My experience has been to see Nextdoor used as a covert campaign platform for local city council candidatesIn spite of numerous reports of posts that violate their own community guidelines, nothing was done to address the issuesThe leads clearly act out of their own bias and apply the guidelines inconsistently based on that biasAs I've researched further, it's easy to understand why Nextdoor has been a lightning rod for controversy for racial profiling and political bias

My account has been suspended with no explanation and no reasonI am a lead and did not do anything wrong in my neighborhoodI did my best to defuse situations especially the political ones that were coming upI would remove post that would reported and I would report post I knew when breaking guidelinesI have added over people to the group it from my neighborhood and was born and raised hereI have contacted them three times now about this with no response and when I go to sign and it shows I’m not even hereThere were a couple of neighbors that are new to the neighborhood who said they were going to do everything they could to get me removed from next-door and looks like they succeeded

I found someone very rude [no internet manners] on nextdoor I took my posting down and deactivated my account I would not recommend it to anyone

Nextdoor allows cyberbullying even though it's against their policy
I tried to explain things and was being called mental and they even insulted my parents Nextdoor allowed it and took me off the site Only me
They tried to charge my friends to use their 'free site'
ZERO STARS DESERVED

About last month I joined Nextdoor*** the subdivision where I have lived for the past yearsI started posting on the site with some pretty benign posts about recommendations and suggestions, trying my best to be helpfulIn my last post which was a response to another post by someone wanting a recommendation for a neurologist, I gave my recommendation suggesting that she contact a doctor friend of mine for a referralRight after my post a person with the initials ***., I won't mention the name, posted that a certain doctor was the best neurologist in townI came back with a post suggesting that patients can't really know doctors as well as doctors know doctorsShe then posted " I agree with that 100%, I am a doctor recommending a doctor"Well the way she wrote her posts with exclamation points and smiley faces I was in doubt that she was an M.Dso I looked up her name in the Texas Medical Registry and did not find her thereSo then I proceeded to post a statement

needing supportI keep getting billed for sponsorship of the website but have received no services for my paymentNo one at the website will contact or help me

The Leads are unqualified amateurs who do not follow their own rules and have double standards for everything They are abusive and unprofessional and post information for businesses of friends and acquaintances The idea for Nextdoor is excellent, but the lack of oversight and ethics is appalling

I'm a candidate for the office of mayor in my cityA couple of weeks ago I posted an announcement regarding a community meeting I was holding to engage the community in discussionThe post was reported and removed from the newsfeedWhen I inquired as to why my posting was removed, I was told it was a violation of the website's policyIn an email dated March 17, 2018, I was instructed if I wanted to make an announcement in the news feed I needed to removed all mention of my candidacy for officeThe following is the exact statement that was made; "As far as your post for the event, if you would like to post it to the newsfeed you would need to refrain from mentioning your candidacy for MayorI hope this helpsBest, Gary Nextdoor" On Saturday, March 24, 2018, I made the following post to the newsfeed" CommunityMeeting VIC ***, invites Lancaster residents to a community meeting Saturday, March 31, 2018, at World Harvest Ministries, *** *** ***,***, starting at 3:p

From the very first post I made on Nextdoor, I was bullied and shamed by one of the leadsI reported her to NextdoorThey did nothingShe bullies me and my friends every chance she getsShe reports every comment I makeThis has continued for two years with me complaining when I've had enough or people start coming to me complaining about this womanJust today I've noticed that the level of my lead privileges has been reduced so that I can't see what others are reportingI don't get to vote on whether to remove a post or notI can't delete my own posts! Today I got a message that it was removed from my neighborhoodThat means it's still visible to all the nearby neighborhoodsIn my opinion this system is poorly designed and the software poorly writtenThe "new and improved" user interface is not intuitive or user friendlyIt is not at all attractiveIt is clunky and ridden with bugsCustomer service was condescending, arrogant, non-responsive, and incompetentI'm sorry I ever fell for their pitchIt scares me that they have my personal information foreverIt scares me that I've wasted so much time on them

I was blocked for no reasonWhen I asked they said that my account was hacked and I had to send a copy of picture ID with my information on itMy husband is on the same siteI was never hacked and now they are asking for my private info

