Let me start off by saying I'm defiantly a patient person but, when it comes to this company I'm so over themI moved to my current address years agoI rented tanks from Ameriagas and fuel for starters ($and some dollars for starters)I don't have many options in my area so I did it anywaysMy first delivery was a week late, but I figured hey it's winter they are probably behindWhen I first started my service I was receiving my fuel on payment plansI'd pay $and some odd dollars and the rest was split into monthly paymentsI never missed a payment and was always on timeThe last time I called to order fuel in I was told it could take 7-business daysweeks went buy and on the third week I called the office timesEach time I was told I was on the delivery roster that they'd be there that dayFor a week nothing, I called back and they go "oh you didn't pay up front you can't do payments." So I paid for a full tank fill and it still took them weeks to deliver itNow on to with AmeriagasWeather starts changing I call in and was told I STILL can't get fuel on payments, that I needed dollars to fill my tanks that's the only way they can deliverI tried to save the money but I live on a very strict budgetI called the main office and they told me they couldn't help me that I'd have to talk to my local office about why I couldn't do fuel on paymentsThey sent an e-mail to the local office to call me cause they didn't answer when the main office calledLet this be a shocker "They never called me back"I finally got the together called my local office only for them to tell me it was going to cost I asked the guy to work with me cause that was all I hadHe says let me look at the computer, gets back on the phone and says "Yea, you can just do half tanks for $223.00" Like, you couldn't do that weeks ago!So that was on Dec 11thI called Friday the 22nd worried about not having fuel for Christmas and the lady on the phone told me, "Yea your on the roster for Sat"Well guess what Sat came and went still no fuel so I had to cancel all my Christmas plans (Thanks Amerigas)Office was close on the 25th understandably soSo I called on Tue oh well I'll see what I can do to have them out there tomorrowWell folks here I'm writing this at 6a.mon the 29th (Can't sleep to cold) and still no fuelIt's currently degrees warmer than the night before when it was a whole degreesI'm so glad when I call I get correct information/accurateI'm glad I pay hundreds of dollars for propane only to be lied to again and againI'm glad I get to freeze for weeks every winterI'm also realllly glad I'll have a super high water bill cause I have to leave my faucets runI'm DONE, I'd give Ameriagas stars if I could
On October 13, 2017, we switched propane companies from Amerigas to another companyWe have contacted the company on several occasions to remove their old tank, but we are given various excuses as to why they cannot remove the tank e.gbad weather or they are busyIt’s been over months of contacting them and I called them yesterday 5/21/and I was provided with the same excuses such as the weather is bad and they are busy and they could not give me any date as to when the old tank would be removed from our propertyI informed them I would be filing a complaint against them
AmeriGas removed a propane tank from my property and damaged my deck in the process of the removal
I called Trenton LP/Amerigas the beginning of October 2017, and I spoke with their desk girl to set up an appointment for them to leak check my tankShe told me she would have to call me in a couple days to verify the date of inspection, and I ended up having to call them back weeks laterI was told by the very same desk girl that I had been forgotten about, though she had told me that she would call me two days after I initially spoke with herOnce we finally got the leak tests done, the driver provided me a contract to sign, which I did When I inquired about a payment plan, the driver informed me that they did offer such plans if we qualified He then brought me a form to fill out to check our credit, which I filled out and immediately gave back to him He went out to his truck and was out there about minutes When he returned he said, "Good News! You qualify to make paymentsYou should receive your first bill in a couple of weeks." I was never informed of an upfront
I am on automatic delivery I live in Hemlock Farms Community and was extended the Community Rate for delivery in the past as were the prior owners, which adds up to over years as being a customer On 11/19/propane was delivered automatically The next day I received a call from the Honesdale office in PA advising me that I recently had a delivery and if I had any questions to call The bill reflected the amount of $per gallon I called as I have done in the past to have the bill adjusted to the community rate Did not have a problem in the past and the bill was adjusted This time they refused to adjust the bill My prior bills reflect an amount of about $- $ I was never notified before delivery that they would be increasing my rate to $which I find disturbing I am attempting to negotiate to a community rate of $on this particular bill The Honesdale Office is absolutely refusing and reading me the riot act about what they can do if I don't pay this $amount I am sending in payment on this 10/19/delivery and adjusting it to the $in an effort to resolve this matter and prevent the company to put a lock on my tank We are a family of four, three of which are senior citizens, with one being years old Before actually filing a formal complaint, I want to see if they will accept payment at the $community rate instead of causing me problems with refusing to pay the ridiculous amount of $ If this becomes not acceptable to Amerigas, I will be making a formal complaint to the Revdex.com
over charged for service
Amerigas keeps enrolling me in this program that I have told them I do not want to be enrolled inThey said they sent out statements to my house (even though I am on paperless billing) and that they disconnected my gas on 8/and left a disconnect notice because I did not pay the program enrollment feeI never received statements and I never received anything on my doorI just paid $to have my furnace checked only to find out that it is not getting gas, so I called Amerigas to see if they could come look at it and that is when I found that they put the lock on my tank - that is 70% full of gas that I have already paid forThey then proceeded to charge me another $to have someone come out in a few days and take the lock offThis is such a scam! I have already started searching other propane providers
Put in a standard request for refill some days ago onlineI was given a time window during which gas delivery would occur extending from days after I requested until todayToday, noticing the delivery still had not been made and noticing my tank near empty, I called MsLeia Bush at about 9AMShe reassured me "you're on the list" and "the delivery will be made today"Came home to look at my tank and no refillAt this point, I went online and looked at average LPG prices in texas for the prior week ($per eia.gov)The price I was quoted at the time I put in the request was $I quickly called a competitor in town, not knowing what I'd getI was quoted $So, Amerigas has been unreliable and they are price-gouging as well
