Review: They have called my workplace to try and get me to talk to them. Their number is not blocked on my cell phone, so I don't know why they're not calling that. They want me to pay my bill in full, but it costs too much. I can only pay a little bit at a time, but that seems to not be working since they keep tacking on overage fees and interest charges.Desired Settlement: I want them to stop contacting me, or else contact me on my cell phone. They should not be contacting my employer.

Review: I had a bill from the power company [redacted] that was tranferred to this company. The bill was around six hundred an some old dollars so I had spoke with agent that setup an autobill of fifty dollars every pay period. Then I receiced a letter stating I had thirty-two dollars left so I had called to see if the remainder balance could be waived as a courtesy and the agent was very nasty about the situation she was talking to me like I was her child and then I requested to speak with her manager and he got on the phone with an attitude as well, like I personally did something to him. Very Unprofessional and inconsiderate.Desired Settlement: I would like the remainder of the balance cleared.

Review: After applying to get pre-approved for a home loan I was informed that I have a collection account from nar on my 3 credit reports, I ordered my 3 credit reports and in fact this account was on all 3. I have no knowledge of this nor have I been contacted by AllianceOne, according to federal law all debt must be disclosed to an individual before any negative accounts are allowed to be reported to the credit bureaus, since I am unable to get a pre-approval this action from AllianceOne is causing me personal anguish as well as causing defamation of my character in society. they should not be allowed to ruin someones life and dreams with out first notifying them of a debt.Desired Settlement: I want AllianceOne to produce validation of this alleged debt by means of the fair credit reporting act including what the money you say I owe is for, copies of any papers that show I agreed to pay what you say I owe, identify the original creditor, proof that your company owns the debt (proof showing you are legally entitled to collect this particular debt from me) this is basic contract law, payment history to include my payment history with the original creditor what the amount of the debt was when the creditor assigned the debt to your company and what fees/ interest has been added onto the debt and how you/they determined these fees a copy of the original signed contract, loan agreement or credit card application also deletion of this account wit all 3 credit reporting bureaus.

Review: While in [redacted] several years ago, I rented a wheelchair for myself over the weekend. My granddaughter, [redacted], went and picked it up for me. When we went to use it, the feet part did not work and we were not able to use. When my granddaughter returned it, they said they would not charge. I contacted the credit card company and they removed the charge because the company did charge me. Then I received phone calls from a collection agency and when they looked down the history, they saw where there was not going to be a charge said the product was unusable. My daugher has contacted the collection agency and told them to correct the credit reports and to leave me alone, but it keeps showing up on my credit report and they have not responded to my daughter. By the way, I am 91 years old, and have paid my bills all my life. I certainly wouldn't walk away from $111 balance. I do want a letter of acknowledgement that they are removing this from my credit report.Desired Settlement: Letter stating removed from credit reports.

Review: I was recently notified of a late payment going into collections with Alliance One for $116 in reference to [redacted] County traffic violations. I believe [redacted] County may have notified the debt collection agency too quickly or someone failed to cross talk with representatives from Alliance One to inform them that payments have been made. I believe that Alliance One could be scamming innocent people. I paid the $116 to Alliance One and on July 17, 2013 I received a receipt with a zero balance. I also initiated an investigation into their practices with the Consumer Complaint Agency and on July 26th they officially censured Alliance One with a negative designation.

Alliance One never contacted me with evidence of an outstanding bill or any kind of proof. I was notified through my credit monitoring program. After talking with representatives from Alliance One it is clear they have not been communicating with representatives from [redacted] County and are likely reopening closed cases to prey on people who are attempting to clean up their credit records. I also believe that [redacted] County Red Light is intentially mailing out red late tickets late so they can add a late fee and send tickets to Alliance One.

I urge you to look into their actions and stop them from taking advantage of hard working Americans. I believe they are targeting people who have not received documented receipts from the Red Light office and have no paper trail. There could be a possibility that someone from the Red Light office is working with Alliance One and they could be receiving kick backs for helping them.Desired Settlement: I would like the negative or late payment of $116 to be removed from my credit report, I would like to see all of the receipts for tickets that I've asked for on countless occassions and I would like the $116 to be reimbursed.

