This inquiry has been addressed with the customer through the Attorney General in Florida We explained to Mr [redacted] that Briggs & Stratton purchases the right to use the Husqvarna name on the pressure washer in question Briggs & Stratton Power Products is displayed on the box, on the data tag on the unit and on the product operator's manual The customer was not interested in returning the product to the retailer but requested monetary compensation Briggs & Stratton has declined making this concession to Mr [redacted]

Carburetor cleaning is a fuel related issue and not a manufacturing defect Briggs & Stratton will reimburse customer for this repair as a customer courtesy

Briggs & Stratton authorized a complete diagnostic of the engineA Briggs & Stratton Technician reviewed the findings Dirt ingestion was found throughout the engine, the filter was not installed properly, the sides of the filter base and filter itself are very dirty The cylinder is very gray from dirt ingestion which will cause the engine to use a lot of oil but not necessarily smoke Oil in the crankcase is very thick and dirtyThese are maintenance issues and not warranty repairs

The returned part was received by Briggs & Stratton on June The return/credit cleared the Briggs & Stratton accounting department on June and was forwarded to the customer's credit card company for refund into his account

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The response from the company is unacceptableI was contacted by a representative from the company yesterday eveningWe did not agree on anythingShe stated she would send some "fuel stabilizer to me"I have been using fuel stabilizer for yearsI use "Sta bil"I replace the fuel for mower use once per monthGasoline with ethanol has a usability periodI also empty the mowers of fuel and start them until they no longer runThere is nothing further I can do stop this clear manufacturer defect.This mower has a plastic carburator bowl that evidently holds fluid even after the mower can no longer obtain gas to runThat is a clear defectI also informed the person who contacted me that the repair facility told me and I quote "Murray mowers are a piece of crap and these are throw away mowers" You must say that phrase with a clear southern/country drawl.Without question,this is the absolute worse mower I have ever purchasedWith Tecumseh, Ariens, Honda, and Kohler products out there, I will take my business elsewhereI will also pass along my complaint to message boards and internet sites that field complaints concerning murray mowers and even the press if necessaryi am clearly not alone with this issue and perhaps a class action suit is what this company needsWith a simple Google search, thousands of other users have the same or similar starting problems that I am having with this mowerI did not do my due diligence in researching this before I bought the mower because I bought it based upon prior reputationI will not make that mistake again.I would also invite you to do a simple You Tube search on that particular series of enginesThey are so bad there is a tutorial video on how to remove the carburator and clean it out due to the non-starting issueHonestly, that mower is simply not even worth the trouble.I am not holding my breath about the fuel stabilizer either as she never confirmed my addressTheir customer service as far as I am concerned is worthless as well as their mowing product.I do not accept their response and never will Regards, [redacted] ***

Per the authorized Briggs & Stratton dealer, in June the engine was presented with moisture in the fuel, carburetor was replaced at no charge to customer, subsequent non-starting issue in Aug was also moisture in fuel, dealer flushed fuel system at no charge to customer Mar the engine was presented to dealer low on oil with fouled spark plug and dirty carburetor No manufacturing defects found, not a warranty repair

We are working with the Customer and a servicing dealer to see if we can reach an amicable solution.We will advise upon resolve-- [redacted] & [redacted]

I've contacted the customer again and explained that the mower engine must go to a B&S dealer for inspectionbefore any further assessments can be made I also explained that the mower is out of the warranty time frame If a dealer finds a manufacturingdefect we can review for any out of warranty considerations

Briggs & Stratton will be replacing the engine as a customer courtesy, customer has agreed to be responsible for the installation charges

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]well I am standing by my original decision that Briggs engine 725ex is a setup by Briggs to steal from the american public, designed to quit working without ability to repair so as to increase sales It does not take a rocket scientist to understand and repair small engines, clean a carberator or change the oil and air filter All of which were ***e each and every year, I could care a less what briggs stands by, it sure is not their word or craftsmanship If you want an impartial opinion on the mower (if you could stand the scrutiny) I will take it to a non briggs authorized service center and we (as in briggs and I will agree to bide by His or Her decision.)

*** ***I'm a home owner who cuts my small yard twice a month (hour job)A lawn mower should last more then a year, half of which it wasn't usedI bought it in late July (use) Aug 2015 (2) Sep 2015 (2) Oct 2015 (2) I like to mow in the winter to keep the yard up (3) March 2016 (1) Apr (2) May 2016 (2) June (2) July (1) total uses - total hours Where did the oil go? I obviously filled it with oil new or it would never have startedThere were no oil leaks and no smokeHave the O rings been examined? So far as I know all that the local B&S shop did was look into the hole blown in the crankcaseB&S warranty is full of caveats and disclaimers designed to avoid responsibility should they so choseYear is not enough, by anyone's measureI am not unreasonable and will withdraw my complaint with some sort of evidence*** ***
