Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/01) */
We are sorry we were unable to move you, the deposit was refunded immediately to credit card ending in [redacted].

Good Afternoon,

This message is in response to [redacted].  I understand the customer's situation, however, he has only been charged for the services we have provided so far.  Meaning, this a not a situation where we charged the customer for the entirety of the move and have...

not delivered.  As we have told the customer, we are more than willing to come out and get the remaining items for the customer, however, that service would be billed as an additional cost.  Our operations manager even explained to the customer that we would cut that cost in half, from $500-600 down to a flat $300, and the customer was going to call back and verify if that resolution was sufficient.  Since that call, the customer has refused to call our local Milwaukee branch and has opted instead to try to get a resolution through our corporate office.  In addition, as far as the damaged items go, the customer called and initiated a claim but, at the time of this message, has not bothered to return any of the requested information necessary to process this claim.
If the customer wishes to get a resolution to this matter, he will need to call our local Milwaukee branch and speak with the operations manager.

Review: On June 29/2013 the moving crew of all my sons moving and storage damaged my leather living room and broke the back of my night stand and drawer chest. I asked them repeatedly to wrapped my furniture but they never did, once my furniture was inside the truck they put some blankets on top, but it was never wrapped.Pictures of my damaged belongings were e-mailed on June 02/2013, on June 05/2013 another e-mail was sent to confirm if the pictures were received, it was not answered.I called them and I was told the pictures were received and forwarded to the director of operations and they will contact me on June 08/2013.After two weeks of my moving I have not been contacted by anybody.Desired Settlement: I want all my belongings that were damaged to be fixed or replaced.

All My Sons Moving and Storage

Review: I made a reservation for a residential move for 8/15/15 which required a $50.00 deposit. All My Sons called to confirm the move on 8/14/15 and stated that they would arrive between 12-3pm. I received a call from John at 2:48pm on 8/15/15 stating they would arrive at 5pm because the prior move took longer than expected. John called back at 4:03pm stating they would not get to me due to truck issues. After hanging up on me, I called back and asked what is being done to rectify and he stated the job was cancelled and I would receive my $50 back. As a "professional" company, a back up truck should have been available or they rent a truck and complete the service as promised. I will never use them again and it is unfortunate because I have used them on more than one occasion in the past and referred others to them as well. John became belligerent and threatening. I would advise that they complete background checks on their movers as he stated that I "don't know about his past". He was very rude, unprofessional, disrespectful, and inappropriate.Desired Settlement: I would like the return of my $50.00 deposit because the service was never provided.

Review: From the moment the crew of three people walked into my place, they started griping and bad-mouthing the company. They started blaming others for not properly preparing them for the type of move they were scheduled for. I dealt with a crew leader who bashed his company and his colleagues for the full ten hours they were on the job. He also informed me that he plans to quit within a month or two. This does not provide confidence in me as his customer.

This was a crew who brought no tools - no screwdrivers, wrenches, knives/razors, specialized dollies (piano move – for a piano move that had been confirmed three times). The crew leader griped all day about working too hard and spent 2.5x times the estimated time to move me one street over.

My neighbor provided the proper dollie since the crew did not come prepared, and her dollie was broken during the process of the move.

Thus far, I have found eleven items that were broken, including: four glasses (in three different boxes), a casserole dish, a canister, two coffee cups, a trinket, and two additional kitchen items. One piece was shattered into hundreds of pieces with glass shards having moved around other wrapped items – clearly dropped or thrown.

Boxes that were marked "fragile" were thrown down (and were upside down at the final spot), even as I verbally requested that extra care be taken.

The crew leader that told me time and again that the team had a second job they "could do", but didn't want to do, so that likely cost me several hours in labor costs. The company also charged me 10% ($121) fuel cost to go quite literally around the corner.

I had color-coded boxes, explained the coding system, and provided a written decoder. The crew still just dumped boxes all over my condo and when I asked that they place the boxes in the appropriate rooms, more griping and a half-hearted effort to appease me. Each box had already been handled 6-7 times at that point, which further put my goods at risk.

I had also taped note cards to the walls and floors of the new space, indicating exactly where and what major pieces should be placed, and walked the crew through these notes. The crew proceeded to misplace two major items, causing me to move a heavy piece across the condo.

I also disassembled my dining room table myself after the crew had already wasted a bunch of time trying to fit it through a doorway that was too narrow. They were not willing to disassemble the table and given the amount of time already wasted, I decided to do it for them. I reassembled the table on the other end as well, because the crew was not going to do so.

