Review: per Paul W[redacted] the the company quoted a moving price based my information which was 850 feet of my apartment and the items in their.

I called later and informed them that I have a couch, 2 over stuffed chairs, 3 end tables pedal bike and boxes. My apartment did not have a living room set I sold it, however the square footage does not change..when the movers showed up, they were 2 hours late... No phone call. The last stop had more than he thought. So guess who got the short end of the stick.. Paul also stated to me that once they load the truck it will go straight to Florida, no transferring items to another truck.. What a big lie that was.. That was my main concern!!!! I did not want them to move my things twice do to what my inventory consist of.. So another $900 later my hands were tied and I am so pissed.. I had a kidney transplant at Porter hospital 2 months ago.. I do not have money, seriously I don't!! My friends have helped me but, how embarrassing is that. I gave them a spot on inventory, money for a deposit of $700. Deanna said I don't get it back if I refuse service.. What a sick racquet!!! This company sucks.. Bunch of unprofessional thieves.. I would never ever recommend them to my worst enemy..

We apologize for any inconvenience to the customer. Upon arrival, the carrier noticed the customer had additional icubic feet. According to regulation, the carrier provided the customer with a revised written estimate for the additional cost. Which the customer did agree to.Customers are only eligible for a refund if they CANCEL their move seven business days prior to their load date, as stated on our cancellation policy three (3) times before a customer electronically signs for the agreement;Deposits are 100% refundable with No Cancellation Fee or Additional Charges for moves cancelled outside ten (10) business days (weekends and federal holidays excluded) prior to the first estimated pack or load date. I understand that deposits are non refundable for moves cancelled, reserved, or placed on hold within ten (10) business days (weekends and federal holidays excluded) of the first estimated pack or load date. Additionally, cancellation policy will apply to the earliest estimated pack/load date in the event a date change is requested by client. All cancellation and refund requests must be sent in writing via e-mail to [redacted] Cancellation requests sent to Apollo Relocation Services Inc. after normal business hours (6:00 PM EST) will be considered received on the following business day

Review: A classic bait and switch sales tactic, this company completely misrepresented the cost involved in hiring them to move my household. First off, they did not tell me that they were a brokerage firm up front, so I was under the impression that they were a full service moving company - NOT a middle man. It wasn't until I did some research that I discovered the difference (this was my first and last time hiring a moving broker). After speaking with several other moving companies, I became very suspicious of the quote I had received and immediately requested to cancel my contract and be issued a refund of my $700 deposit. Even though this was just a few hours after I had signed, they refused to comply on the basis that I had booked my move less than 7 days from the date, and was therefore locked into the contract. In Colorado, ALL legal contracts are subject to cancellation within 3 business days; but, they threatened me with legal action when I insisted they return my money. So, I proceeded with the transaction feeling very uneasy, knowing I was about to get scammed - and that is exactly what happened!

Upon disclosure of the contents of my home, Apollos gave me an initial Binding Estimate of $2900.00 for the cost of my move. They asked me for very little detail about the size and scale of my furniture. When I spoke to them again later, insisting that this estimate seemed too low, (and indicating that anything much higher would be significantly over my budget), they increased the quote to $3100.00, (in spite of my request to cancel the deal). Upon arrival, the moving company that they contracted essentially discarded that quote entirely and recalculated the job at $3700.00, changing it to a non-binding estimate (meaning that they could pretty much hold my belongings hostage and charge me as much as they want to return my goods). Furthermore, there was zero disclosure of additional costs that might be involved, (like if a shuttle is required or the like)... so, I'm now having to pay an additional fee of $500.00 because my move in date was changed by my land lord. So, in the end, this @$3000 move is costing me $4200.00. Not OK!!!Desired Settlement: I want a refund of my $700 deposit, (i.e. their fee for services).

