I have been a loyal American Disposal customer for the past 3 1/2 years. I moved 4 months ago and just paid my first received invoice since moving and few days later I received a much larger invoice with a large past due balance. I was confused and contacted them right away. The Customer service rep I spoke with was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, I can not say the same thing about her supervisor. To start, they said they never received any payment from me. I sent the bill I received and my bank statement that showed I paid American Disposal on a certain date the same amount that was on the statement. Her supervisor said that my bank statement was not proof of payment (really?). Then I was told that this was the old account from which I moved from 4 months prior and they now see my payment. I am not sure why I was billed for this 4 months after I transferred my service, but I was and it was the only bill I have received since moving with the exception of my large bill with a past due balance. Both myself and the customer service rep understood the confusion. I asked if my account could be noted that I will pay the FULL balance in a week and a half as I am on a tight budget and am paid every 2 weeks. Remember...I thought I had paid the bill a week ago. After 3 1/2 years of being a loyal customer and paying my bill and even though there was obvious confusion with this entire situation (on my end and theirs) the supervisor would not note my account and my service will be canceled within a week. My past job position was a customer service supervisor and I currently work as the director of operations. I would never myself or allow my staff to do anything less than go above and beyond for our customers. We know, without our customers there is no company. I am appalled and so disappointed with the treatment from my sanitation company that I have used for this many years.

With the caveat that the account is actually closed and I am no longer subject to collection calls or any negative credit issues.

Dear Ms.
 Jackson,
I have reviewed
the complaint submitted to you by [redacted].  [redacted] signed a one
year service agreement with American Disposal on July 13, 2015 with service to
begin on October 1, 2015. The contract clearly states the following...

“Buyers
Right to Cancel” on the front page of the contract, not far from where the customer
signed.  “The buyer may cancel this transaction at any time prior to
midnight on the third business day after the date of this transaction. If
buyer chooses to cancel service after the third business day, buyer understands
they are obliged to pay the agreement for the one year time period.“
Furthermore, I
reviewed the phone call and found our representative only advised them of the
policy regarding cancellation and was very professional.
As a courtesy I
can reduce the charge to a six month period instead of the full year.

I am rejecting this response because:the entire statement is false. My wife never contradicted me. In outlining which can was taken, I identified which cans were STILL present, which included a can that was on the premises. Almost a year later, they come back with these details that in our notes are reflected as false. Unbelievable. We will never do business with this company and will regularly let social media reflect this. Whatever happened to the customer is always right...what would it have cost them to replace a can?...now they have lost our business and our neighbors business.

I have reviewed the complaint in question.  We have removed the $100.00 cart charge and the $20.00 administrative / operations processing fee.  The amount left due on the account is $27.49.  Services were billed for Dec'11 - Jan'12 - Feb'12 -...

Services were cancelled 1/31/12 leaving the balance owed of $27.49.

First and foremost, I would
like to apologize you were given incorrect information when you contacted us.
 I hope this will clear up...

any confusion and give you a better
understanding of our process.
It takes 10 business days
from the date the payment is posted to an account before we can begin the
process of refunding the funds. This is a bank recommended timeline
to ensure the money is not returned for insufficient funds or that a stop
payment is not placed on the payment by the customer.  Once it has been 10
 business days, we begin the refund process and send the information to
our  accounting department for approval.  We work with [redacted] so the funds can be refunded directly back into your bank
account.  Unfortunately, after we approve the refund through [redacted],
the funds need to be released by a third party, and this could take up to
another 10 - 15 business days. Unfortunately this is  the process we must
follow and we cannot modify it. 
We are charged $5.00 by our
bank for refunds, therefore this charge is passed along to you.  I
will refund your credit card back the $5.00 as a courtesy.

Thank you for the corrected bill for my records.  I continue to get letters from the collections agency and they advised your company has not communicated with them to let them know I never owed the debt.  Please contact this agency and provide a letter releasing me from responsibility.  I have contacted them and they would not help me, they said it had to come directly from the trash company.  Please note I have to keep these documents on file the rest of my life to defend in case it shows up on my credit.  That is extremely frustrating since the company is at fault but would not help me for months, until I contacted the Revdex.com.  Please provide the last piece of documentation from the collections agency so we can put this issue to rest.
