The absolute worst company to deal with DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Not only is their service not reliable (one serviceman refused to fill the tank because there was some dog poop on the lawn, not even close to the buried tank) but then they charged us extra because he had to come back Don't even get me started with the tank rental charge We originally signed up with People's Gas years ago which was bought by AmeriGas about years ago There was no tank rental charge with People's GasAmeriGas charges $in advance for the following year! When I told them I was moving and not to fill the tank, they did anyway and charged me $ When I tried to pay only the months on the tank rental for the time period I would be there, they wouldn't let me prorate it I did anyway They charged me an additional $late fee The worst part about this company is their customer service They act like they are a debt collection agency and that you are a deadbeat

We have had ongoing issues with this company since we purchased our home in our neighborhood First this company was selected by the builder not the homeowners We went through a period where we were not receiving bills from the company for months, when the bills did come there were mostly late charges of $which were higher than the bill itself Within the last month we have paid them $for what they call past due bills This company over a year ago went from the preferred rate on all of their customers to the commercial rate and our bill went from $to $ This is partly why we have paid them $recently The last bill they sent was for over $for one month, and today they shut it off and left a note on the door This company has the monopoly because we cant just turn them off and get *** Something has to be done to stop this business from overbilling people like this This is a total rip off and this is also happening to all of the peo

Because of the high price of the gas at this time, I ordered gallons since we are both on social security as our means of income Our tank was filled with over gallons I am told there is nothing they can do but put us on a payment plan I was told by customer service that they would talk to management & get back to me There was never a return phone call The 3rd time I called I asked that my name & phone number be given to the district manager To date, I still have not been called I feel that because this was their error, I should be charged the new customer rate for the gallons I received in error This was their mistake & I have been a customer for years and I think the company should resolve this issue with some compensation We have been very satisfied with their service until now

AmeriGas removed a propane tank from my property and damaged my deck in the process of the removal

I am on automatic delivery I live in Hemlock Farms Community and was extended the Community Rate for delivery in the past as were the prior owners, which adds up to over years as being a customer On 11/19/propane was delivered automatically The next day I received a call from the Honesdale office in PA advising me that I recently had a delivery and if I had any questions to call The bill reflected the amount of $per gallon I called as I have done in the past to have the bill adjusted to the community rate Did not have a problem in the past and the bill was adjusted This time they refused to adjust the bill My prior bills reflect an amount of about $- $ I was never notified before delivery that they would be increasing my rate to $which I find disturbing I am attempting to negotiate to a community rate of $on this particular bill The Honesdale Office is absolutely refusing and reading me the riot act about what they can do if I don't pay this $amount I am sending in payment on this 10/19/delivery and adjusting it to the $in an effort to resolve this matter and prevent the company to put a lock on my tank We are a family of four, three of which are senior citizens, with one being years old Before actually filing a formal complaint, I want to see if they will accept payment at the $community rate instead of causing me problems with refusing to pay the ridiculous amount of $ If this becomes not acceptable to Amerigas, I will be making a formal complaint to the Revdex.com

I was with surborn propane and they told me the tank I owned was leaking so I rented their tank and I wanted to switch to amerigas so I told amerigas my own tank was leaking they came out checked it in January and certified that there were no leeks and filled my tankand moved the surborn propane tank out of the way, how ever my tank is still leeking from the same place I told them about I do not know how long it has been leeking because if you are not right next to it you cant not hear or smell it , so now I have called them about it and they are sending someone out to look at it for a fee plus what ever fees it takes to fix it including maybe having to remove my tank all together I made them very aware I do not have the money to pay them when I had told them about the problem befor they even filled it and now I am even out the propane I payed for that has leeked out I have a family of with kids I am disabled and can not afford their mistakes or to be with out propane

On October 13, 2017, we switched propane companies from Amerigas to another companyWe have contacted the company on several occasions to remove their old tank, but we are given various excuses as to why they cannot remove the tank e.gbad weather or they are busyIt’s been over months of contacting them and I called them yesterday 5/21/and I was provided with the same excuses such as the weather is bad and they are busy and they could not give me any date as to when the old tank would be removed from our propertyI informed them I would be filing a complaint against them
