Sales rep came around telling me he would cancel other service if I went with him and I'm still paying on both alarms A rep from adt came to my home and set me up back in June of I was told he would cancel my precious company and pay balance for meI am still paying on both alarms and not even getting the service I was providedI have taken all alarms o of my home because attorney general told me to remove everything and get information on all parties that mislead and lied to meAdt Wong do anything to help me and I owe them 320$ if I want to cancelI never got the service I was promised and I am paying on both alarms and my alarm before has a longer contract so they came and pt the system back and adt won't let me cancel and never let me cancelI'm upset I was lied to and paying on so many alarms right now when I shouldn't be paying on any since none are workingMy alarm center I am paying has their system in here but it has problemsAll alarm companies that send people

After being an ADT customer for just months, we were broken into on New Years dayThe company initially told me that my two-way speaker system would allow them to hear if there was an intruder in our home and be able to dispatch police with a confirmed break inFALSEInstead, they called me to tell me there was a confirmed break in and ask if they should dispatch policewhat a waste of timeThe whole point of getting a security system is to expedite the time of police arrival After we filed our police report, I called ADT to discuss getting a new sensor since our front door had been kicked in and the sensor had been damagedI was told without remorse that the sensors being damaged during a burglary is not covered in the warranty and I was going to have to purchase a new oneNo one in the company seemed to understand or care that my house had been burglarized on their watchThere was never any empathy or apologies involved Then when I called to cancel my service, I was forwarded to a very snippy and monotone woman who did not try to keep my business or listen about my complaintsInstead, she told me that I had the first days to cancel and should have done so thenHow could I have known in the first three days that my security company would not have my back when I actually needed them as a security company?! I will tell everyone within earshot of the promises ADT offers to prevent them going through this

About a month or so ago, a technician came to my home check to see what was going on with the system First he told me that I needed to pay him at the spot $in order to proceed with his job The number of months I have been with ADT and have had technicians come to the house to fix issues I have never been told that I had to pay directly to the technician nor a bill will be sent to me While I asked him if he could bare with me to speak with a ADT representative for clarification, he was rude, very impolite and while my one year old son following me and was by the door; the technician open the door and hit my son on his face and while I defended my son he also hit my unborn child At the time I was months pregnant After he did what he did he got in to his vehicle and stormed off I immediately called to ADT to file a complaint against the technician My system is still not fixed and I am stuck because it does not work properly and I am really frustrated with everything I have gone through with ADT since the first month All I want ADT to do is break my contract and let me go for good but for one reason or another they are being so ignorant and finding excuses why I cannot get out of the contract Hopefully in this review/compliant ADT will be able to help me out to break my contract If anyone is reading this, please do not go to ADT; customer service is horrible and also their technicians Please reconsider and do research before signing a contract

The total lack of service and transparency has soured me against this company forever I will never give them my business again and will encourage all of my friends, family, acquaintances to go elsewhere

I am a long standing customer of ADT When I had an outage due to the failure of their equipment I called for a technician to come to the house I was told it would be days before one could get here This is simply unacceptable and terrible customer service Everyone should know this

Charged to replace faulty equipment, then given the run around, and then unauthorized funds taken from our credit card When we moved, a tech came, and installed a couple of motion sensors, a cell box, and a couple of wireless window contactsHe left a cable sticking out of the family room wall, and said that they keypads (installed when the house was built in 2001) "would do" We have not been able to properly arm or disarm that system with those keypads, as the contacts appeared to be worn, and pressing the numbers never really made contact, so the alarm would go offSo, we did not arm itIt has been so bad, I have become agoraphobic because I do not want to leave my animals in an unprotected home I contacted ADT before I was due to have major eye surgery, and asked if they could change the faulty keypads with something with a slightly bigger screen, because I was blind in my right eye, and the keypads have never really worked They wanted to charge us $ I was put

By far the worst establishment I have ever dealt withThey sell u the equipment and then you become a prisoner of their unprofessional, irreverent incompetenceIn October I upgraded to include cameras, technicians have been out to calibrate fox the camera a total of 15+ timesAppointments were made, technicians arrived after the window period, each time I would need to take time from worktimes in a month [redacted] from scheduling canceled a rescheduled appointment in a day I already took of because she states they had no technician As I am writing this I am still waiting for the tech since 8am it's now 2pm, and I was the alleged first appointmentCustomer service rep had the nerve to have an attitude because I told her how long I was waitingCurrently trying to get another company but the customer ends up losingI nust got the service in Aoril very dissatisfied but feel stuckAlso their sales reps are very deceptiveIt's best to go elsewhere

Installation incomplete as of due to tech did not have proper tools for installation But still auto withdraw from my bank every month! After years of complaining that my installation is still not complete due to installation tech did not have proper tools to install, I finally reach someone in Customer Service today who confirmed this I am moving on the 29th to St Croix and was informed I will be charged almost $to cancel!!!! This is totally unacceptable!! I should be refunded every penny I have GIVEN ADT for years!!