At Apollo Relocation Services, we do our best to help easethe stress of long distance moving with courteous customer services at theforefront. Hence, addressing complaints or concerns of customers forcomplications that may have occurred during their moves is one of our utmostpriorities. We regret that our customer, [redacted], feels that her movewas not to the caliber of our usual moves. In these customers’ case, thecustomer’s price for her long distance move was adjusted by the carrier uponarrival solely due to the fact that the customer had additional items to bemoved that were not on our original inventory and estimate. What sets Apollo Relocation Services apart from almost allof our competitors is our Quality Assurance (QA) department that reconfirms allof our customers’ move details and answers any customer questions or concerns priorto any of their items being loaded and transported by our carriers. [redacted] was called for the QA process on 3/**/15, 5 days prior to her pick-update to revise any items on the inventory that was necessary. During that call,we adjusted the customer’s box count but no additional items were added to theinventory since it was not mentioned by the customer.Unfortunately upon pick-up, the customer had numerousadditional items to be moved that were not mentioned for our inventory, including headboards and footboards for bed, shelving, an additional armoire, keyboard and keyboard stand, etc. Because of the change in inventory, the carrierby law must provide the customer with a revised written estimate for the additionalitems and weight, which our carrier did properly provide. This revised estimatewas presented to the customer and was signed by the customer prior to loading. While there was increase in price, the carrier still honoredour discounted moving rate and kept the customer’s additional items and weightat the same rate. As per our agreement with the customer, if there is anincrease in items or weight upon pick-up, they will receive a revised writtenestimate and may be charged at full tariff rates as stated in the clausesbelow:“Customer has selected aBINDING NOT-TO-EXCEED price. Total costs will not exceed the estimated cost;detailed in the list of pieces, for an estimated weight/volume listed in the“Relocation details” of this agreement, providing that customer provides ApolloRelocation Services Inc. with an accurate description of the items that are tobe moved, and the services that need to be performed. If there is an increaseof items, packing services, weight/volume or labor services added at the originor destination to those quoted in this agreement, the customer may be chargedfor those services at full tariff rates.”AND:“If youare going to add additional pieces/items to your inventory at origin, or ifyour inventory pieces/items are different in weight and/or volume from what wasestimated on this agreement: · Carrier’sforeman will provide you with a revised written estimate on site including allcosts necessary for your move.· Federalregulation requires carrier to honor original estimate if foreman has loadedtruck prior to shipper signing and agreeing to revised estimate. You should notallow carrier to load the truck or perform any services until revised estimatehas been signed and agreed to by you, the shipper.”AND:“The quoted prices and terms are based on the informationprovided at the time the reservation was made. The items in the inventory havebeen calculated to an estimated weight/volume or minimum used to determine thetransportation requirements upon which your price is determined. Any changes toyour inventory may result in different terms and prices uniform with thecarrier's tariff. If any additional services, packing of items, or labor areadded or required at the destination or origin then you may be charged forthose services and/or items at full tariff rates.”The customer electronically signed this agreement on 3/**/15at 1:28pm EST, and using Firefox Internet Browser. The customer was fully awareof the price and new terms and conditions AND signed for them on the day of themove of 3/**/15. While, we do understand that discrepancies andinconveniences can occur during moves, especially long distance moves and wetry to accommodate to our customers’ needs as best we can when those incidencesoccur. According to our records, the customer never called in to address herconcerns with us about the additional costs and her concerns, and we are onlylearning of her issues through this Revdex.com complaint. We might have been able toaddress her concerns with the motor carrier had the customer contacted us priorto this complaint. But we are still here to help her with this process shouldshe choose to contact us directly. Since the move was conducted and we abidedby our terms on the signed agreement, the customer is not eligible for a refundof the deposit. However, if she should have any other issues that we could helpher with, especially any concerns with the carrier performing her move, she iswelcome to contact us and speak to our customer service department. As always, we are here and will continue to respond to ourcustomers’ concerns through phone by calling [redacted] or email at[redacted]. Customer care is our utmost concern and wehope to help these customers reach an adequate solution to their dilemma.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The verbosity of the company's response is actually laughable. So, if you make it sound official, is it any less *word redacted*? Hmm! [redacted] and [redacted] actually want you to believe that I simply FORGOT to mention a six foot 200 pound oak armoire sitting in the middle of my living room on my original bid - the one I described to [redacted] IN DETAIL as "weighing a [redacted] ton," and that he simply documented as being a "cabinet." The keyboard that they mentioned is a children's toy that weighs about as much as my cat - to be fair, let's say 10 pounds, and the stand is maybe about 5# more. And, that's not exactly furniture. I do NOT have a headboard OR a footboard - I have one twin sized daybed with a trundle that I also disclosed when I got my original bid - the one they simply described as two twin mattresses. So, let's cut through the *word redacted* and get to the facts that these men have failed to even address in their response to me, shall we? Fact one, I requested to cancel my contract and be issued a refund, in writing, three times and was refused, (see attached PDFs). All three requests were submitted less than 24 hours after I was cooerced into booking this job under false pretenses. Point in fact, one was submitted less than 2 hours after the first conversation. Fact two, [redacted] failed to adequately document the contents of my household - something I repeatedly tried to point out in a subsequent conversation with [redacted], (Here's what I said to him: "based on the quotes I've gotten from other companies since I first spoke to you, I believe that you are not adequately documenting the size and scale of my household, and I'm afraid that my quote will dramatically increase in price once the movers arrive"). Each of the with other companies I spoke with were far more thorough in asking pointed and detailed questions about my belongings. The response I got from [redacted] was to say that "it doesn't matter how accurately they document my items because they far overestimate the weight so that the quote will cover anything they might have missed." I'm paraphrasing based on recall, but you get the idea. Fact three, Apollo moving is accusing me of "adding items" after the fact. Nice tactic - I believe it's called "blaming the victim to cover your own *word redacted*." Unfortunately, there's zero truth in it. I did nothing of the sort. In fact, I was so worried about the lack of thoroughness in documenting my household, that I sold my washer and dryer to try to offset the cost I was anticipating when the movers showed up to stick it to me, and stick it to me is exactly what they did. Nice! So, no, I don't accept the response from this vendor. They used a classic aggressive used car saleseman approach to bully me into accepting the deal, when they should have let me walk away as I respectfully requested. Bait and switch tactics are a low down dirty way to do business - BAD FORM - shame on Apollo for their underhanded methods and refusal to take responsibility for their rotten attitude!!! With every fibre of my being I believe that companies of this calibre do not deserve to be in business, nor do ANY companies that prey upon consumers using unethical and shady predatory practices like this company.

Response:

Please see attached signed contract. The client was serviced for their move. The client paid as per the terms of the quote they agreed to and we have answered the client every time they have called to try to make their move experience as smooth as possible. The client had additional items therefore the additional charges and the client had the opportunity to cancel the move at any point but choose not to. We accommodated her long distance move on less than a weeks notice and did our part to make the move a success. The service was provided so there is no refund due.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

As per the document provided by Apollo, you can clearly see that I DID NOT add on any items after-the-fact. The giant ARMOIRE they claim was added post haste is the first item listed. Additionally, the bed with trundle is ALSO listed... the only thing not on the manifest that they claim was "added' on was the 5 pound children's keyboard that was not in a box, and would hardly justify an $1850.00 upcharge! Additionally, I sold my washer and dryer prior to the move, so the total cost of the move should have been LOWER than estimated. This proves absolutely that this was a bait and switch contract. The fact that the movers recalculated the entire move at their discretion, discarding the original estimate is only reinforced by the document that they have provided. Furthermore, the clause indicating that the move was booked less than 7 days prior to the move is null and void... because STATE LAW overrides any such provisions. In the State of Colorado, I had 3 days to cancel any legal contract without penalty. I chose to move forward with the deal ONLY because I was coerced and threatened by [redacted] when I tried to insist on retracting. I did not have the time OR resources to fight them, so I caved. However, that does not negate my legal rights as a consumer. As it stands, I am owed a FULL refund of $700 by Apollo Relocation Services, Inc.

Sincerely,

Recently my wife and I relocated from Ohio to Florida. We researched moving companies online and spoke to several. Apollo Relocation presented themselves well and offered the best price - $3268. This price was estimated based on the number of boxes (60) and the size and pieces of furniture, appliances (washer and dryer), one couche four recliners, one queen size bed, a small dining room table, one china cabinet, 2 night stands, 2 end tables. The movers showed up and explained the process and told us we had to sign an agreement that required us to pay .86 for every pound over the estimated 5,400 lbs. on the estimate. They stated this was a standard document and that they could not move our things unless we signed. They also told us that based on what they saw we would be WAY under the estimate.

