Horrible customer serviceNogales branch never answers their phonesIf you call their national call center they will email the Nogales branch to have them call you (since they can't get Nogales to answer any of their listed numbers either)If you receive a call back from Nogales, the receptionist will hang up on you several times before getting your name because she apparently doesn't know how to operate an office phoneThis used to be a servigas franchise, but was bought out by amerigasInstead of firing all of the employees and hiring people willing to work they kept everyoneGreat place to work as an employee apparently, since nobody is held accountable for shoddy customer service, long wait times, or any of the other poor practices evident there

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:This people don't know who they are servicing First the previous owners name were not *** don't know where they get that information Second why can't they provide me with proof of ownership of tank? If it belongs to Amerigas they should have proof
Again this is the kind of business they run Trying to rob people of their hard earn money I have asked for numberous times for proof and I keep on getting wrong information or the run around.

I am rejecting this response because: Amerigas is wrong, they cause an error and closed the wrong account accidentally, I been paying for propane and Amerigas has been filling the tank somewhere else I have plenty of proof, emails, checks, withdrawals, phone calls and the propane inspector had said, I had NO Propane and he said they never came to fill the tankI never got any slips stating that they had been at the property.I sent this email January 29, 2017.We had an emergency gas issue at *** *** and found out that this account has been closed???? I been paying Amerigas and they have been taking my payments? And now we have no gas????
I think you got confused with the property we sold *** *** in *** *** ***
I hope we are not paying for propane on *** ***? We do not own that house anymore

*** *** did not call back after several messages were left requesting delivery before my tanks ran out Their pamphlet states "DON'T RUN OUT OF GAS SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARDS, INCLUDING FIRE OR EXPLOSION, CAN RESULT" Needless to say, my tanks ran out despite my repetitive calls that were not returned
Once I noted I wished to discontinue their service they sent a man to fill my tanks when they thought I was not homeI was home and spoke directly to their delivery person noting my dissatisfaction with customer service and refusal of delivery He was surprised he was sent out
I showed him the pamphlet and he said he agreed noting "you don't mess around with propane."
Several days later a second delivery man left a message that he filled the tanks In that message he commented on the house being dark and no cars being in the driveway They filled them when I asked them not to do so, and locked them so I could not use the gas Full tanks are difficult to move When I
I ordered propane on Feb 6th Called times and still waiting Called the emeragency line to get propane and they way want to gouge for me emergency services Still no propane
January 30, 2017Dear *** ***:Thank you for giving AmeriGas Propane, L.P, (“AmeriGas”) an opportunity to respond to *** ***’s complaint, filed on behalf of *** ***, regarding a refund for unused propaneAmeriGas takes any complaint by its customers seriouslyTherefore, upon receipt
of their complaint, we investigated the allegations contained therein and provide the following response based on our findings.*** *** received a delivery of gallons on January 19, as she was on auto delivery at that timeTo address *** ***’ concern regarding refund for unused propane, one is not due since the tank was empty at time she terminated her accountThis is was verified as our records show the first delivery for the new home owner was four days after the sale of *** ***’ homeAt that time, the tank was filled to 80%This was a gallon tank and received approximately gallons, meaning the tank was empty prior to being filledThis usage would have been a result of the home being occupied between the January delivery and the sale of the home in October 2016.AmeriGas reasonably considers this matter resolvedIf you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to contact the customer advocacy department at ###-###-####.Sincerely,Tracie R***Customer Advocacy Specialist Driving Customer Delight Every Day
I terminated my service with Amerigas on 1/4/and informed them to pick up their tank After they picked up the tank weeks later they sent me a bill for their tank rental and a removal fee I called the local office and told them I would be glad to pay for the rental fee for using their tank during the past year but I felt that it was not fair practice to charge me the removal fee of for their own tank
After years of being an AmeriGas customer....I had to call twice to have AmeriGas come to our house and pick up AmeriGas propane tankAfter waiting months for them to pick up the propane tank, we received a bill for over $for AmeriGas to take the tank backTotal rip off

We stopped using Amerigas as our propane provider back around After a few complaints to them they finally came and picked up their tank and charged us like bucks to do so We switched to *** *** out of ** *** at that time and have remained with *** ever since In the late fall of Amerigas sent me a bill saying they were charging us for not ordering a minimum amount of propane from them over the prior year No joke...we weren't their customer so had ordered none I called the local office and went around and arou d with the clerk there who finally agreed to send someone out to verify the tank on my property didn't belong to them and that they would get it all cleared up Now I get home from being in the south all winter and find they have turned our account over to collection agency This is just total b.s I am not paying for propane I didnt receive...nor am I paying this service fee for not using their service since they finally did pick up t

My account was closed with out my authorization or knowledge Amerigas has kept sending me statements for propane I never got I kept paying my bills with Amerigas by via check and automatic withdrawal and all have been cleared by the bank When I realized my account was closed, I had ran out of propane and contact Amerigas and they could not find me Amerigas had said my account was CLOSEDI said how can that be? You have been collecting my money? Where are you putting propane at? Amerigas has been charging me and collecting my money and putting Propane on another houseThey had a made an errorI immediately ask for a refund and they would not give it to me and they left me without propane for days and I contact another company and they quickly refilled me with propaneI contact Amerigas that I do not want their
AmeriGas came to our home on 3/4/because we smelled gas They found their regulator outside the foundation of our home to be leaking He told me he would replace it A short time later he came to the door to show me that during the install he broke the pipe going under our home He said because it was on our side of the regulator that would be our cost/problem After standing around a while he left We are total gas including heat, water heater, range and dryer That was on Friday afternoon My husband is handicapped and I care for him He said they would come back on Monday morning to fix the pipe but it would be at a cost of $an hour .Asked if I could have my own person fix it since they said they weren't responsible and he said yes Had it fixed on Monday at a cost of $ This contractor and one other told me the pipe broke because he did not use two pipe wrenches and just cranked down on it with one After my guy fixed it we then found AmeriGas has put a

