I was not provide the service that I paid for
On August 15, 2017, I contacted ADT because I returned home from work and my alarm was not onI contacted ADT to see if they could tell me if the alarm was disarmed during the dayI was told by the representative that she could not provide that information because there had been no "communication" response from my system since May 12, I asked what ADT's procedure was when that happensAt that time, the representative stated that I should have received an automated phone call stating there was an issue with my system and to call ADTThe representative also stated that it showed that I did not receive a phone call at any timeSince my system armed and disarmed the same as it has since I have had the system (for years), there was no indication that there was a problemI also did not receive any messages on my key padThe represented informed me that my home was not being monitored during this month period and if my family a

CONTACTED ADT TO CANCEL AND WAS TOLD BY REPRESENTATIVES THAT MY ACCOUNT HAD BEEN CANCELED I THEN ASKED WHY AM I BEING BILLED??
I HAVE BEEN AN ADT CUSTOMER FOR MANY YEARS AND AFTER NOT USING THE SYSTEM FOR AWHILE I DECIDED IT MADE NO SENSE TO CONTINUE TO PAY SO I CONTACTED THEM AT XXX-XXX-XXXX TO CANCELI WAS TOLD BY THE FIRST REP NAMED WESLEY THAT I HAD NO ACCOUNT WITH ADT AND THAT IT HAD BEEN CANCELED SOMETIME BACK I ASKED HIM THEN WHY AM I RECEIVING A BILL HE PUT ME ON HOLD FOR MINUTES AND CAME BACK AND SAID HE FOUND THE ACCOUNT AND THAT HE WOULD NEED TO XFER ME TO A DIFFERENT DEPT TO COMPLETE THE CANCELLATION PROCESS AFTER ANOTHER MINUTE HOLD A FEMALE REP CAME ON THE LINE AND TOLD ME A SECOND TIME THAT I DO NOT OR MUST HAVE ALREADY CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT WITH ADT I ASKED THEN WHY AM I RECEIVING A BILL AND WHERE HAS ALL MY MONEY BEEN GOING TO ALL THESE YEARS??? SHE COULDNT GIVE ME AN INTELLIGIBLE RESPONSE BUT STATES I NEED TO PAY THE ON MY BILL FOR SERVI

The BBC is as big a scam as ADT Security isnegative reviews yet they have an A+ rating because ADT pays an annual fee for a ratingThe *** that sold my alarm system to me stated over and over again how it was a YEAR CONTRACT at the end of which I would own the equipmentThey keep raising my rates and when I called to cancel I discovered that I actually have a year contractLying, thieving ***sI will cancel on Oct7th and that will be the last of my money that I'll allow ADT to steal from meCon Artists and ***!!!!!

The system monitor has been chirping for two months now and ADT can't seem to get it to stop permanently, the longest it has been quiet is hoursI get up at 4:in the morning and most nights I can't sleep because the systems chirps every to seconds They have been called numerous times and even been out to the houseIt doesn't make any senseGoing to cancel and get new service with another companyI bet if I don't pay my bill the chirping will stop

I have been a loyal ADT customer for 10+ years (years current residence and 5+ years former residence) On multiple occassions, I contacted ADT to trouble shoot a problem I was having with my system, and requested a technician come out A tech showed up outside of the arranged window Last Saturday, I contacted ADT to cancel my service with the company After speaking with ***, a customer service rep, and *** a customer service supervisor, I was told I'd have to pay $to cancel the contract because it renewed in May when I added a camera to my service after ADT sent me a free camera offer I ALREADY HAD SERVICE WITH ADT! WHY WOULD ADDING A TOOL TO EXISTING SERVICE RENEW THE CONTRACT? After 10+ years as a customer, I must pay $770? This is a SCAM, as well as poor customer service It's preposterous to think it's okay to charge this amount of money to cancel a contract I never requested be renewed, especially when I was not informed of this feeI AM INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED AND DONE WITH ADT!!!!!!!

I am a longtime, loyal customer of ADT and have enjoyed several years of stellar service-until nowI am a Senior, and feel as if the Sales Rep took advantage of my age and discriminated against me
I contacted ADT on 5/30/and spoke with a Sales Rep named MikeI explained that my patio door (which has a wireless alarm) was being replacedI inquired if I could remove the alarm myself or if a Tech was required; wasn't certain if I was permitted to touch their (ADT) equipmentMike stated that a Tech was required because the central alarm box in my house would have to be rerouted to bypass the wireless being removedHe explained there would be a charge going/coming of $TOTALI wasn't happy about the charge, disputed it, got no where and was forced to acceptThe entire conversation, Mike was arrogant and condesce

On August 19, 2017, I had my existing ADT service installed into my new homeAfter multiple conversations with customer service, I agreed to a wireless non hardwired panel and a wireless portable control panelOne for both levels of my homeWhen the technician arrived, he told me that he was not told that was the products I was revivingHe proceeded to install control panels that Had to be installed above a power outlet and not where I asked I called customer service while the technician was here and was told I had to pay extra for the second panelAdditionally, I was told that the products I promised could not be installed Then the technician installed the upstairs panel too low I now have panels because the technician would not install the ADT panels where the existing panels were He proceeded to tell me that he does handyman work and could come back to remove/repair my walls where the existing

Best advice ever is: Never start with ADT to begin with years into a year contract and my home sold Cancelled and was told things that are apparently wrong and am now hearing "we don't know why the last operator ever told you that - it's not true" Was told alarm would be disabled and new owners would have to pick up the services(which they agreed to) for the alarm to work Was told I would be charged but would get the money back when the new owners took up the service Was told I would get a letter explaining all this Was also told if the new owners did not get the service, then I would have to purchase a new year contract in my new location and purchase the equipment all over again (what??!!) Apparently the alarm works without services and the new owners aren't paying for it ((I'm still getting alarm notifications so I know the new owners are using the system and either ADT is lying to me and they have a contract or the new owners have a free alarm system) So I'm stuck with an $bill for a company that gave me the choice between bad and worse options And this is after years of me giving them $a month I've talked to at least different agents who have all told me different stories I can't believe they have an A+ rating with so many negative reviews how is this company getting away with this??!!!