They never indicated hearing shattering of anything or damage to property - although I have pictures that will no doubt show that it was not poor packing - these boxes were handled too often (6-7 times each), and with little care - especially after I had to pay a bill (2x the estimate) in full prior to their unloading of my items. Once they were paid, they didn't take any care at all. And, the griping by the crew leader never stopped.

The crew also damaged two walls.

The entire experience was not only highly frustrating, but dealing with a “professional” who is so disrespectful, lazy, and frankly, unprofessional was bad enough. (In fairness, the other two gentlemen were polite - just not careful). To be charged twice the estimate, provide tools, water, food money, and have so many things broken and damaged is just disheartening. All My Sons should be held responsible for their extremely poor “service”.Desired Settlement: At a minimum, I would like to be reimbursed for the damaged dollie, my own labor and some of the damaged items. I firmly believe that All My Sons should refund me for at least 4.75 hours of the move. The crew they sent were slow, inefficient and based on what they told me, I believe they were attempting to get out of a second job by dragging my move out. I should not have to pay above the 3 hour estimate provided to me by the sales agent.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I have sent notarized documentation and several photographs of the damage incurred during the move. I am awaiting a response from All My Sons (beyond acknowledgment of receipt, which I did receive).

Review: I used this company to my move from South Milwaukee, wi to Menomonee falls, Wi Move date was September 27th 2014. they did arrive on time 8:30 Am and the 1st thing the driver said is that they appeciate tips. there were 3 guys the driver and 2 teenage boys. All seemed to be going good for the 1st 2 hours then they started to slow down my husband started helping by loading a pick up truck we had at the house trying to motivate them. They got done with the move at 8:30 PM which I thought was nuts I was over it by then!!! Here are my concerns.

1. they took way too long

2. when they left the old house they forgot to put the main front door back on (thank God my husband left after them or it would of been off and open to th public)

3. I was quoted a price and the Lady who gave me the quote said it will not go over it could go down but not over the quoted price. Price went up (not sure why)

4. the next day we noticed that they forgot to plug in our freezer!!

5. went to the old house the next day and we did a walk thru and found that the movers missed alot of stuff we had a whole pick-up truck full of stuff I think it should of been their job to walk through and make sure they got everything.

6. also when they were unloading our stuff at the new house the Driver kept telling us that his helpers only get paid for the 8 hours so anything over 8 hours they were not getting paid which I thought was not good to hear that kinda of make us feel bad so we did tip $40.00 each guy.

7. after a few days of unpacking we noticed some items missing (Cordless Drill and our GPS garmin) we can't find them anywhere.

I called and sent many e-mails requesting somekind of settelment but I am getting nowhere with this company. If I did get in touch with somebody all they say is we will get back to you but I never hear anything. The 2 people I am dealing with are [redacted] and [redacted]. I do have a e-mail that says that dispatch and [redacted] had already tweaked my bill but that is not true nothing changed.

bottom line is I would of been better off getting a few guys from the streets and paid them $200 each and I think I would of gotten better service.Desired Settlement: I would like to know that this company is made aware of what they are doing to people. Hiring a moving company is suppose to take all the stress away.

Response:

Customer was quoted 1273.50 for the entire move. Customers total bill was 1386.45 this is broken down to labor 1130.50. Customer was billed for labor from 8:30am- 6:00pm, as you see, per customers statement the crew was there until 8:30pm. For 2.5 hours of extra work the customer was not billed for and all packing materials used on the job were discounted. I believe this is fair as the customer was not charged $297.50 for the extra labor and materials used on the job.

