Due to no cancellation the autoship program took effect. The following month on 10/01/2017 the customer was charged $94.91 for a new shipment of skin cream.

My card was charged under a different company name. SO I disputed the charge and now I cannot get money back.
I impulsively signed up for a free trial of a skin care product. When it was delivered, there was no billing paper, or anything with the product. I did not know account number or anything else. I had received charge for $89.95 from a company that was not the same name on my credit card and I disputed it because I did not recognize it. The charge was reapplied and the account was cancelled. However when I called customer service after searching online for hours trying to find a number, since a simple google search just led to facebook posts about scams, and nothing with the name in it or website. When I finally found the number on a scam beware blog site, they said they could not reverse the charge because I had already disputed it with the credit card company.
While I understand I did not read the fine print, the customer service and lack of information given with product by the company is unacceptable. Had I known that their company was the charge, I would have contacted immediately, however there was a different name and no contact number on my credit card statement. It appears that they do everything they can to make it difficult for people to cancel.

Desired Outcome

They had told me that there is no way to get the money back since I had already dipsuted the charge. If i had the correct number and company name on my statement, I would have called immediately. Then, I would have gotten my money back.

Before customers commit to our 14 day free trial, our customers have to affirm and acknowledge the terms & conditions for our autoship program by marking the T&C check-boxes.

According to our records, the customer ordered our face cream and eye serum on a 14 day trial basis back on 08/22/2017 and paid the shipping and handling fees of $4.99 and $4.97. The trial expired on 09/05/2017 and due to the fact that our customer did not contact us to cancel their trial they were subsequently charged for the original shipments on 09/05/2017: $89.95 for the eye serum and $89.92 for the face cream.

The customer's subscription was cancelled on 09/28/2017 due to the customer filing a dispute through their financial institution. The customer contacted our Customer Service on 10/12/2017 and requested refunds which we could not provide due the account being flagged as a chargeback on 09/28/2017. The customer's financial institution has ruled the dispute in our favor and we are unable to provide the customer with a refund. We appreciate your understanding

Ordered trial size and later charged me for full product. The 14 day cancellation must have been in some small print I did not see.
They refused to refund me the $90 dollar charge for a 1oz. sample of face cream, that does not even work. They hide the statement that says you must call and cancel the product in 14 days. It is purposely not clear as I would have never ordered
a product that must be cancelled. They used
Matthew McMacaunahey (sorry misspelled) name to promote the product as a charity for Skin cancer,
which I have.

Desired Outcome

Their advertisement should be removed form the internet. I would also like a full return but was told that was not going to happen.

this company made it sound like I would get this product for free if I paid shipping cost.
on September 28th I ordered the cream which is really all I wanted but it made you also order the eye serum but it said all I would have to pay was another shipping charge for that item also so I went a head and ordered both which was a total of $9.96 for shipping only. today (10-12-17) I received a notice from my bank that my account was overdrawn due to this company charging me FULL price for the two items. I called and asking for my money back and was pretty much told that they would not do that and kept offering discounts. This product did not work for me so I told them no I want my money back. she kept trying to offer me stuff and I kept saying no and I asked to speak with a supervisor and she told me that there was not one there. I told her that I would call my bank and dispute the charges and she told me that I would be unsuccessful in doing that and then said that she could give a 35% refund on each of the items which doesn't come anywhere close to what I paid total! while holding to get my conformation on the refund she told me that she was waiting on approval from her supervisor. I said that's funny you just told me that there was not one there and she replied with that its being approved over the internet her supervisor was not there because she was in a wreck. I truly hope this customer service rep was being truthful because I feel she was not. this company should let the customers KNOW UP FRONT that they have 14 days to call and cancel or they will be charged. any other company that offers free trails lets you know that you will be charged after so many days if that is what they choose to do when you sign up for the trial. if I would have know that information I would have called since the product has NOT WORKED for me at all. I would really like to have all my money back and not just that small refund amount. she told me that since they gave me that refund that I was not allowed to make complaints and if I did they would not give me the refund but I feel this should not happen to anyone else and wanted to make any future customers aware. people like me that cant afford to get the expensive products that see a free trail offer and read all these good reviews yes who would not want to try it but because of this situation I will never again fall for anything that offers a free trail unless they are up front about charging your account after so many days. this is the first time I have done a free trail that has NOT been UP FRONT about that information.

