Nextdoor has poor customer serviceYou can only contact them through their site via a messageThe responses are vague and usually not helpfulIt was good when we first started using it in our City years ago, now it is not helpful and Nextdoor personnel seem not to care...more about growing in quantity (locations) than quality (neighborhood experience/customer service)When you try to contact them for help, it's like going in circlesIt also depends on who answers your emailYou feel like no one is really listening

On January 31, I signed with NextDoor Business/Real Estate to promote my business on their website for only $I did not receive the service I though I was going to receive, nevertheless it was only $22, I was willing to let it goOn Wednesday, Feb 13, I received a call from a number ***, *** *** and I told him I was not happy with the service that I received and I wanted to Cancel my subscriptionHe was surprise to learn that NextDoor was charging me $475, he said he was going to follow upToday, I received notification that NextDoor charged my account $475.00, I am overdraft now and I never authorized this chargeI want my money backI cannot communicate with them because they don't have a telephone number, only emailI sent them emails but have not receive response yetPlease, help me get my money back and let them know they should clarifyThank you

I have been disappointed by Nextdoor's "selective" user guidelines and monitoring practices for some time nowI was horribly harassed and stalked by two different persons over some political issuesDespite multiple attempts to get some resolution from Next-door they didn't even bother to get back to meThe perpetrators broke just about every Next-door rule multiple times, and yet I was left to fend for myselfIt was so bad that we considered hiring a lawyerWe even installed a second security system in our home because of itIt was quite obvious to me that Next-door was taking a political stance against the particular citizen's committee of which I am a member, and that they appeared to favor persons connected to a big money Bay Area developer who does not even live in our communityIt was a big disappointment and shock to residents who saw the exchanges on what they thought was supposed to be a safe "neighborhood" venueMany of us also got the impression that subscribers were randomly suspended or removed from next-door for very minor infractions, while others who consistently committed severe policy violations were allowed to remain undeterredUse this site with extreme cautionYou're on your own if you have a problem with it

It became quickly apparent that there were double standards for guidelinesSome members were allowed to make negative argumentative or inappropriate comments while others were repremanded and their conversation was removed due to content or guideline infractionsI found it a waste of time and deactivated my account within hours of activation

I received a direct mailing from this business with a return address of "St Neighbors", yet the mailing originated from an entirely different zip codeThis business uses return addresses are a lure to entice users to join their service

Nextdoor seem to cater to HOA needs instead of actual neighborhoodsIf they don't like the post that exposes HOAs poor SOPs or states a bad experience with a business that advertises on their app, they will remove your postNo comments or explanationsThis has been my experience in the past and most recentlyNextdoor is not a forum for neighbors to discuss their issues and express their opinions unless the moderators think it makes the app looks good or is acceptable to the HOAYour opinion only matters if it fits their parameters

Re: Nextdoor Garden District of Baton Rouge Louisiana Nextdoor made changes to the neighborhood boundaries without the leads’ input and added a new lead from outside the district, without notifying or consulting the bonafide leadsNextdoor did not offer any explanation and has thus far refused to honor the boundaries voted on by the bonafide leads

Nextdoor fails to follow the practices that it claims to use in its response to the Revdex.com on a regular basis They DO NOT notify members of potential problems before taking actions to disable accounts nor do they inform members that they have taken action after they do so They are becoming a untrustworthy moderator for neighborhood conversations

Do not post using this site! They posted a picture that I removed prior to posting that contain confidential information Yet it was still posted This is a major security flaw within their system If you select a wrong picture it still posts without your knowledge I had to delete my account as that was the only way I feel safe that my wrong information is no longer there along with the incorrect picture with sensitive information that was posted without my knowledge as I thought it was deleted Plus there is no way to contact them to find out how I know if this was removed so no one else would see it!

This website is the worseI have never heard of Nextdoor.com before and just recently moved into my condo when I received a handwritten addressed card in the mail from nextdoor.com I thought it was a platform my condo association was using, so naturally I signed up and even provided an emergency contact, as I got to know the site more, I realized it was more of a social platform and NOT at all related to my associationthe most upsetting part is now my emergency contact is getting bombarded with emails from this damn siteTheir card to me was not at all clear on what their services were, they legit made it seem like they were from the association I am very disturbed and bothered by this and feel awful of the spam my emergency contact is now getting from this site

This review contains both bad news about NextDoor (ND) and good news, I have been a member of NextDoor for perhaps years, and am a lead in the area where I first joinedThen I started staying more and more with my mother in another city as her health declined, and when her pet disappeared, I wanted to post that on her area's ND I couldn't do so using my own email address, because ND kept sending me back to my own city 's ND account So, using the nextdoo*** website, I joined again using a new email address, and a new name to go with it -- the missing pet;s nme -- to do soThat is how I found out that the paid ND administrators are not actually checking all new members to be sure that they are real people who really live at the address they give when they join,
This is important to know because it is what makes members of ND vulnerable to people who can masquerade as real people and real neighbors in order to run scams Like saying some poor person they know was cheated out of a deposit on a house, so they need part time work, so will people please hire them (for tasks that would give the poor person access to the sympathetic neighbor's home and garage)And then the ND member who is posting this sad story fails to respond to legitimate questions that members ask about this story I have seen variations of this sort of post in both the areas to which I belong as a ND memberI was then told that the UNPAID LEADS are supposed to vet all new members - even ones who joined without an invitation, How are the unpaid leads supposed to vet people they don't know anything about, when they don't even have the power to demand that the new member hand over a photo ID? Plus, this recent news about vetting was the first time I heard after many years of being a lead that the LEADS are supposed to do thisSo basically, ND is fertile ground for scammer who depend n fidning trusting victimsThe good news is that this is a great place to share LOCAL info about missing and found pets, neighbors who need help, getting referrals for services you need, volunteer opportunities, local politics, tips on anything you, want and moreIt has also been great for people who share info about ongoing criminal enterprises, like the teams who steal packages that have been delivered by UPS, FedEx, etc., who follow the trucks around or troll areas looking to packages on porches If the local police set up a unit that just interfaced with all the smart, noisy neighbors with surveillance equipment on ND, they could stop a lot of such crimesBack to the bad news -- leaving it up to leads to decide if posts fit a policy is an imperfect -- but at least, at the beginning, CHEAP -- way of monitoring posts It will make for an interesting free speech lawsuit on the question of whether NextDoor is a public forum and its responsibility for what leads do

