The "X" factor that Eric has is he completely explained the work he was performing; the testing limits, observations he made during the inspection and any cautionary notes he thought appropriate. Additionally he reviewed past service inspection records to familiarize himself with past corrective action. This tech/homeowner transparency may drive "corporate" crazy but from a homeowner's perspective it's the bedrock of good customer service.