I moved to a rental with a gallon propane tank in the fall of I signed a contract with mountain propane in port hadlock, wa to have automatic deliveries at a fixed price During the spring of 2017, the deliveries continued but at a price 80% higher than what the contract stated I looked at the contract and the end date of the contract was actually months before the start date I hadn't noticed the error and there was no way for me to know what the end date was I contacted the local office to ask about why my propane bill almost doubled without any explanation The informed me of the end date of the contract, which was not correctly listed on the contract When I pointed out this mistake, they told me I am lucky they dont go back and charge me more for my past deliveries because the contract had an end date well in the past I believe the company should have notified me when my fixed price period had ended This is even more critical because my contract did not list the end date correctly I have a budget and I was not expecting my propane bill to doubleAnother component of the contract was that deliveries would be automatic and they would ensure the tank did not run out During both of the winters I lived in this house as a customer of mountain propane, my tank ended up empty Last year, over the christmas holiday, my propane was out for days as the local office was closed and countless message were never returned The company did credit my account $in each instance but this is hardly sufficient repayment
On 3/1/AmeriGas delivered 227.6gal propane to my place at *** ** *** ***
On 3/4/they sent an invoice charging me $3.969/GAL for a total of $ I am a member of the *** *** Association and therefore entitled to buy propane at the then current price of $1.79/GAL, which totals $I called the billing/customer service department department to complain and talked to Alicia V***She promised to correct the invoice amount and followed up with an email to confirm, also attaching the corrected invoice signed by her I then mailed AmeriGas a check for $427.20, which cleared my bank on 3/30/
But they keep sending "Past Due Notices"I called again to complain, again tried to talk to MsV***, but she put me on hold and did not get back to meI called the San Jose customer service department again, explained the situation to somebody else, and was promised a call back, which never happenedSince they supposedly record all phone conversations they should b
I had moved into Hemlock Farms over a year ago and was told my propane (Ameri Gas) would be $a gallonI was running low on propane come November of last year and the truck pulled in pumped my propane with two cars sitting in the driveway not knocking on the door and took off leaving the receipt sitting on my doorstepI read the the ticket and with out warning me jacked my price up to $a gallonI was left holding a $billI then removed them from my services and have 40% left in the tank when I was in formed that I would have to pay the full amount and receive no credit back for the 40% left in the tankThey would resell that potion of it to someone elseThis place is a true rip off and will in every way take advantage of you in the middle of the winterI am not afraid to show my name and number if someone would like to file a class action suit against this company for all of there wrong doing that they are getting away withPlease feel free to email me at [email protected] if there other people out there just like me going through this
My account was set up as a call for delivery basisA delivery was made of galsometime in mid JanI was unaware of the delivery until I received a past due notice dated 3/22/along with a $late feeI called the company and ask why a delivery was made with out my ordering itThey replied that they did not know as I was set up on a call for deliveryI told them that the house was up for sale because my Mother had passed away and that my daughter was living there and only heated with a wood burnerThe furnace was the only thing that used propane gasI then told them that I wanted the propane pumped back outThey then said that because the tank rental was already paid for a year that I should wait to see if the new owner wanted to buy the gas and if not they would pump the gas out and send me a refund check They verified my address to send the check toThey also said to call them as soon as the new owner took possession of the houseOn the morning of 10/
We called for propane delivery on 3/On 3/still no delivery called and were told we were on the schedule that day Side note blizzard predicted for next dayWe were not at 10% on tank and 0% on the other Got home from work at 5:pm and no deliveryCalled closed Next morning called and were told no delivery due to weather coming As of that time was perfectly clear outside Asked for emergency delivery which would cost us $extra were told no Basically told my husband nothing they can do and didn't care we would have no heat in a blizzard We had to call another company and have them bring out new tanks and fill them for us and they were at our house within the hour! New company found leaks in Amerigas line and said tanks were set to use more propane than neededCalled back Amerigas because they precharged us $for a delivery they never madeSaid they would refund our card that day days later, no refund Contacted corporate a
Canceled propane service with Northern Energy AmeriGas on 2/1/Was told that it would be thirty days before tank could be removedHave called three times since 3/1/Tank has still not been removedIn addition, Northern Energy AmeriGas has incorrectly recorded cancel date as 2/27/Service was canceled 2/1/Not sure if that is some sort of delay-tacticAlso the incorrect date information negatively impacts my tank-rental refund which is unacceptable
In early December I called Amerigas to have gas deivered. They said they put us on the schedule but they never showed upI called On I called Amerigas's hotline because I smelled gas even though my tank said emptyThey responded immediately and had a technician call me who came out and did a tank check told us that we had a leak and we should get the tank replacedI believe the tank was made in He put gallons of gas in it and scheduled to have it replaced contacting our landlord to set everything up.In a nutshell after several calls months later still no tank though they did continue to send someone out who put gallons here and gallons of gas thereThe whole time when I walked by the tank I could smell gas.FINALLY after a half dozen appointments to replace the tank they came out with the New manager Eric someone emptied our tank which took hours since apparently it was full replaced it with a new tank and in apology told us the tank fill was complimentar
I am very disappointed with Amerigas When my landlord found a better deal with a different propane company, nearly $less per gallon, Amerigas charged me $to pick up the tanks The tanks were there when I moved in And I had lived there for nearly years by the time we made the change Then they reimbursed me $less a gallon for the propane that I paid for but did not use They were charging nearly $more per gallon then the state average at the time When we tried to address it with them they made promises and never followed through We tried a few times Then they lied to my boyfriend when he tried to help me work it out with them I will never do business with them again We tried to give them a chance to work it out with us By the way, I am a single mom, I work full-time, and I have four children
