We have Cooper LP Gas Co Incin Sanford, NC and are apparently on the “automatic refill” list, which neither my husband nor I ever remember signing up for nor being asked if we wanted to be placed on this listWe received a bill yesterday for roughly $and were completely taken aback by thisWe have not used our fireplace in two years and are super confused as to how our tank would need gallons of propaneI called our gas company this morning to inquire as to why it was filled without our asking it to be (this is when I learned we are on the “automatic refill” list) and to schedule a time for our tank to be picked upI was told it would be $for our tank to be picked up but that the cost could be cut down due to giving us a gas credit but it would be a month or two before the tank could actually be picked up because “we don’t usually pick up tanks in the winter”My husband just recently lost his job through no fault of his own and this $gas bill along with the ridiculous price to have the tank picked up in a month or two is a HUGE surprise we were not happy to receiveThe lady I spoke with told me that since they can’t pick it up for a month or two that we will have plenty of time to come up with the required fundsI’m not sure how that is given that my husband does not have a job and we are struggling to make ends meet as it is on just my salary alone with two small kids, one of which who has special health needs and numerous doctor appointments which require us to travel more than an hour for themWhen I tried to place a hold on our account and schedule the tank pick up I was told that I am not allowed to do that because I am not on the account and that my husband will have to callI’m confused as to how you can tell me all of the information about my address, when my tank was last filled, how much I owe, and how much it will cost to have it removed and yet you won’t allow me to make any changes because I’m not on the accountThis is, in my opinion, a terrible way to conduct business and for all they know they could have given out vital information to someone who could possibly wish ill will and/or harm against me and my familyNeedless to say we will no longer be doing business with this company

I switched propane companies years ago, both of my propertiesI've contacted Amerigas several times for Amerigas to pick up their propane tanks, to no avail the tanks are still located at my propertyI shouldn't
have to pay for a lawyer to resolve this issueI just want Amerigas to come and remove their propane tanks, please help me

Thanks to *** from the local office for being the one that actually took time to help and look into the matterShe was the only one that cared enough to take time out of her day to make the changes and was very fair in the processHad I obtained that level of caring, understanding, and customer service from the get go I may still be a customerI was never charged for the first delivery and when I terminated the agreement was hit with a charge that was over a year old, shooting the final total to over $Again, she took the time to go over the bill and was fair about that billing issue.
The final payment is in the mail or should have recently been received

Their terms & conditions do not indicate the amount that will be charged for finesI have a galtank with them & they charged me $for not using galwithin the yearI already paid them for the gas (which was $572.06) & now am being required to pay this fine because I didn't use galwithin the year; I used gal., which is only gallessMy issue is that their terms & conditions don't indicate what amount will be charged for this fine/tank rental feeIf they are going to be charging customers a fee, the terms & conditions should clearly indicate the exact amount that will be chargedWhen I inquired about that, AmeriGas told me the fee can change at any timeIf that is the case, then they should update their terms & conditions to reflect the new fee amount each time it changes & communicate that to the customerOtherwise, they could say it is $this year & next year they can raise it to $500, without informing the

AMERIGAS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH, I PAID CASH FOR PROPANE JANUARY THE 3RD, WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE DELIVERED ABOUT 1-OR 1- HERE IT IS 1-STILL NO DELIVERY, CALLED THEM AND THEY DIDN,T KNOW WHEN IT WOULD BE DELIVERED, I,M GOING TO HAVE TO FINE A NEW SUPPLY COMPANY AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF EVERYTIME IT GET A ORDER THE PRICE IS UP, ITS ALREADY GONE UP IN A YEARS TIME OVER 100%

In we engaged with a business called Pargas for our propane supply The company provided the tank to be used on our property We paid a small fee towards the purchase of the tank on an annual basis After abt 8-years Pargas said we now owned the tankNever again have we been charged a "rental" fee by Pargas or any other company Pargas was bought out I think twice since then Now years and years later AmeriGas decides the tank belongs to them since they purchased "All" equipment from the last owning company For many many years the tank was known to be ours Then last month SeptAmerigas decides that we need to start paying their annual rental fee of $ So many years have passed and we longer have any paperwork We probably saved such paperwork for maybe yearsSomewhere along the line we did have paperwork stating the tank now belonged to us Appreciate very much if you cold help us resolve this misunderstanding

Despite being on "auto-deliver" I had to call them twice to get propane deliveredI rent the tanks from them It was delivered yesterday 11/15/and charged $per gallon for gallons I called two other propane companies Highouse was if I owned the tanks and 2.24.if they were leased Modern was if owned and if leased The tanks came with the house when I bought it and I would not complain if it was a few cents more per gallon, but it is almost double

If I could leave "0" stars I wouldAmerigas (Sawyer Gas) at the University BlvdCourt Jacksonville, FL address is THE WORST PLACE AND UTILITY COMPANY EVERYFirst, they incorrectly charged me $These charges were from the previous tenantUpon letting them know (I spoke to Crystal), they said not to worryThat they would inform their accounting department to not charge meFAIL the money got taken out of my account WITHOUT my consentAfter a week (A WEEK!) of talking with Crystal and her manager Cody they said they would reimburse me BUT I would have to wait another days for the check to arriveThey couldn't just put it back in my account because it's not their procedureI waited the days (again DAYS!!!) and the money is still not in my account as promisedThis utility company is the worst I've every dealt withAvoid them at all costThey have no idea how to run a department and have no idea what customer service isTaking money out of customer's accounts without their consent is illegalSTAY AWAY!