When we began the search to move, I went online and found All My Sons moving. Via their website, I placed all my information in stating what we had, the date we wanted to use them and such. Immediately after I hit submit, a Female called me from their Dallas, TX office. She explained very clear to me that they charge by the hour. The charges will start when the truck pulls up to my house. I explained to her that we were just moving big furniture and a piano. I asked if I should hire a piano mover and she said that they move pianos as well. I booked the service and moved on with our plans.
Monday morning, their Wisconsin office called and confirmed the time. He raddled off of per hour charge and asked what we were moving. I again, explained that we had a piano and then large furniture on all floors.
Moving day came and they sent three guys who worked extremely hard. As my Husband gave them a tour of the house they became extremely upset that there was a piano. They said that the office did not give them the tools to move a piano and they were not sure if they would be able to get it up the stairs. I also explained to them that they were moving our stuff to a storage unit because we have a couple of weeks between houses. Then they said that this job wasn't even worth their time.
Once we were at the storage unit, they began unloading and the lead guy said we should go over the bill. The bill stated that they started at 9:15 AM which they did and I signed off on. Then, it has WRITTEN IN Travel $124. I asked what this charge was and they said that this charge was for them to get to my house and to get back. I said that this charge was never explained to me and that I was told that it was a flat rate of $124 per hour and it starts when they arrive at my house. Then, their was a 10% fuel charge WRITTEN IN that was never explained to me as well. I questioned all these extra charges and they put me on the phone with someone from the office. I asked the man on the phone about the charges and he said "Let me go line by line with you because the people in Texas forget to tell you about these charges." I explained that they can not "forget" to tell me about almost $200 in charges and think I'm going to be okay with that. I explained that it is completely unfair and illegal to do this and I will not be paying these extra charges. So then I talked to his supervisor who said "I went over all these charges with you at 8:30 AM Monday when I called you." I disagreed and he then raised his voice at me and said "You didn't tell me you had furniture in the basement!" which is all not relevant to the phone call. He told me that the men would not be unloading my belongings until I gave them a credit card number. Little did he know that the truck was almost unloaded so his scare tacit didn't work with me. I am so upset that I was charged almost $200 of fees that were never brought to my attention until my belongings were on their truck and at storage. I need a resolution to this and the extra charges back!

Review: Over the weekend we hired All My Sons Moving and Storage out of their Waukesha branch office (headquartered and ran in Cudahay) to do our move. We had requested two men to come with a truck that would meet the needs of only a few items needing to be moved. We had already moved everything out of the apartment except for the furniture items in the Living Room and in the only Bedroom. We were moving out and in a 1 bedroom apartment, and no boxes were left behind, it was only the furniture with nothing in its way to move.

Two men did indeed show up, but they told us right away that their Saran Wrap was stolen off the truck. This is an essential moving item to bring as it protects the furniture, keeps the drawers closed while moving, etc. I suggested to run directly across the street to purchase some and offered to purchase some myself, however they insisted they could move the items and they would not get damaged. The first item they picked up was the taller dresser from the bedroom. It immediately fell on its face and broke or scratched every single drawer including the top and bottom frame. Later on several other things got broken / damaged, however I am complaining about the lack of service and time we paid for rather than the damage.) From this moment on as the dresser broke, the movers began to verbally argue with each other in front of us in regards to what to do.

One man did continue to work and move items from here, but the other one decided he was done and would just walk in circles. He was pacing back and forth, watching the second man work, asking the second man what to do and continued to play with his phone, turn on different songs from his phone, etc. We ended up taking apart the bed ourselves as this man didn't know how to do it and we just watched him literally sit next to the bed while we unscrewed it and he play with his phone.

I am not complaining in regards to the broken and damaged items, this was a huge nuance however we are filing an insurance claim with the company in hopes they will reimburse as promised. The damages were one thing, but we are extremely upset with the lack of support we had from the movers and their lack of customer service. We are complaining since the hourly rate was for two movers and ended up with 1 mover that truly helped and a second person that didn't move anything and was simply in the way.

Due to only having 1 mover, the cost was significantly higher than we anticipated for the small 1 bedroom + living room move. I moved this exact same furniture 1 year ago equal mileage as well. This other moving company moved this exact furniture in 2 hours + charged 1 hour travel fee. Therefore the total charge was roughly 3 hours total. All My Sons took 3 hours along with the hour travel fee, therefore getting charged 4 hours.

We had paid the full amount for 2 movers during the time worked. In reality only had 1 mover helping and a second person in the way slowing down the first mover. I am not complaining about the damages done since this will be taken care of with the insurance company. I am not complaining about the lack of moving tools brought by the company to support our move. I am not complaining about the rudeness and arguing between the movers. All of this did occur, but I don't agree with paying for two movers when only one mover helped in reality.Desired Settlement: We will be satisfied if our bill is adjusted to save an hour of labor of $120/hour to match what the time should have been if we had two movers supporting us the whole time. We believe it took much longer to have 1 man move all of our belongings. We would be satisfied with this adjustment.

