ADT charged our credit card with $on September 3, We do not owe the money because the service was cancelled on June 1, We signed a 3-year contract with ADT for installation and monitoring a residential alarm systemWe were told that if we moved, there would not be a cancellation fee if the new owner assumed the contractDue to health reasons, we had to move during the first week of June which was 1/years after signing the ADT contractWe cancelled the service at the time of movingThe house sold immediately and the new owner assumed the ADT contractADT informed us that we did not owe additional money beyond the last monthly payment which was made in JuneOn September 3, they charged our credit card with $When we called them to contest the charge, they said they had taken our records out of their system and had no way of explaining what happened

ADT is NOT following up on my complaint after two phone calls to remove the Camera installed 5/ I reinstated my ADT system on 5/ There is nothing in my contract that states we had days to cancel It does states, however we have months to cancel installation In speaking to Brandi Davis on the 5/she said we cant cancel and would have to pay $1600- it wasn't a full week Prior to speaking w/ Brandi I spoke with a gentlemen from the tech department to see if I was missing some much needed features that would make this camera install more appeasing I was informed by Ms [redacted] that someone would call me but that has yet to happen I feel as though Im being ignored because I DO NOT WANT THEIR CAMERA SECURITY SERVICEIf they can produce a fully executed contract which shows we agreed to or was informed about a day cancellation then fineIF not, I want this equipment off and my $$$ back

Called in to cancel my service in the safe contract cancel period and was told the systems were down so I would need to be called backhours later (outside of the safe contract cancel period)At this point I was told I would need to pay a fee to cancel my serviceADT hides this process behind sub contractorsEither way it is extortionI owned all of my equipmentI owe nothing but the monthly service to ADT which I do not wantStill I stuckI can provide evidence that I called in during the safe period to cancel yet they decline to listen to reason If you are not safe from extortion by your security system do you really think you are secure with them in your home? I would research security companies that have better reviews before doing business with ADTIn my opinion any company that has to hide behind tricks and contacts to make money is [redacted] and incapable of making money legitimately

I received a bill from ADT on 03/21/informing me that my April bill was now past dueInvoice Date 04/01/$58.65Previous balance: $4.66, (my bill is payed fully using Autopay monthly) I question this charge?I have contacted ADTI was told I need to pay bill in advance?ADT is defrauding their customers out of millions of dollars in interest on prepaid bills.ADT: Tricksters, Liars and Thieves! ADT has deceived me with deceptive practices on more then one occasion however specifically this event is what my complaint is about June 27, MrNaren [redacted] , CEO ADT Corporate Office Headquarters Yamato Road Boca Raton, FL XXXXX Dear Sir: I am writing to you as no one at ADT will allow me to speak with you, as a CEO I would have thought that you were not untouchable to speak with especially when it involves your companyThat being said, I am sure when this letter reaches Boca Raton, that it will be handled just as my phone call You should; in my opinion speak with your customers Several weeks ago I received several phone calls from ADT regarding an upgrade to my radio basystem; I was told that an upgrade from 2G to 3G is needed in my homeI explained to each caller from ADT that I was positive that my radio was a 3G radio(I am completely surprised that ADT does not have any idea of what equipment I have in my home)I reluctantly agre

the letter announcing the coming of pulse was the first upgrade from ADT since we signed up with them six years agoToday's visit from tech was enlightening, this is nothing but a scam to sell new equipment for over 500.00!!!! needless to say I declined and forced the tech to replace mobile phone as promised in the propaganda...he did so rather ungracefully Myadvise?? stay away from ADT

After being an ADT customer for years, I decided to shop around for other systemsFound another company that offered updated technology (touchscreen, cameras, the whole nine) for the same amount ADT was charging to monitor my door sensorsI swiftly cancelled my ADT, on that call they offered to knock my bill down to $20/month instead of my current $(sg evidence already)Since cancelling, I get 2-calls everyday from ADT trying to get me to switch back and do business with them againThey notoriously "disconnect" from complaint calls, and requesting to be placed on a no call list is a waste of breathThe best customer to them is the one that never calls and never shops around to see what other competitors charge, just blindly tossing them money each month

This is the worst Company I have ever dealt with I called ADT a month before my Contract expired to make sure it was understood that they do not have the authorization to renew my Contract I fulfilled my obligation months later I am still receiving bills and phone calls If they do not respond to my 2nd written request, I will file a legal complaint So much of my time wasted on this nonsense

please see below I have been trying to cancel my ADT services since december 15, every time I get on the phone with a rep they transfer me to another rep than to another, its been extremely frustrating while they keep charging metwo weeks ago a manager called me but they have yet to cancel, I tried again today 3/22/17, I was still unable to cancel it it seems like they are purposely incurring charges so they can send my account to collection please help act # XXXXXXXXX

When I had called to cancel after years I was treated rudelyI called a week later they said they see I cancelled but did not do proper procedure I called to upgrade my system(after being with adt for years)I was told someone would return my callI waited a week and nobody returned my callI figured if they can not call me for an upgrade what are they doing with monitoring my systemSo I decided to look elsewhereI found another companyThey came out deactivated the adt system without any call from adt or police and then installed their systemOnce the other company was installed I called adt to cancelI was treated rudely and was told I owed $I was upset and confused but apparently after years I decided last year to put in a new pad and at that time I was signing a year contract which I was unawareMY FAULT for not reading the extremely small fine printAnyhow I told them to send me the billI did not receive anything after a week I called them againTh

