Review: I purchased a turn signal switch for my 1989 Ford Mustang GT. The online ad stated that the part was for all 87-93 models. I have a recent email with that information. I also spoke with a representative before I placed the order. After receiving the part, I paid my mechanic to install it. It did not work because it was not compatible for my car. I contacted American muscle, and they admitted that they made a mistake. That the ad was wrong and the part did not in fact fit my car. They agreed to give me a refund and also refund my cost for paying my mechanic to install the incorrect part. After stalling and delaying they did give a refund for the part, but refuse to refund the cost of the attempted repair. I spoke with [redacted] in customer service and he agreed to give me a total refund. Then he phoned me and told me they could only offer me a store credit. The amount in question in $80.00 I do not want a store credit and no longer want to do business with this company.Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded the money I spent, to find out american muscle's error and false advertisement.

I ordered a carbon fiber drive shaft on last Thursday 04/02 and received an aluminum drive shaft instead on friday 04/03. They were quick to give me a return slip to have me return the wrong shaft but I am yet to receive the drive shaft I ordered which was over a grand.
People please understand I know that it only take a few minutes to inspect a drive shaft see it is carbon fiber and ship it out, it should not take nearly a week so far to ship out the item. All I am told by the agents are that the supervisor has contacted the warehouse and haven't received a reply, and when I ask to speak to one they say, why task them for something they already did.
Best believe I plan to not order from them again considering the trouble they cause for what should be a simple process.

Review: After buying a drive shaft from American muscle I was ecstatic about getting it install, I got the drive shaft shop one piece aluminum shaft on Black Friday and had it installed before Christmas. It wasn't until after installing it that we had found an issue. A possible broken weld inside of the drive shaft was causing very concerning noises and a very uncomfortable ride. After contacting American muscle I was told I would be receiving a slightly cheaper drive shaft made by "the axle exchange" (due to the one that I had originally ordered being out of stock for nearly another month). Upon installation we found an issue and decided to call the manufacturer and at that point, with the car on the lift and disassembled at my local ford dealership, we found out that they sent me the wrong shaft. After calling American muscle and explaining the issue they agreed to send another drive shaft but said they would have to dispute the refund on the multiple installs that I had paid out of pocket. After a day American muscle called me back and basically told me they would partially refund me for 1 of 3 installs and send me a new shaft. Either way I am out $400 because of their mistake and no better resolution has been offered. I have been on the phone at least 4 times with the same person who continues to tell me that he is FIGHTING and pleading my case yet the best they can do is partially refund me for a small portion of what I've lost.Desired Settlement: the original purchase price of the drive shaft was $740. to this date (1-23-2014) I have spent $400 in installing the drive shafts I have been sent. At this point the only outcomes I would willingly accept are 2 refunds, one for the 250 I paid yesterday to have the wrong drive shaft installed and a second refund for the price of the next install which will hopefully be the right drive shaft.

The second resolution would be to exchange my order with the Drive shaft shop one piece carbon fiber shaft and I will take the hit on all install fees. since I have already paid nearly $1200 for the drive shaft and multiple installs, I feel that is a fair solution.

We also understand the replacement you got since the orginal one you ordered was out of stock was not what you thought it would be, so we allowed you to drive on and than return it once your orginal ordered item comes back in stock. Again this is something we normally do not do, when you return this drive shaft it will be no use to us we can't sell it or return it to the vendor, but we wanted to help you out. We also offered that you keep the drive shaft in your car not for a discounted price and we would still credit you back for one install fee. We are trying our best to work with you on this issue and want to help you. We are willing to work with you but we cannot cover all your labor fees, please let me know what you would like to do.

