I was pleased with the initial response, but from there on it sort of went down hill. I did not receive a phone call, alerting me as to when the service man would arrive, all of a sudden, my door bell rang, and there he was. Because I am on a fixed and limited income, I asked if I could pay $100.00 right away, and remainder I would give them a check and date for June 27th. The home office offered to allow me to pay in full with a check dated for June 27th, which I thought was very nice and generous. Well, I gave them the check and dated for June 27th, and guess what, they deposited it. Their bank allowed it to go through, and now I have been charged an overdraft by my bank, with the possibility of 2 or 3 more to follow. I feel , that A1 should be responsible for these overdrafts. Plus I was and I told service person of my contemplation of replacing the door and adding a lift. If I ma going to be stuck paying these fees, there is absolutely no way that I would do business with a firm that does not live up to their commitment. Plus, I am not overly happy, with the way the repaired door operates, it wants to roll back down, and not slowly, but fast, and hit the ground with a lot of force, and a bang.

I have used A1 garage door twice now. My first repair was done by technician, Harris. He was efficient, friendly, courteous. He knew within the first ten minutes what was wrong. My second repair (different house) was done by technician, Greg. He knew what was wrong, and everything was completed in about three hours time. Both technicians are an asset to your company. A job well done. I would definitely recommend A1 to any of my family and friends that need a garage door repair.

Have used A1 for just over a year now. Bought a brand new door and opener last year when the old door was just beyond repair. My tech (Greg) was awesome and very helpful in the purchasing phase. My installer (Jimmy) was fast, efficient and thorough.

A1 did an awesome job. I had three overhead doors and an automatic opener replaced. I was very pleased with the work that was done. The technician, Jimmy, did an excellent job. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was cleaned up and explained to me before he left. I would definitely recommend A1 Garage.

I came home Saturday evening to find a frayed, broken cable hanging down in front of my garage door. I called A1 on the recommendation of a friend. They scheduled an appointment for Monday. The technician came, evaluated the situation and provided me with three options. Within 1-1/2 hours my garage door was fixed. I am happy with the service and will likely have them come back in the fall for additional tune-up service.

Called the company and had a guy out in mid February. He gave us a quote. It took over 3 weeks and multiple calls to schedule an appt for a Saturday. I am a teacher and coach sports in the evenings during the week. Finally got an appt, paid half down, and the guy came out. He said that he couldn’t install my door as the first guy Mis-measured plus there is a cord he wasn’t sure what to do about. He said that someone would call me on Monday so they could check for the right panels and reschedule. I also noted that I had a $300 dollar off coupon and when the person called me back I said that I wanted to talk with a manager. *** called of course while I was at work and said they were getting on a flight but to leave a message and they’d call back. He called back and left a message that due to already receiving another discount that it should be satisfiable. I tried to call back again to talk to *** with no luck and leaving messages again. It has been another week without use of my garage since we were told to clear it or push everything to the back. It will now be April 1st on Monday and I still don’t have a new door plus having already paid $369.00 towards it.

Let me start by saying the repair on my garage door was done just fine. My tech (Greg) was friendly and did the job quick however my issue is with the mark up on the parts they used. For example I was charged $99 for cable. After searching on amazon and menards I saw you can get a pair of cables between $6 and $15. I was also charged $99 for 8ft cable drums. Amazon and menards had them priced between $8 to $24. Another charge I had was $330 for double spring replacement. The price I found online was between $26 and $60. My final part was sealed ball bearing rollers. I was charged $130 but online they where between $15 and $20. If you do the math the markup on most these parts is close to 500%. That is ridiculous! I would suggest using a company that doesn't take advantage of their customers.

I was very pleased with the service I received from A1 Grade Door Repair. The technician was prompt, did the work efficiently and he was very polite and knowledgeable. Also the office staff were very helpful when I called for a service appointment. I would highly recommend this business.
