January 17, 2018RE: [redacted] To the Revdex.com, Thank you for contacting usMr [redacted] signed an agreement with Alder on November 10th, Mr [redacted] was given valuable equipment based on the condition that he would honor the terms of the contractWe cannot release him just two months after the contract was signed and with the account already being past dueWe have tried to contact him to see what his concerns are, as they are not listed in his complaint, but have been unsuccessfulAt his convenience, please have Mr [redacted] contact me directly at 385-218-2747.Sincerely, Brandt N [redacted] | Alder Compliance Manager

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , although I am pleased that the business (Alder) states that a past due amount was waived, to be clear, there was never a past due amount owed to them because all payments were automatically paid via electronic withdrawals from my checking account; proof of this fact was indicated/given to them! I find that Alder seems to be implying that they have forgiven (i.ewaived) a debt that I never owed them? Nevertheless, I would like for the Revdex.com to include my final comments as stated in this response/reply as a matter of recordAnd, although this matter is considered closed, I do not find, nor agree, that it was resolved satisfactory to me and/or my wife I would like to thank the Revdex.com for your timely assistance regarding this matter upon filing my initial complaint against Alder Sincerely, [redacted] ***

December 22, 2017RE: [redacted] *** To the Revdex.com, Thank you for contacting usWe offered to send a technician on December 21st but Ms [redacted] said that wouldn’t work with her schedule and she wanted to cancelWe would like to get a technician out to fix the problemPlease have Ms [redacted] tell us a good time that will work for her and we will do our best to accommodate herI have given her an additional free month as a gesture of goodwill.Sincerely, Brandt N [redacted] | Alder Compliance Manager

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Once again Alder / MrN [redacted] have "twisted" their words to suit them, but clearly didn't read ALL of the paragraphs of our former contract NOR the email that was sent.? First, the agreement was canceled by Alder after illegally releasing security codes and other "mishaps" on Alder's part (see previous messages of this complaint)It was not "prematurely" cancelled by us, but by Alder after their lack of interest in people's securitySomali stated in a return phone call from her on July that "WE HAVE DECIDED TO RELEASE YOU FROM THE CONTRACT".? Second, the email sent from MrN [redacted] on July clearly stated that? am "no longer responsible for the TERMS OF THE CONTRACT", not only monthly payments as stated in MrN***'s previous message.? 3rd, The default paragraph states the following ahead of MrN***'s previous REMEDIES reading from the former contract:IF ANY ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING EVENTS SHALL OCCUR (EACH A "DEFAULT"), THEN TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPANY SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO EXERCISE ANY ONE OR MORE OF THE REMEDIES SET FORTH BELOW: EVENTS: (i) FAILURE TO PAY ANY MONTHLY MONITORING FEE WHEN DUE; (ii) CLIENT AND/OR ITS GUARANTOR BECOMES INSOLVENT OR FILES FOR BANKRUPTCY PROTECTION (VOLUNTARY OR INVOLUNTARY); (iii) A RECEIVER, TRUSTEE, CONSERVATOR OR LIQUIDATOR IS APPOINTED ON BEHALF OF CLIENT OR GUARANTOR UNDER ANY FEDERAL OR STATE LAW; (iv) CLIENT'S BREACH OF ANY OTHER SECTION OF THIS AGREEMENT AND FAILS TO REMEDY SAID BREACH WITHIN (TEN) DAYS AFTER BREACH; (v) CLIENT CHANGES TO A TELEPHONE/COMMUNICATIONS SERVICE NOT SUITABLE FOR ALARM SIGNAL TRANSMISSION; OR (vi) CLIENT ENTERS INTO A NEW AGREEMENT WITH ANOTHER ALARM COMPANY FOR CERTAIN SERVICES AT THE CONTRACTED PREMISE BEFORE THIS AGREEMENT'S EXPIRATION DATEREMEDIES:.........Only after that the contact reads the remedies previously? described previously by MrN***.? NONE of the above so called "defaults" have occurred and do not apply to this situationAnother attempt to grasp at straws days after the last contact between Alder and myself.? Also, the alarm system was not a "selling point" of my former property and previous emails between seller (myself) and client (new homeowner)/realtor clearly show thatHOWEVER, Alder was clearly informed far in advance of the upcoming sale of the home and did not ever mention anything about equipment return until after the sale was completed and all sorts of issues were created created by Alder's lack of responsibility, response and customer service ahead of time.? None of it matters, because the email from MrN [redacted] to me from July 13th, NO LONGER HOLDS ME RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TERMS OF THE CONTRACT, no matter what paragraph MrN [redacted] wants to partially mentionThe new homeowner is not responsible for returning equipment or letting Alder access his property and according to the previously mentioned email, neither are weWe will take further steps if necessary and report this customer treatment up the chain of command to resolve this issue once and for allThis is a perfect example of why there are so many complaints about Alder and this treatment of soldiers and veterans is outrageous!? Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Alder never sent me any final billI put a stop payment to alder and they changed their tax/business number to pull from my account still without my permission Sincerely, [redacted] ***

To the Revdex.com,? Thank you for contacting us? The last time we spoke with Mrs [redacted] was in January of and our technical support was able to help get the system up and working and then in May of 2018is when Mrs [redacted] called back about her system, our customer service agent transferred Mrs [redacted] to technical support but no sign of her speaking with them, a couple days later Mrs [redacted] calls in letting us know that she has switched over to another company and is requesting to cancel her accountMrs [redacted] is in a contract with Alder and in order for her to cancel she will need to pay 90% of the remaining of her agreementHowever, we are more than happy to send a technician to her home free of charge this one time to get the system reinstalled and do a full system check.Sincerely,

May 11, RE: [redacted] To the Revdex.com, We are happy to install the alarm system in Ms [redacted] ’s new residence although typically, to avoid additional costs, customer’s need to bring their equipment with them when movingHowever, in order to meet Ms [redacted] ’s needs we are willing to waive the cost of the equipmentI have instructed a member of our customer service team to contact her to schedule an appointment Ms [redacted] also mentioned she was not informed she was entering a year agreementI have attached the related portion of a phone call between Ms [redacted] and our corporate office that took place prior to the installation of the alarmDuring the conversation she acknowledges her agreement has a term of monthsSincerely, Brandt N [redacted] | Alder Compliance Manager

? Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I asked that the system be repaired and when the "solution" was unbearable, I asked that? the equipment? be removed.? Neither has been accomplished.? After paying what I thought was last bill I found the company was still withdrawing money from my checking account for 3-months.? I don't have the money to pay for time remaining on contract I tried to cancel; I'm now and have been for the past months, trying to pay for nursing home care for my wife.? I'm years old and can no longer afford to worry about my credit rating--I have to take care of my first priority--my wife.? I'd just like the harassment to stop! Sincerely, [redacted]
