No ADT anymore!!! It is not because of security service, it is because the way ADT charge me! Their payment charging and adjustment is super ridiculous! When I stop service, they do not provide me a refund automaticallyThey need customer to ask for the money!!! if I don't pay attention to my bill, it seems they will never give me the money back! I request the refund today since I just realize there is no check mailed to me after I requested to stop service for months& they told me I will receive my refund in Decsince there is days hold& 7-business days for processing! How can a company do business like this!!! Super Super terrible!!! In addition, after I request the refund, I checked my part bill history, I am surprised that I have a invoice charge for Oct 2018, since my service was stopped in Sep I don't understand how ADT did the adjustment, since on the final invoice of Sep, they already charged me for the earlier termination fee I though it is the final invoice and they should refund me whatever shows on that minus balance Then I questioned them and they said the refund amount is correctThe ADT answer is that they didn't charge me for the Oct, If ADT didn't charge me why it shows an invoice for the whole month of Oct which I don't have any service with them and refund me based on the final balance due of this Oct invoice balance? After I insisting them to go into it, they are saying the adjust credit in Sep contains the charge for Oct, that's why they didn't charge me for Oct I am not exactly sure whether this is correct or not! since from the way they did, it do looks like they charge me for the Oct service! I don't think I will choose ADT anymoreIt is a terrible experience with the billing issue It is the first time, I saw a company stopped the service without providing the refund automatically & billing history record keeps on shows invoice for the non-service month and still insisting everything is correct! I just do hope I will get my refund on the amount ADT said now without loosing more money on that unbelievable invoices!

Two different salesman used unethical tactics to sell products and services at our residence We recently purchased a homeAt 8:30pm, at the end of a long moving day, an ADT salesman arrived at our door and told our teenaged son's girlfriend he was there to "follow up on closing." When I went to greet him, he made it sound like he was working with the mortgage company, asked for entry into the home, and then attempted to use scare tactics and "one day only" attempts to gain our business, despite the fact my husband repeatedly told him it was not a good timeWe were still carrying in boxes and trying to warm up dinner for hungry family members A few weeks later, another sales drove up in front of our home at 8:30pm, walked to the door, and told us he was in the area upgrading systemsWhen my husband told him we already had a security system being installed through another recommended company, he proceeded to question us, and then argue, even though we told him we had no interes

I bought a home recently with a Brinks security system (now ADT)I am not paying for their serviceShortly after moving in, the alarm started going offAt first, hitting cancel solved thatHowever, over a month's time, it got worse and worseThe alarm wasn't just beeping now...it was a constant piercing noise heard throughout the homeLast night, it was going off all night...I'm talking a piercingly loud alarm all over the house for extended period's of time, not just beepingI'm talking a very loud alarm going off for extended periods of timeHitting cancel just wasn't working anymoreSo, we called ADT after a long night of the alarm going off, an after attempting to troubleshootand not being able to solve the problem, I requested they send someone to fix itThe refusedThey said, since I am not a customer, they will not come out and fix the issueThey insisted I search the house for some transformerI searched and searched to no availI again requested they send someone outThey again refusedThey again said that since I was not a customer, they would not send someone outPlease do NOT give ADT your businessAny reputable company would have done the right thingI will not be held hostage by a companyI will not be blackmailed into being a customer by anyoneADT is a disgrace to customer service

The service doesn't work It rarely ever works Our car got broken in to this morning with a camera facing the car We have called numerous times The services is beyond horrible, it just doesn't work We have spent time calling and are expected to spend more time waiting for a service tech The customer service people are rude and unhelpful The automatic billing doesn't even work Customer service has told us that we can not get out of our contract This is quite possibly the worst service provider that I have ever dealt with The time, energy, money and emotion that I have spent paying for a service that doesn't work is unreasonable and unacceptable

I had originally requested an outside camera but got a complete package with camera and in home security, three years at ($per month) System installed on July 15, Less than two months later outside camera not working like it did when originally installed; had tech come over and instead of finding and fixing problem just conveyed to me that the camera is not very good, works sometimes and don't work sometimes?, dahhh??, same with a visit from the second tech, never fixed the problem The third tech, after conferring with his office says that they determined that the camera,(OC810), was the problem and needed to be replaced Delayed for couple weeks because was unable to get a hold of a cameraSo finally on October10, 2014, camera installed but after giving the camera time to adjust, on October 13, 2014, camera is performing even worst than the previous camera which it replaced!? After contacting ADT camera department about the degrading operation of my outside camera, I'm told by their specialist/tech, that I should hook up with their DVD package which is more expensive but was sure I'd get way better service with camera Well, he put me in contact with ADT administrative office because I'm of the opinion that I should not have to pay any extra since the initial equipment is not functioning as advertisedSo now, no response from person I spoke to on the 13Oct; left a voice mail for her to return my call on the 15Oct., and today the 16Oct., at 9am, still waiting for a return call??, but reading all of the horror experiences by ADT customers, I'm wondering where this is headed??

