Revdex.com:
I was called by *** at Briggs and Stratton, on April 29th and offered a
replacement of the defective device with an 8kW device *** refused to tell me his last name He intially offered me only yr of warranty on the new device, which I rejected He eventually agreed to give me two years of warranty I also insisted he cover the cost of installing the new device which he agreed to do He asked if I would be OK with Murray's installing the device I said I would if they completed the process within a month, given their history of protracted delays in dealing with a complaint Of note, there were no other local options for companies that install their products.*** called me back on May 2, to confirm that they are waiting on Murrays to get back to them with an installation date. With these details clarified, I can now say that I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Revdex.com:' the size has nothing to do with it, is a matter of buying a Husqvarna that's mark Husqvarna when in fact it is a Briggs and Stratton its like buying a BMW and find out its only a BMW by name when in fact its a Volkswagen. I bought it because of the name not the size. I seen one that was cheaper but it was not a Husqvarna so I passed it by and found another that was not a Husqvarna , so I went back and bought the Husqvarna that's what I thought I was getting and that's what I paid for but did not get a Husqvarna its a lowly Briggs and Stratton advertising is what this matter is all about when in fact a Briggs and Stratton would cost me a lot less if I bought a Briggs and Stratton by name its not how big the hose is in fact the one I had before the hose was the same length at this machine , you should say on the Box and on the machine Briggs and Stratton not Husqvarna that is written all over this power washerunder handed way of making money

The Customer was sent the following information 9/2/This is not a case of manufacturing defect.Dear Mr. ***, We received a copy ofthe letter you sent to the Revdex.com regarding your engine which was taken to ***
*** *** and their analysis revealed that the engine did not fail
do to adefect in material or workmanship. You were not in agreement with their findings, and they then called in their FieldRepresentative from their distributor *** *** in Mequon Wisconsin, ( ***
*** ) who inspected your engine and *** also came to the conclusion thatthe engine failure was not a warrantable repair. We were informed that you had been advised that you had the option of having the dealer ship theengine to Briggs & Stratton in Menomonee Falls for evaluation by ourinspectorsTo our knowledge, the dealer informed us that you were going todiscuss this and let us know how you wanted to proceed. Thank you We did hear back fromyou on August 3rd, when you requested a call back from BriggsI called you on8/and left a voice message, and later that day you called and we spoke atwhich time I informed you of the Disputed Warranty procedure and you were goingto contact the dealer with your decision. When the Revdex.com letterwas received, I called the dealer to find out if your mower was still at theirshop, and was informed by *** that they were instructed by you to scrap theunitI asked *** to re-check and he confirmed that they no longer had yourmower in their shop, and their work order noted the unit had been scrapped, perthe customer's request. We will be informingthe Revdex.com that your mower has been scrapped with no further opportunity toinspect the consumers engine and we will be closing our case # ***

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]*** failed to mention a few things.1) *** outdoor power equipment repair is NOT a few miles away it is miles (minutes away)2) *** cannot even get the mower/engine in for at least weeks!3) After the engine is looked at and if it is covered under the warranty it takes Briggs & Stratton 1-days to authorize the repair if they decide to cover it.This mower/engine is months old and should NOT be having any problems if it was not due to a defective engine. This is an unsatisfactory response to the problem with this engine. *** also failed to mention this mower is 66" (1/feet wide)It is not a mower you just put in the bed of your pickup to transferIt has to be put on a flat bed trailer and some of the authorized dealers could not even service it due to the fact it would not fit through their doors. Meanwhile while I have to wait at least 4-weeks for this mower to be looked at and then authorized to be repaired if the warranty covers itMygrass cannot be cut due to the fact I cannot spend another $2,for another mower and cannot mow acres of land with a push mower, which I do not have any wayI spent two days on the phone with this company and it has been a total waste of time. They DO NOT honor their warranty on a product that is obviously defective!