DO NOT USE ADTI have had the worst exerience with customer service and then getting into a dealer disputeTheir customer service employees are trained to upsell you and force you into signing thingsMy customer service rep told me he had minutes left on his shift and I needed to sign the document before then Word to the wise: if you are using an old system, double check if it is through an authorized dealer and not ADT itselfI got in a dealer dispute for not knowing better and was punished by having to wait to get my system installedInstead of using their local authorized dealers as an extension of themselves, ADT is greedy and will try to take the customers back even if they haven't signed anything

I have had ADT for over a yearI have called for service numerous times, and we still do not have a dependable signal and are without service When we met initially with the ADT rep, we told them there were issues with all phone service except [redacted] He assured me that he was getting a solid signal, and we purchased $in equipmentWe have been paying over $per month and still do not have coverage The system fails multiple tines a day, and as far as we can tell, we haven't had protection for over a month The las service tech that came out couldn't get a signal from our system to even run a testI called again and stated that I wanted to file a presidential complaint, but was assured someone would be out today, when they returned from vacation, but I neither received a call or a service visitI have spent too much money and time on the phone for a system that doesn't work The date of the problem has been ongoing since November I paid by check

ADT is not friendly to long-time customers When you are a new customer, they are happy to have you then when you have equipment problems (mine hasn't worked properly for years), they can't guarantee they will be able to fix it or even give an estimate of how much it will cost without paying a service fee They knew what the problem was and it wasn't a mystery how much window sensors cost (for them) it shouldn't have been that difficult to get an answer on why something has been malfunctioning They just want to send someone out to test and ensure everything is working - well this is exactly what they did in the beginning and it has never worked correctly Originally I was going to stay with them because it was easier (already had everything installed) and upgrade to home automation with my current system But, after talking to the sales person, they couldn't guarantee they would be able to fix the problems I was having with my window sensors or give me an idea of the cost So, when I called to cancel the upgrade, they told me they couldn't refund my entire amount because a payment would be coming out soon and I would receive the difference after the payment came out Then I decided, why am I even with them, paying for a system that hasn't worked in years? So I cancelled everything and was told I would receive the entire amount Well, guess what, I didn't receive the entire amount, they still took out a payment, even though the agent promised me he had cancelled all payments and removed a payment source when he canceled my service So, now I don't even know if they did cancel my service since it will take a MONTH to get a confirmation letter Super dissatisfied and nobody offered to make things right about fixing my system until I told them I was cancelling service - only thing they care about Oh, now after an hour on chat, they are telling me I need to talk with someone else I hate ADT and will never use them again! If this does not get resolved, I will be filing an official complaint

I had been a CPI customer for years and decided to switch to ADT based on additional needs and information shared with me by othersHowever, starting with the misleading salesman, a rude and arrogant technician , and the horrible customer service I've experienced, I regret ever signing up with ADT and can't wait until I can return to CPIThey claimed to give me one free month, but actually didn't because today I got double billed and was told that was correctEach time I called customer service, the different reps would provide inconsistant information and refuse to let me speak with a supervisor, claiming to take care of the problem.Isn't anyone at ADT corporate headquarters listening to the customers? ADT lack integrity, qualified staff, and poor serviceI am years old and never thought a national company would allow customers to be treated this way, especially to take advantage of senior citizens who live on a fixed incomeADT should be ashamed! Cancelled my account back in Jan / Feb, company told me that there would be a day wait and a $charge to close account.Agreed to this and thought this was done.New bill today 4/13/ and account is still open First year into contract I received to calls from adt collection department.Paid one year in advance and somehow the payment wasn't ever showing up on the corporate side.Months and months of harassment and in the end ADT said they were at fault for harassing me.Stuck out the contract and cancelled.ADT at this point says account is still active

I purchased service with the company over a year ago, and they never finished the installation of the original agreed upon contract When I purchased the contract I was told I'd receive the smoke detector, window sensors, door sensors and a glass break sensorWhen the technician came to my house, he didn't have any glass break sensors with himI was told when he got the sensors back in stock, he would arrange to come back out and install itStill a year later, I have seen nobody and every time I call over to ADT, I'm transferred to an outside company who keeps me on hold for up to minutes at a timeI was told once that a service technician would come to my house on a Saturday between 8am and 12pm, so I waited at home and WASTED an entire half of a Saturday waiting for someone to show up that never came outWhen I called back to inquire I was told "we don't show any record of that being scheduled." Salesperson ran hard credit inquiry without my approval, hurting my FICO score I was interested in an ADT security system for my home and inquired on-lineI receive a phone call from a sales associate, [redacted] , on 7/10/from telephone # 1(***) [redacted] He asked for my birthdate and last of my SSN during his sales pitch and never mentioned anything about a credit check (I wouldn't have authorized it anyway as I was planning on paying cash)On 7/11/18, my FICO score dropped due to a hard credit inquiry WITHOUT my permission I will never do business with a company who practices this type of illegal processThey MUST inform their clients if a credit check is OK

The contract period for ADT was 1/26/thru January 2013, per ADT service representative I entered a contract with CPI on 10/13/ There were several subsequent verbal acknowledgements that my monitoring services were being handled by [redacted] However, ADT continued to debit my account for monitoring services until notified by letter of my desire to be reimbursed for these erroneous charges ADT responded that my letter would serve as the cancellation notice, but no monies would be refunded I contend that for nearly years, ADT was charging me for a service that they were not providing The occasions that called for security response were answered by [redacted] not ADT The facts are indisputable and I view ADT's response as unacceptable The total unearned charges amount to approximately $and I would like to be reimbursed Product_Or_Service: ADT Security Monitoring Services Account_Number: VXXXXXXXXX
