ADT should not have an A+ rating w/ Revdex.com w/ a 76% customer satisfaction! Their management is unresponsive to problems in the field with installation & billingResponded to ad for $27.99/ mth for wireless security protection, plus equipment charges, all charged to my credit cardWhen I got credit card bill days later, monthly charges had almost doubled to $/mth Called Corporate Office & told them to pick up equipment & cancel agreement since it was NOT in accordance to my understandingBegan getting harassing phone calls 2-times a day threatening to trash my credit if I didn't pay & offered no cancellation plan, saying equipment, which I have disconnected & offered to return it to them if they don't come to pick it up, belongs to me Fortunately, my credit card reversed the bogus charges & entered fiasco into dispute ADT is guilty of bait & switch and scammingNo company with 25% of deals that turn sour( quoted from rep with ADT) should ever enjoy a BOGUS rating of A+!!! Revdex.com should be ashamed to over-rate a company practicing these types of actions, since it lowers the integrity and dependability of accreditation!

If I could leave a zero star rating I would This company is terrible Experienced all of the same issues as others with cancelling the service After cancelling the third time(!) they continued to call, DAILY!, stating that the service was not cancelled When cancelling the Second (!) time the guy, asked "why are you cancelling?" I responded that we have a dog (ANYTHING to get them moving along) to which he responded "Well, you should know that people that break in and will kill the owners dogs to prevent them from making noise" BEYOND APPALLING BUSINESS (?) PRACTICE I have no idea how this company retains an A+ rating

Charged and sent to collection company in error I called in June of to set up services in my apartmentI was told by customer service rep that I would be charged for services after installationI received a charge for I called ADT to inquire about the charge because my services weren't scheduled to be installed until June 22, I asked for a refund and cancelled the work order for installationI received a refund on June 15, A few months later, I started to receive a bill in the amount of $from ADTI called spoke to a manager in the billing department on November 12,and the balance was added in error and would be removedI received a call today on January 13, from [redacted] where the account has been moved to a debt collector to obtain the balance that is still on the account from June This account was sent to their office on January 14, exactly one year from nowI would like to report this business for this

The security system company claims they care for your safety, they do not careNot only did one of their reps come to my house, take money from me, try and steal my equipment all behind a deceptive salePromising to upgrade my security system, but ADT DID NOTHING ABOUT IT!!! I sent them the police report I had to file, with the police confirming video surveillance of their ADT rep illegally in my house, frauding me, with a written statement of what happened and whenTheir rep disconnected my services, cut the wires in my home box, and would have taken my equipment, but didn't purely because I told him I owned themAll while my children played in their room next usI called ADT after realizing what had happenedMany times ADT promised to dissolve my account, as a courtesy because their system no longer made me feel safeIt's been and 1/months, and I am still getting harassing calls from their collection departments, because they LIED!!! I've spoken to manager after managerEach on saying they will fix it, each one not fixing it ADT is a dishonorable companyThey promise safety and security and DO NOT DELIVER I have been ill from all thisStressed out of my mindAll this did was make the painful experience of being burglarized feel so much worseADT has violated my sense of feeling safe in my homeI recommend this company to no one

Extremely poor service! Our ADT system, installed in 2016, never worked properly (continual alarms, despite repeated service calls)As a consequence, we decided to never arm the system, and tried to cancelI was extremely rudely advised by a "supervisor" that I could not cancel the service before years, without incurring an enormous penalty When I called ADT again last month (July, 2018), I was advised that I could cancel with a reasonable penaltyI was also advised that they would continue the service for years at approximately a 60% discount from my $55/month chargeOf course I elected to cancel the service, as the penalty was less than the aggregate cost of continuing When the service was discontinued (today), the control box started "beeping." I called ADT to ask how to stop this unwanted noise, and was given instructions a) to remove the battery, and, when that did not stop the "beeping," b) to disconnect the transformer, which I could not locate I then requested a service call to disconnect the system, and was told that ADT will NOT make a service call to disconnect the system Having removed the cover of the control box, I noted that there appeared to be a plastic horn-like deviceI asked the agent if by cutting the wires to that device this would disable the "beeping." He replied that it wouldI did cut the wires and that did stop the beeping However, this dis not stop powering the control box, which remains active, though no longer connected to the ADT monitoring system In my opinion, ADT is irresponsible, untrustworthy and I will advise all of my friends and associates of my poor experience with the company