I have experienced a deplorable situation with Next-doorOur neighborhood which was established years ago and has a historical society preserving the sanctity of our neighborhood was merged with another neighborhood due to two "leads" with political motivation in the accompanying neighborhood Since our neighborhood only had one "lead" and did not vote on this boundary reversal, his "non-vote" is considered approval of the merging of the neighborhoods Now, all of our neighborhood is forced to see their political commentary on their view points about not allowed Short term vacation rentals into the area We have asked the leads to change it back and their response was "they don't really see our neighborhood as a true neighborhood." Next-door has no phone number so you are forced to email with incompetent customer service reps who tell you there's nothing they can do about it I am currently exploring other apps to utilize for our neighborhood and will be asking our homeowners to remove themselves from Next-door and for the meantime visit our *** page for neighborhood events and information

This service is a big complaints forum and has a lot of libelous statementsThere is a lot of racism on the site as wellIt is full of nasty comments about neighbors

Nextdoor suspends accounts for reasons that they don't explain to the account holderIt is random and violates the first amendment.after the Santa fe school shooting I posted my email to the school super intendant and a discussion erruptedI also told people that praying isn't enough that we need to take actionsIf that is enough to get my account suspended that is like living in a autocrazy with censorshipI demand answers and explanation

Probably one of the worst businesses out thereNo customer serviceIMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT THEMIf a neighbor posts something on your business page, they don't do anything to fix it That is slander and it's illegalGuess who will end up in court one day? Nextdoor***, just cause it was easy to make an app/website/business.....don't mean you SHOULD haveLeave owning/operating a business to those of us who are competent and actually CARE about their customersSuch a joke, don't waste your time with this website

I sign up on nextdoor.*** to post about my Avon businessThen they blocked me cause my brother-in-law is on the sex orffer list and is not a threat to no one and has three kids of his ownMy your own dam business nextdoor

One of my racially intolerant neighbors filed a complaint with Nextdoor regarding my posts and Nextdoor, without any notification or explanation, suspended my accountWhen an account is suspended, the login page loops back to itself over and over again with NO feedback to the userAfter five days of attempting to access Nextdoor***, I emailed Nextdoor Support twice for assistanceThey wrote back saying my account was suspended because my preferred first name and legal last name was not my "real name." When requested, I provided my legal and prefer name to Nextdoor so my account could be reopenedInstead of this matter being concluded, Nextdoor did not think my preferred or legal name was appropriate for their website and instead suggested I use a completely different name (something they proposed from a Public Records search) which was MORE acceptable to Nextdoor and required NO additional documentation to be immediately added to my accountI researched the Nextdoor US Membership

*** *** came out to my house today they are very hard working respectable guys who I will look forward to using again and again Their phone number is *** If you are looking for a Landscaper

*** *** is a website that promotes getting recommendations from your neighborhoodI've been an active member for over years, and serve as a lead, which means I've generated multiple clients for them by work of mouthI created a business page with them in addition to my personal page, and I've been discriminated against over and over againMy business is to restore and beautify homes in my area, specifically ones in my neighborhoodPrior to me putting up my business page which explains that I'm a "flipper", I've never had any issuesI asked about a washer repair service a few months ago, and was told I'm soliciting my business and was taken down, again a few days ago I asked for a recommendation for any homes within our area that looked vacant, vandalized, or in bad shape, and I was willing to fix them in order to beautify our neighborhoodI do this all on my own dimeI cannot take down my business page and I wish I couldI'm now being told that asking to fix up homes t

The sponsorship I signed up for was for the neighborhoodWhen I found that the only people signed on to the neighborhood are people who lost their dog or want to complain about their neighbors, I attempted to deactivate my accountThey provided instructions, but the link they point to does not existI have changed my information to meaningless information, but NextDoor has saved my credit card information and I am unable to delete itI merely wish to cancel the account and delete the profiles, business and personal*** has been changed in the NextDoor App to *** (the latter email has been deleted from my domain to avoid constant spam)

I can't see a site being helpful for community policing, especially when neighbors don't do their part anyways, so social media for a neighborhood or any neighborhood in fayetteville, nc will never work This may work in tight-knit communities where people actually care, but social media? Stick to facebook and facebook has groups for this very thing that does not provide your address information to be shown to everyone in surrounding communities to be able to accessI guess many live in a perfect world with no pedophiles or sexual deviants around them I would rather they not know my name and address And, this can backfire allowing so much access to those around you that you haven't taken the time to get to know in person firstI wish people would stop relying so much on online methods for communication - there already so much distraction and a HUGE disconnection in humanity This does not bridge communities or bring people closer, if people assume so, they're delusional, but they can keep assuming soLastly, I've requested this site to remove my information completely and to no avail
