Justin got back to the billing manager on 2/**/17 to state that the offer was fair and he accepts the offer. The refund of $1200 was issued on 2/**/17. We have reviewed the client's file and have determined that we are willing to offer the client a 60% refund for his purchases.  This decision is based on the fact that the client cancelled after the 30 day right to rescind and we were more than willing to render services to the client, but we...

did require the client's participation in order to render the services in full (i.e. payroll, bookkeeping and tax preparation) but there was still some information required that the client did not provide.  As a courtesy, we are willing to refund the client 60% of what he paid or we can render the services if the client would prefer to keep the services.  Thank you for your assistance regarding this matter.

We secured the services of 1800Accountant at the suggestion of Legal Zoom to provide assistance in finding the best tax advantages for our new LLC (Sanctity of Space). At that time, 1800Accountant contact, with full knowledge of the dates that the EIN was submitted to the state of Texas, told us that anything we bought for our new company such as computer equipment, office supplies, the money we paid to Legal Zoom to setup the company as well as the money we paid to 1800Accountant for assistance with taxes for one year would be able to deduct on our personal taxes (business expense) for 2017. Imagine our complete surprise when our contact at 1800Accountant just told us that nothing could be used as a business expense for 2017 because of the registration date the state of Texas used for the EIN. This was available to the contact from the start. While the contact has been cordial it seems to border on a fraudulent agreement between Legal Zoom and 1800Accountant that provides little beneficial service to the 1800Accountant customer. They do no bookkeeping for us but were secured to provide tax preparation assistance for tax year 2017, primarily and get us started for 2018. Again, the contact that we used was cordial and easy to reach, we were just provided completely inaccurate information on a subject that was the only reason we secured the services.

1-800 Accountant does not have any documents or tax returns for this client. If the client has emails we ask that the client send them to us directly in order to find a resolution to this refund dispute. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.  1-800 Accountant

After further review of this client's account we have determined we will refund all monthly charges of $149 due to services not being rendered for book keeping. However we have attached the receipt for purchase of the client's package that does include the $29.99 monthly fee and also details the cancellation policy at the bottom of the receipt. Therefore we will not be able to refund that monthly fee. The client will see a refund back on his card in 3-5 business days. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.  1-800 Accountant

We have reviewed this complaint and have determined that this client is eligible for a partial refund. We do apologize that this was not a good fit for the client. Per our cancellation procedures client must cancel within the first 30 days of service in order to receive a full refund. This client's...

sign up date was 8/*/16 and the client provided notice of cancellation on 9/**/16. However due to this client's experience we were willing to work with the client on refund of all monies paid except for consultation fees. We have provided this client a refund before this complaint was filed on 9/**/16 of $1300.00. The client will see this refund back on the original method of payment in 3-5 business days. We have reviewed the client's file and have determined that we are willing to refund the client's loan agreement and partial refund of the $695.  While the client did not utilize the business tax preparation, he had the option to roll over the business tax preparation to a personal tax prep at...

$295.  Based on this, we are willing to refund $400 of the $695.  We therefore request that the client confirm acceptance of the offer in order for us to issue the partial refund.

Review: I ordered the package of registering business S-Corporation from 1800accountant website. they charged me $249 for just their services in 06/**/2014. Tow days later, I paid $275 for Illinois Court bill that is separate from their bill. After 2 days I got just 2 papers that they claim it is my business doc. I asked them that they charged me $249 for a whole package including binder, stocks, stamp and etc....somebody called me back as a chief and mentioned that the person who charged you and sold the service does not working in this office any more and if you want the binder and the other stuff you gotta pay $100 more. I got so pissed and meet a lawyer in Chicago and he told me that even the article of the business is incomplete and he asked me to contact you. They gotta send me the whole package or 100% refund me.this is very serious for me ,if you don't attention I will go further....Desired Settlement: they are responsible for the complete business registration and the whole package of binder, stocks and stamps....

