Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:No one has contacted me from Airbnb pertaining to this matter
Also this matter has escalated considerably I asked Airbnb (Miguel) to reach out to a guest (***'s reservation request was received just prior to *** mandating that I change my "no cleaning fee" to "cleaning fee) And *** refused as he had consulted with some colleagues and they felt that it might be considered racial profiling even though Airbnb has reached out to many guests for me in the past
***'s group proceeded to do over $in damage to my property when all the claims are submitted that amount will be closer to $10, As hosts the best we can hope for is our house is put back the way we found it We are not compensated for all the time and energy it takes
We spent hours cleaning up garbage inside and out to the cleaners and painters could do what they had to do We had to buy the parts and repair a toilet that had the seat ripped off it We had to remove barricades ***'s group had erected so their guests could only enter by the front door
We had to call the Sheriffs department in twice once after the party and a second time after we discovered a bullet hole on the front door We had to go to the sheriff's office to get police reports filed because of complaints filed by our neighbors
Had Airbnb reached out to *** as I request:
This event probably never would have happened because the extra $cleaning fee would have put the event beyond ***'s price point And all I wouldn't be penalized for canceling
Or I would have been paid a cleaning fee of $which roughly works out to $an hour But it's better than nothing
Aorbnb goes out of its way to protect its guests from racial profiling, protect cleaning people with their "fair trade" policies but does nothing to help guests with the time and energy and extra expenses that are not covered by the adjuster
in fact it's been days since ***'s party and I have not even received any of ***'s damage deposit back
I spent sleepless nights getting the property back to a condition where I could honor my VRBO reservation on Wednesday It was amazing we accomplished that but Stanley steamers cam immediately on the Monday as well as my cleaning staff and the painters painted Tuesday and Wednesday We put the furniture they had taken out and hung back up the pictures they had removed (some 24) just before our guests arrived It wasn't the greatest check in our dining room table & chairs had been left out in the rain and one of the chairs was cracked and I grabbed old linen from our camper but that has been replaced They only spent one night with the drapes from the master bedroom at the cleaners (they smelled so bad from cannabis) and the living room drapes will be ready to pick up May 4th This Friday