The week of delivery we received a phone call from the moving company (Not Appolo but their agent) that we were over by nearly 3000 lbs. and that we owed an additional $4400 dollars on top of what we had already paid; this brought the total cost of the move to $6400 - DOUBLE what the estimate was !!!!!

We contacted Apollo for help and they handed us off to their Customer Service Dept.

They were of no help and when we requested to speak with someone in charge they refused. When we asked to speak with the agent we booked the move with, they refused !

When I asked them how their estimate could be off by 100% they said it was only an estimate. We spent quite a bit of time measuring each pice that was going to be moved and reviewing the inventory, including number and sizes of each box with Apollo.

In my opinion this was a classic bait and switch sales process. The public is at risk from these vultures. The told us that if we didn't pay they would keep our things.

HELP

Review: Apollo contracted with me for moving my goods from Henrietta NY to Alton, IL. on 8/**/2015. I selected them from four interviewees because of their A+ Revdex.com rating at the time, their promises ("never lost a pillow, guarantee a safe and satisfactory move") and the statement that "we will move you". They took $1,000 deposit on an estimate of $4026.

They instead sent a subcontractor, "247 Moving and Storage" of [redacted] and the first I knew about it was on their arrival at my home on 8/**/15. "247" hauled all my goods outside and left most of them in the rain while they demanded I agree to an overage amount of $8000 in addition to the $1,000 estimate, totaling $9,000. I gave in.

My good were then trucked to NJ and put in storage while I looked for a house to buy. My daughter was outraged and got them to lower their price to $6500, still an overcharge. "247" demanded payment in cash, check or money order. No credit cards accepted.

When my goods were delivered, several items were damaged or missing. I talked to 247 by phone, my daughter did so likewise, and I sent them at least two emails listing first an interim list, then a final attached list of items.

Only the first email was answered on October *, stating it would take up to 3 months to locate the items.

The second email was not answered. The business has closed and stored items have not been paid in storage. I do not know where my missing items are. The value of these items was about $1500.Desired Settlement: I would like Apollo to refund my deposit of $1,000 for referring me to a bad company that overcharged me and is not answering requests to bring back my goods or offer reimbursement for damage and missing items. I prefer this settlement since Apollo promised me that I would not need to buy additional insurance as they've never had to settle on such claims.

This refund is requested because of deceptive selling practices, misleading and bad advice, and referring me without prior warning that another company was being given the job. I could not have time to check the second business with Revdex.com and had no opportunity to refuse and seek another business. My trust was misplaced.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

This is not a satisfactory response. They referred me to a bad business who overcharged me by a very large amount. This business also failed to bring my goods that I needed and had difficulty replacing. This business failed to respond to my claim of missing and damaged goods and closed. This was not in accordance with Apollo's promise of good faith service. Apollo took my 1000 dollars and considers their responsibility in referring me to a bad business closed.

Review: They lied to me on the phone and quoted me a "guaranteed" price of $1500 and told me that I would not be charged any more than that price after signing their contract. I messed up by believing them and not reading the fine print of the contract. I decided to sign with them because they guaranteed that price and also said they would be there to pick up our stuff on a certain date and then have it delivered within a 2-5 day window, which were also lies. On the day the movers were supposed to show up, I had to call several times to find out where they were as it got later and later. After several attempts and several hours, I was finally able to get through to someone who told me the movers were running late and wouldn't be able to make it to me until the next day. After requesting my security deposit back, which had to be investigated later by other staff, and reactivating my electricity and cable, the movers called and said they'd be to me in 20 minutes. This is when things went from bad to worse. Apollo had subcontracted my move to a company called [redacted] (which is not the well known company ABF, it is a knock off). The company charged me an extra $700, bringing my total to $2200, which I had to pay because I had to move at that time. The movers with [redacted] told me they would have my belongings delivered within 2-4 days. 11 days went by with me calling them and getting either no answer or excuses about truck and employee trouble before they finally showed up with my belongings half shattered and in pieces. Every box was caved in and reinforced with tape because they had blown the sides open. They put everything in a pile in the living room and said "good luck" before leaving.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my security deposit refunded based on the fact that the price they gave me on the phone was guaranteed. The fine print in the contract may have stated that the price could possibly increase however I signed with the company based on their verbal agreement on a guaranteed price of $1500 and had no reason to believe they were lying.

Review: Apollo Relocation Services contracted with a company to move my goods from Southern Colorado to the Houston Area. They were supposed to show up on August [redacted] or [redacted]. When they didn't show up, they said they were coming on August * or *. Yet, they didn't bother to come. I was told for sure they would be there on August *, but when my wife called to find out what time the movers were coming, she was told, "The moving truck was full, and that the movers were sending an empty truck just for us to arrive on August **." Of course, August [redacted] rolled around, and the movers said they would be there between * and ** AM on August **. Yet, this did not happen because the moving truck that was supposedly being sent just for our move was full.

At this point, my wife called Apollo Relocation Services and requested our money back. Four hours later the movers magically show up, but with a full tuck. To remedy the situation, they told my wife they would rent a [redacted] truck. When they went to rent the [redacted] truck, one of the driver's didn't have his driver's license, so that wasn't possible. Since our stuff was in a home and a storage unit, my wife asked the movers to at least move everything of ours into the storage unit for consolidation purposes. Incidentally, we paid them $200 for this portion of the move.

However, in order for this move to happen, the movers needed to clear out part of their moving truck, and they emptied it into our storage unit! This incidentally is their other clients' goods that they are being paid to transport elsewhere; it sat in our storage unit for over a week, and the movers have no way to even access their others' clients goods without us giving them the key to access it. We were told the movers would be there the next the day, but they didn’t show up until one week later.

