Cancelled my account back in Jan / Feb, company told me that there would be a day wait and a $charge to close account.Agreed to this and thought this was done.New bill today 4/13/ and account is still open
First year into contract I received to calls from adt collection department.Paid one year in advance and somehow the payment wasn't ever showing up on the corporate side.Months and months of harassment and in the end ADT said they were at fault for harassing me.Stuck out the contract and cancelled.ADT at this point says account is still active

I will not recoment nobody to get adt service!! They are the worst they steal money on top that they got worst and horrible customer service they scream at you and they always hang up on you, and they were charging for in account that it was not mines and it happens more than times.please don't commit the same mistake that I made and don't believe what they tell you when you first sign the contract because everything they guarantee they end up charging for everything

On October 1, I sold my business located at *** *** *** ** in Minneapolis,mn , XXXXXAt the time the new owner called ADT to have them come switch the system into his possessionADT came out, changed the codes and transferred the excisiting system to the new owner, with his own billing accountBut adt kept drafting monthly money out of my account for a system that no longer existed in my name, as well as collecting payement from the new owner for that sweet double dippingI called and had them cancel the account when I discovered the money being pulled out for no reasonThey charged for months worth of 'service? on an alarm than no longer existed, and they are refusing to return my money

Very deceptive advertising They offered a $monthly fee, a $credit for equipement, and a $Visa card When the installation guy came, he pressured me into getting more than I had asked for so that it still cost me hundreds of dollars for equipment that doubled what I already had and promised me another $Visa card That was in September It is now December 4, and I have not seen any Visa cards, and my monthly bill is When I contacted ADT, I was forwarded to Mspell Solutions and never got to talk to a personLeft a message but since the forward to Mspell is third in ADT's automated phone answering system, I suspect many more have had this problem as well

I moved from my home over a year ago and told ADT I was moving and wanted to cancel my monitoringThey keep saying they are going to cut off service, when if the were really monitoring my system and house they should know that the system is not working and the system is not hooked up.They have been calling and threatening me with a shut down of the monitoring which they should not be hooked up anywayIt has caused me great stress and I already suffer from various health problems like anxiety have known it isn't hooked up for monitoring

I live in Calgary and have had shouting matches with your customer calls -usually at 7:AM on Saturday and Sunday mornings calling about a service problem at our cottage in Manitobahrs different from the Montreal call centreFirstly they know nothing about the word cottage home -lake front home and summer home- Hove no clue where Manitoba is and where Calgary Alberta is - The problem concerning my making a call to a service representative from Manitoba meeting me at the Cottage when I travel back to our Lake HomeIf you see the call log you see that I have been transferred to the Tech support times and placed on hold for to minutes as the time I sat on hold and waiting for a technician - was too long and tied up my home line too long Your company lost our Home account Calgary Ab when we moved and no one answered my request for a quote and install to our new Home This lack of customer service issue at Cottage is too much to handle - Do you follow up on your calls to customers ??? I am not happy and will spend time seeking out another provider
Intrusion alarms - at a cottage also have low heat -high heat monitors.- Electricity monitors and fire monitorsWant to add cameras to my internet and view cottage from out home in Calgary - So your company is only part of our secure lake home - as we pay for telephone lines- internet - and electricity -Motion alarms and check with the Police every year in person to make sure we/they have identify associated to an alarmIt is more complicated than your perception of what I need Your equipment then is subject to weather fluctuations - then we will get someone who answers your 7:am Montreal calls from Montreal as out west has no concept of vastness of a malfunction of your equipmentTrying to call times in a week is not what I paid forTwo postal codes Calgary *** Manitoba ***

I've had nothing but trouble with this company and it's authorized dealer Home DefenseI was never told I was going to be under contract with anyone other than ADT and neither company knows what the other is doing or has done as they have separate policiesI regret ever calling ADTThe monitoring equipment seems to work okay but I hope I never have an actual emergency because they can't even transfer a phone call to the right department with the right information

ADT is to provide 24/security monitoring of my home This is the service advertised and paid for After y home had a large window smashed this past weekend, I couldn't understand why ADT did not call me and register acknowledgement of the alarmI looked at my app on my phone and noticed the alarm was enabled, but there was an issue with cell connection When I called ADT to confirm my home was being monitored, they said it had not been monitored since May 23rd (over weeks) yet I am paying for daily monitoringADT subsequently told me they only check cell connection once a month! WHAT!? That is not 24/monitoring! When I was discussing with an agent on the phone, she hung up I called again, they hung up again I called the corporate head office, the person on the other end just wanted to send a technician to fix it He provided no offer of resolution of the billing issue nor an