I have spent hours over the past 48h trying to have an urgent safety concern and now a cancelation of my service dealt with but I can't get a response Since my service contract began nearly a year ago I have had countless issues with the system and have had to call ADT countless time for service repairs, which has failed to resolve the ongoing issuesWhile they claim to be a security company, my home is now less secure than with no system at allMy garage door, which is part of my service, now opens and closes spontaneously and I have no control itThis is obviously a concern since my home is being left exposed to public access without my controlThis issue initially started shortly after the service was installed, after waiting several days for "service appointment" it was temporarily repairedThe issue has started again and is much much worseBut whats most concerning is that I have spent the last hours attempting to deal with this issue and after separate phone calls th

We just bought a new home and the home had previously had an ADT system installed so we thought it would be much easier to go with company as opposed to getting new wiring through another company. We found online that we can get service coverage from ADT at $53 a month and we thought it was safer to go with an established company even if it was a bit higher monthly pmt. When we called to set up an appointment we let them know that we already had adt wiring and what not and that we wanted the service we saw on on phone for $54 or so dollars. They scheduled an appointment did'nt really ask much and so we had a tech come out. The first thing the tech said was we need to replace this old device (keypad) it was out dated and he went to work right away. after about 30 minutes he came and said lets take a walk through of the home and name the rooms. He said ok ill get the paperwork together and ill be back. We thought it was great as the customer service agent had previously told us that the whole thing would take 1-2 hours and we thought he was finished. Well come to find out, we had to pay for equipment. total was about $4,000.00 as he also included 1k in smoke detectors. Of course we looked at each other in disbelief as we where never mentioned of these fees we had no idea that each device was $150.00 and smoke detected (we did'nt ask for) $250.00. We told him thank you but at this time we just purchased a home and we had all our expenses figured out and we could not afford this expense. Mind you he arrived at about 3 pm Thursday, by 5 pm we where still trying to convince this man we could not afford it. We called ADT again to complain about the false information and they said the guy was installing too much in the home and described it as "OVERKILL". We had to pick up my daughter from school during rush hour it takes approx 45 mins to get to her. We had not moved into the home yet she is still in her old school. This guy takes no for an answer and would not leave. The supervisor we spoke to at ADT asked us to him to STOP the installation and he tech just called his manager and he asked me to talk to him. So we have two calls one with the services sup adn one with the techs's managers both talking to me and my partner at the same time. Im expecting soon and I had been there since 9 am and only had breakfast so im desperate for a solution. The guy finally said that the equipment could stay and it would only be $750 for the system. We did not understand what the charges where for and when we where mowing our lawn right before sunset the technician asked us to create profiles and to sign a contract so we did. We did not understand or really hear what he was saying as we had another guy trimming the grass. My partner was then dragged off the lawn by the guys and spoken to, not sure what he was told or anything (mind you this is my home, hes my boyfriend the account is in his name). He did not understand what the tech said and he did not even understand the instructions on how to use the system. The guys said, im going to show you how this works but its going to go very fast ok. Call us if you have questions and left. We wake up at 7 am the next day and later realize that we had a text alert for a robbery in hour home at 3:58 am. We call ADT and tell us that the service will not start until 7 pm that night and so they did not call the police. We take the 35 minute drive up to the home not knowing what to expect and still a bit scared to be honest as I'm pregnant and see that one one the alarms the newest and practically best equipment they have fell out and is laying on the floor. Also come to find out that we were charged $900 NOT $750 as promised. Did I mention that the Tech left after sun down and we got home at 8:20 that night due to all this. I want this contract terminated adn need help finding out how to go about doing it. Please assist as the tech said we had 3 days to cancel but I do not believe anything he says as my boyfriends tells me he was already charged to his card. This is too much stress for me

ADT's Failure to terminate service request by [redacted] On September 30th we called the ADT customer service to inform them that we no longer needed the service and we wanted it cancelled [redacted] was not under any contractual obligations and we expected that the service would be cancelled,however after a few weeks we were still receiving a bill from ADT We contacted them again and sent a letter requesting that the service be terminated After calling the customer service again we were told to fax a letter which we did To date almost five months later we are still being charged for a service we no longer have used since last year The business has vacated the location of the service address since last October ADT needs to cancel the service for [redacted] with immediate effect and the outstanding billing amount vacated from the company's profile The account number is XXXXXXX To date we have been receiving

After a series of setting the alarm off and not receive any type of response from ADT to check on my home I decided to change monitoring serviceThe new company sent a tech to install the system and he told us that we should receive a call within minutes from ADT once he disconnect the old systemA few months later I received a call from ADT to renew the monitoring service and was told that they had stop by our home to check on the system the week priorWell, I know this is a lie cause if they had stopped by my home they would have seen that there was another monitoring sign in my yardThe next lie is that they was monitoring a system that was disconnect for the past few monthsThe final lie they tell is that their system components are not compatible with other systems but my new provider connect the components from ADT and added new equipment to the new system and I have not had any problemsI would not recommend using this coming to my worse enemyMy neighbors ran into very similar situations with this company too

