I am rejecting this response because: There is no other explanation as to where the battery went.  At the same time the battery was picked up, the trash and an old patio chair were also picket up. My son could hear the truck in the neighborhood.   Of course the company would deny picking up hazmat!  Of course their drivers would deny breaking the rules!    As a long term customer, I had no idea that I would be treated as if I was lying.   Looking at [redacted] and other sites, this company has a reputation for being terrible with customer service.  I am still out money because I had to buy another battery.  Why is it that the word of the trash company carries more weight than mine?  Why would I lie about this?

When we started our business and signed our contracts nowhere in there was anything about a 5 year contract with the disposal company and definitely not a mention of a cancelation fee. Nowhere in anything we signed says that we agreed to this contract so, simply because the previous tenant signed a contract does not make us liable in any way for this even if there is a proration clause.

After reviewing the account, it appears that we attempted several times to remove the equipment from the address of [redacted] after services were terminated. Although we were unable to retrieve the containers, we are willing to remove the charges for the unreturned trash...

and recycling carts. Because [redacted] attempted to continue service at her new home, but we were unable to do so, we will also remove the remaining $15.00 balance on the account.An updated invoice will be sent reflecting these corrections to her account.
