The complainant did speak with one of our team leads on 06/24. She explained her policy to her once again and the rental reimbursement coverage in which she did not ask to have as part of her policy. She did ask about the tow, which Unique will cover one tow and we had paid out on a tow for the complainant previously. At this time, we have emailed the estimate to her shop and issued the tow payment.  Unique, as many other companies, work through a network of independent agents who sell various products to consumers. The complainant's rebuttal makes it seem that her complaint is not with Unique truly, but with her agent. As for her calls that she has full coverage, this means that she does not just have liability insurance but comp and collision as well. Many times, this is not explained very well to the consumers or they do not review their coverage with their agents at the time of purchase.Thank you,[redacted]

oil leakage is non-accident related damage. The vehicle is 10 years old and wear and tear will take its toll on vehicles. The body shop said this is non-accident related, Unique's physical damage manager said it is non-accident related and the complainant then mentioned that her car jumped a median. A point which she did not mention early on in the investigation.At this time, our team supervisor handling the claim explained to the complainant that we will order a police report and once we review the report, we will make a decision on this issue. it is a duplicate.  Please explain how they have not responded to my auto claim filed 2/17/16 (claim #[redacted].  Adjuster Robin [redacted] has not responded.  I have also sent the police crash report verifying fault of vehicle insured by Unique Insurance.  The only thing unique is the pure abscence of customer service.

adjuster advised her of the deductible and how payment is distributed. The complainant then stated that she was told she would need to pay the deductible then not anything over that amount. a claim through his own carrier who would then subrogate for reimbursement. However, this gentleman was driving without insurance and what the claims supervisor told him was that he should get insurance and this is why. The complainant did not like the response provided to him by the team supervisor and became aggressive. The supervisor advised him that he was ending the call and did so. At this time, the complainant's vehicle is in the repair shop and a check was issued to pay for the repairs.Thank you again,[redacted]

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.This complainant was offered 50% of the estimate since no police report was made on site and there were no witnesses; liability is questionable, especially since our insured says there was another vehicle on the scene that fled. We made an...

offer to the complainant for 50% of the estimate. She wanted to dispute the offer however, the supervisor had already reviewed the file and stood by the 50%. We have contacted the complainant since then and she has been aggressive with our claims associates on the phone. At this time, Unique's offer stands at 50%.Thank you again,[redacted]

Unfortunately, this does not seem like it will end with a satisfactory conclusion and is turning into a situation of "he said/she said"The complainant contacted me directly via phone Friday and told me that none of the notes in our claim were factual. The adjuster working on this claim is very competent at his job and would have no reason to doctor these notes in my view. While I apologized to the complainant about her situation and explained to her that I would get the adjuster to contact her, she continued to say that nobody would return her call and when I said that I would return her call, she said she didn't believe me. I even provided my direct line and she said, Why should I call you back, you should call me back. When I said I would call her back, she again said she didn't believe me.Shortly thereafter, the adjuster contacted her and explained everything to her. Today, an offer was made and we are awaiting her response.We apologize to the complainant and hope this claim is moving to resolution.

I am rejecting this response because: I did see some action - I got a call from a claims adjuster asking for more information, I submitted the quote and pictures, and once again was notified that it was received. I have tried multiple times to reach out the claims adjuster, Laura, but until today she never answered the phone and her message box was full. I was finally able to leave a voice message today (2/10/16) at 11:50 am. The issue has still not be resolved.