Our prior address was [redacted] in [redacted] XXXXX We cancelled our service and are being charged much more then rep saidn The ADT sales rep said we would owe $if we cancelled our service contract earlyWhen we moved we contacted ADT who said we have to pay percent of what we would have paid to finish out the contractThe sales person blatantly lied to us because he knew we were probably going to move so he could still make the saleWhat an unethical company

Our fire alarm went off one evening and we never received a call from ADT We called to confirm service and they had us test the system and advised us the alarm wasn't working We are not sure how long we were paying for an unmonitored system We scheduled a service call and the next day we received an email that our bill was going up At that point we decided to cancel our account Trying to cancel has been a time consuming nightmare I was on hold for a long time and was transferred to a high pressure employee After going around and around, I finally advised him to cancel my account and cancel the service call About three hours later we received a call from ADT confirming the service call which required another phone call This is where we stand as of todayIt is important to note that we had a similar problem with ADT a few years prior with the alarm service address being incorrect for about a year and a half If the alarm had gone off the police would have responded to another address Don't waste your money on this service

They are continuing to charge me a monthly fee after canceling my service I sold my house notified Adt the new home owner signed a new contract I contacted adt they said I did not give them a 30 day notice I informed the customer service rep he was very rude I explained everything to him so I let him know since we could not get any further with him I will contact the RevDex.com he told me go right ahead so that's what I'm doing now Product_Or_Service: Alarm system Account_Number: XXXXXXXXXX

An activation fee that I was told was waived was taken from my checking account without permission refund still not posted to my account The activation fee that I was told was going to be waived was taken from my checking account when I called and spoke to the seemingly incompetent billing department about it I was transferred to the sales department to deal with a billing issueSales transferred me back to the billing department when told of the issue the lady apologized and said that the refund would be posted in 3-daysToday is days out so I called ADT, the guy who answered the phone in the billing department after he finished letting me talk said that refund takes 7-days told him that's not what I was told and I wanted to speak to someone over him, he immediately said no one was available told him I was going to wait he said he would put a request in for someone to call me back told him that wasn't good enough he asked what was told him to get someoneHe put me on hold

I called ADT to make repairs to my system (I pay extra for servicing)I found out that my system had not been communicating with ADT for over a monthI was told that I would be charged $for the first half hour and $for increments of fifteen minutes It made me upsetI have been with ADT for over years I called to cancel my service and spoke to *** She said she would cancel my service but wanted to hear my story She listened and promised to have my service restored without charging me and to give me a monthly credit for the inconvenience However, before all this would take place, she changed the subject to me signing up for three more years That is not why I called; but that is what I wound up with I have paid quarterly for ten yearsI didn't need a contract But before the credit was entered and the system repaired, I was duped in to saying yes over the phone When the technician did not arrive on the appointed day and there was no note of a loss of service credit, I called to rescind the contract I was told that I passed the day of rescinding and there was nothing I could do I was told that I should have read the contract I signed years agoI would have known that I only had days to rescind I do not think it is right to treat a long time customer this way I cant charge ADT for non performance or not showing up on time or having to accept a hour window to get service I do not want to be locked in to another years and I still don't have a working system This is not the way to treat a long time customer Respectfully, ***

In July I began an account with ADTIt was recommended that I utilize the Cloud system with an internet service provider OptimumIt has been a comedy of errors on part of Optimum and ADT who do not play well together and always blaming each other for any error in serviceFirst, we needed several visits for just installation and making the product workRealize that I am not a technician and told several times to fix an access problem aloneSometimes you get lucky and have a person who is patient enough to assistThe main problem with ADT is their customer serviceIn the time I have had this account and called maybe three or four times it literally takes 45-minutes just to get an operatorTheir automated keeps quoting about their excellent service yet you stay on holdToday I called and after being placed on hold for about an hour I was transferred to the camera department and in turn to another automated service which I later learned was BrivoI left a message for access to my administrative log inThe original contract was scribbled in and is unreadable In February my camera was out pretty much just about twenty days of the monthI tried to call to notify ADT and was told to collect dates and call backBy the time I got around to it March was hereIt appears after thirty days this information is not available Since last year I had another security device placed in my home in another property and decided not to go with ADTI chose SlominsSo far the customer service is good and thinking about expanding the serviceLastly, the contract originally sign says I received training on certain aspects of this system which I never didI also needed the insurance certificate and was never able to access this via their website Sincerely yours, [redacted]