To make matters worse, the company that Apollo Relocation Services contracted with refused to answer most of our calls and simply screened us out. Of course we are angry when speaking to them, but we didn’t swear at them or abuse them on the phone. We just wanted answers and we want to not be lied to. The fact that they personally promised me they were sending a moving truck just for my move was an outright lie. They lied to us repeatedly about when they were coming. They told us they were coming multiple times with no intention of keeping that commitment. I am extremely angry about this situation, and I wish I knew who the other clients were, so I could have let them know I am holding their personal items were in my storage unit

I also hold Apollo Relocation Services accountable for this mess. They could have followed up with this company and after a week of the missed deadline and demanded that my stuff be picked up, or pull the contract from them completely. Apollo Relocation Services completely left me hanging by not advocating more forcefully on my behalf. I contracted with Apollo Relocation Services, and they let me down by not helping me as they should have per the contract I signed with them in mid-July

Above all else Apollo Relocation Services promised me a refund, and they never gave it to us. They outright lied to us numerous times, and they did not fulfill their end of the bargain by getting our stuff to us in a timely manner. They wasted many days and hours of our time by telling us they were coming when they had no intention of coming. The most frustrating part was we were lied to so many times, and we treated like dust. Apollo Relocation Services should not have been doing business with a company that had an F rating with the business bureau. They should have demanded that the company they subcontracted with pick up our stuff immediately or pull the contract completely. In short, Apollo Relocation Services did nothing to earn the $950 they were paid to help me with my move.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for the lack of help I received from Apollo Relocation Services.

Review: Apollo relocation charged a $600 deposit to pick up my items from a storage unit in Syracuse NY to bring to Ladson SC on 12/**/15. They hired a company called 365 Days Moving to do the job for them as they are a broker. They showed up 6 hours late, an hour before my storage unit closed and rushed through loading the truck. The driver called me multiple times and told me I took up too much space in the truck even though they knew ahead of time that my storage unit size was 10x10 and I gave them an accurate inventory of my belongings. After the third call to me in SC they said the price had gone up $600 based on the cubic feet I was taking up in the truck. I said leave my things in the storage unit I am not paying that amount, it is not the price I agreed to. He proceeded to take my items against my will and my friend only signed off on an itemized list (not accurate). I called Wednesday 12/** and no one answered my call. On the afternoon of 12/** a guy named Josh called me from 365 days moving. He said my belongings were in a warehouse in Paterson, NJ and they would not be moved until I paid an amount that I had not agreed to. I said my things were supposed to be delivered by January * why are they in a warehouse? The original contract was an estimate and he refused to budge at all on the price. I knew I would never see my things again if I didn't pay him what he wanted. After speaking to my father and my boyfriend on Monday January * I deposited $1700 in his personal [redacted] account. Through email and text message he told me the carrier would pick up my things on 1/* and it would be delivered to me within 3-5 days.

Joe from moving express was called upon by Josh to pick my things up on the evening of 1/*. I finally got his contact number from Josh who had been lying and changing times and prices since day one. Joe said he would be here on 1/* between 5-6p. He never came until 1/* at 1230pm. When he arrived he said my belongings were the only pick up from Josh and that I still owed $746. He said Josh told him he didn't have a truck coming down to Ladson and asked him to take my things, yet another lie. So now Josh has my $1700, Apollo Relocation has my $600 deposit both of which have done nothing for me and now I still owe $746. My original estimate was $1809. When my things finally did arrive there was a broken dresser, all my wooden table were damaged, scratched or had tape ripped off of them. My couch was ripped, all my kitchen glasses were broken, as well as a few plates, a wooden shelf was missing a leg, my metal bed frame was broken, my electric piano stand was bent, my kitchen chairs had chunks of wood missing. On top of all that my $1200 electric piano is "missing" as well as a $100 bookshelf.

Upon delivery I spoke with Josh at 365 and Apollo and we all agreed Josh overcharged me on cubic feet in the truck. I gave Joe the delivery man from moving express $244 and not $746 to unload my things. After going through everything I called Josh and told him about the damages and missing items and he said he will check with the driver and see if it was dropped off at the delivery before mine. However, my stuff was the only pick up from Josh's warehouse.

At this point I have over $5000 worth of damages, a $1200 missing electric piano and a $100 missing bookshelf. I have insurance through apollo and they will not honor it. They say a claim has to be made through 365 days moving and that "company" doesn't even exist let alone have a claims department.

I want my belongings back and money to cover all of the damages. I also paid $2544 and I never signed a contract agreeing to that revised estimate. I only agreed to $1800 so I want my $744 refunded to me as well.Desired Settlement: I want my belongings back and money to cover all of the damages. I also paid $2544 and I never signed a contract agreeing to that revised estimate. I only agreed to $1800 so I want my $744 refunded to me as well.

Review: I moved from ny to Georgia and hired apollo. They quoted me one price and I took it. In turn they subcontracted to another company to do the move called 24-7 moving and storage. In tiurn they up my charges by almost 8,000 dollars..

Ok I paid they came to move me at one location and my daughter at another. They moved me and proceeded to my daughter house. in the meantime I discovered I was missing about 2,500 dollars. I called them at my daughters house and told them. They all started fighting in the yard and my daughter called police. I drove there and said just give me my money back. noone would say they took it. The police came and searched the trucks and found the money wrapped up in moving tape. also the police found a gun which I didnt know was missing but it was mine.

They arrested all the movers and I had to go to the police statiion that night until 3am. I had to go to the state police the following day. They arrested 2 of men which are still in jail to this day. I called apollo and 24-7 about it aand they didnot care. apollow gave me 200 dollares off and 24-7 500. and I said that is less thanm what they

stole. half of my furniture was broken and it was just a terrible ordeal and no one cares. I should have been

reimberrsed alot more than I was. These people just went and hired people off the street to move me.

They also had drugs on them. I really think someone should investigate this and make these peo;ple

responsible for there actions. I have all the police info and everything. thank you in advance.Desired Settlement: get my money or some return for my inconvenience and the ordeal and have people aware of the

companies involved.

to them no one really wanted to talk to me. all everyone is sorry for my situation. I told her what if this gun that was taken

Review: Below is my complaint, recounting what has occurred with my move involving Apollo Relocation Services.