We've been a loyal customer for our residential and commercial business for years and had a brewhere adt lines were pulled/cut and we were never alerted by ADTWe were only then told that we are responsible for testing our system once a monthWhat was the point of paying the monitoring fee for over years for more than locations? Never have we been notified by email, mail phone call or otherwise to test our systemIt's pointless to have ADT!

ADT wants to enforce a year contract I never agreed to I set up activation on an old alarm system in my homeI was told about the dollar monitoring feeI never agreed to a two year contractIf that was the case I would have obtained a new systemI thought this was resolved until I received another collection callI can provide pictures my alarm system was in the homeThey never told me I was agreeing to a year contract and I never agreed to do so

Dealt with several "bait and switch" style sales pitchesScheduled an appointment for installing additions to current system at $xxThe first thing the tech said when he showed up was that our system wasn't compatible with what they'd scheduled him to installVERY frustrating that the person who sold me on those items wasn't aware of their non-compatibility with the system of a current customer Called to share this frustrationIn addition to spending a cumulative minutes on hold, the salesperson told me they would be able to install the correct pieces for free, only to go back on that after a 25-minute hold because of the rules in my county about over-the-phone salesI think they could eat the cost of sending a sales rep to complete the sale in-personWhat's that termthe cost of doing business? Call to cancel my servicerequires days' noticeI explain that I really do not want to support them with another penny and request that they comp my last month, and the sales person would not obligeReally?! Oh, and it all started with an alarm system installed by a company that is "ADT accredited" but not ADT - that wasn't very clear until a month or so after the installationIf they wanted to have better customer service, I think they could start with eliminating those "ADT but not" companiesGenerally not happy with their customer service

It's been a real roller coaster recently trying to work with ADT to install a security system in my home Living in Alaska I'm very aware of TV advertisement's which might state, they don't ship to Alaska or Hawaii or I might need to call and ask ADT on the other hand, I've never heard so much double talk about their name, who's representing who, who's offering their current programs or specials etc So they have Vans in town with ADT on them but he's a private provider of the product If ADT advertises a special these people in Alaska as providers! have the option of honoring that promotion or not They need to add any additional details concerning their offer in with the ad itself It would save us all a lot of trouble for instance; called and made an appointment for an initial consult just to be called the day before the apptto be told, Oh, if you think we offer free installation and equipment, we don"t

ADT has the most horrible customer service I called July to cancel my services was told everything was entered and good to go I called back August 3, to provide my new address to receive my final bill which I wanted and expected to pay The rep at that time stated my services where not canceled and said she would help me with that; asked for my new address and proceeded to share I had a cancelation fee I asked what that fee was? She stated I was hoping you didn't ask she shared what the fee was and I was confused as since never had any upgrades I explained that in November a ADT tech came to home, but it was due to letters ADT kept sending stating our system needed upgrading due to 3G requirements and our system was obsolete stamped with urgent After receiving the third letter decided to call and they confirmed yes my system needed updating I asked at that point if I would be paying anything and they stated no The ADT tech was literally in and out in under mins inserted something in our wall unit and said we were updated and now could use the APP they had, plus stated I can give you a camera for freeI stated I didn't want anything to change just wanted to ensure our system worked for the security of my family He said ok had me sign paper of the system being good NOW they tell me I was upgraded and when I signed it was a month contract hence I have to pay a $cancelation fee I could've easily just transferred the service but feel in principal can not do business with a company that deceived me and now all they say is you have a contract The root of issue is the only reason they set foot on my house was due to letters stating my system would not work properly and not be supported That seems to me as just a fix and not a reason to secretly sign me up for a month contract I will never do business with ADT again Since August 3rd I have been waiting for a call back from a manager and nothing I called August 5, to only speak with a Ms [redacted] and in all honesty ADT could save money just hiring parrots since all she could say is you have a contract up to five times Again, not listening to a good paying customer since She gave me the same run around a manager will call you back It is August 8, and have not heard from anyone

I am not sure about the location of this ADT Security my mailing address for billing is out of Dallas Texas we lived in Trinity Texas when our unit was installed ,we signed up for the three year contract which was required we had to move in two years contacted billing they informed us we would have to recieve a bill with the final contract fee but we had automatic withdrawels out of our credit card account we were told that day there would be no more draws from our account, they have continued to draw until I contacted the Credit card and put a stop on itI had mailed them the money they say we owedI feel like this is an ilegial practice, but no resolution with the billing department on thisI would hope the Revdex.com would step in and stop this company from doing this to other consumersWe as honest people did not try to not pay the company we were doing what we were told by there billing department the day we called and canceled the serviceThere is a dispute over $they will not refund us this amount! I was charged more per month than my contract stated I would be charged I signed a contract on March 12, to get ADT Monitoring at a price of $per month for months ADT online records only go back months According to their online records, as of November 2016, I was being charged $65.88/month for months Beginning February 2017, I was charged $65.80/month for months Beginning September 2017, I was charged $73.90/month for four months Beginning January until my cancellation of services, I was charged $for months In total, I was over charged at least $After contacting ADT, they told me that the sales rep was not authorized to give that price and therefore they had to charge the different amount