Review: This company has called my home phone five (5) times in the past week & many, many times more in the past year. Many of the calls come in & then hang up. I have told their representatives at least twice in the last few months that I am not the person they are looking for nor do I know the party the are trying to contact. Apparently it goes no further than that. I am very tired of the abuse of my privacy & want it to stop.Desired Settlement: stop contacting me

Review: I have attempted many times to pay off my parking tickets that have been turned over to allianceone. The first time, when I called the day I got the notice I was told the pay-off number had gone up significantly from what was itemized in the statement. when I inquired what the additional charge was, I was told "This is what happens when you don't pay your bills" I asked to have a copy of the itemized charges sent to me so that I could understand what the charge was, they refused, I was asked to be transferred to a supervisor the person who picked up the phone proceed to yell "PAY YOUR BILLS" then hung up on me.

I received another notice, went to the website to make the payment, the system errored out as I submitted the payment. I attempted again and was told that I could not make 2 payments in 24hr and to call. I called was told that I had only made a partial payment ( I have no real idea what I paid or did not pay online since I have no receipt, email or confirmation showing me the amount paid). I attempted to pay the remaining balance over the phone, I was told I would then be charged an additional $10 service fee for the second payment. I told them they need to waive the $10 fee, since I had just paid the fee moments ago when their system crashed and the showed that the fee had been paid. I explained I have already paid the feel and their system failed and I should not have to pay the fee. They said if I wanted to pay I needed to pay the fee a second time. I requested to be transferred to a supervisor. The supervisor confirmed that the system had failed, that only a partial payment had been received, that I had already paid the transaction fee but refused to waive the fee. I requested to speak to her supervisor - she told me no one was available and they wouldn't help me anyways. I continue to demand her supervisor, I had to ask multiple times for his name, she finally relented and said "Todd" I then had to ask again multiple times for his last name again she sighed said "fine... A[redacted]". She proceeded to rattle off his direct number at a rate that would not be possible to write down. I had to ask her to repeat it multiple times.

I would like to pay this bill and they are making it near impossible for me to clear this debt. Due to their system error I do not believe I should have to pay double service charges. Their system showed that only moments ago I made a payment and I paid the service charge. I would like proof of my payment. I never recieved a confirmation page, transaction number or a receipt. I was told they could not send me a receipt. I have no way of proving I made a payment.Desired Settlement: I want a receipt

I want to be able to pay the balance without the additional transaction fee

I want an apology for the rude treatment

October 23, 2014Dear [redacted]:I am writing in response to the concerns expressed to your office by [redacted] on October 14, 2014. I appreciate the opportunity to respond on behalf of AllianceOne Receivables Management, Inc.[redacted] states in her complaint that she has attempted on several occasions to pay off her tickets, that she contacted AllianceOne and was given a payoff amount larger than the statement she received. She inquired why the amount had increased and states that the agent was unprofessional. When she went to the AllianceOne website to pay her account the system displayed an error and when she tried to pay over the phone she was informed that there would be an additional fee of $10.00. She believes due to the unprofessional behavior of the agent and the system issues she experienced that she should not be charged the $10.00 processing fee.AllianceOne was referred 4 accounts. Please refer to the table below:[redacted] attempted to pay her accounts on line via our on line payment portal. She intended to pay all accounts, but due to an error on the portal she was not sure if her payment was processed properly. She was informed that only one account had been paid through her recent transaction. [redacted] was unwilling to pay another processing fee. She was informed of free payment options available to her by our agent. Our agent informed her that they were not able to waive the processing fee, and [redacted] requested that she speak with a supervisor. She was transferred to a supervisor who also informed [redacted] that the processing fee could not be waived.Upon receipt of [redacted]’s complaint I requested that a supervisor reach out to her and waive the processing fee, and she paid the remaining open accounts.I understand the concerns expressed in [redacted]’s complaint. AllianceOne strives to maintain a positive image among the collection agency industry by training our associates to be professional and courteous at all times. In addition, our collection associates are trained to follow and adhere to FDCPA regulations and specific state laws. AllianceOne does not condone or tolerate any harassing actions by our associates. Upon review of the call it was determined that the first supervisor should have waived the processing fee since [redacted] had stated the site produced an error and she was not sure if her payment had been processed properly. We did not find that our agent was unprofessional at any time during the call. We have coached the agent and initial supervisor contact that in the future given the same situation we should waive the processing fee. Please allow me to assure you that this matter has been addressed with our agents. We strive to provide a positive customer experience while resolving account concerns and we thank you for bringing [redacted]’s issues to our attention. Review: In April 2013, I received a collection notice from Alliance One.