Review: Placed an order with AM in March for [redacted] Heat Shield - 50th Anniversary Logo ([redacted]). Waited over a week for product and upon receiving product they had sent [redacted] Heat Shield - [redacted] Logo ([redacted]). I sent back the wrong one and they reshipped the product, which took two weeks, and I again received the [redacted] Heat Shield - [redacted] Logo ([redacted]). I called AM and they apologized and said that the product that I wanted was out of stock and that when they receive more (which would take a month) they would contact me and send it right away. In late May, after not hearing from them for two months, I called back and the sales rep said they would get more in stock between May 30th and June 5th and they would send out the product. I still have not heard from anyone and it has now been three months. Every time I have called they said they have taken my information but I every time I call I have to repeat the entire story to the reps I have spoken with on the phone. I also received an automated email on May 30th saying they had more in stock but no one bothered to call and ship it out.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the product I ordered back in March and/or would like a complete refund for the order.

Review: I purchased a 20128 Pypes Black Pype-Bomb Axle-Back Exhaust (11-14 V6) back on August 10,2013. I was told that this product would be a perfect fit for my specific vehicle. I received the product and paid a car shop to have the product installed. The only problem is that the product was very hard to put in even though it should have been a easy installation job. Finally they install the product and it was good for a few days without a noise. I go back the Second time with a problem with the mufflers. One reason is because they shifted because the size of the product was wrong and wasn't staying in place. Second reason I went back is because they would rattle and shake. The mechanic tried to shift them back into place and had to place a piece of rubber from making it rattle (which shouldn't have had to be put on if the product was the right size and perfect fit like it said on AMERICANMUSCLE.COM). Now I am back at the shop for a 3rd time to see if they can fix the problem because I would just be sitting there in my vehicle and you can hear the shaking and the rattling of the product. The noise was so bad that other people driving would hear it rattle. So I went back to the shop and once again they try to fix the problem but they finally said that they can't do anything else due to the product because wrong which was false information from the website that this product should have fit into my vehicle. Now I am out of a purchase of the product and an installation fee. I do not think it is right to have to pay another mechanic to fix a problem over and over again. Order: #[redacted]Desired Settlement: I am just asking for either a replacement of a new product that will fit or a better product that will definitely fit into my vehicle as a courtesy for me to purchase a product, pay extra for shipping, and installation fee that I had to pay to install and fix the problem.

Review: Sept 2013 I ordered one (1) Quarter Window Louver and one (1) front lower grille. I ordered these items as a gift for someone who at the time I was in a relationship with. I had the order mailed directly to the recipients home in south Florida, where my billing address and home of record was in central Illinois. I paid with my credit card online. The individual and I parted ways not long after I placed the online order. Over 8 months later, I received an email stating that the weight of the package long after the fact, had a higher ship weight than what should have been in the box and that they are billing me $239 if the additional items were not sent back. I did not receive the items, do not have them and am being accused of having additional parts and being billed because my credit card was on file.

The first week of June 2014 I contacted customer service and was passed through to management. Manager explained that he would attempt to reach out to the recipient per their address and info on file from previous orders and call me back. I explained this was a gift, I have no information on additional items. I asked how they know they sent extra parts and he told me, "due to the weight." I explained I was away at the Army Drill Sergeant school but call me any time of the day. I never received any communication from the company.

Bottom line, the company accessed my credit card info 8 months after I made a purchase. I didn't receive additional items nor did I authorize money to be withdrawn from my account. I feel like my privacy has been violated, that my credit card information is not safe and that my hard earned money has been stolen from me.Desired Settlement: To refund the full amount withdrawn from my bank account for the additional parts that I did not receive.

Review: I purchased an item that does not fit my vehicle. I've had a mechanic attempt to install it as well. This was at a cost for me. This company requested I have images taken of the wheels off the car. I told them this would be at a cost to me again. I have sent three e-mails and left a voice message and to this point. My e-mails included pictures of the part not fitting. They have not responded. My latest e-mail stated that they were to contact me before 12 noon today and no reply.

I have ordered thousands of dollars in parts from this firm and find not returning e-mails or phone calls to deal with this issue is totally unacceptable.