Customer service on the account has been horrendous...loss of legal paperwork FAXed to ADT allowing a party being evicted to change pass codes at the premises which put me at risk of physical harm, and disregarding emails with POA, confirmed FAX information and sale of property documents attached sent to a supervisor (Karen [redacted] trying to close the account on February 8, when the property was sold And now continued phone calls regarding charges accumulating on an account which was paid thru February 16, 2016, and closed on February 8, both via phone and email.Phone calls to ADT result in being disconnected when asking for a supervisor in over half of the attempts...and I have made over phone calls on this account because of the numerous problems with extremely long wait times and being disconnected the majority of the timeThere was even a statement that it didn't matter to them because they would just send it to collections Today I was on hold for minutes and

Excessive fees related to moving and canceling contact I have been a customer with ADT for over three yearsI had a system in my Allison Avehome back in and then transferred that system in to my new home on Thornton aveWithout thinking about the contract (I thought was a transfer, not a restart of my services) moved forward with putting the equipment in the new home as I was informed upon asking if I could just move my old equipment that it was "better" to just put new ones inNow that I have moved and was looking to cancel my contract I called only to find out I owe to finish out my year contractWhen I asked how if I started my services in that I still have such an excessive amount left they explained that my contract was restartedI feel this company has snuck it's way into locking my family up to a monthly fee that they have control of and now after moving my options are to get new equipment for the 3rd time and pay to restart another contract

SALES REPRESENTATIVES LIE ABOUT CANCELLATION FEES I PURCHASED THE ADT SECURITY FROM ONE OF THEIR SALES REPS THAT CAME TO MY HOUSEI ASKED HIM MULTIPLE TIMES, POINT BLANK, ARE THERE ANY FEE'S WHATSOEVER ASSOCIATED WITH CANCELLING MY SERVICEHE REPLIED "AS LONG AS YOU KEEP YOUR SERVICE FOR A YEAR, ADT WILL HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO RECOVER THEIR COSTS AND THERE WILL BE NO CANCELLATION FEE." I CALLED TO CANCEL AND THE RUDE SALES REP TOLD ME IT WOULD COST OVER DOLLARS TO TERMINATETHEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT I CANNOT SUSPEND MY ACCOUNT, EVEN IF I DO NOT LIVE AT THAT RESIDENCE ANYMORE AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO TRANSFER IT SOMEWHERE ELSEI WAS STAYING WITH FAMILY AND WOULD BE MOVING SHORTLY SO THERE IS NO POINT IN ME TRANSFERRING UNTIL I FIND ANOTHER PLACETHEY STILL WOULDN'T SUSPEND MY ACCOUNTWHEN I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER, I GOT THE RUN AROUNDTHEY WOULD NOT TELL ME THE REPS NAME, THEY SAID THEY WOULD HAVE HIS SUPERVISOR CONTACT MEIT HAS BEEN OVER ALMOST A MONTH AND NO ONE HAS C

I called customer service last night due to a reoccurring problem with my ADT security system The same problem was reported a few weeks ago and a tech came out The problem was temporarily corrected but not for long I spent hours yesterday speaking to an ADT tech on the phone only to find out after years, my house is wired wrong According to the alarm system, my back door was causing a low battery issue When trying to fix this problem the tech and I discovered that back door designation was not the back door at all, but my child's roomIf the alarm had gone off in the past three years notifying me of a break in at my back door, that is where I would have gone, not my daughters room This entire time, she was at risk The same person I have this system to protect After an extremely long frustrating phone call, I fixed the system myself I am not renewing my contract with this company The tech I spoke with last night was very helpful and appeared to be very concerned but couldn't correct the problem because of the poor installation When the tech came out a few weeks ago, I stressed that the entire system was not working correctly Instead of testing it for bugs, he replaced a few sensors and left I feel that the most blame should fall on the ADT installer He failed to install an alarm that worked properly and do its job which was to keep my family safe

ADT called repeatedly to tell me that they needed to upgrade their equipment in my rental home My tenant called back and scheduled "appointments" with them (in quotes because they are hour windows, not appointments) My tenant took time off work and other obligations to sit and wait The first two times, they never showed or called The third time, they showed up hours after the window ended, then counted it as a customer no show (tenant was at work by then) When I called ADT to discuss the situation, the customer service person was extremely rude and so I cancelled ADT and have switched to SimpliSafe

I moved to a new home and I was unable to cancel the service due to the year contractSo they told me I could move the service at the same monthly rate and deal that I originally got at my prior home (much larger than our new home by at least square feet) so when they sent the tech to our new residence they said it would be required to start another year contract ! And wanted to charge me per window -the total cost with Windows and activation was over $plus another contractI paid less than half of this in [redacted] for a much larger home and why would I want to start a contract a new? When I called and asked to speak to a manager they offered absolutely NOTHING They do not care about anything when you move and do not make the process easy by any meansMy mother had the exact same thing happen to herI'm so disappointed that a company this big could offer me nothing The company is great unless u ever move to a new locationBe aware of that and of the lengthy contr