I promptly sent them a validation of debt and cease and desist all communication letter.

On 5/7/2013, I filed for Bankruptcy and Alliance One was listed in the Bankruptcy and provided notification.

On 5/14/2013, even though Alliance One has received a cease and desist AND I am protected by the bankruptcy automatic stay, Alliance One mailed a letter continuing collection efforts and telling me to call to resolve this matter.

On 6/10/2013, Alliance One again mailed another collection letter, even though they have been sent a cease and desist and I am still protected by the bankruptcy automatic stay.

These actions are a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Specifically, continuing collection when they are notified in writing to cease and desist.Desired Settlement: I would immediately like the company to cease and desist ALL collection activity.

In addition, pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, I would like a settlement of $1,000 cash for the violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act by not honoring the cease and desist order.

Review: At the beginning of the year, I was waiting for my state tax return. It was intercepted by Alliance One for a balance they stated I owed from an unpaid ticket. The company sent me a copy of ticket from 2011 (through email) and I still question the validity of their collection efforts. My response as of July 9th was as follows:

Good morning,

This ticket, the fine and the suspension the DMV tried to enforce, were lifted. I have been to the court recently for separate matters and have not been made aware of any fees owed to them for this alleged ticket (and I had them check their system thoroughly).

Sending me a copy of a ticket does not provide proof that you are allowed by law to collect. I want my $177.43 refunded to me immediately and this debt to no longer attempted to be collected on, or, I want you to verify the validity of your collection efforts with documentation saying that you have the right to collect on behalf of the court/state.

If one of these does not happen, I will have no other option than to seek legal guidance. In the meantime, I have filed a formal complaint with the Revdex.com and have started collecting information from public foru** to prove your negligence.

Thank youDesired Settlement: I would like my $177.43 refunded to me, the company to cease all collection efforts and for this to be considered taken care of and case closed.

Review: I have been working with my mortgage officer to try and refinance my home. During this process it was brought to my attention a few collections through Alliance One. I called alliance one on April 12, 2013 and spoke to [redacted]. As I spoke to [redacted] I found out what the collections were for and also that they did not have any of my updated information. They had my address that I had not lived in for years nor did they have my correct telephone number. I left that home address years ago due to my divorce. When I explained to him that I had not received any bill for the collections or any notification I asked if I paid them if they could be deleted from my credit report. He told me I would have to speak to a supervisor. He put a note in the system that someone was to call me back on or before April 15, 2013. I did not hear from anyone so on April 19, 2013 I called back and spoke to [redacted] I asked the same questions and concerns and again tried to speak to a supervisor. She indicated that they had a staff meeting and could not connect me with anyone but again would put a note in the system. Later in the afternoon on April 19, 2013 I called again and spoke to [redacted]. again explaining the situation. During this conversation she stated I would have to speak to a supervisor to delete the account but first I had to pay the account to speak to anyone. I paid the total balance owed of $376.00, which was three different collections. I was then patched through to a supervisor. While explaining the situation I was told “ it was illegal to delete my account according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act" The supervisor again stated it was against the law and she would not and could not delete the account. That statement in itself, is actually a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I explained that I tried to speak to a supervisor but was told I needed to pay prior to that. It seemed sensiable since it was so difficult trying to speak to a supervisor. I also throughly explained how I never received anything for any of the collections and that I had to give them my current address and telephone number. She just kept saying it was against the law and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. But like I stated prior that in itself is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.Desired Settlement: I would like the accounts deleted from my credit report.

Review: AllianceOne has repeatedly posted negative entries on my credit history despite the fact that I have previously contested the entries successfully, and informed them that the person they seek is someone else with a like or similar name. Today, I found 4 erroneous entries from AllianceOne on my [redacted] credit history.Desired Settlement: I want AllianceOne to remove all entries they have posted to my credit history and to refrain from posting erroneous entries on my history in the future. I also request acknowledgment in writing of their willingness to comply with this request sent to my mailing address.