Review: Moving company caused damage while moving items, did not finish the move. The caused damage to the home and to the items, refusing to repair property/items that were damaged by their company during the move. Had to have others finish the move. It has been 3 months now with no resolution.Desired Settlement: At this point we would like to be reimbursed for the damage caused to our items and to the new home that we moved into. We need to have a contractor come in to fix the damage to the drywall, fix the holes in the walls. We need to have our damaged furniture fixed as well.

To whom it may concern:

It would take pages to explain our experience with All My Sons - WI location. The estimator came to our home and reviewed every room/every packed box. She left me with a written estimate and said it was the absolute maximum we would pay. Turns out this woman is completely incapable of doing her job, or All My Sons follows the "bait and switch" method of business. Because when the movers showed up, the truck they had was too small for the job. I expressed concern, but none of the movers said anything. More than half-way through the job the dispatcher contacted me to say they needed to send another truck and two more guys. Coincidentally, dispatcher said, there was a 2nd truck with two guys right around the block - hmmmm. I hesitated with giving approval for the 2nd truck, but it was obvious we needed it. When AMSons delivered items to our new home, they presented the bill to my husband which was MORE THAN DOUBLE the estimate. My husband refused to pay additional amount, on the grounds their estimator did not do her job accurately and company misled us with a low bid. No one in upper mgmnt at AMSons could explain how/why this woman so grossly underestimated. One comment was she had recently been in the hospital ... and that is our problem??? AMSons proceeded to send a muscle man to shut down the operation. The movers sat on the grass for 45 min while muscle man attempted to bully my husband into paying the additional amount. When he still refused, this man threatened to drive away with all our items on the truck. My kids were crying about losing their things. We spoke with VP of Operations who was extremely hostile to my husband on the phone. Unfortunately we were left with no other option but to pay. Later the mover grunts told us this type of thing happens ALL THE TIME. The WI location is not accredited, otherwise I would file a complaint with the Revdex.com. DO NOT HIRE THEM. Read other reviews - it's the same across the board. Also, they delete negative reviews on their website. Do yourself a favor - go with a reputable company.

Review: This company moved me on May 2013. In the process of moving my personal belongings. They damaged alot of my personal belongings. They refused to even take my phone calls until I put my experience on Facebook, then that same day the owner messaged me back very angry I bad mouthed his company. He promised to get someone out to look at the damaged property ( which the movers admitted doing ) and he never did and again refused to call me or speak with me. They damaged my bed that was a week old. And broke several of my things.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed like the owner promised.

Thank you

Review: All My Sons has neglected addressing damage issues that were brought to their attention. We were told we receive a call regarding the situation the next business day, 8/25/14 We had photos taken by their employees at the time of the damage. Following unpacking we found additional damage and attempted to send additional photos and made daily calls and left messages requesting a return call. Their email was too full to accept emails four days in a row and no calls from customer services or anyone have been received.Desired Settlement: A call back and an insurance adjustment to cover the damage done. Review: I called All My Sons to move me in Aug. I paid 50.00 down to be moved on the 18th of Aug. They were to send someone out to give an estimate but she couldn't make it. I didn't reset the appointment cause it I didn't need an estimate. The 17th I called to ask what time they would be coming and I was told that I has been cancelled. They where to move me the next day, Sunday, but that day I got a call saying their truck broke down. I had sold the house and was closing the next morning and they said they would be there the next afternoon. When they came they said they could not move me cause I wasn't packed. I thought they would pack me cause of the ad on their phone message while I was on hold. They said I should have said that I needed packing and I said they should have offered me that service. Now I had to paid 200.00 because I was not out at closing. I requested my 50.00 back and was told there was no down payment. I have an email confirming my down payment. Review: I hired All my sons moving and storage to do our move to our new house. The move happened on August 14 2014. The movers completed the move and upon completion I noticed damage to some of our furniture and that there was a large scratch and dent in our stair at our new house. The movers didn't say a word. I called [redacted] (All My Sons)and reported this that day. [redacted] wanted me to get a quote to repair/replace the step. I told [redacted] the other damage was minor to our furniture and that I am only worried about the step. I got a quote from M.J. May building and restoration for the amount of $495 to replace the hardwood step. I have made contact by phone with All my sons on 8-14, 8-15, 8-18, 9-2, 9-8, 9-15 2014. I was not receiving response back from all my Sons moving. I finally got a email from [redacted] on 9-2-2014 stating that they were willing to pay a maximum of $175.00 but my bid was $495 to replace the step. I replied that this was unacceptable. I told [redacted] that All my sons damaged my stair and that they need to repair/replace it properly. I suggested at this time that they get there own quote to fix my step or use there own contractor. On 9-15 I received a email reply asking if they could use there own guy. I replied same day stating yes they could and haven't heard from them since.