very misleadingI got a postcard saying my neighbors would like me to join the neighborhood private communityIt is not that at allThis is some troll getting people to sign up and give personal informationI have tried to cancel their emails but they keep sending me things from their web siteWhen you call the number there is only a message saying they don't take callsI want others to know that your neighbor hood to them is in a mile radius and your neighbors know nothing about this companyThey ask what you like to do, how many children at home..I did not fill that out since I realized this was a company fishing for info to sell to advertisers Why do they always come from San Francisco?

Recently I followed a story, claiming a K( dog VALLEJO PD was being abused,
What I didn't know was the story was fabricated from another story from Vallejo Happenings, but before that I asked my spouse to reach out to VPD High Level Officer, and he was connected to the LTto investigate this storyMy husband called the person who reported the story and gave her the number to call and have animal control interveneThe woman declined to call though we had VPD willing to the call agencyMy husband then reported on the thread to say she declined to call and that the person who initiated the org story had not been truthfulThe woman stated my was liar on NDA, I replied to the site stating I was there when my husband called and she declined, my husband is a 21yr Retired Officer Veteran USCG and is employed with the Federal GovtThen she said she as being abused, more untruthful replies were posted We asked the moderator to remove this information that it was character assaultNDP response it was good conversation and they kept the story liveThey refused to remove a fabricated story and we stated we had an email from the person who posted on Vallejo Happenings that it was a neighbor issueNot only did NDA allow the person to post inaccurate information she posted the map and picture of the the house of the alleged abuserThis company does nothing to remove lies but allows a home to posted for all to seeI feel there should be a class action law suit against this company

A man found our neighbor's information through the NextDoor app and used that information to send her threats and stalk herShe went to court and was issued a restraining order against this manNextDoor has refused to remove him from the platform or offer blocking services, putting her safety at risk

NextDoor Promotes Cyber Bullying and Hate Crimes Next-door allowed my neighbors to cyber bully me online and use the site for public shamingThey allowed them to post my personal information leading to the endangerment of me and my childrenA neighbor posted complaints on the site to publically shame a person they think they saw in a car on the road doing something they did not approve of and then posted the description with license plate number of the carWithin a few days of hateful messages and public shamingAn original post was made by *** ***, *** *** *** on Nov in Crime & Safety to *** *** *** She listed a description of my car and listed my license plate to make allegations of a dangerous hateful nature onlineThis is considered public shaming and against the rulesAfter she posted my license plate number online and started accusations creating a hateful conversations and public shaming about activities in a carI had peo

I have been a actuve member and supporter of the since I moved to my neighbourhoodI have been kicked off the app for weeks now and I am very disappointed in the customer service received from the actual customer service team of next doorI contacted the team first and they explained that it was because I violated the guidelines about advertising businessesI explained that I am not a business holder and that I just recommend local businessesI explained I was mad becayse they withheld my account on the basis of a fellow nextdoor members complaint under suspicion but did not look into the matter further and rather totally suspended my account due to a complaintI have had posts taken down unrightfully because of member complaints and this is not rightI would like my account back because I have personal messages I need to access asap and after my initial response to the team, I have not received an answer after daysIt usually takes hrs to respond from themI would also li

I posted about a man snapping naked pictures of me and who attacked my year old father so they suspended my account saying not to humiliate someoneThey don't care about safety of the community at allTerrible app; suing them:

Funny there are more negative than positive reviews I guess people who have a beef are much more likely to write then those of us who are satisfiedI have nothing but good to say about this companyIn fact, I totally rely on them for selecting trades and professional people It is a much more reliable source then *** ***, ***, *** ***, or any other I've tried My life is incredibly easier since I got on this siteThere is no pressure to socialize at all nor to participate in write-ups or not People can use it however they want toI know people both on the East Coast and West Coast who say that life was quite a bit harder before this site came along That's the case for me

Nextdoor has sent me over e-mail messages, none which I explicitly signed up for They do not allow simple removal from their lists One has to not just login but agree to share one's email contacts with them in order to get to the screen where one can remove oneself from their email lists Having to share one's email contacts to unsubscribe is outrageousThe offending site is: *** Their email address is: ***

Nextdoor*** is a public forum predominately ran by Leads in the neighborhoodThis forum has guidlenes that are to be follwed by all who sign upIt has been noted that the leads for the community can by pass such guidlenes to favor their agendaLeads are placing defamatory, and derogatory information on the site about a neighbor that they have a personal issue withAllowing others neighbors within the community to elaborate and discuss these untruthsThe leads then have the oppurtunity to remove any post that they do not approve or like from the siteOnce you notify Nextdoor*** that the lead themself aren't following the guidlenes and are posting defamatory and derogatory information about neighbors they place the blame back on the person complainingNextdoor*** need a better system in place to protect neighbors from this private forum of bashing, name calling, slander, libel, and unfriendly discussion of other neighborsThe lead can report anything to try to get a neighbor o