Sent to collections for no reason On May 14th, I contacted ADT due to concern over my account bill being too high compared to a competitor (who was willing to buy my contract out if I would switch) On that same day I was told my bill could be lowed if I switched to the Pulse Video service and that ADT would give a huge discount on some new smart servicesI agreed to all of this with the installer scheduled for the next dayDuring this time, I also set up 3-pay for the equipment with the first payment coming out June 15thI received a call back about hours later with the technician apologizing for incorrect information and that I would have to be charged an extra $100+ dollars for a electrician to come outThe technician mentioned she would give me one month free due to the trouble (which I never received) ON May 15th the installer installed everything except for the NEST thermostat due to the electrician not being able to come outHe charged me for the NEST since I would have m

For the past two years we have been unhappy with our system and became even more concerned when our original agreement with Reliance was moved to ADTFor the past two + years we have been paying for cameras that have not been working and even after we complained we never had any action only no shows from RelianceThen we find out ADT has taken over the company and we continue to pay for a service that we did not receive however I have been at home during this time so I became complainant until it became closer to me finding employment and the house being vacant againNow comes the issues! Since contacting ADT I have had two techs come to the house and after the first tech affixed and spent over three hours in my home the only solution he had was that we need to UPGRADE OUR SYTEM at a cost of $plusHe couldn't get the cameras to work (surprise that is why I called)I had the service manager call me and not only elude that I was a full of it and never complained in the first place, and then it was determined that he didn't have access to the previous ownership (WHAT?) and took a different path and told me that it was to bad and that if I wanted my cameras to work I would have to pay the extra fee to get a camera that would work bacause my wi fi is not recognized by ADTWe use Netgear which is one the the most popular and effectiveI followed up with head office and was treated like, well, you knowAt one point I was on hold for minutes before I hung up and called backLong story short I had to call back four times to get any resolutionThey agreed to send out a tech to install a PAW system in order to get the cameras to workI waited and other couple of weeks to have a senior tech come out and figure out how to get the cameras to work over the Netgear however needed to upgrade the camerasWell it has been over a week and we only have one camera working and the video still doesn't workI just want out of this contract because I am tired of being treated like garbage and not getting any resolution

I had ADT as a security service and later moved because of workWhen I called to cancel, they hit me with a large cancellation chargeThe customer service representative was not helpful in resolving my complaint and said there was no clause to cancel the contract other than passing awayNeedless to say, ADT did not act in the best interest of their customer and they have now lost a future customer as well

My system does not work, has not worked, and no tech has been able to solve the problem yet they will not let me out of contract When I signed a contract several months back, I was expecting that I would be recieving a product that worksSince that time, I have had batter malfunctions that could not be fixed, cell tower in-communication causing a constant beeping at 4am waking my whole family, a new panel put in, and then an alarm went off while we were un-home and ADT did not communicate with us or the policeI have finally decided that I have had enough after I was told that I would be receiving months FREE service for our troubles, and only received monthI would like to be released from this contract as ADT has failed to protect my house and my family with a product that does not workThey have cost me over $1,in missed time from work to be at home awaiting service calls in an attempt to fix the multiple problems that have not been resolved

I have been a customer for over years I have had several issues with the system and ADT has been at my house multiple times (just this year) ADT always had an excuse for why the alarm would malfunction, they did even replace a few things....however, I did not get my system for free I paid $for the install and equipment My issue is when the system does go down it it usually weeks for them to come and fix they system They DO NOT credit you for the inconvenience of no use Also I had an instance where the alarm was set-off, and the police did not respond for hours When I said something I was told ADT is not a priority call for police I have since looked into this (I have a friend married to a deputy sheriff) and it was confirmed Since learning this, I have installed cameras and called to cancel ADT Well, were we given the run around Five people, and over an hour later - I am told I have to wait days for it to be cancelled and I have to pay a cancellation fee and maintenance fee of $103! I didn't even know I was still in a contract since I only agreed to a two yr commitment and I had years Maintenance fee?? For fixing something that I already paid for? I could see if I got their equipment for fee but come on....Also, at this point they are willing to give a discounted monthly rate - really, but not compensate when the stupid thing is malfunctioning and cannot be used for the month? I think ADT is UNBELIEVEABLE and I would NOT recommend ADT to anyone!!

We moved into a new house with old ADT system, I then got a letter from ADT saying I can reactivate the service for $When I called them, everything changed, they told me the system was outdated since it is based on a landlineAnd they tried to push me for changing a new panel ($900) with a premium monthly fee of $I then found a DSC GGSM modulus based on cellular at home??! I was a customer with ADT for over a total of years, Over that period my bills increased as the customer service decreasedyears ago I cancelled my home phone serviceI waited to hear from ADT that they lost communication with my houseOver months passed and I never received a call or contactThey had my cell number and my wife's cell number to contact us, but they kept billing me for my serviceWhen I contact them and asked why they told me "if we don't receive an alarm, we don't receive loss of communication because of your phone line"Seems to me someone could cut my phone line and break-inI switched to Safe-Systems years agoMy cost is 20% less and when I shut my system down they call with in minutesADT SUCKS WASTE OF MONEYTHEY DONT CARE

ADT and their contract - Do not sign a contract with them! If you have, go through and make sure that you are not under anything where you will have to pay if you choose to cancel I do not like when people or businesses try to underhand anyone! Let me state my story I had been an ADT customer for years prior to the situation encountered in I moved in from one rental property to another and thought I was just transferring my service from that location to the new oneLittle did I know, it renewed my contract for years (this was not verbally communicated or told to me by phone or the technician who came to my home)Unfortunately, because of a situation with the new house (something out of my control) I had to move out, and where I moved - I could not carry the alarm service with meI found out because of my cancellation (this was from a charge that they tried to run through my checking account with and final bill sent) ADT had charged me $Let me say this again - I was told whenever I moved, all they had to do is transfer service to whichever location I move to free of charge They have since then sent my information to a collection agency, in demand of paymentI promise, I will never use them again, I will see to it that no one I know ever uses them againThe power of social mediaI will cost them far more than $