5/**/2015- I Contracted with Apollo Relocation Services for a move from [redacted] to [redacted]. Received a quote for square footage, paid $500.00 deposit.

6/**/2015 Apollo called me and asked if I could push back my move a week. I said NO!

6/**/2015- I called Apollo to check status: 8:58, 11:44, 1:11, 12:23. Each time no one would speak to me, said someone would return my call. Apollo had scheduled my move for Thursday 6/** or Friday 6/**. No pick up.

6/**/2015- I called Apollo to check status: 10:53, 12:44. Each time no one would speak to me, told someone would return my call. Apollo had scheduled my move for Thursday 6/** or Friday 6/**. No pick up

6/**/2015 No one from Apollo returned my phone calls. Waiting for pick up.

6/**/2015 - I called Apollo to check status: 1:39, 1:40, 1:46, 2:28. This is Sunday, I assumed Apollo is closed.

6/**/2015 - I called Apollo to check status: 8:11, 9:52, 2:44, 6:26. Each time no one would speak to me, told someone would return my call. Apollo had scheduled my move for Thursday 6/** or Friday 6/**. No pick up

6/**/2015 - I called Apollo to check status: 10:46. Again, no one would speak to me, told someone would return my call. Apollo had scheduled my move for Thursday 6/** or Friday 6/**. No pick up. At 9:23pm a “DRIVER” called and said he was coming to pick up my move. He never showed up.

6/**/2015 - I called Apollo to check status: 11:09am. Again, no one would speak to me, told someone would return my call. Apollo had scheduled my move for Thursday 6/** or Friday 6/**. No pick up.

3:54pm a “DRIVER” called and said he was coming to pick up my move. 4:06pm same “DRIVER” called to say he was still coming to pick up our move the next day, 6/**/2015.

6/**/2015 A Subcontractor “DRIVER” came to pick up my house hold goods 12:15. He came in a [redacted]. A small [redacted], not one of the large ones. The excuse was that they could not fit the 18 wheeler moving van up in the apartment complex to pick up my move. “IF this happens at delivery, they will have to charge me.” I told him that the Government moving van was a 18 wheeler and they had no trouble getting up in my apartment complex to drop off my house hold goods. NOR does any other 18 wheel moving van when they are dropping off or picking up house hold goods. I thought it was really a very LOW CLASS way to move. When I called Apollo to ask, the excuse was that sometimes they have to rent a [redacted] because all other trucks are busy. Another time I mentioned this to Apollo and they said that when they cannot access an area, its common to use a [redacted]. I have heard, I think, every excuse of WHY NOT. The “SUB-CONTRACTOR DRIVER” tried to double bill me for the square footage I already contracted with Apollo. I actually had less than I contracted with Apollo to move. He was adding it on again. He was foreign and claimed he

Did not understand what I was trying to tell him. I had used the exact size boxes Apollo told me to use. I had NO additional anything that was not contracted for through Apollo and the contract I have with them.

6/**/2015 We were 8 days late leaving [redacted]. We are almost out of [redacted] and I receive a call from my “SUB-CONTRACTOR DRIVER” and he says that the Money Order I gave him in payment is

“NO GOOD” . I told him to hang up and I would call him back. I did not want to return to [redacted] to

Check out the Money Order. I asked Apollo if it was OK to purchase the Money Order from [redacted]. They said YES. I called [redacted] and I was told the Money Order was OK, what was bad is that the Man

Who tried to cash it did not have a social security number and evidently what he put as a social security number was nonexistent and locked the Money Order up at the bank for 2-4 days. Nothing could be done about this. I called the “SUB-CONTRACTOR DRIVER” back and explained to him he had locked the

Check up for 2-4 days at the bank level because the number he entered as a social security number is nonexistent . He said OK, he offered no resistance, he knew what the problem was.

6/**/2015 – I called Apollo, 3:14 pm to try and tell them what had happened on pick up of my house hold goods/move. I was given someone. I explained everything that had happened and he said he had to request my contract and that would take 5 days. He never called back.

7/*/2015 - I called Apollo 2:08pm. Asked for same employee. Told he would call me back. Never called.

7/**/2015 - I called Apollo 10:05 am and again at 1:25pm. Asked for same employee. Told he would call me back. Never called.

7/**/2015 – filed a complaint with Revdex.com and the [redacted] States Attorney’s Office. They advised that I call Apollo and let them know I had filed a complaint about them.

7/**/2015 - I called Apollo 9:27am. Asked for same employee. He would not talk to me. I was given to

A Supervisor. He wanted to argue. I told him I had filed a complaint with Revdex.com and the [redacted] States Attorney’s Office. They advised that I call Apollo and let them know I had filed a complaint about them. He said he would research my case and get back to me. No one has contacted me. I still do not have my house hold goods.

We apologize that the use of a shuttle truck was needed but it is disclosed on the contract signed by the client that if a shuttle is needed they are responsible for payment of those services and it also discloses on the paperwork that final delivery payment is due by postal money order only.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