That meter was read on the 5th of February it red 1877 per the gas expert , he processed to explained that they the 'COMPANY' will read it backward which will read 778, he said they will drop the end number which would be the 1", On 6th of February I receive a bill that red for $that is completely two different read for the same bill,I am reviewing all my bills that range in the 7hundred, None of those bills went over $That company got away with a lot from me but this time I can't let this go because I don't have this moneyThanks in advance

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because they tape record all phone conversations so they can find out that I called three times prior to July requesting the written forms to set up a payment plan I have enclosed e-mail correspondence showing how long I have been a customer Prior to my payment plans were set up on the phone with a rep from the El Cajon office; in they informed me they no longer did that and required a written agreement that took them over 1/months and three phone calls to get to me All this time late fees were accruing These are the fees they said they would waive after the payment agreement was satisfied I made all three of my payments per the agreement on time After I made my last payment of $Kelly L*** kept calling my phone while I was at work, but did not leave a messageAfter or more missed calls I e-mailed her and asked why she kept calling me No response Then I get a collection letter for two late feesI called the El Cajon office again on January 10th and asked for a supervisor They connected me to Meghan Z*** who asked me to forward the e-mails from Kelly regarding the waiving of the late fees I sent her the e-mails, and got no response from her either, but a week or so later I got another collection letter I had advised them in July I no longer wanted to continue service with them, and advised I would call them when the tank was empty so I could use the gas I had already paid for No mention of a fee to pick up the empty tankI called them to pick up their empty tank I'm assuming this is the new fee that now generated and invoice for $172??? The empty tank can be verified by the new company that switched out the tanksAgain, no communication from anyone at this company as to what this charge is for, and nobody has called to explain these charges or invoices I was under the understanding that once the payment plan was satisfied I was done This company has a 1&1/stars out of on their Yelp page because of their poor quality of service This has been one of the most frustrating, irritating companies I have ever dealt with The stress they are causing me by continually harassing me with collection notices and no return calls is the reason I filed this complaintI have attached many of the e-mail correspondence between myself and *** *** *** and AmerigasYou also need to know that they are gauging customers when they are most vulnerable They charged me $to fill my tank in the winter, and my new company just filled the same size tank twice for $ Amerigas threatens to cut off your service in the middle of winter if you don't pay their outrageous fees They are a horrible, price gauging company, which is why I file this complaint The new company rep told me they are getting so many new customers fed up with Amerigas that their business is booming, and after fills with them already this winter season I know why

June 15, approximately pmWe had a scheduled installation of propane gas lines - an addition to an existing gallon tankLines were to be installed about feet for a propane stove addition and an additional feet for a propane dryer installationThis was clearly understood by AmeriGasTwo installers arrived, one in AmeriGas uniform, the other in a T-shirt and jeansThe agent in the T-shirt asked me what racial extraction I was - I thought this was an inappropriate questionThe uniformed agent told me he had no Floor Joist Hangers to install the extension pipesHe asked me how long I was going to be in Wilkesboro and when was I leaving for Hawaii ?? The agent in the T-shirt asked me for my house keys and that they would return after I was gone to install the linesI told him it was absolutely out of the questionI became very suspicious that I was asked for my racial extraction and for my house keysI don't believe this is appropriate conductThey left making some vague comments about when they could returnMY WIFE AND I ARE VERY CONCERNED THAT THERE MAY BE A FUTURE ATTEMPT TO ROB OUR HOME WHEN WE ARE GONETHIS IS A VACATION HOME FOR US

I contacted them in November and asked them to remove tank, after I found out that it would cost over $to fill I received a new bill today 1/8/saying I owed from a fill up before then $in late charges and for a service call to lock off tank for non payment There is no lock That tank had been unhooked for over monthsSo they are trying to charge for something that was never done When I called back to let them know this, we mysteriously got disconnected and I could not get an answer when I called back

Thank you for giving AmeriGas Propane, L.P(“AmeriGas”) an opportunity to respond to Erinn ***’s complaint regarding her deliveryAmeriGas takes any complaint by its customers seriouslyTherefore, upon receipt of her complaint, we investigated the allegations contained therein and provide
the following response based on our ?ndings.Ms*** is a “pay in advance” (PIA) customer, meaning she must pay for her propane prior to receiving a deliveryMs*** called on December 1, to schedule and pre-pay for gallons of propaneOn December 13, 2017, we delivered gallons to Ms***Ms*** is not satis?ed with paying in advance for her deliveries but, in order for her to qualify for credit tenns, we need to run a credit check, Ms*** declined. The gauges on the propane tanks do not measure the quantity of propane delivered to customers because they may not be as accurate as the meters on AmeriGas’ delivery trucksThe propane tank gauge is used to estimate the volume of propane in the tankHowever, the estimate may not always be preciseAmeriGas delivery trucks are equipped with meters that ensure accurate quantities of propane are delivered to customersThese meters are routinely tested and are proven and sealed as a measuring device. We value our customers and apologize for any inconvenience to Ms***If you have any questions or require further information, please feel ?ee to contact me.Sincerely, Melissa F*AmeriGas Propane, LPCustomer Experience Specialist***