Desired Outcome

i would like to recieve all of my money back from this purchase and i also feel that this company needs to be up front when placing the order about the 14 day trail and the charges that will be made to your account if you do not call and cancel.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I do appreciate that I finally got my money back but very disappointed that it had to go this far for the company to do so. Also I did not contact the company on 10-13-17 it was on 10-12-17 the DAY they charged my card for the product. I strongly feel that this company needs to be investigated for falsely promoting their product with names of famous people and/or TV shows supposedly associated with the company. They also need to notify the customer UP FRONT about having to cancel your account before 14 days and that it is NOT a 30 day trial. Any other company that I have dealt with that offers a trail lets you know up front, when placing the order, that you will be charged so much after so many days if you do not cancel, something this company really needs to start doing. Thank you

I signed up for a free trial of this eye and skin cream. I tried it and had an ALLERGIC REACTION to the cream. Unbeknownst to me, I was then charged $95 for a bottle of each. My husband saw the charges and alerted me. I called, cancelled any future charges but when I tried to get a refund for the charges I was told no. 'Erica' told me she was at a call center, refused to give me a supervisor, refused to give me any company information, then offered to send me a free bottle. I asked why the bottles they were charging me for couldn't be the free bottles. The truly nonsensical thing was she said I needed to continue using the product for 60 days, to see if I still had a reaction, but the 'free' trial is supposedly 14 days, so not free at all. At this time, I have not received anything other than the original trial bottles. I was told the company does not accept returns for refund, so if I send bottles back when they arrive, I will still be charged.
Product_Or_Service: revitalizing moisturizer and eye cream

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like the Revdex.com to look into this company, take whatever action possible to stop them from doing this to other people, demand honest advertising and I would like my money back. I have also filed a complaint with the MA Attorney General's office.

I found the company through a website that helps you find trial and sample products to try, review and buy if you like them. I have done this before and it usually works well, and I have found many products I like very much this way.
The company website, http://amabellaallure.pagedemo.co/
says you will be given free trial product for just the cost of shipping. The word, "subscription," is never used anywhere in the advertising. When I dug deeper into their site, there is literally no button or place to go to view their policies and legal stuff. So, you must click on that through the purchase, and not see the fine print unless you are super diligent. I see that I am not alone in having paid just under $5 for shipping, and then get sent product and get a charge for the product just under $90! So, they say it is free, and then you pay for it anyway. Then, the continue to charge you monthly unless you try to stop them within 14 days, and then the bargaining begins. I believe it is their business model to send out the first bottle and then charge you as many months as possible until you see what they are doing. Then, when you try to shut it down, they will not do returns on that first "free" bottle no matter what. I explained that I had not opened it, and wanted to send it back, and they said no. I asked if they could take it back for a restocking fee, and they refused to do that too.
I am sad that I "fell" for it, and lost all that money and had to sit there with my husband telling him I made this embarrassing and expensive mistake. I have my own business, and I know being in charge of selling goods of services in the U.S., is not supposed to be a "trick" to get people to have to accept a charge you put on their credit card without their knowledge. I got an email about the free product shipping. But, I never got an email saying I had ever been charged for anything else. My husband goes over all our credit card charges and we sort through all the categories of expenses from our purchases and go over that together monthly. So, I assure you I am a responsible customer.
It is so scary that there are people out there writing up this company in reviews in the same situation, who have been paying $100 per month on this lotion. I see people who have accidentally spent their grocery budget. It is not a legal business practice to trick us. I also see that the company has been haggling with other customers who pressed harder than I did. So, they offer $25 off, then there is discussion, and they go $50 off, etc..
Thank you in advance for your time.

Desired Outcome

I never opened the product. I would like to send it back for a full refund. $89.92 (plus $4.99 shipping and handling). I think I successfully cancelled my forced subscription, but I won't know until a month goes by without a charge. If it isn't cancelled, I would need help shutting that down. I would like to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. I would like them to be made to say what they are doing on their main website pages, and not just in their terms. It appears to everyone who has done this, that they are getting a free trial.

I have received the credit card charge back from the company, and see that I should expect a second amount returned to me via check. I appreciate the work you did on my behalf. It was settled quickly and professionally. If I do not receive the check, I will open the case back up. Thank you so much for your help in this matter. I am satisfied with the result I received. I would like future customers to be able to see this information if they check on the company before making a purchase, as their business practices are buried in their term agreement, and not on their promotional pages and information. Thanks again.

Charged for an item that was to be free.
9/7/17 paid for the shipping on a free jar of moisturizer. 9/21/17 was charged for the jar that
was to be free. Called to tell the company that I
was charged and want the charge to be removed. Was
told I did not close the account in 14 days. There was nothing in the ad that said that. It just said all you pay for was the $4.99 for ship-
ping. Was told they would send me two more free jars and close the account, but still needed to pay the $89.92.Why would I want two more free ones , when they were charging already for one
that was suppose to bee free.