I can provide phone records and emails, bottom line is that All my sons moving and storage damaged my steps in my new house and they need to replace the step in a timely fashion or give me the money to hire someone. I have done what they asked by sending them pictures of the step, getting a quote and feel as if I am getting strung along. This issue has been going on since 8-14 to present with no resolve.Desired Settlement: Replace my step using a reputable contractor or give me the money to replace the step.

Review: Consider carefully before engaging All My Sons Moving and Storage. Get quotes from other companies, reputable companies, because you find that all things considered the quote from All My Sons is not much different from the others. What is different is that All My Sons Moving and Storage talks a good game but delivers disappointment. These folks are supposed to be professional movers. My experience told me otherwise.

Upon arrival the formality of paperwork was at the top of the agenda. The one item that struck me was the option to 'bubble wrap' everything. My experience was that movers have quilted blankets to protect furniture. Given that the blankets can be used over and over and bubble wrap costs extra and ends up in a landfill the choice was easy. Professional movers don't sell bubble wrap. So that's how we started.

The crew consisted of [redacted] and [redacted] and while it seemed [redacted] was supposed to be in charge the constant arguing and bickering suggested there was no one in charge. This became obvious when they attempted to bring a large oak dresser from our upstairs bedroom to the truck. It was clear that the two were unable to choreograph step one. They were arguing with one another, move left, right, lift, when over all the yelling we heard the sounds of our dresser crashing down the stairs. Our immediate concern was for [redacted] who was at the bottom of the stairs. He could easily have been injured or worse.

So no one professed to be hurt and from the top of the stairs the dresser appeared to be intact. What wasn't noticed was that the desk had damaged the closet door at the base of the stairs. Well I should say it wasn't noticed by either my wife or I. I could make a case on how the damage was purposefully concealed (and it was) but it would require pictures and a lengthy explanation. If pressed, I can provide both.

So now the truck is packed up and we arrive at our new home. By now it was clear that [redacted] was hobbled. Apparently the desk, after the trip down the stairs, had landed on his foot. As you might expect the dresser was damaged. No amount of bubble wrap would have protected it. [redacted] said [redacted] would repair it , a broken draw guide. [redacted] came in with the tools and spent 10 or 15 minutes with the dresser. When I asked if it was fixed he said it was.

As items came off the truck it was easy to see that blankets were not used. I could easily look into the truck and see items stacked and pressed together without the protection of a movers blanket. Our dinette table, solid maple had been nicked and scratched. [redacted] said the company would send someone out to repair it in a couple of weeks. I said I wasn't in a hurry and that would be fine. So I noted the damage when I signed for the delivery and the move was complete.

But the issues were never reconciled and as it turns out, the dresser we were told was repaired had not been touched. Again, deception. Then, after several weeks, I reached out to All My Sons to find out when someone who knew what they were doing would be by to do the repairs. No response. I disputed the charge with Capital One, but All My Sons pointed to the contract and my refusal to pay for bubble wrap claiming they were absolved of any responsibility as a result.Desired Settlement: The furniture that was damaged was not constructed from press board. The dresser solid oak and the dinette maple. The point is that these repairs require a professional. I am estimating that those repairs will cost in the neighborhood of $500.00 dollars. I would expect All My Sons to reimburse me or send someone qualified (with credentials) to do the repairs.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Not sure how to proceed. I am inclined to reject the response from All My Sons. As this process to recover damages began there was never any mention of a 'Claims Department' nor at any other point until I received this message. Furthermore I have attempted to call the Claims Department on 3 separate occasions. Not only has there been no one on the other end there is a message "please leave your message after the tone..." with no mention of who I am leaving the message with. No identification of company, person or position. Not sure I want to leave information under those circumstances.

Review: To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this letter because we have had one of the worst experiences of our lives. On Saturday, August 30th we had a delivery team of 3 arrive at 9 am. The driver did a walkthrough of the first location and said that his team would be able to take care of it. The first location was a 4 bedroom house but only select items were being taken, not the entire house. One of the team members was unable to lift heavy objects, even with the assistance of another team member. This members name was [redacted]. At one point he tried to pull a dolly up 2 steps holding two boxes and could not, thus my wife stepped in and helped pull it up the steps. The whole day the other two members called him "[redacted]" due to his lack of strength. At the end of the day, [redacted] had to go sit in the truck because he felt like passing out and almost threw up.