The service that the client purchased only included prepared incorporation, the retrieval of an EIN, an operating agreement and online state filing all of which we rendered. The client paid $149 for the prepared incorporation documents, EIN and operating agreement and $100 for the us to file her documents online with the state as opposed to her mailing them to the state. Based on this, there are no other services to be rendered and no refund will be issued. Thank you for your assistance regarding this matter.

Review: 1800 Accountant is grossly incompetent. In addition to the issues identified in the follow sections, we can provide email chains demonstrating that 1800 Accountant is often unresponsive, does not provide requested information, and does not consider our issues a priority. 1800 Accountant also appears to have misrepresented its qualifications. We have made numerous attempts to resolve these issues with 1800 Accountant to no avail.

1800 Accountant was paid $500 for payroll services between late September 2014 and early February 2015. Each payroll had multiple issues that were not addressed in a timely or professional manner. There are still several outstanding issues which are preventing us from enrolling with a new payroll service. 1800 Accountant has shown no urgency in resolving these matters and will not even acknowledge several of the issues.

In addition to the above issues, 1800 Accountant did not file several local and state returns resulting in several fines and interest due as shown below:

Late Filings/Missing Payments

• [redacted]) has no record of a filing or payment for ** 2014. 1800 Accountant withdrew the money from our checking account on 1/**/15. Unless [redacted] will waive the fees, we are subject to a $113 forfeiture and $7 of interest due per month.

• The [redacted] has no record of an annual filing (form [redacted]) for ** 2014 due on 1/**/2015. 1800 Accountant ([redacted] and [redacted]) would not respond our request for proof of state filing on 2/**/15 or 2/**/15. So we called the Department of Taxation and spoke to Representative [redacted] We were informed that form [redacted] was not submitted and past due. We are subject to at least a $50 forfeiture unless the State of Ohio is willing to waive these fees.

• [redacted] filing and payment for December 2014 was late. 1800 Accountant never made any filings or payments for [redacted]. We took it upon ourselves to submit a filing for ** 2014 and learned that monthly filing/payment was due for December because the withholding exceed $100. Unless [redacted] will waive the charges, we are subject to a $31 forfeiture plus interest on $310. We also had to submit the annual filing ourselves.

Finally, we purchased a package consisting of 1 business tax return, 2 personal returns, bookkeeping, and “unlimited tax consulting” for $2,190.00 ($1,990.00+ $200.00). 1800 Accountant advertises itself to be "licensed in all 50 U.S. states" ([redacted]). According to [redacted] at the [redacted] and the License Lookup page ([redacted]), neither 1800 Accountant nor our former [redacted], are licensed for the State of Ohio and should not be stating otherwise.Desired Settlement: For the payroll fees, we believe a 100% refund is due in the amount of $500.00. We are requesting a 100% refund due to incurring multiple issues each month, the lack of urgency in resolving issues which often spanned weeks to months, not responding to emails regarding these issues or requests for proof of filings, the amount of time we have had to invest, and the $200+ we are currently facing in fines and interest. In addition, we need the issued identified below resolved in order to switch to a new payroll service.

Issues:

• Locate missing $486.00 that 1800 Accountant withdrew from our account but [redacted] says it has not received. [redacted] must acknowledge payment. Alternatively, repay us $486.00.

• Provide revised payroll stubs for January and February with proper federal and state withholdings for employee **. According to the Department of Taxation and two other major payroll services, the federal and state withholdings are incorrect for employee ** due to treating the local school district as a deduction and calculating the other withholdings off the reduced balance.

• Correct under payment of federal and state taxes for January due to the above issue.

• Submit our federal and state tax payments for the month of February. This should be performed after revised paystubs are provided to ensure correct payment amount.

In the spirit of cooperation, we will take care of the following issues:

• Submit overdue [redacted] to [redacted].

• Submit overdue [redacted] to the [redacted]

• Payment of fines and interest for [redacted], State of Ohio, and [redacted]

We examined the amount of work performed and value added by 1800 Accountant as part of the accounting package. After careful consideration and taking into account that 1800 Accountant may not be licensed in the State of Ohio, we are requesting an 87.5% refund in the amount of $1916.25.