My furniture was delivered on July **, 2015. My contract was for $2500.00. I was over charged by $440.00. "THEY" wanted to over charge me $1,481.56. I had less than my contracted furniture/boxes. I have come to discover that Apollo Relocation Services is a brokerage house for "OTHER" moving companies. In my opinion, movingcompanies I would never in a million years used to move my household goods. At this point I do not care what is done. It has been such a nightmare. I did get all myboxes and every piece of furniture they took back on June **, 2015. I am going to eat the $440.00 the second moving company overcharged me. If Revdex.com wants to do something about this, get Apollo to be open that they give your contract to other movers. Apollo IS NOT A MOVING COMPANY. Both the "drivers" that picked up my house hold goods and dropped off had other moving company names on the top of their invoices. They told me to disreguard the names. Thank you for listening. Review: Dear Owner of Apollo,The second week of April, 2015, I contacted Apollo, and booked my move of personal/priceless possessions from Saline MI to Portland OR. I was told at that time it could take up to 8 days. My first pick up to be scheduled on a Saturday 4/**/15. I paid my deposit on 4/**/15 and signed agreement on 4/**/15. I had an adjustment and had to pay another $100 deposit as the agreement went from $1900 to $2400. The movers never showed up nor called, so I called. They delayed my move to following Tuesday. My ex husband piled everything in the driveway to make it easier for the movers. Dispatch said he would take $200 off my total. That did not happen. On 4/**/15, AGAIN, I never received a call, so I decided to call. My ex husband took time off work for 1.5 hours away to get home as they were to be there between 4pm-6pm. No one called no one showed up I called AGAIN. FINALLY after 8PM, they showed up. My ex husband helped them load the truck. He also only paid $500, due to the inconveinance and lack of communication on the drivers and Apollos part. I had my things reduced down considerable amount. 19 totes and 2 suitcases less than the quote. The person that worked on the estimate said sized totes didnt matter. On 4/**/15, AGAIN, I called my stuff was sitting in a warehouse, not picked up yet but scheduled to go to Chicago. Dispatch was to get paperwork to discount my load as there was a considerable decrease of items.Specific dates are fuzzy during this period 4/[redacted]/15 ish (???), as I called MANY TIMES, and was told my things would arrive but no one knows when, however, at this time, I had told Dispatch I had to leave Portland for business for four days and I would be back Monday 5/**/15. It was agreed that my stuff was being shipped out, and stored until I got home AS IT WAS ON ITS WAY. DISPATCH SAID THEY WOULD STORE MY STUFF UNTIL I GET BACK. We scheduled for 5/**/15 DELIVERY.On 5/**/15, I am sitting on a plane of my connecting flight anDesired Settlement: I request a partial refund for the hell they put me through.Victor, and his staff need to be properly taught on how to handle customers.Poor customer service.I have had every right to be frustrated, angry as I was totally let down, and lied to as a customer.I need to have an owner please contact me to discuss.I would be willing to forfeit the refund if an owner would apologize and see to it the staff is handled.Never in my life have I been so taken advantaged of and mistreated... EVER

Business

Response:

We are sincerely sorry for the issues the client had with the move and all parties involved in this move are being made aware of the issues that transpired so that we may make the needed adjustments to insure that it does not occur again and that communication is better with the client. We thank the client for their input.

Business

Response:

We at Apollo Relocation Services strive to provide the highest level of service and we are sincerely sorry if the client feels we missed the mark. Pick up and delivery windows are clearly stated on our paperwork and during peak moving months such as summer we ask that clients be as flexible with their schedules as we strive to have their goods picked up and delivered as close to their requested dates as possible. Again we are sorry for the issues the client has had. We did deliver the service as contracted and hope that the clients uses Apollo Relocation again in the future at which point we would give them a sizable discount for their repeat business.

Review: I contracted Apollo relocation services to move my one bedroom apt in port henry, New York to denver colorado. I spoke to a Bryan on the phone and he was very nice, however he lied to me and said the people that would be picking up my furniture was strictly employees of Apollo, and they do not sub out their movers. Not true. My pickup was suppose to be Sat 10-**-2015. No show.. When I called them on sat, I was informed that they tried to call me. Not true !!! They called my daughter who lives in colorado instead of me. So, here is the real shocker. The truck comes on Sunday 11-*-2015 with 3 movers. Now keep in mind, I had a 1 bedroom unit, no appliances. They packed my stuff, and now is time to do the money orders and paperwork. The guy in charge pulls out roughly 5 or 6 papers for me to sign. He said they were all papers to go back to Apollo letting them know everything was done. After signing this one particular paper, he then proceeded to fill in money amounts, AFTER I signed the paper. I should have grabbed it out of his hands!!!! Now they are holding my furniture for $2300.00 more than my contract, saying I had 84 pieces. I DONT OWN 84 pieces of furniture. Also their were 6 people on site that witnessed what went on this truck. I can assure that it was not 84 pieces. According to other reviews of this company, they have pulled this scam on many other customers. I am a woman of 68, with 2 heart attacks, and cannot endure this kind of stress. I must warn all consumers to NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I will be Persueing an attorney for this matter, because I am not a person that will let them get away with this SCAM.Desired Settlement: I want my furniture delivered to colorado at the contract price quoted.

We apologize for any inconvenience to the customer. We currently have a manager assigned to the customers file. The customer made us aware that she did add more items but felt as if the price should not have gone up. We have requested all the paperwork from the carrier to see exactly what and why the customer is being charged for. We advise the customer to give us a call at ###-###-#### if she has any questions or for real time updates.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved becaus The company told me 4 days ago they were getting the paperwork from the movers, and I still have not heard from them. I said I might have had 2 extra boxes. Does this cost an extra $2300.00 ????? They are scammers, and I informed them that in 2014 president Obama passed the law that they cannot hold my shipment demanding more money. It's called fraud. Please read their reviews, they have 56 complaints for this very same scam.

Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience to the customer. We sent over all the paperwork to the customer via email, on November 6th. As well as calling her and discussing all the overages with the customer. However the customer was very angry and hung up on the customer care representative. We advise the customer to give one of our customer care representatives a call at ###-###-####.

This Company is Online Fraud Company. I booked for relocation from Orlando to NJ the quote and paid 500$ advance and they did not call u back until you till that date I call them to check for the status, they told me they will come only by mid night.
on mid night around 11.35pm, 2 rowdy to came my apartment they refuse to show the Id and asking for 2000$ + Advance as cash only to start loading. we ask for reason they shoot against me and my wife trying to broke the my item in my house we called my neighbor immediately run away from the house. next day I call the customer support they they told that since I refused the serious the they told will not refund the advance.

Called 12/** to get a quote on moving. They were within my budget and I booked with them as they promised the best services.

1. Never called to tell me when the movers would arrive (I agreed to a window of 1-2 days)

2. Called everyday and left a voicemail to update some items on the truck. I was only emailed a "request to move" email.

3. Charged $75 for boxes and packing matterial for mattresses and artwork that never arrived with the moving truck

4. They lied to me about contacting my corporate office for payment

5. Told me to call my corporate office and arrange payment myself because they wouldn't help me. Even though during the booking Clint informed me he would call and get payments arranged with my company.