December 01, Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the above-referenced consumer complaint from a customer of AmeriGas’ Chester, NJ OfficeIn his complaint, *** *** states his belief that he owns the underground tank and complains about the price of propaneAmeriCas owns the tank that was installed at the *** residenceIf *** *** has an issue with anyone about a lack of disclosure at the time that he purchased this residence relating to AmeriGas’ ownership of the underground propane storage tank, he should look to the person or entity who sold him the residence and not AmeriGas*** *** was invoiced for all deliveries made to his residence at or about the time they were madeWhen the ***' requested an immediate delivery because they were a will call customer and out of gas, they were charged a special trip fee for a weekend deliveryThis was a one-time fee because they did not call for a delivery in advanceAmeriGas did provide the ***’ with a refund on or about October 24, for the propane that was pumped out of the tank in the amount of $1,500, which was applied to the past due balanceThe ***' currently owe AmeriGas the amount of $4,for propanePlease note that AmeriGas has removed all late fees on this account and has offered the ***’ an opportunity to enter into a reasonable repayment planWe have also previously offered to adjust the pricing to $per gallon in an attempt to resolve this matterI have also explained all or most of this to *** in the attached letterVery truly yours,

Their terms & conditions do not indicate the amount that will be charged for finesI have a galtank with them & they charged me $for not using galwithin the yearI already paid them for the gas (which was $572.06) & now am being required to pay this fine because I didn't use galwithin the year; I used gal., which is only gallessMy issue is that their terms & conditions don't indicate what amount will be charged for this fine/tank rental feeIf they are going to be charging customers a fee, the terms & conditions should clearly indicate the exact amount that will be chargedWhen I inquired about that, AmeriGas told me the fee can change at any timeIf that is the case, then they should update their terms & conditions to reflect the new fee amount each time it changes & communicate that to the customerOtherwise, they could say it is $this year & next year they can raise it to $500, without informing the
We have Cooper LP Gas Co Incin Sanford, NC and are apparently on the “automatic refill” list, which neither my husband nor I ever remember signing up for nor being asked if we wanted to be placed on this listWe received a bill yesterday for roughly $and were completely taken aback by thisWe have not used our fireplace in two years and are super confused as to how our tank would need gallons of propaneI called our gas company this morning to inquire as to why it was filled without our asking it to be (this is when I learned we are on the “automatic refill” list) and to schedule a time for our tank to be picked upI was told it would be $for our tank to be picked up but that the cost could be cut down due to giving us a gas credit but it would be a month or two before the tank could actually be picked up because “we don’t usually pick up tanks in the winter”My husband just recently lost his job through no fault of his own and this $gas bill along with the ridiculous price to have the tank picked up in a month or two is a HUGE surprise we were not happy to receiveThe lady I spoke with told me that since they can’t pick it up for a month or two that we will have plenty of time to come up with the required fundsI’m not sure how that is given that my husband does not have a job and we are struggling to make ends meet as it is on just my salary alone with two small kids, one of which who has special health needs and numerous doctor appointments which require us to travel more than an hour for themWhen I tried to place a hold on our account and schedule the tank pick up I was told that I am not allowed to do that because I am not on the account and that my husband will have to callI’m confused as to how you can tell me all of the information about my address, when my tank was last filled, how much I owe, and how much it will cost to have it removed and yet you won’t allow me to make any changes because I’m not on the accountThis is, in my opinion, a terrible way to conduct business and for all they know they could have given out vital information to someone who could possibly wish ill will and/or harm against me and my familyNeedless to say we will no longer be doing business with this company
AMERIGAS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH, I PAID CASH FOR PROPANE JANUARY THE 3RD, WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE DELIVERED ABOUT 1-OR 1- HERE IT IS 1-STILL NO DELIVERY, CALLED THEM AND THEY DIDN,T KNOW WHEN IT WOULD BE DELIVERED, I,M GOING TO HAVE TO FINE A NEW SUPPLY COMPANY AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF EVERYTIME IT GET A ORDER THE PRICE IS UP, ITS ALREADY GONE UP IN A YEARS TIME OVER 100%
In we engaged with a business called Pargas for our propane supply The company provided the tank to be used on our property We paid a small fee towards the purchase of the tank on an annual basis After abt 8-years Pargas said we now owned the tankNever again have we been charged a "rental" fee by Pargas or any other company Pargas was bought out I think twice since then Now years and years later AmeriGas decides the tank belongs to them since they purchased "All" equipment from the last owning company For many many years the tank was known to be ours Then last month SeptAmerigas decides that we need to start paying their annual rental fee of $ So many years have passed and we longer have any paperwork We probably saved such paperwork for maybe yearsSomewhere along the line we did have paperwork stating the tank now belonged to us Appreciate very much if you cold help us resolve this misunderstanding
