We had great service the entire time we lived in our house; however, we received military orders to move and that is when the problems beganI called ADT to confirm what we needed to do to cancel the contract due to the orders and was told I needed to send in a signed letter stating the reason for the cancellation and a copy of my husband's orders which we are both onI signed and mailed in the letter August 15th and so their day cancellation policy should have taken affect no later than the end of SeptemberThey withdrew a payment from my bank account October 16thWhen I called to ask about this and get a refund I had to speak to different people to be told they did not cancel the account because I signed the letter requesting the cancellation and my husband is the first signee on the contract and I am the secondI was told, "We need another day letter with your husband's signature." First off, why were we never contacted to be told this? Not by phone or letterThey had our new address as it was on the cancellation request letter and they have our phone numbers in case the house alarm was ever going off and we weren't thereWe are both on the contract so this is unacceptableAfter telling them this they said, "Let me open your contact." Something that should have been done in the first place to avoid this messI was able to get the contract cancelled and a refund for the October payment after being on the phone with them for over an hourWhat good is it to have a contract if they are not going to follow it and allow the signers to cancel it when they need to?

How does a compant receive an A plus review with so many complanits against it? My experience with the security services started with the high pressure sales people who said it was getting late and they weren't allowed to leave without a sale.Then the installation by these professionals took minutes as they put stickers on my windows and some wiresworth of equipment ? No wayDid it ever work ? noWhen I said that I didn't want this service, they said that I could pay for the equipment or the contract amountThe equipment was not returnable so the contract amount (without the service provided) was I still cannot believe that I have to pay for equipment that I don't have and service that I never got and was never prpoperly installed.They came ,they left it in my house and they billed me for nothing more than stickers on my window.Please don't let these slick guys into your housethey aren't your protection services ,they are your wolves in disguise

Once ADT installed our system in 2013, we rarely interacted with them However, there have been rare occasions when we had questions Customer service has so far been good in answering questions However, when we recently called ADT to set up an appointment with them to talk about upgrading our system, the sales rep never showed up to the appointment time on October 2, We called ADT and found out the rep was not coming out even though I had to leave work two hours early to make the appointment ADT's rep on the phone said a manager would call us back That never happened either We are disappointed in ADT and we are looking into other companies for a better security system

I have been billed twice after calling & requesting cancellation of my service since Feb.y I want a refund of the two last pymts not authorized,
I have called numerous times requesting cancellation since February I had set up auto payment through the service provider and since I cannot cancel on my end, requested my service be cancelled effective March Each time I called they stated they would update my account as closed and refund the last month payment that was automatically deductedI never received a refund and as of today I have another pending charge on my accountI have spent numerous hours on the hold speaking to someone there, especially when you are calling to cancelI have continued "account closing specialists" trying to manipulate me into keeping the account openI want to be away from this service provider and want them to refund my unauthorized last two payments

Echoing what others have indicated: ADT is not helpful of appreciative to long-term customers After receiving rate increases of 33% above my initial contract monthly charges and not complaining, I called to cancel my service, only to be told that I will incur another month's charge since it takes ADT days to inactivate an account After speaking with a cancellation specialist, billing specialist, and billing supervisor, I was told that there is nothing to be done about this extraneous charge as it is part of their policy that is written into their contract Upon signiwith ADT, the installers/customer services reps didn't indicate that disconnection is not as streamlined as installation, which can occur in one business day for residential customers I will never use ADT again, nor would I recommend them to friends or family

We purchased an ADT Security system when we bought our new home in order to keep us safe while in the home and keep our home safe while we were away The sales process was difficult but we wanted the ability to have the security system monitored so it was not just a burglary alarm when at home The system was installed on 9/15/ Today is 11/5/and we just started to notice that connecting to the online app, Pulse, was taking longer than expected We figured it was just being slow and used the keyfob to turn the alarm on and off this week Today, I forgot how to work the fob and tried to use the app but the app would not load at all so I contacted Support In testing, Support determine they could not connect to our system, which also meant that our system was not connecting to the monitoring This means our system is not being monitored This is the first night I am home while my husband is on a business trip, which is why we bought the system and its not being monitored A

When we signed up for ADT security services for our home, we were guaranteed that we can disconnect services early
Approximately years ago, we were interested and thought we would sign up for ADT security services for our home in *** *** *** When the representative came over for information and to sign us up, he informed us it is a "contract" and we would have to stay for years with ADT When we backed out (because we were not sure we would stay in Hawaii longer than a year)he guaranteed us "you can disconnect early, as long as you stay for at least two years! We always let people out early from their contracts, as long as it's for about years" He makes lots of plea and promiseswe sign up

I subscribe to a service called ADT Pulse from ADT The service provides an app for Android type smartphones that allows you to control your home security system Since Google provided an update to the Android operating system to version on August 22nd, the ADT Pulse app has not functioned properly The app is forced into landscape mode, which makes it very difficult to use ADT was made aware of this in August and despite opening numerous cases with their support departments in the meantime, the issue is unresolved ADT states that they are aware of the issue and that it is being worked on, but almost months of degraded service is unacceptable I have requested credit on my bill for the decreased functionality, but these requests have been ignored

So far, we have really enjoyed the servicesExcellent technicians and reps that will work with you to find the best deal for your needsIf something goes wrong, I can call them up and they will try to troubleshoot while on the phone; if it cannot be fixed, they will send someone out

My alarm system has not worked for over months I have called number of times, and they dont fix the problemSo, I want my service cancelled
About months ago, my system stopped working I have called number of times to get the problem resolved Every time they put me in a queue for support, and after minutes (at minimum) the line drops So, I finally gave up, and stopped payment Now, every time they call from billing, I tell them until my service is fixed, I will not make a payment They still have done the same thing Even though they have not been able to fix my problem they still want full payment for period of no service They have put my family and home at risk Due to this negligence, I want my contract cancelled with no back payment or cancellation fee I should not be responsible for a service I am not being provided