Desired Outcome

Close the account they opened and credit the $89.92

BUYER BEWARE! This company is a total scam. We ordered 2 facial cream products that were advertised as a 30-day supply for only a $4.95 shipping and handling fee for each product. Nowhere on their website do they say anything about charging nearly $90 per item if you don't cancel your trial within 14-days. This is deceptive advertising at it's worst. May not be illegal but it certainly is deceptive in that they don't have anything in their purchase process where you accept their terms and conditions - only a small TERMS link at the bottom of website. Fortunately we did read the terms and called to cancel the trial during the 14-day period. However we never received any confirmation of the cancellation and then we are hit with nearly $180 in charges to our credit card. When we called to confront them (we spoke to 2 different representatives) we were basically told tough - we don't have record of your cancelation and our website and terms state very clearly that you must cancel within 14 days of using a product they claim takes 30 days of use to start showing any benefit. We've canceled our credit card out of fear that their unscrupulous business practice could put our finances at risk of future unauthorized charges.

This business needs to be shut down. This is a fraudulent and false advertising problem. When I called to complain, the Amabella call center would not tell me the name of the actual company that makes Amabella Allure. They would not tell me where this company was located. This started when my credit card company called me with a fraudulent charge. I had never heard of the company that my credit card mentioned. My credit card company said they had a lot of problems with fraudulent advertising with skin care samples from this company. I had to cancel my credit card. The "call center" lady with Amabella tried to blame this on me by saying I checked a terms and condition box, which I did not. I asked to speak to a supervisor and at first she said they were busy, then later she said supervisors were not located there??? It was not until I was in the process of filing this complaint, while on the phone with Sonya, that she offered to give me a "full refund." Sonya kept putting me on hold and then coming back on the line to offer me a percentage of a refund for the so-called total of $99.00. This was $99.99 that I did not authorize. I kept offering to mail the product back, which smelled bad and was sticky, for her company to drop this fraudulent charge. At first she offered 35% of the money back, then 50%, and then finally 100%. These products are advertised as a free sample, on a popular talk show, and you only pay for the shipping. Do not fall for this. Please read all the complaints.

Ordered then cancelled product immediately after ordering when read complaints about company scamming.
Ordered trial offer July 2017 for $4.95. Read scam complaints called credit card company to remove the order on same day. Could not find web site or phone to call and cancel order. Kept receiving product first on 7/12, 8/26 and 9/26. On 10/9/17 saw charges on credit card and called card to cancel. They showed me how to find Ama Bella phone # on credit card statement. Called on 10/9/17 said I would ship product back they would not take it. Told them the invoices they sent with product showed no charge on them, no website, no phone to contact and cancel. They only agreed to refund $33.21 of the $94.91 that I was charged. They also cancelled my account as I requested.

Desired Outcome

I would like the remainder of my refund sent to me or as a credit on my credit card. The total charge was $94.91.They are giving me a courtesy credit for $33.21. I would also like the remaining $61.00 credit.

They would not allow me to return unopened items, that I was not expecting, for a refund. I am asking for a refund of unwanted items!
In the summer of 2017, I ordered a trial kit of their skin care. It was not advertised as an offer of getting additional automatic shipments. I looked closely and did not see this condition. Otherwise, I would not have ordered it! On October 7, 2017, I called to inquire about additional charges on my credit card and was told this information was in the terms and conditions and that I must not have read it. This trial which was not well advertised as many have stated on this site. Therefore, I asked if I could return the unopened items that I had and would be receiving. I was simply told a , "Nope"!! The customer service rep did not offer me any suggestions on how to help the situation. I told her that I did not want any more shipments and to cancel whatever "membership" I had immediately . I was charged $94.92 for an eye serum on Sept.27th, and $ $94.91on both Sept 1st and Oct.1st for moisturizer again that I did not ask for. I would like a refund of the items based on false advertising and an unwillingness to work with your customer. I wish that I would've investigated this company further as there is nothing positive to be found!

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of the unopened items I had that I did not "agree" to and was not able to return! This total would be $284.74. I believe that they also need to change their advertising so that other potential buyers are not deceived!

According to our records, the customer ordered our face cream and eye serum on a 14 day trial basis back on 07/12/2017 and paid the shipping and handling fees of $4.99 and $4.97. The trial expired on 07/26/2017 and due to the fact that our customer did not contact us to cancel their trial they were subsequently charged for the original shipments on 07/26/2017: $89.95 for the eye serum and $89.92 for the face cream. Due to no cancellation the autoship program took effect. The following month on 08/27/2017 the customer was charged for new shipments: $94.92 for the eye serum and $94.91 for the face cream. The last order was charged to the customer on 09/27/2017 and they were shipped product accordingly: $94.92 for the eye serum and $94.91 for the face cream.