We are still working with this client to rectify his payroll and we offered the client a 75% refund for his tax package in the amount of $1492.50, a full refund for the additional partner personal return in the amount of $200 along with the 50% refund for the payroll services in the amount of $250. We informed the client of the offer but the client requested that we hold off until his payroll is rectified which we are currently working on. We categorically reject the request to put this complaint on hold. 1800 Accountant was notified of the late [redacted] filing/payment as well as the withholding issues on February *. The ** state filing was requested on February **, February **, and February ** but not provided. 1800 Accountant was informed on February ** that we contacted the state and learned that this form had not been filed. We have not heard from 1800 Accountant since February [redacted] In summary, 1800 Accountant has been "working" on these issues for weeks with little progress and no urgency. We are unable to hire another payroll provider because of the issues 1800 Accountant created and will not fix in a timely manner. [redacted] and [redacted] have turned down our business and requested we get 1800 Accountant to rectify these issues. Our employees have gone without pay since February 6 and will have to wait at least several more weeks for a pay check. In addition, the probability of missing more filings is increasing the longer we go without a payroll provider. Attached is a PDF containing the correspondence mentioned above.

1800 accountant is a total rip off. [redacted] was my sales guy and he completely lied to my face. He promised me free book keeping with the basic package (the only reason I signed up in the first place) which I soon found out was not true. He lied and said they use [redacted] which was convenient for me because I told him that was my book keeping program I use, not true. He told me I would have a personal accountant, not true. I was sent to a different person each time I called who barely spoke english. Even to speak to an accountant you have to schedule a meeting which usually takes about a week, then you get a 1/2 hour to talk. So then to get started on my income taxes, they send me a 40 page packet and ask me to fill it out. As I went through it I realized that I was basically filling out the tax forms myself, while they would do nothing but actually file it. This got me really upset. If they are not offering me the free book keeping I was promised, and Im basically filling out my own taxes, what am I paying for? When I asked the accountant this she said something like "mmm well...basically we do the filing." I said this was a scam and that she needed to do this. She replied by just saying "cant you just do it for me." I told her that I wanted to speak to her supervisor. She said I couldn't speak to him directly. She would ask him to call me back later. I did not accept this. I threatened her that If she would not let me speak to her supervisor and she would not do her job of actually doing my taxes that one way or another I would report her. Finally she caved and said alright send me your financial reports and I'll fill it out. Basically I called her out for not doing her job and she caved after I made a fuss. I asked her If she needed my bank statements and she said no. I asked then how would they know if my numbers where correct, and she said if it looks reasonable we let it go. Sounds sketchy to me. Finally without the help of this accountant I got a hold of a "supervisor" . I told him the whole story and stated that I either want a full refund or free book keeping. He said the best he could do was give be %50 back. I make very little money and every dollar counts. Without getting the full refund I could not afford another accountant. At this point im stuck with these guys. I told them I wanted to report them to the Revdex.com at which point they finally set me up with an accountant who spoke clear english and would be the only one working on my account. At this point we finally made some progress and my taxes where filed, but the whole experience was extremely disappointing, and a financial set back. As soon as my taxes where filed, my "personal accountant" showed little interest in helping me when I asked advice about payment plans. He said just call the [redacted], and that was it. Please Please Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

The client informed us that he will be contacting his attorney therefore this is no further recourse a a full refund will not be issued. Review: I was talked into buying business tax preparation for $695 and am not able to use it because the accountant that I was assigned to stated that it would be more advantages for me to file a personal return with a schedule C which would cost me an additional $299. I requested a refund for the $695 since I am not going to use it and they stated that they don't give refunds after 30 days. I couldn't request a refund within 30 days because I didn't find out until tax time that they sold me a product that I couldn't use. I feel that this is unfair and they should refund my $695 as well as the $200 that I paid for a business loan agreement that they never provided as well.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the services that I did not use.