An ADT representative come to my homeHe walked around and knew exactly what we were asking for.he promised a system that would be "wireless" and would have camera viewingI explained exactly where I would like the camera installedThe representative assured us that ADT would be able to provide me with such a security systemI was very detailed in my request and he repeated and confirmed his understandingWe came to an agreement and had the system partially installedThe technician, however, was unable to install the camera and explained the system is not necessarily wireless because it has to use an electrical outlet and not hot-wired like my previous systemHe also did not install the sensors properlyI called ADT on several occassions and had technicians come to my home to try and complete the install with very little successThe last technician that arrived finally said they were unable to comply and would have a supervisor come over and discuss picking up the equipment a

We just bought a new home and the home had previously had an ADT system installed so we thought it would be much easier to go with company as opposed to getting new wiring through another companyWe found online that we can get service coverage from ADT at $a month and we thought it was safer to go with an established company even if it was a bit higher monthly pmtWhen we called to set up an appointment we let them know that we already had adt wiring and what not and that we wanted the service we saw on on phone for $or so dollarsThey scheduled an appointment did'nt really ask much and so we had a tech come outThe first thing the tech said was we need to replace this old device (keypad) it was out dated and he went to work right awayafter about minutes he came and said lets take a walk through of the home and name the roomsHe said ok ill get the paperwork together and ill be backWe thought it was great as the customer service agent had previously told us that the whole thing would take 1-hours and we thought he was finishedWell come to find out, we had to pay for equipmenttotal was about $4,as he also included 1k in smoke detectorsOf course we looked at each other in disbelief as we where never mentioned of these fees we had no idea that each device was $and smoke detected (we did'nt ask for) $We told him thank you but at this time we just purchased a home and we had all our expenses figured out and we could not afford this expenseMind you he arrived at about pm Thursday, by pm we where still trying to convince this man we could not afford it We called ADT again to complain about the information and they said the guy was installing too much in the home and described it as "OVERKILL"We had to pick up my daughter from school during rush hour it takes approx mins to get to herWe had not moved into the home yet she is still in her old schoolThis guy takes no for an answer and would not leave The supervisor we spoke to at ADT asked us to him to STOP the installation and he tech just called his manager and he asked me to talk to himSo we have two calls one with the services sup adn one with the techs's managers both talking to me and my partner at the same timeIm expecting soon and I had been there since am and only had breakfast so im desperate for a solutionThe guy finally said that the equipment could stay and it would only be $for the systemWe did not understand what the charges where for and when we where mowing our lawn right before sunset the technician asked us to create profiles and to sign a contract so we didWe did not understand or really hear what he was saying as we had another guy trimming the grassMy partner was then dragged off the lawn by the guys and spoken to, not sure what he was told or anything (mind you this is my home, hes my boyfriend the account is in his name)He did not understand what the tech said and he did not even understand the instructions on how to use the systemThe guys said, im going to show you how this works but its going to go very fast okCall us if you have questions and leftWe wake up at am the next day and later realize that we had a text alert for a robbery in hour home at 3:amWe call ADT and tell us that the service will not start until pm that night and so they did not call the policeWe take the minute drive up to the home not knowing what to expect and still a bit scared to be honest as I'm pregnant and see that one one the alarms the newest and practically best equipment they have fell out and is laying on the floorAlso come to find out that we were charged $NOT $as promisedDid I mention that the Tech left after sun down and we got home at 8:that night due to all thisI want this contract terminated adn need help finding out how to go about doing itPlease assist as the tech said we had days to cancel but I do not believe anything he says as my boyfriends tells me he was already charged to his cardThis is too much stress for me

ADT is not customer friendly at all Our company used them for nearly years until we moved for business reasons We had full intention of continuing usage in our new facility but the company does not service the area we moved to Instead of conducting themselves professionally and allowing us to terminate our service, they are charging us the full amount of monthly fees for the duration of our alleged contract as well as a cancellation fee This company is unrealistic and should be ashamed of themselves People and companies move That's life They are not going to be able to coordinate their moves with when their contract expires Punishing a customer with an unrealistic bill who didn't want to stop service in the first place is no way to get them back in the future, or anyone they may talk to regarding your company ADT has a backward approach to business Unless this changes, I would never recommend them to anyone

ADT is trying to enforce a year contractI have a year lease on the premises and will not be renewing

Technician came to home in March 2016, my system doesn't work anymore There is no power to the systemContinue to receive bills

I was with ADT since November When I signed up, I signed a two year contract After the contract period was over, I decided to stay with them on a month to month basis, without a contract I decided to cancel on May 13, and paid the company for service through May 14, Since that time, I have received numerous harassing calls at all times of the day and harassing mail asking me to pay through June When I called to inquire why, I was told that I had to pay an additional days from the date of cancellation due to my "contract" I told the representative that I had not had a contract for several years but the person insisted that it was ADT's policy I asked them to provide proof that I had signed something agreeing to those terms and they could not provide that to me I politely asked them to stop calling and billing me for charges that I did not owe They are still calling and mailing My custome

I cancelled my service in may 2018.I owed 1,cancelled fee.no problem.I paid them 200.00on 6/28/18.told them I would pay per month.then on july 17ththey took out of my checking account I did not authorize them to do that.they did not contact me in anyway that they were going to take the money out.I was on auto pay for the monthly services payments but I never authorized 872.62.this caused me overdraft charges
