Amerigas is sending me "Past Due" bills, and a bill for a March delivery at over $a gallon, after I signed a Price-lock contract LAST YEAR for $a gallon

My father had his propane with a company that was bought out by Amerigas My brother happened to notice a bill on his counter where he was being charged over $4/gallon for propane I called Amerigas for my father and explained that I had just filled up for $ They told me that was cheaper than they could buy it Long story short they agreed to adjust his bill to $and something Next bill came and he was overcharged again We ended up switching propane companies for him and called Amerigas to pick up their empty tank It sat in front of my Dad's house for months before they finally came and got it His neighbor also switched suppliers and Amerigas has still not picked up his tank Dad got a bill in the mail for $for them picking up his tank He told them he would not pay it as he never signed a contract with them to supply his propane He has gotten past due notices with each one adding on a $late fee This company is bad news We are going to hire an attorney to fight them Sounds silly over this amount of money but they keep sending him bills and calling him He doesn't need the stress at his age Steer clear of this propane supplier if you can They overcharge in every way possible

less than one starThis is the most deceptive company that I have ever dealt withI had Amerigas install a a Rinnai tankless hot water heaterThe company they used was sub-par at bestThe heater was installed incorrectly which caused the heater to wear out prematurelyAccording to a Certified Plumber that I had come out and check it, my wife and I were lucky to be alive because Amerigas never vented it to go outside, all the gas fumes collected in the atticThis action also caused water/vapor to drip back into the unit thus the early destruction of the unitAfter speaking to the Branch Manager they agreed to pay for the unit but not the installation, which I was fine withI had the unit installed on Dec 24th and have been trying to reach someone to pay for the unit but no one will return my callswhich means that I got ripped off both waysSo sad that a large company would treat a senior citizen this wayI would never recommend this company to my worse enemyJohn Rutledge

That meter was read on the 5th of February it red 1877 per the gas expert , he processed to explained that they the 'COMPANY' will read it backward which will read 778, he said they will drop the end number which would be the 1", On 6th of February I receive a bill that red for $that is completely two different read for the same bill,I am reviewing all my bills that range in the 7hundred, None of those bills went over $That company got away with a lot from me but this time I can't let this go because I don't have this moneyThanks in advance

I signed up for service and a year contract for a house I rented in March My first fill was to be billed at cents, and my contract was for $ I have paid for every ticket for a fuel delivery I have received, and was promised a $for a referral I made The companies manager claims he decided to stop leaving receipt tickets for deliveries, and stating that I have received deliveries which I never received because I have been watching my gauge every single day Also, that leaves no way to track when a delivery has been made and to what address The drivers can say what ever they want, and make no real deliveries or at least there is no way to verify the delivery was made to a certain address They have stopped communicating with me, and sent my bill to collections instead of replying I have been trying and trying to get some help and have now run out of gas They are refusing to help me and are demanding I pay for a bill that I don't owe

Thank you for giving AmeriGas Propane, L.P d/b/a Carolane Propane (“Amerigas”) an opportunity to respond to *** ***’s complaint regarding his accountAmeriGas takes any complaint by its customers seriouslyTherefore, upon receipt of his complaint, we investigated the
allegations contained therein and provide the following response based on our findings. As a threshold matter, AmeriGas denies that it is engaging in price gougingWe understand and appreciate that some of our customers may not be aware of how their propane is priced and therefore may suspect our prices are too highAmeriGas strives to be the best propane company in the countryAs such, we seek to differentiate ourselves from our competitors by providing our customers with numerous additional services beyond the simple delivery of propaneThese services include: a driver and service technician on call hours per day at our District Office, a 24-hour emergency call center, an extensive safety department which provides safety training year round to our employees, and online customer account accessProviding these services to our customers means that sometimes our prices may be higher than our competitors who do not offer the same high quality of customer service. AmeriGas does offer several different types of price protected programs for its customersThese programs include: (i) “AmeriGuard,” which allows customers to pay a monthly payment based on annual usage at a protected price; (ii) “Pre-Buy,” which enables a customer to buy a fixed number of gallons at a fixed price; and (iii) “AmeriLock,” which allows customers to pay within days of delivery at a protected priceOverall, these programs are designed to make the heating season pricing predictable for our customers so that they can ensure stability in their budgets. For those customers, such as Mr*** who are not enrolled in a price protected program, are subject to our tier pricing structure based on annual usage and market price per gallon at the time of the deliveryAmeriGas (as well as many other propane companies) uses many factors to determine the price to charge its customersFor example, consumers who use a smaller volume of propane generally pay a higher price per gallon because smaller accounts, on a per gallon basis, involve substantially higher delivery costs than a larger volume customerTo compensate for the higher costs to deliver and service small accounts, volume pricing is a common practice in the industry and customers are placed in a pricing tier structure based on their annual usageAccording to our records, Mr*** was charged a price per gallon in accordance with our standing pricing policies. Mrs*** contacted AmeriGas on July 22, requesting a delivery of gallons to be delivered in SeptemberHowever, their account was not changed from automatic delivery to will call status as such on August 17, an automatic delivery ticket printed as a full deliveryThe account was changed to will call status on September 29, We would like to remind Mrand Mrs*** to contact us to schedule a delivery when the tank gauge shows 20-30% in order to allow ample time for a delivery. We value all our customers and trust this response addresses Mr***’s concernsIn light of the forgoing we reasonably consider this matter resolvedIf you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Jill D*** Jill D*** Customer Advocacy Manager