Review: I paid 1-800 Accountant $3,678.00 in advance for their services. I have not yet used any of these services. I changed my mind and asked for a full refund. They said that I am only entitled to a partial refund because I canceled after the 30 day right to rescind time frame. However, no reference to this was made in previous emails I received from 1-800-Accountant. I have saved all prior emails. I also have an email from them stating "I can cancel anytime- no contract, no hidden fees".Can someone please help me get a full refund? Every time I call, If I get to speak to someone I always get the same response "Sorry I can't help you sir. This is not my department". Some days in trying to reach customer service I couldn't even leave a message because the "message quota was exceeded". My only contact with the billing department has been through email. The last email I received confirmed that I was only entitled to a partial refund of $594. I did not accept and they resubmitted my case for review. Furthermore, I never received an invoice disclosing exactly what I paid for in advance.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund in the amount of $3,678

Review: After receiving the documents for my LLC, I notified the company on February**, 2015 that there were misspellings in the documents of my name and the name of my intended LLC. I left voice mails and sent emails about the problem with no response from anyone. Finally, after calling again I received an amendment to sign on February **, 2015. I originally had paid for an expedited service and was expecting my LLC within a week. I requested that at this point (2 weeks after I paid for my LLC) the company dissolve the incorrect LLC and begin anew. I was told it would cost them more to do it that way, and that the amendment would only take a week or two. It is now April *, 2015 and I still have to received my correct LLC. Numerous times I have sent emails and left voicemails without receiving a response. On March **, 2015, I spoke with [redacted] about the status of my LLC. He said the amendment had been sent to the state on February **, 2015 and I should definitely have it back by Friday the [redacted]. I have been promised several times that my LLC would be completed by the end of the week. It is now 53 days from when I notified 1 800 accountant of the misspellings and I have not received my correct LLC.Desired Settlement: I need my LLC. I would like a complete refund on what I paid, due to the amount of time it has been, compared to what I was told it would be. I would like to receive daily contact about the status of my LLC. If the amendment can not be completed, I would like a new one to be set up for me right away.

I do not think the business did the job remotely as they advertised. It took another 10 days, after I myself called NY State an found out my amendment was completed, before the company responded to my complaint. They did nothing to inform me that my amendment was completed. I can say that the refund they are offering me is what this company should offer, but I wish to be done with this company and therefore accept the offer. I sincerely can not believe that they feel they did their job and deserve for me to pay them.

That said they email a responds with a confirmation that my request will be processed within 48 hours. Today 2/*/15 I was eamil "your membership has been cancelled", As a token of thier committment they will put on thier email list to get thier newsletter! After emailing them that I would be contacting FTC and the New York State Attorney General Office, sent email that my"account is still being reviwed by mananment regarding your refund request". Please allow 3-5 buisness for a resolution.

I have noted online complaints of this nature, I expect the full amount of $1,490, they are not going proform any services. That said I expect a full refund.Desired Settlement: As requested a refund, not emails and newsletters!

Review: Well I have nothing but problems with this company since I agreed to allow them to be my accountant. Little over 30 days into signing up I was calling to cancel. No taxes were filed at the time other then a few calls they told me I couldn't get my $1800.00 back so I had no choice but to stay I was trapped I have called many times no one answers calls or they transfer u around. I feel this is a company who took my money and has little to nothing for me if need I will be looking into legal action if needed.Desired Settlement: I want my money Back or I will be filing legal action. We have reviewed the client’s case and our records show that we prepared both the client’s personal and business return for the 2014 tax year and any additional services such as unlimited access to an accountant for questions was available to the client upon request. The client also mentions that he cancelled after 30 days and was denied a refund even though his taxes were not done. This was the case based on our policy which states that no refunds will be issued after 30 days. The client cancelled after 30 days therefore he was not eligible for a refund. Even though the client is outside of the policy and services were provided to the client, we are willing to extend a refund offer of $400. If the client accepts the refund offer, we request that he inform us through the Revdex.com and we will issue a refund in the amount of $400. We appreciate your assistance and the client’s patience regarding this matter.
