We have reviewed the client's account and have determined that she is ineligible for a refund due to the fact that her account is over two years old.  At this time, the most we are willing to do is rendered the clients services as the client is well beyond our 30 day right to rescind timeframe....

If the client has any questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for your assistance regarding this matter.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.  I do not think the business did the job remotely as they advertised.  It took another 10 days, after I myself called NY State an found out my amendment was completed,  before the company responded to my complaint.  They did nothing to inform me that my amendment was completed.  I can say that the refund they are offering me is what this company should offer, but I wish to be done with this company and therefore accept the offer.  I sincerely can not believe that they feel they did their job and deserve for me to pay them.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
This company's response is intentionally vague and deceptive, which has been my overall experience with them to date. The refund mentioned, was for $695, which is 30% of the overall fees they took from me. Yes, I filed a dispute with my bank, which is listed in my original complaint to the Revdex.com and had already been submitted and under review before Tracey made any mention of a potential 30% refund and it was too late to retract, all mentioned within my complaint notes to the Revdex.com. Two days later, I received info from my bank that 1800-Accountant had denied the request. Furthermore, I had to shell out MORE money to have my taxes completed and turned in late to the IRS by hiring a local accountant to complete the job and she indeed confirmed that 1800-Accountant had me overpaying the IRS by close to $3,000. This is unacceptable!!! The services they claim to have provided (for $2,230) were effectively rendered useless because in the final stages of the process, they abandoned the paying client and ceased contact.

We have already resolved this dispute with the client and have issued a refund totalling $1092.  The client should have already received this cumulative credit as it was issued back in April.  If the client has any questions or needs any assistance, we request that she contact us directly....

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to the client and we appreciate her patience.  Thank you for your assistance regarding this matter.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[1800accountant has not settled the amount that is in dispute ($1162.00). The company Has charged me a total of $2187. They have refunded me $297.00 for services not rendered and requested to be refunded to me by their worker in the year 2015.  After disputing the remaining amount in 2016, for additional services not rendered but charged in the following five months, I was refunded $795.00. I have advised the business that I am not satisfied with this minimal refund for services largely not provided.  I have never agreed to a settled amount and have voiced my discontent with their seriously concerning business practices.  I continue to await a refund in the amount of $1162.00. The $1162 disputed amount is the difference of what I have been charged, minus the refunds, (balance of $1244) and the fair market value of the actual services rendered. I await a refund in the amount of $1162.

Our records show that the total amount the client has paid is $1674.98. This amount includes the initial package price and the monthly member fees as well. The client submitted the necessary information to complete her tax return on 5/*/16. The tax return is currently being prepared at this time. Our records also indicate that the client requested cancellation of services on 1/**/16 which is after the 30 days and therefore makes the client ineligible for a refund. We appreciate your assistance regarding this matter. Thank you, 1-800 Accountant

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Per my discussion with a customer service manager I requested a complete cancellation of all services. I requested a full refund and was ensured this would be honored once my bank provided the required charge back details and documentation. I explained I will no longer work with 1800accounting because they did not fulfill their obligation as an accounting service provider. The only resolution I will accept is a full refund. I do not want to work with 1800accounting again because they failed to provide the most basic services they promised within a reasonable time frame based on industry standards of CPAs.

We stand by our claim and can no longer move forward with this dispute since the client has already submitted a chargeback as detailed in his response.  Thank you for your assistance regarding this matter as we now have to discuss this directly with the client's bank.

We have reviewed the client's file and have determined that she is ineligible for a refund.  This decision is based on the fact that services were rendered to the client.  The service that the client purchased was for prepared incorporation documents and online filing of her business....

Our records show that we attempted to file the client's prepared incorporation documents on January [redacted] 2015 but the client's credit card was declining when we tried to register her business with the state.  The client provided us with an updated card which resulted in us refiling her corp documents and registering her business on 1/**/2015.  The delay in filing the client's documents was due to the declining of her credit card not anything that we did incorrectly.  To date the client's business is registered with the Secretary of State [redacted] effective 1/**/2015 therefore she remains ineligible for a refund since the service was provided.  If any documentation is needed to substantiate the above referenced information, we would be more than willing to provide that upon request.  Thank you for your assistance regarding this matter.

We have mailed the client's package and a notice was left.  We request that the client respond to the notice in order for [redacted] to redeliver the package.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Because they failed to prepare my business taxes (and ignored my phone messages and emails requesting status), I ended up filing late and incurred a $390 penalty from the IRS.  They did nothing but cost me money.I insist on a complete refund of all fees paid.

After review of this account we have determined this complaint was satisfied in April of 2016. This client was fully refunded and we are continuing preparation of her tax returns. This client was reassigned to a new accountant who has been a much better fit for this client as well. We do apologize...

for the delayed response however this cpomplaint has been satisfied. Thank you, 1-800 Accountant

We have reviewed the client's dispute and wanted to inform her that her business was legally registered with New York on  4/**/2015.  The client can review this on the Secretary of State website.  As a courtesy, we are willing to offer the client a 50% refund since we did have to do...

an amendment and her business was registered.  We request that the client inform us through the Revdex.com of her acceptance of the offer and we will issue her partial refund.  If any documentation is needed to substantiate the above referenced information, we would be more than willing to provide it upon request.  We appreciate your assistance regarding this matter.

First we would like to apologize to the client for experience that he had with us and we want to inform him that we have issued a full refund of $1890 back to his credit card on 5/**/2015.  That credit will post to his account in 3-5 business days.  We apologize for any inconvenience this...

may have caused and we appreciate his patience.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

That is precisely why I originally asked for a partial refund. I did not want a full refund until I was forced to use other channels to deal with this situation. I was promised something that they could not deliver to gain my business. When they failed they refused to give the $50 refund that I requested of the $100 electronic filing fee. This could have been resolved already for the $50 I requested.

I am amazed this company even calls themselves an accounting firm since they never provided me with one statement of the "work" or consulting they said they did. They said they give me a 75% refund but made no mention of why they wanted to keep 500.00 dollars. They did no consulting that warrants that and have provided no documentation of the consulting or the fees associated. I can say they provided nothing of value to me and this is a scam.

assistance regarding this matter.

We have reviewed the clients claim and since the client's taxes were not completed, we are willing to offer a 75% refund.  This is due to the fact that the monthly fees that the client paid was not just for tax preparation rather it also included unlimited access to an accountant for questions...

as well as access to our client books on the member website.  Since some of the services were not rendered and the client was not completely satisfied with the service, it is only fair to offer the client a partial refund. We therefore request that the client inform the Revdex.com of his acceptance in order for us to issue a partial refund.  We appreciate your assistance regarding this matter.
