Pick a different company if you want good customer service I was a customer of ADT for years When I saw an ad for another "top security company in America" I decided to call ADT to see if they could get me the same touch screen panel and price that I saw advertised I was told they could get me the panel for almost $and not do anything to match the monthly fee I told the representative that I was going to shop around for a better deal and was told to have a nice day After finding a better deal with a better company I called to cancel my ADT service (not the easiest thing to do even though I wasn't under a contract) The gentlemen I spoke with asked why I was cancelling, I told him why, he asked what equipment I was getting from their competitor and I told him which his response was "you're stupid if you switch to that panel" I've been with the new company for months now and they have won my business for the next years or more ADT used to be #but they have some tough competition now

When we signed up for ADT security services for our home, we were guaranteed that we can disconnect services early
Approximately years ago, we were interested and thought we would sign up for ADT security services for our home in *** *** *** When the representative came over for information and to sign us up, he informed us it is a "contract" and we would have to stay for years with ADT When we backed out (because we were not sure we would stay in Hawaii longer than a year)he guaranteed us "you can disconnect early, as long as you stay for at least two years! We always let people out early from their contracts, as long as it's for about years" He makes lots of plea and promiseswe sign up

Again, I have contacted ADT for months on numerous occasions to speak to a manager to resolve my issue & and I have yet to speak to a mgrto resolve my issue ADT has sent my acct to collections without resolve and many requests to speak to a manager The reps for ADT are rude and unprofessional I need my issue resolved ASAPI have been a customer of ADT for many years with a lot of money spent on surveillance cameras and my security system as a whole and I will never go back or recommend these crooks

On December 29,I made an online payment in the amount of $ However ADT deducted $from my checking account I spoke with Brenda on 1/3/to inquire about the double deduction from my checking account; she stated that there was no payment received for NovemberI informed her that the November payment was received on 11/28/After checking her records she discovered that ADT did receive the payment and stated that she would request a refund in the amount of $and that it would take a couple of days to have the funds returned to my account I made a second call and spoke with Katoria to confirm that the refund request had been requestedAfter seven days the funds had not been returned to my account I called ADT and spoke to Shawn and she stated that the request for the funds had been denied and the funds has been applied for January payment My January payment is not due until January 20, I did not agree to have ADT deduct funds form my account

I subscribe to a service called ADT Pulse from ADT The service provides an app for Android type smartphones that allows you to control your home security system Since Google provided an update to the Android operating system to version on August 22nd, the ADT Pulse app has not functioned properly The app is forced into landscape mode, which makes it very difficult to use ADT was made aware of this in August and despite opening numerous cases with their support departments in the meantime, the issue is unresolved ADT states that they are aware of the issue and that it is being worked on, but almost months of degraded service is unacceptable I have requested credit on my bill for the decreased functionality, but these requests have been ignored

More than a year and a half ago, my family contracted with ADT to install a security system in our home Our system failed to operate and after numerous service visits we finally learned that given the large square footage of our home, the wrong type of system was installed Upon inspecting and reviewing our system, the escalated tech team admitted that this had been a country wide problem We asked to terminate our contract but ADT insisted on replacing the system at ADT'/ expense ADT began installation on the new system but because an area of our home was now under construction, the system could not be finished ADT said it would return to finish the installation but now only says it will do so if we pay to finish the installation ADT then agreed to let us terminate without penalty and to refund the credit for monitoring that had be

On 8/20/I first got a bill for a charge for a service call The service call was 4/21/I called and spoke to "Kim" on 8/28/14, who had me fax the proof of payment from my bank to her

They would send notices that they were going to take the money directly from my account, I would call and say the did not have that permission

Because I moved Due to a misunderstanding with ADT then, they thought I cancelled, and I paid a termination fee Benjamin said in July if I was to get a new alarm at my condominium, he would "make it happen" that I would be reimbursed the $+ change I paid for the termination Fair enoughIdeally, I wanted a pendant type of medical alert system since I now live in this condo, because excessive noise (from the alarm, should it go off) would not be tolerated I could not get the pendant back then So they did install a new alarm and I have no complaint about that However, I was not able to use it in case it went off This alarm was a wireless alarm, in order to comply with the HOA

Once ADT installed our system in 2013, we rarely interacted with them However, there have been rare occasions when we had questions Customer service has so far been good in answering questions However, when we recently called ADT to set up an appointment with them to talk about upgrading our system, the sales rep never showed up to the appointment time on October 2, We called ADT and found out the rep was not coming out even though I had to leave work two hours early to make the appointment ADT's rep on the phone said a manager would call us back That never happened either We are disappointed in ADT and we are looking into other companies for a better security system