The customer contacted our Customer Service on 10/07/2017 and requested for the subscription to be cancelled, which we did. Later on 10/14/2017 we processed partial refunds: $19.00 for the face cream charged on 09/27/2017 and $19.00 for the face cream charged on 08/27/2017. However we feel for our customer's concerns and do apologize for the inconvenience, thus we will be providing a full refund for the charge on 09/27/2017: $94.92 for the eye serum and the remaining refund for the face cream in the amount of $75.91 for any misunderstanding when placing the order. We will also provide another full refund for the eye serum charged on 08/27/2017 and the remaining refund for the face cream: $94.92 and $75.91. Here are the refund confirmations:

Customer Response

Thank you. I hope that you make your terms and conditions more evident to future consumers. It would also be beneficial for you to have employees that are polite and helpful when consumers call your company.

False advertising and charging within 2 week trial period.
The offer was found on a Snapchat Ad. The product was advertised at $4.99 and then when the payment screen pulled up it shows another fee of $1.99 that would ensure delivery (not stated in the initial ad.) No where in the offer or during the checkout process was there notice of a $89.92 fee that would be processed if the trial period was not cancelled by telephone or e-mail within two weeks. This information was buried in the Terms and Conditions. Consumers are tricked in this way because so many other businesses are fully transparent about initial prices and the costs that will follow a trial period before a transaction is completed.
In addition to the false advertisement, I was able to locate the charge the day it appeared on my account. I called and they said at the end of the two week period I was liable for the $89.92 charge. The transaction date was 8/20/17 and the fee was charge to my account exactly 14 days later on 09/03/2017. They claimed to include the day that the purchase was made as a full business day. This does not make sense to me because 1 business day usually means the following day and 1 day equals 24 hours. When I tried to explain this to customer service they said that there calendar works different from a cell phone provider. I did not know what this meant but they refused to refund me for charging me on the 14th trial period day.

In addition I received my product 4 days after ordering it and only had 10 days of trial period with the product. I believe the trial period should begin from the date the product is delivered so you can guarantee each customer has the same trial period with the product and have time to notice results. Which brings me to my next point. I did not see any results, naturally, as any poorly ran business product would not conduct any miracles. After telling one of the customer service representatives this he explained that sometimes it takes a little longer to notice results and he offered me my next shipment at the employee rate of 50% off. First of all, if it sometimes takes longer to notice results, shouldn't the trial period be extended? Also, how do you just go around giving "employee discounts" to your customer. They should be offered customer discounts or refunds.
After trying to make my case peacefully with 3 customer service reps, one decided to ignore me and hang up on me and another laughed at me and told me she wasn't going to help me. I have never experienced such brutally poor customer service before. I truly hope this business gets shut down for the sake of consumers and I would appreciate my money back.

Desired Outcome

I would like to get refunded in the amount of $89.92 for cancelling within the 14 day trial period, for the false advertisement, and for having to deal with such poor customer service.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I am pleased with the response of the company to my complaint. After the way I was treated on the phone I was not hopeful that reaching out via Revdex.com would give me a better result, but it did. I would like to thank Revdex.com for the assistance and the company for addressing my concern and caring about the satisfaction of their customers. A refund means I did not waste almost $100 on a product that, after continued use, rendered no results. I really appreciate that.
I would like to recommend though that this level of customer service is taught to the customer service representatives that deal with customers on the phone. Also, being transparent about the post-trial period fee in the ads would help. Also, reducing the price of the product. I would pay $50 for a really good cream, but $90 is really high. These actions would greatly reduce that number of poor reviews and unsatisfied customers that complain all over the internet.

I ordered a "free" 30 day trial. The ad says I can cancel at any time. Not true. You have to wait 14 days to cancel or you need to send back the unused product. I NEVER checked ANY box or was given an opportunity to read terms and conditions until AFTER I had paid for shipping? The woman on the phone says that goes directly to the USPS. I KNOW that is a LIE. I called immediately since after I had paid. Then and only then, there was an almost unnoticeable bit of text disclosing the monthly billing after the trial. Maybe five minutes and five minutes on hold had elapsed. They had not shipped anything and she finally said she cancelled my order, but could not give back the shipping since it went directly to USPS. How is this not mail fraud if they are collecting money for shipping that never happens?