Review: Calls multiple times per week for person with same last name but NEVER associated with MY phone number. Returned Call and person on the other end pretends she could not understand English or my demand to be removed from their contact list. This is a robot call with NO means to be automatically removed from their list. A quick Google search proves this to be a common complaint against this number and group. I informed them this number is listed on BOTH the Tennessee and Federal do not call lists and I DO NOT do business with them, nor will I ever do business with them.Desired Settlement: They are to stop calling MY number and remove it from all of their records with the understanding that ALL further calls constitute an agreement with me for MY services that are billable at my current customary rates and fees. The registrant is liable for a fine, currently $50.00, plus a Driver Responsibility Fee of $30. An imposition of liability shall not be deemed a conviction and shall not be made part of the operating record of the person upon whom such liability is imposed nor shall it be used for insurance purposes. Failure to pay the fine or request a hearing by the due date will be considered an admission of liability, and a default judgment may be entered against you and may result in an additional $25 penalty. THIS FINE IS NOT SUBJECT TO ANY DISCRETIONARY REDUCTIONS. The registrant can be held liable even if he/she was not the driver of the vehicle at the time of the violation.” [redacted] did not request a hearing and as such under New York Law is responsible for the amounts regardless of who was driving the vehicle. We strive to provide a positive customer experience while resolving account concerns and we thank you for bringing [redacted]’s issues to our attention. Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I have attached a letter I received for full payment where I was promised by operator at Alliance One that derogatory credit would be removed on both accounts. Please confirm acceptance. I never received those notices, and disputed the derogatory reports with credit bureaus. I paid in full as seen below just to settle this nonsense. Please confirm complete removal of negative credit report to proceed

Review: A representative by the name of Billy G[redacted] ( If this is the reps real name) called my place of employment and I made him aware to not call my employer again. He became very rude to me and started raising his voice to the point I had to hang up. My place of employment is nothing but open space and I didn't have any privacy while taking this business call. I was trying to get his information so I could have called him back when I got off of work but he only gave his name then proceeded to talk over me(that's when I hung up). Mr.G[redacted] did not know who he was speaking with when he called,I know this because I was the one who answered the phone. He was rude from the beginning and he did not directly ask for who he wanted to speak with. Thank goodness I am the one who answered the phone and not another worker. I feel like he violated my privacy rights by calling my job and he was very rude.

This phone call has interrupted my work and put me behind.Desired Settlement: To only reach me by mail. Do not contact me at my job ###-###-#### or ###-###-####. I do not have a problem with communicating and to avoid any rudeness and stress I would rather do it via mail or even email [redacted].

Thanks for your help with this matter!

Review: This company calls me an average of once every three hours for a person that I do not know. I have maintained the same phone number for 14 years and it has not changed, and I do not know the person they keep asking for. I keep telling them this and they refuse to stop calling. When I ask to speak to a manager they hang up on me. I finally put a trace on my phone and called them to get the company name and phone number and spoke to someone. They said if I would just let them talk to whoever this person is, they would stop calling. I have filed complaints with the FCC and the do not call registry and they still keep calling for a non-existent person. When I confronted them about bad practices as a collection agency, they denied being a collection agency. When I told them I have the phone report telling me who they are, they said the report is wrong.

This is my phone, and I pay for it. I do not want it littered with calls from some collection company to a person that I have no idea about.Desired Settlement: I want them to stop calling me. They refuse to acknowledge who they are when they do call, and only say it is a matter between them and the person they are trying to reach. I am tired of telling them the same thing over and over again.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: This company never contacted me regarding this collection. I was under the impression that a collection company was required to contact you and you were allowed 30 days to respond to a collection before it started report on your credit report. I was never given this opportunity as I was never contacted by this collection company. I have disputed this collection and it has been removed off my reports but this company continues to report and I have yet to be contacted.Desired Settlement: I'd like this company to stop reporting to the credit companies as they never contacted me regarding this collection giving me the chance to respond. This is negatively affecting my credit scores. I've disputed this collection and it was removed yet this company continues to report and has never contacted me.
