Dear Ms. [redacted], MoneyKey – VA, Inc. has received your complaint dated 29 February 2016 through the Revdex.com (Revdex.com), and has conducted an internal investigation regarding both your complaint and your account. We take all complaints seriously and wanted to take the opportunity to...

discuss your complaint with you. After our internal investigation, we determined that you obtained a line of credit on May 4th, 2015.  On June 2nd, 2015, you advised us that our records did not correctly reflect the dates on which you receive your income. In order to correct the issue, we asked you for validation of the dates on which you receive your income, either by way of a bank verification or by providing us with a copy of your bank statement, which you failed to do. We made multiple attempts to resolve your query, all of which were unsuccessful as you indicated that you were unwilling to repay this line of credit.  Your line of credit account subsequently defaulted on July 1st, 2015.  The account, on which MoneyKey – VA, Inc. waived all outstanding fees and interest, and which consequently comprised only your outstanding principal balance, was then assigned to a third party collections agency. We contacted the third-party collections agency currently handling your account and established that the agency, rather than MoneyKey –VA, Inc., made the telephone call referred to in your complaint. We also understand that you have agreed to a payment arrangement with this agency. Should you need any further assistance with the resolution of this matter, kindly contact our office directly at [redacted] Best regards, [redacted]

Please note that MoneyKey – TX, Inc. is a registered Credit Services Organization and a Credit Access Business operating pursuant to Chapter 393 of the Texas Finance Code. account with MoneyKey. Our findings are provided below.
USEFUL INFORMATION
For your convenience, we have provided the following:
•                     A link to our State of Maryland Installment Loan license (which permits a Line of Credit product); (https://moneykey.com/licenses/Maryland-state-license.pdf)
•               A link to the State of Maryland page on our website which clearly outlines the rates, terms and conditions for our Line of Credit product; (https://moneykey.com/online-line-of-credit-maryland.php)
A copy of your electronically signed Line of Credit agreement will be sent to the e-mail address you have provided.
INVESTIGATION INTO YOUR ACCOUNT
A review of your account with MoneyKey confirmed that you obtained a Line of Credit and took a draw of $600 on November 5, 2015.
As part of our investigation, we reviewed the call that was made at the time that your Line of Credit was originated and confirm that the terms and conditions of the Line of Credit were clearly explained to you and that you agreed to these terms and conditions.  These terms and conditions included that –
·         the minimum payment consists of interest, fees and a 2% contribution to the principal balance
·         additional contributions may be made toward the principal balance at any time by contacting our offices directly.
This information is also reflected in your Line of Credit agreement and on the first page of each of your Periodic Statements, which are issued to you prior to every payment due date.
CALCULATING THE BALANCE
On your Periodic Statements, the calculation of the outstanding balance includes interest and fees accrued during the previous billing cycle, up to the Statement Date.
This means that, in your particular case, the balance of $569.76 reflected on your Periodic Statement of  April 6, 2016, included interest and fees accrued up to April 6, 2016.
In order to close your account, you would be required to pay your account in full to a zero-dollar balance. In your case, if you were to close your account on any day AFTER April 6, 2016, you would have to pay the outstanding balance as reflected on your Periodic Statement of that date, being April 6, 2016, PLUS any interest and fees accrued between April 6, 2016 and the date on which you would pay your account in full.
RESOLUTION
MoneyKey is committed to treating consumers fairly and with respect. As you are not fully satisfied with your Line of Credit product, MoneyKey is prepared, as a one-time courtesy, to –
1.       freeze your balance as at April 6, 2016, in the amount of $569.76;
2.       credit this balance with the payment made on April 20, 2016 in the amount of $89.32;
3.       waive all interest and fees accrued after April 6, 2016.
If you choose to accept this settlement, your remaining principal balance will be $480.44, which will be split into four payments of $120.11, to be debited on your next four pay dates. Once these payments have been posted to your account, MoneyKey will have your Line of Credit closed as paid in full.
KINDLY NOTE THAT, in order to effect the proposed settlement, we require you to contact us to provide your agreement and consent. MoneyKey is unable to make any changes to your Line of Credit without your authorization.
We can be reached at [redacted] or via email at [email protected].
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns. We look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
MoneyKey

Dear Mr. [redacted], We have received your complaint via the Revdex.com and wanted to address your concerns with you personally.  We have initiated an internal investigation and our findings are as follows: 1.      Your loan of $400 was funded...

on April 23rd 2015. Since then, you had renewed your loan twice by signing the attached loan agreements. 2.      You subsequently defaulted on your loan payment dated June 5th 2015 in the amount of $516.88. 3.      Since your loan defaulted, MoneyKey has made numerous attempts to contact you by both email and telephone to have this matter resolved amicably. 4.      Due to our inability to connect with you directly, your file was assigned to 3rd party collections for recovery. 5.      In addition, we have confirmed that the assigned balance to the 3rd party collections agency is indeed $566.88, which is composed of $400 principal, $116.88 finance fee, $25 NSF fee and $25 late fee. We understand that you are experiencing  financial hardship and would be happy to assist you in coming to an affordable payment plan to suit your current financial needs. Please contact myself directly at [redacted] or by email at [redacted] to work out a payment arrangement in order to have this account closed as paid in full.  Best regards,     [redacted]   |   Director, Payment Solutions