6. Delivered 5 days after the promised delivery date. This means I had to rent a hotel for 5 nights

7. Still has yet to call me to schedule

Delivery or return the multiple phone calls to speak to someone

8. If I did speak to someone at Apollo they "promised to call back" and never did.

I was hesitant at first to hire a mover but I am glad I hired Apollo relocation. The quote was easy to understand and on move day they only charged me the estimate. The packing was well done and they took the beds apart and then put them together on delivery so me and my family only had to pack the boxes at the end. great crew and company.

Review: I booked a moving service on 9/**/2015 and cancelled on 9/**/2012. The moving date on my contract states the pick up on either 9/** or 9/**. They have a no refund policy if cancelled within ten days of the move. I called to cancel within before the ten day policy however they refused a full refund, but offered a partial refund which I refused. They said I am guilty of theft of services. I stopped payment on my credit card. I now see how they have a C- rating. I found they are not movers, but brokers.Desired Settlement: Refund my money from these rip off artists.

Business

Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience to the customer. Since the customer chose to cancel within the cancellation window and a truck and carrier was already dispatched, the customer is unfortunately ineligible for a refund, as stated on our cancellation policy three (3) times before a customer electronically signs for the agreement: Deposits are 100% refundable with No Cancellation Fee or Additional Charges for moves cancelled outside ten (10) business days (weekends and federal holidays excluded) prior to the first estimated pack or load date. All cancellation and refund requests must be sent in writing via e-mail to [redacted] Cancellation requests sent to Apollo Relocation Services Inc. after normal business hours (6:00 PM EST) will be considered received on the following business day.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I cancelled the order outside their 10 day window. The truck has not been dispatched as they are only two towns away from my location and not "on the way". I placed the order on 9/**/15 and cancelled it on 9/**/15. Ten days would have made it 9/**/15. The pick up date was either 9/** or 9/**. I have stopped payment with the credit card company.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience to the customer. The customer signed of on the dates of 9/**/2015-9/**/2015, and the customer cancelled 9/**/15. In order for the customer to be eligible for their refund is to be outside of (10) business days. Therefore the customer is not eligible for a refund.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I was within the cancellation period as the pick up was not scheduled within the 10 day period. This company has a horrible rating with the Revdex.com for deceptive practices for the same reason. They are a relocation service, not a moving company. They told me that a truck was on the way. The trucking firm they were to use was based one town away from me so how could it be on the way for a pick up ten days later? According to the reports I read about them this is a common practice with them. I refuse to pay the rip off rate they are trying to collect. My credit card company has stopped payment to them already.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

I have just cancelled my move as we are no longer leaving thus not requiring their services. I had placed a call to their office on Tuesday 10/*/2015 to speak with someone directly and to cancel our move immediately.

I was told by their employee that I would have to speak with a manager to complete their cancellation process. After waiting over two days for a response that never came, I called again and was told that I am no longer within the window for my deposit to be refunded. My initial call was 10/*, I called again on 10/* at 6:24pm. I missed the 10 day window by 24 minutes. The pickup date was for 10/**/2015.

Had the person I spoken with on 10/* told me an email would have been sufficient, and that speaking with a manager was NOT in fact REQUIRED, I would have been within my window.

To make matters worse, upon further digging after this call, I have found out that they WERE in fact brokers after I was repeatedly assured over the phone they were the actual carrier and NOT brokers, all while being pressured to give a deposit that very second. I was flat out lied to when I asked the direct question if they were brokers.

Review: I was moving to California and looking for a mover. Then I spoke with Christine D[redacted] of Appollo Relocation Service.

She told me $3400 and she asked me $1400 deposit so I paid on July [redacted] 2015. D[redacted] said my moving date is 8/**/2015 so I purchased the air ticket to California. I emailed certificate of Insurance information to D[redacted] on 7/**/2015.

I called 8/**/2015 to make sure about my move, Seth who said supervisor scolded me I purchased a ticket already. Then I must know they are not good company. 8/**/2015 the mover never showed up. Appllo Relocation told me the move is 9/*/2015 so I changed my flight to 9/*/2015. The mover did not come 9/*/2015 neither.

9/*/2015 finally the mover came but they asked me $6000 more to move.

I have mentally suffered so much but my financial loss is total of $3100. (deposit to Appollo $1400, changed air twice $400, I had to stay in the apartment 2 weeks extra $1300)

Please stop doing the business of this fraud company.Desired Settlement: They must return at least $1400 of deposit.

Business

Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience to the customer. However the carrier assigned to the move was ready to pick up the customer on the agreed upon dates. However the office management of the customers building did not grant permission for the move to be serviced, since the elevator was not reserved by the customer. Out of good faith we reassigned the move to a new carrier at no cost, and also offered the customer compensation for any inconvenience. Unfortunately when our carrier arrived the customer refused all service.

Review: Apollo did not pick-up or deliver furniture from Texas to CA. as agreed upon. When furniture was picked up(4 days later), driver from All Over The State Moving& Storage added on an additional $600. His explanation was faulty and against what Apollo had quoted. Furniture delivered to CA and was damaged, one item double tagged, an additional dresser put on order that did not belong to me, and otherwise, list was identical to initial itemized list communicated to Apollo when the "not to exceed" estimate was quoted.Desired Settlement: I agreed to pay $1600 for a small move from Texas to CA . I was quoted a 'not to exceed' price based upon my description of items. Driver claimed there was an excess in cubic feet. There was no proof of initial estimated cubic feet nor recalculated cubic feet, just totals I was charged $2200. I want my refund of $600.