At the first location they did not have the strength to move the stand-up freezer in the basement. After spending a good chunk of time getting into position and moving it up a couple of stairs they said they could not get it up. We then had to assist in putting it back in its original location thus, wasting time and money. Now at our new house we don't have the use of our freezer. The driver spent a majority of the time outside organizing the truck and then taking smoke breaks while talking on his cell phones for personal matters. Only coming inside to assist with the heaviest pieces; he also stated that little items are not worth his time to move. We were told by the delivery set up guy that we could leave our clothes in dressers and food in the freezers. This led to the crew dropping and antique armoire on the stair case and letting it slide down the rest of the way. I also thought it was odd that they kept asking for bottled water. Why wouldn't they bring their own fluids? I wasn't going to refuse them water throughout the day though, because we didn't want anybody to get dehydrated.

We then went to the new house to unload because when they made their original estimate. The only estimated for 3700 pounds. For which, where did they even get that number. We told them that we had 3 bedrooms worth of stuff and a large storage unit. During the unloading process, they dragged some of the larger dressers on the newly refinished floors. Causing scratching and marks. They also ran into some of the freshly painted walls creating scratches and divots. Also while moving in a 3 month old leather sofa, they tried forcing it through the door without covering it and managed to rip the leather in multiple places from where it dragged against the cement and metal door jam. This also caused damage to the door jam. Ripping up the metal flashing and chunking and breaking the wood. The crew was very apologetic and told us to call the "Boss" who would file an insurance claim to cover all damages. Twice throughout the day it rained, and the crew sat in the truck waiting for it to end. Why are we paying for smoke breaks, cell phone chats that they all took, and sitting in the truck during part of the rain. I don’t know about your company but my job would not pay me to not work!

We then went to our 10X20ft storage unit. Which we ending helping load some of the smaller items so we could get the process rolling since it was already getting late in the day. Not all our items fit due to the ramp that they brought along because it needed to fit back inside the truck. So they than stated that they would have to make a third run that day. After loading up at the storage unit they then took a lunch break before meeting us back at the house. At this point you could see the energy was depleting. And team member [redacted] was having problems lifting pieces because his back was bothering/hurting him. At one point, my wife and I had to push on his back because he couldn't handle lifting the dresser while going up the stairs and we did not want anything else scratched or broken. Even still the crew lost control and smashed into the wall with the dresser creating a divot in the wall and scratched the dresser.

To help the guys out, I had removed the two outside doors and basement door to create more room. When it came time to move in the washer and dryer they said there was no way for them to fit. After multiple attempts, I had to step in and explain how they should bring the item front facing so it was skinnier vs sideways where it is wider. They got it in to the back door to the landing but didn't have the proper equipment or strength to bring it down the rest of the way. One of the crew members set the washer on the stair which caused the wood laminate to crack. They brought it back outside and stored in the garage, saying they would come back in the morning and try again. Another issue was that they left the washer out in a rainstorm which could have possibly damaged the electrical components. Which we won't know about until it is in place and we can plug it in to do a test run. We had also requested that they take out an old washer, dryer and a freezer from the basement. They still sit there unattached useless to us. So now we have to either run to a laundromat to do laundry or someone else's house which is inconvenient and will end up costing us money in the future.

Then the driver told us that they did not have enough time to run back to the storage unit because he was federally mandated and limited to 10 hours of driving per day and if he exceeds that he gets a fine. The driver than told us that he talked to his boss and his boss would call us that night to schedule something for the next day. That call never came. When we called the next day, they were closed and would not open until Tuesday.

The driver had told us in passing that he was just supposed to drive the other two members but that he was being nice in loading the heavy pieces because the other two weren't strong enough. He also noted that it was a waste of his time to move the smaller items. Why would we pay almost $1800 for a crew to move all our items when in the end they did not get the job done? And in fact in the end created loss and damage. In addition, we still have items in our storage unit. Every day that we do not have the job completed means that we have to leave our rental of the storage unit open. Thus, meaning more money out of our pockets because that in essence is $7 per day. It is ridiculous that I now have to pay a mortgage and a rental fee every month!

