On August 6th a customer experience agent reached out to the complainant and explained the reservation alteration process
Regrettably, at this time no refund can be offered and the price agreed for the altered reservation must be honoured

The alteration process is as outlined on their website, customers make their decisions based on the information provided up frontIt is not acceptable to increase a monthly rental by $without prior notice and then backdate that amount for time already passed
The alteration process as described on the website is to give days notice provided the total booking is still over daysI met these requirementsThere is certainly nothing about entering into a new agreement at an inflated price
I will not be paying the outstanding balance and I certainly will not use AirBNB againThis company is unscrupulous

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
This is response is a serious misrepresentation of facts and disturbing. The company is carrying out fraud, and it is serious. FACT: They are bullying me and discrimination against me. They unilaterally cancelled the reservation many weeks ago, not I, and then they kept my money. This is fact. It could not be any clearer. When one cancels something and then refuses to refund the money, this is stealing. They refuse to cooperate. I have no idea what they are referring to as per a charge back. I rightfully contacted my bank once Airbnb canceled my reservation and did not refund me. This was my right. Again, this is fraud. Where is my $since service was not provided, yet the money was kept? This person won't acknowledge this fact. This is criminal.Sincerely,*** ***