The gauge on our propane tank has been broken for almost years I have made repeated calls to the company, which come to naught "John", the technician, has promised to have someone come look at it at least half a dozen times, nothing ever comes of it
Last fall, a driver making a delivery said the gauge and tank should be replaced, again nothing ever came of it I have tried to contact "John" many times, he never returns my call I finally caught him in the office the end of July, he promised to have someone come out within the week and that he would get back to me.....again, here it is days later and nothing They never seem to keep records of calls, complaints or issues
Without a working gauge we have been caught several times with no gas in freezing temperatures and had to survive with space heaters for over a week
Without a working gauge we are at the mercy of their word when they bill us They cancelled our Amerilock program ("discounted" price) without ever sen

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: As in my original complaint, AmeriGas "Red-tagged" our underground tank in October, Their own Technician scheduled a date for AmeriGas to remove AND replace the tank ("AT THEIR EXPENSE") at the time of his de-commissioning of the tank, which had leaked ALL of the contents into the atmosphere Our complaint seeks compensation for OUR PERSONAL EXPENSES in removing the tank, AND for the product we had purchased and DID NOT USEIF WE OWED AMERIGAS, NOT ONLY WOULD THEY INCESSANTLY SEEK PAYMENT FROM US, BUT THEIR OPTIONS TO F-O-R-C-E US TO PAY WOULD BE DEBILITATING TO US AS MERE CONSUMERS
All of this is contained in our letter to them AND in the Revdex.com complaint We have come to Revdex.com in lieu of LEGAL ACTION expecting what we consider a MINIMUM RECOMPENSE and equitable resolution
*** *** stated that I agreed to their response I was FORCED to call them to come and pithe tank my contractor excavated and placed at the street in front of my residence Had we "agreed", our action through Revdex.com would not have been initiated
To reiterate: AmeriGas represents itself as a public, consumer energy company; therefore, we're seeking what, again, we consider FAIR TREATMENT, especially in light of their failure to respond to our many attempts to have our tank replaced and to continue service Although we were/are not a large-volume customer, we immediately paid all balances-due over the years of our relationship with them To this point, we are very disappointed with their response ignoring our expense and efforts to remedy a situation that was THE TOTAL RESPONSIBILITY OF AMERIGAS

Liberty Propane
** *** *** *** StAlbans, VT *** PO Box ***  StAlbans, VT ***   July 9th,
To whom this may concern:
I consider the above account to be in “dispute.” For the following reasons:
I spoke with Joanne at the office number within the last two weeks regarding reoccurring bills from Liberty which included late fees
On 6/03/I was billed for $which included to late fees for $
I thought this to be a mistake as I had paid Liberty Propane $on my credit card explaining that this was the total I owed minus the remainder of my fuel assistance
Joanne told me that the late fees would be expunged and that she would send me total accounting of my account
I just received my account balance with a total of $538.44!
It seems like Liberty is claiming that a delivery of $which I was billed was a result of an unrequested delivery made without my knowledge or consent was delivered on 8/03/

July 5, 2016Dear *** ***:Thank you for giving AmeriGas Propane, L.P(“AmeriGas”) the opportunity to again respond to *** ***’s complaintWe have further investigated the allegations and provide the following response based on our findings.During the months of December through March 2016, we were not able to read *** ***’s meterWe did however attempt to read the meter on the following dates:• December 16, 2015• January 20, 2016• February 17, 2016• March 16, 2016Unfortunately, we were not able to access the meter due to not having the proper code for the security gateTherefore, the invoices were billed using an estimated usage methodOn April 20, we were able to gain access and an actual meter reading was performedThe high meter reading indicated our estimates for the previous months were too low compared to the actual usageThus, this caused the April bill to be much higher because it included the propane which they were not charged for in the prior months. We value our customers and trust this response address *** ***’s concernsIn light of the foregoing, AmeriGas reasonably considers this matter closedIf you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to contact me.Sincerely,Michele OCustomer Advocacy Specialist

I requested a quote from Amerigas to bury a propane tankWe currently have an above ground tank with this company and have been loyal customers for more than yearsProblem - The quote they gave us was double the price from other companies and their propane is double the price per gallonProblem -We decided to go with a new company and were told that they will not give us a credit/refund for the gas we paid for that remains in the tankProblem - We had the new company place the tank underground and requested that Amerigas come and remove the disconnected tank (with gas in inside) We were told that they would come to pick it up in approxmonth! This poses a safety issue! I have small kids that play in the backyard and there is a 120-gallon gas tank with propane in itI am going to discuss this with a lawyer todayIf I could give them thumbs down, I wouldThis is a horrible company with horrible service I would highly recommend against using them for any reason

This company charges people 2-times more than other propane companies in the area Unfortunately last year when I tried to leave this company the other companies were not accepting new customers I had been a customer for three years, and the first two years even though the price was high, they were cooperative and would work out a payment plan so that we could continue to receive propane through the winter months if we could not afford to pay the filling fee of $850/tank last year something changed, and the management would not take payment plans over the phone, and insisted in doing it in writing I called and waited months before getting the paperwork, all the while continuing to make monthly payments They were getting ready to close my account and leave me without propane because I hadn't submitted the request for a payment plan, THAT THEY HAD NEVER SENT ME I got a call from the corporate office regarding my balance and I even told the woman there I was still waiting f

I changed from a gas to electric stove in DecemberI have been calling AmeriGas for months now asking them to come and get the gas tank from my yardFirst they told me that I had to wait until spring for the ground to thaw, and now they are telling me that they are too busyThey can't give me a timeframe when they will be hereI told them it was in the way of where we want to build a deckI think months is an awfully long time to wait for one gas tank to be removed from my home
