Allied First Bank Reviews (311)

Our Loan Officer, Tia, was the best! She was very personable and easy to work with. I felt like she kept me informed of what was going on throughout the process and if anything changed, she was calling or emailing me to make sure we understood and were on-board. I was very pleased with her customer service and professionalism throughout the whole process.

They wasted 2 months of our lives, lied to us, and came back with figures so far off their from their original quote that it wasn't even funny! Very unprofessional, I would never recommend this company to anyone and if they are willing to do this to an honorably discharged disabled vet, I can only imagine what they would do to you?

William [redacted] was our loan officer. He was extremely professional and thorough with answers to questions or concerns. He was able to complete our loan in a very timely manner and offer assistance whenever needed. We would and have referred a potential client to him because of his work ethic and ability to provide excellent service.

I worked with Troy [redacted], he was amazing. He followed through on everything we discussed, got be the best offer possible and was always available to answer any questions I had...great experience.

Great work by William [redacted]

I can't say enough about the positive experience I had with Allied First Bank, specifically, William [redacted] Senior Loan Officer. I was looking into refinancing my VA home loan, emailed Allied First Bank to inquire about it. Within a matter of minutes, William emailed me back and then I called to speak with him. He is so professional, very knowledgeable and very patient in answering all my questions. This was the fastest, easiest loan I have ever applied for and I credit William for getting it done. I feel he did more than expected and he reflects what his bank stands for. I wish to nominate Allied First Bank for the Revdex.com "Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics."

Tia [redacted] and Ric [redacted] were exceptionally helpful as well as informed. We certainly appreciated their assistance throughout the application process

My refinance loan officer Darrell [redacted] was a joy to work with. He was very professional and helpful throughout the whole process. I have recommended him to friends and family who also were very pleased with his service.
Thanks Darrell!

I found Allied First Bank and several other mortgage refinance brokers through a web search. Ultimately, I decided to go to Allied First Bank because they were the most professional bank and worked the hardest to get me the lowest rate possible. The entire process took around a month and I could not be happier with my current loan terms. The loan officer, A[redacted] "Jessee" [redacted] was always available to take my calls and answer any questions I had. I highly recommend working with Allied First Bank and Mr. B[redacted] to anyone thinking about refinancing their load.

I worked with Tia from Allied First Bank on two separate mortgages. Throughout the entire process, she kept me up to date on what was going on behind the scenes, what documentation was needed, what to expect, and next steps in the process. She even worked late into the night and returned my calls and emails on the weekends. Both loans ended up closing on time, and I would highly recommend Tia and Allied First.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
[redacted] response is rejected because the mess that [redacted] created by not disclosing VA's decision to us and not responding to our inquiry for an explanation about it created "two" late payments which amounted to $62.28.  On 8-19-2016, [redacted] told us that the loan "may" have to be shortened.  May is not "is".  We asked for an explanation the same day but received "no reply" from him.  It was within [redacted] ability to disclose the "reason" the loan "may have to be shortened", and if he didn't know at that point in time, then it was within in his power and his "ultimate obligation to the consumer" to find out the VA's decision and tell us (answer our direct question from 8-19-2016).  Had he disclosed to us the reason that the loan "may have to be shortened" we would have told him to cancel the refinance.  We did have that right.  He took that right away from us by not responding to our inquiry and disclosing the truth.  We didn't hear from [redacted] again until 9-7-2016, when we emailed him to ask where we were in the refi process.  We still never received disclosure for the shortening of the loan.  We never received that explanation until we started letters of complaint about his actions.  That was on 9-10-2016, when he told us in an email: "per VA you were not saving enough on a 30-year loan to warrant the cost for the rate.  Therefore shortening the term met the VA recoup benefit."  That should have been disclosed to us nearly one month prior and we should not have had to complain to discover disclosure on the VA's decision.  Whether a broker or the loan originator, he was obligated under Federal law to disclose the facts to us.  He neglected to do so.  Those facts were vital in our decision whether we wanted to continue with the loan or cancel.

Things would never have escalated to what they did were it not for [redacted] non-disclosure.  And whether it was on purpose because he didn't want to lose out on this opportunity or whether by just pure neglect, we, as consumers, were legally owed disclosure of the VA's finding in August when he was told the terms "may" change.  He was told on 7-19-2016 that we did not want our payments to rise; we have the emails to prove it.  As a "broker" he is required by law to not only "provide 'accurate' and timely 'disclosures' to the borrower" but also to "provide a borrower with accurate and 'timely information' and documents 'in response to the borrower's request for information with respect to the borrower's mortgage loan'".

This entire situation would not have occurred had [redacted] disclosed the VA's decision to us and responded promptly to our request for that information.  It never would have proceeded to the disclosure stage had he been honest and done his job correctly.  We were duped by this broker.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Allied first's Jessie [redacted] was a pleasure to work with. He was very professional, informative and worked very hard at getting us the rate we wanted. He returned all my calls in a timely matter and after we closed still took care of any questions I had. I would recommend him to anyone I knew looking to refinance a mortgage.
Sincerely,
Mike [redacted]

We had an exceptional experience with Allied First Bank. Just closed on our refi with a much lower rate and couldn't be happier. Highly recommend this institution.

Thanks to Douglas [redacted] and Ashley for the outstanding service they provided during my recent refinancing. They answered all my questions quickly and accurately and made the process go much quicker than I had expected

This was a very quick and easy refinance. William [redacted] and his staff/associates were all professional and helpful at all times.

Craig [redacted] has performed multiple home purchases and refinances for my husband and me. His service and communication is extraordinary, as is Ashley [redacted] his processor. I know I'm in good hands with these two. They take the difficulty out of buying and refinancing, making it easier to purchase or refinance a home.

Revdex.com:

I wanted to take a moment to submit a positive experience I had with Allied First Bank as I recently completed a mortgage refinance through them. My loan officer, Michael [redacted] was awesome to work with. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and kept me informed every step of the way. He made the transaction very easy for me. The loan processor, Ashley [redacted] also did a great job and was very quick to complete tasks associated with my loan.

I would highly recommend Michael, Ashley, and Allied First Bank to anyone in market to refinance or purchase a home.

Sincerely,

Loren [redacted]
