for information such
as email addresses and phone numbers to be seen publicly under *** ***
records, as your domain contact information had been set to public
registration, instead of privateThis matter can be easily resolved by
changing the domain contact information within the Control Panel of any active
accountTypically, we would have made the change for you already since you
filed this complaint, however, we are currently experiencing a bug in our
systemThis bug is not allowing for the change between Public and Private
Registration as seen through the WhoIs records, and our System Administrators
are working on this in order to resolve the problem as soon as possible
Once this bug issue has been fixed, we will set your domain
contact information to private, so that you can avoid further unwanted contact
by 3rd parties
Aside from that, I have issued an escalated case with high
priority, to add your email and phone number to our “Do Not Contact” list
Please allow 24-hours for this request to be processedThat being said,
moving forward you will no longer be contacted by 1&Internet for anything
other than domain renewal/invoice information
Due to the inconvenience you have experienced, we have also
added a credit to your account which will cover the first months of domain
registration through our company free of charge
You will be contacted further once the above listed domain
privacy issue has been resolved
Once more, we apologize for any inconvenience that has been
caused here
Thank you

I purchased a domain several days ago through 1and1.com After days I am still unable to manage the domain name at all I did notice that my money was immediately collected at the time of purchase, however the product was never delivered This is a scam I have never had to wait for a domain to be "setup." I confirmed that money was collected from my bank account, however no product was delivered upon payment I logged into the 1and1.com control panel and no invoices are listed This is extremely suspect and will be reported to the Attorney General of Massachusetts I attempted to contact customer support, but was huon when I asked about the status of my domain name I believe that 1and1.com is actively engaging in advertising and fraudulent billing practices Legal counsel has advised that I file a formal complaint with the Attorney General which will be submitted on Monday April 11th This company is not accurately representing their services and also en

So I originally never heard of this company until I was checking my credit card statements back in December and found a charge from this companyNow, I had not used this card for over half a year so I was suspicious of the charge and tried contacting them to figure out what I was being billed for After several unsuccessful attempts at trying to contact them and being put on hold for an hour each time, I was finally able to talk to one of their representatives over the phoneWhen I asked to find out what it was that I supposedly purchased I was told that it was a website domain nameI have never tried to make a website before, so I figured that somebody might of stolen my credit card information and purchased the domain name using my informationWhen I asked for what the website name was (so I could go to the website and get more information on who possibly stole my credit card information), the representative sounded kind of panicky and ended up hanging up on me I called a

Dear *** *** (Customer ID

I sincerely apologize for any
inconvenience associated with the backing up of data and/or webspace
As previously mentioned, any backups of data, websites, and
services, only extend for a short period of timeIn your case and all other
cases, this timeframe lasts for daysIn other words, if you were to ask us
today, for the oldest backup we have under your account, it would be from April
30th, The reason for this is due to the amount of space that
would be consumed if we were to backup every one of our customer’s accounts,
for the life of their account here with 1&Internet, Inc., whether it be
emails, data, webspace, etc
That being said, unfortunately, your request for us to
restore your website to its prior functionality dating back to March 26th,

not responsible to maintain any and all backups of your data/webspace