Now, I have two invoices for initially installing this part that does not fit and another invoice so I can do what they asked and that was to take pictures of the wheels off the car.Desired Settlement: I would like to return this item to them with no shipping costs to myself because of their error and my $ 50.00 paid for having the wheels removed at their request. I would like to receive a refund for the purchase cost of this item.

Review: I had been bought 2 fr500 black/chrome 18x9 and an 18x10 for fathers day I bought another on my own an 18x9 . American muscle then tells me they discontinued them .I asked if I could return them the rep says yes so I gave him my information the 2 that were gifts were still in original boxes unopened I tell the rep the numbers off of box he says great just print labels off and send them to us we will contact you if theres any problems 2 weeks goes by and I decide to call them they say well we kept your credit card on file and we credited you 169.99 whatever card number it was wasn't mine and they credited the other 2 wheels to another person lol wow they all came from my house my mailing labels they sent me they tell me to track down the lender for the 169.99 and theyd give me a hundred dollar credit lol can you replace to new fr500 wheels for a hundred I think notDesired Settlement: I want my wheels replaced like you said or I would like my money so I can go else where to get my wheels

Review: On 27DEC13, I placed an order for Item #[redacted], [redacted] Axle-Back Exhaust (05-10 GT, [redacted]) at the clearancd price of $64.99. Original price was $403.99. Website showed "You Save 84% ($339.00)". So, I ordered the item and shortly after received an out of stock email indicating that the item was currently out of stock and was expected to be in stock in 2-3 weeks and would ship then. Shortly after that, I received a credit email for my purchase price. I contacted American Muscle and they told me that they credited me my money back because they made an error in the price. I told them that was an error on their part and they should honor their mistake. They told me they don't have to. I asked if they have a disclaimer on their website stating they are not liable for pricing errors. I then asked to speak with a supervisor and was transferred to a supervisor named Michael. He stated under the "Ordering" section of their website, there is a statement indicating they can cancel an order at any time without notice. This is non-specific to price advertising and I feel that this clearance price should've been honored. It hasbeen two hours now that I have been off the phone with American Muscle and their website still shows thexe exhaust pipes on clearance at the price of $64.99. This price was on the website from when I first saw it on 26DEC13 to when I am initiating this complaint at 11:58 a.m on 27DEC13. I placed the order on-line at approximately 7 a.m. 27DEC13 and spoke with a representative and a supervisor at American Muscle at approximately 10:45 am, 27DEC13 and as of noon today, the pricing is still showing $64.99. Their disclaimer does not cover pricing, therefore, they should honor this price.Desired Settlement: Honor the pricing of $64.99.

Website description "[redacted] stainless steel axle back muffler delete kit for your 05-10 [redacted]. Includes tips." Website picture shows shiny pips and tips. When box opened found cheaper 409 stainless pipes with [redacted] tips. Instruction sheet states "[redacted]: 2005-07 ** 409 Stainless Axle-back Muffler Delete, 4"tip. Called company, says its a mistake, I say it's misrepresentation packaging poor quality substitute in high quality bow with same part #. I have copies of website descriptions and box label.Desired Settlement: Fair settlement would be for company to bend up two new short pipes (eachonly 30" long with 2 shallow bends.) in the advertised [redacted] stainless steel piping which they do stock and send them to distributor for inspection and shipment to Me with return of defective product at no charge. I will include both tips which I would not use anyway with no tips sent out from them. I always planned on buying different tips. Company would be wise to reword the website description, distributor will SAP.

I have reviewed the response made by the distributor of the faulty product sent to them by the [redacted] company in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is overly generous to me. American Muscle is a class organization that unfortunately was lied to by the [redacted] company. [redacted] knowingly changed their product to a low grade material but kept the inflated price, the incorrect labeling of the boxes, the incorrect specifications and descriptions of said product for the past 2 years. [redacted] company does not care about Me, past and future customers, American Muscle or probably any other distributors of their product. American Muscle stepped up, [redacted] threw them under the bus. Please display American Muscle as a model company and [redacted] as the dishonest company they strive to be!