Do not choose ADT as your home security provider They offer the WORST customer serviceThe radio signal connected to my system has been malfunctioning two weeks after installationWe've made four appointments for ADT and Defender (a company that sells their product) to come out and fix the issue and nobody has shown upDo you know the ADT commercial that shows a customer (from a competitor I'm assuming) calling to report a breand is put on hold? It's actually not a competitor but ADT themselves who put people on hold! I bet if those of us who post negative reviews put together all the money ADT has stolen from us we could afford a PSA to post on television urging people not to sign up with them

ADT has two accounts they are separately billing me on I have contacted them more than six times (each time taking about an hour) and each time they tell me "we found the problem and it is resolved"Then I get a collections bill from themThis started when I updated my system within the last year in late (I have been a customer since with no problems prior to that),

Instead they call me at all hours asking why I haven't paid Omg, it is maddening

Harassing and Unethical Sales Practices
I moved into my new home July 28th In the past weeks I have had "visits" from Sales associates and Relocation specialist All of which were told we're not interested All of which telling my month pregnant wife and I that we moved into a "pretty bad area" and that there's been multiple break ins, in the last couple of days All of which are untrue *** *** *** *** is one of the safest regions in the state
I find their sales practices to be unethical and harassing
On a personal note, it's difficult enough to keep a pregnant wife happy, I don't need a company intentionally trying to make her paranoid
I wouldn't do business with ADT if they paid me for their services

My system does not work, has not worked, and no tech has been able to solve the problem yet they will not let me out of contract
When I signed a contract several months back, I was expecting that I would be recieving a product that worksSince that time, I have had batter malfunctions that could not be fixed, cell tower in-communication causing a constant beeping at 4am waking my whole family, a new panel put in, and then an alarm went off while we were un-home and ADT did not communicate with us or the policeI have finally decided that I have had enough after I was told that I would be receiving months FREE service for our troubles, and only received monthI would like to be released from this contract as ADT has failed to protect my house and my family with a product that does not workThey have cost me over $1,in missed time from work to be at home awaiting service calls in an attempt to fix the multiple problems that have not been resolved

I call to get a quot and was greeted by a very pleasant repHe helping create a perfect package to protect my family the way we neededI asked if I could talk it over with my fianceHe said yes the quot was saved for hoursAfter talking it over we called the number providedevery time I tried to give anyone the reference number he gave me they would cut me offAfter being transferred five or six times, repeating my address, phone number and email I finally reach another representative who confirmed my orderHowever he said that the agreed upon installation date and time was no possible and told me a different payment situationThen he got his manager who told me everything in my order was wrongI could not do the things I was told I could do in the first place at the cost I was quotedThen I tried to thank her and tell her that this was not the security option for meShe then started yelling and arguing with me about what I actually needtelling me that she was an expert in her field and that I don't know what I need and I just need to listen to herI did not want the product and after arguing with her for several moments I simply ended the callI have never been treated so poorly in my lifeI have worked at a call center and have never talked to another human the way she did meWe are going with a different companyMight cost a bit more but they are better suited to deal with general public

Came into my home without permission while someone was staying with me Installed the system but refused to remove it when I said I did not authorize thisAll they care about is making there moneyTerrible customer service would not recommend !!

ADT has not supplied the complete protection for my residence that was implied
For several years now I've been paying a monthly fee for the peace of mind that my residence would be protected at all timesAs the result of a service call today I learned that under a multiple power failure situation, the system battery would be depleted, not recharged, and therefore leaving completely unprotected in the event of further power lossThis could lead to a life threatening situation, if my wife and I were sleeping during a home invasion while the power was off, or possible loss of my home's contents, if we happened to be away when this situation arose

I was a customer of ADT for upwards of years, when I discovered that the system installed in my current home was essentially uselessMost importantly, it had put my entire household at risk for almost decades
Unbeknownst to me, the system that was installed in my current home in Southampton, NY years ago by ADT had only a single smoke alarm connected to the central stationThat alarm was located in an unfinished basementThe two stories above the basement, which housed all living quarters, had alarms that were connected to nothing(This was confirmed when I spoke to ADT.)