The thing that infuriated me the most was the phone call I finally received Tuesday by the "Boss." When I explained the situation that had occurred the guy had said that he would not send a crew out to finish the job, unless we paid for the additional time. He said that he has a "business" to run. He then proceeded to call me nothing short of a "liar" about the size of the storage unit. In his notes, it listed the unit size being 14x8. I never told him the size of the storage unit in the first place. Why would I ever want to underestimate the size of the unit. I want the biggest and best crew that I could get, otherwise in the long run the move takes more time costing me more money. I then started talking to him about the damage to the house and his tone became very demeaning and belittling. All he said was to send him pictures of everything to his email so that he could investigate and send someone out. We have done this and heard nothing in return.

On Sunday September 6th, we went to the old residence to get some items out of the stand-up freezer that they could not move and found that it had been broken in the process (we did not notice sooner because we are living at the new residence). There has never been a problem with the freezer until the crew tried to drag it up the stairs. In addition all the food on the inside was completely thawed and rotten, including mold on many of the items. Everything in the freezer had to be thrown out which is a couple hundred dollars’ worth of food. Trust me when I say your team knew that it was in working order because when they tried to move it the door opened at one point and crew member [redacted] said they were all hot and would love one of the popsicles in the freezer which my wife said was fine and all three crew members indulged on a treat.

At this point we expect a different crew that can actually handle lifting our objects without doing damage. For $1800 we totally feel raked over the coals. At this point also, we expect not to spend one more cent on completing the move that we have already paid for in full. And that damage to our personal property is rectified!

Please Contact me or my wife by email or Cell Phone. My wife has already sent pictures in an email along for damages incurred to our house and objects. I would like to speak to someone in the corporate division. I do not wish to talk to the manager of the local delivery as they were very rude and could not help me out.

We have been in touch with the corporate office as well with no fair resolution.Desired Settlement: Not pay another penny as we paid $1800 and a get a claims person to look at all the damage. We would like a different crew as well.to deliver our stuff.

Review: I hired All My Sons Milwaukee to move my two-bedroom home. I spoke with [redacted] and he quoted me a five hour move, $99/hour, with no additional fees. He said that they would wrap all of the furniture in blankets to protect it and that they would move quickly. I left my debit card number and they said that they would charge the $50 deposit a few days before the move. They charged the card after I called, about three weeks before the move. It ended up being an 8 hour move, $129/hour (they sent a third mover because he said it would cut down on the move time, which ended up being more - I was told about this the day before the move, making it extremely difficult to switch companies) and a 10% fuel surcharge. In addition, the movers got lost on the way to the new home and drove around for an extra 45 minutes (which I had to pay for - also the truck had GPS, so I am not sure how they got lost - unless it was to bump up the overall time). Not only was one of the movers incredibly slow - complaining of an injured hip/side, they took frequent cigarette and drink breaks, the movers were not careful and many items were damaged in the move. The movers did not use straps or other safety items to move the larger items, they did not wrap items to protect them from damage, and they dragged heavy items across the floor. A coffee table was not wrapped in a blanket, which they promised to do, and it was damaged beyond repair. When one of the movers showed us the damage, he told me not to worry, that they would replace it. The lawn mower was laid on its side, causing oil to go into the carburetor, now the mower won't start and needs to be replaced/repaired. A large scratch was incurred on the door of the refrigerator, this scratch is not able to be repaired. When moving a large item, they dragged it across the floor, which caused the flooring to rip several inches. This is one single piece of flooring in the kitchen, so the entire floor needs to be replaced. When I talked to [redacted], and questioned the fuel surcharge and the extra driving time, he became very defensive, he began to yell at me and never explained the fuel surcharge. I continued asking him to explain the surcharge and he didn't. I questioned why I had to pay for the 45 minutes that they were lost, and he couldn't answer the question. He continued to be defensive and decided that he would knock off 5% of the fuel surcharge, then changed his mind and knocked off another 5% as well. That still left the question of me paying for the movers getting lost and he never answered it. I was told that the claims department would call me first thing in the morning. They didn't and I ended up having to call them myself. I am still awaiting a claims package to describe the damage - though it was explained to me that the company can choose to not replace or repair these items. Bottom line: This company was dishonest from the start. The damage that occurred to my property and home was from the movers being neglectful. I was greatly and unethically misquoted. The charges that I had to pay could not be explained or rationalized.Desired Settlement: I would like All My Sons to refund the cost of the move, $1125. This money would help cover the cost to replace the damaged and destroyed items.