Business

Response:

We provided the client a not to exceed estimate based on a particular inventory. On move day the client had additional pieces and some pieces that were larger than first indicated. The quote was based on cubic feet and the client was explained they had to pay for additional cubic feet at the rate quoted we did honor the quote we did not violate the contract and we did provide the service unfortunately with long-distance moves some damages can occur if the furniture is pressed wood which it was however the client will be reimbursed through their included moving insurance.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: First, business does not acknowledge the delay in pick-up. The carrier did not show up until end of second day. When drivers entered the home they commented about how small the move was, and how packed up everything was. They requested $500 cash with no discussion about more items or larger items. When we did not have cash they left. It started raining and they did not return. We flew out of town early the next morning. When I finally got a hold o business 2 days later, they said they were unaware?Second, the 2nd carrier arrives at home. Driver enters and claims more items and larger items, he'll need additional $600. This took him eyeballing the items in less than 10 minutes. Every large item had been discussed with the business previously. I was recommended to go to Home Depot to purchase a large TV box, a box spring and mattress cover and boxes to save money. I purchased 10 medium boxes and 5 small boxes, no large or extra large. I discussed the large framed mirror and the large unframed picture. I told them about the large plastic storage bin. The business added 5 boxes making it 15, while I wanted 10. They said they wanted to make sure I did not go over. Please see list I have included. They gave me a quote based on the lengthy discussion. They said they then used a computer program to determine the cubic feet, hence the quote. The 2nd carrier creates another list. This list looks longer but they use a line for each item while business would use one line and say 6 chairs. Carefully scrutinizing the two list, they seem pretty similar to conclude the quote should be similar. Business will not address the 2nd carrier list. The response of the business to say that their were additional items and items were larger than described are statements with no particulars. They have both list. I accepted doing business with them based upon their initial quote.Third, the furniture was wrapped very poorly. To justify the damage by saying 'hardy board' and long moves, things happen is not a good reason. The damaged items were not hardy board, the antique oak foot board is still missing, and the dresser they packed in our load that was not ours has never been addressed.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience to the customer. The customer’s original inventory is the following:A water Cooler, 2 Wingback chairs,6 Dining chairs, 1 Dining Table, 1 Entertainment Center, TV, 10 Boxes, 5 Smallboxes, 1 Plastic Bin, 1 Footboard, 1 Headboard, Mattress, Ladder, Lamp, LibraryTable, Mirror, 2 Paintings. The revised written estimate lists the following for the customer’s inventory: 1 Table, 5 Chairs, 2 Leg chair’s,5 Pictures, 3 Plastic Bins, 8 boxes, TV, Ladder, Front Board, Head Board,Mattress, Foot Board, Box Spring, Desk, chaise lounge,3 side boards, The customer was provided a new revised written estimate for 535 cubic feet, which the customer agreed and signed on. The customer originally agreed to 315 cubic feet but in fact had more cubic feet than agreed upon, and had to pay the difference. The customer can call the claim phone number directly at ###-###-#### for compensation on damages and delays.

Consumer

Response:

I have received $100 from my insurance file claim - woefully inadequate for the damage to my furniture. I will have to dispose of antique desk since footboard was never found. Also, handles were lost from the desk. Big chunk out of my DR table leg, but I fixed it. The TV remote control and cables were never found. Overall, I guess $100 is better than nothing.

Review: I booked a truck with Apollo Relocation Services on 8/**/15

At that time I was asked to place a deposit to hold the trip and I was also given a pick up dates 8/**-8/**. On 8/** I was contacted by [redacted] and told a truck would be coming the following day. Anywhere between 9-1. I took the day off of work and waited. Only to be called by dispatch at 11:00 to tell me they could not puck up my load due to the pick up prior being larger than estimated. But that they would be there the following day. I contacted Apollo Relocation services I spoke to a rep named Sam during the conversation I requested that my deposit of 1000 be refunded to me since they we unable to deliver and truck to me when we had agrees. After going around and around with her she promised me a truck would be here the following day. I expressed with her that I no longer wanted to deal with their company and wanted a refund. This was stated several time through put the conversation. She told me that she could not give me a refund but assured me a truck would be there the next day and I was to be the very first pick up. I told her I was expect to be compensated for the days of missed worked. But before she could put the order in for a new truck I had to resign a contract with them. I told her I did not understand what the needs was for a new contact since the previous one was now voided. Reluctantly I signed. The next morning the movers contacted me and said they would be there in 2 hours to pick up my stuff. It took long than quoted. When they arrived the started placing stickers on all the items that were to be moved. While the workers were loading the truck the foreman pulled put paperwork. After the truck was loaded and I am reading the paperwork I noticed thar amount of money that was expected on delivery was way mire than I was told. He informed me it was due to the load being omg larger than they thought but to keep signing the papers because it was "all good" I to him it a as not all good and I felt like I was betting ripped off. I needed to know that the amount was. It going to increase on delivery since they require. He continued to tell me it was all good. After all my items were on the truck. After the truck was gone I contacted Apollo Relocation Services. And was told they would call us back.Desired Settlement: I would like the original price that was agreed upon to stand as well as be compensated for the 2 days of missed worked in the amount 260.16

At first things seemed to be on great terms with the company. They pretended to show interest in my needs/concerns for my move. They attempted to schedule all the needed services I needed from my move, they quoted me a price and even began to initialize to render a payment from me. Not once did the company mention that they were a broker and that the had no affiliation with fleet. After reviewing other reviews regarding this company. Heard a multitude of complaints about how the nickel and dime their clients. So alarmed by this, I contacted the representative who reached out to me for the service contracts and signatures. She never responded to my phone call or my email regarding my interest to cancel my services since I read in the contract terms that the company stated they will not be responsible for any of my personal belongings and my car that is extremely expensive, that I also was shipping through them. After contacting the customer service department, they advised me that I could not get my deposits back from them and that I should reconsider using other companies. I had to then contact my bank to dispute the charges since Apollo would not refund me my money. Then after I expressed to the representative that contacted me the next day regarding my moving dates, I advised him that I would no longer be considering his company for my travels and move and that I had the charges reserved to get my deposits back from his company, he responded and I quote "You won't be getting back your money, so good luck with those disputes buddy!" This entire interaction was completely dreadful and I felt like they tried and almost were able to take advantage of me, since this was my first time hiring a moving company. I just don't think it was okay for Apollo to hide the fact that they weren't a company with fleet transportation and outsourced with different vendors instead of taking responsibility for the services they provide to their clients. I would not recommend their company to anymore who plans on moving. They seem to have failed at understanding the concept of (full disclosure).
