The consumer's request was verified and researched via case 1849341 on 2/12/2016. The auction announcement was verified as Left & Right Apron repaired by the reporting source and in turn will remain as part of the vehicle's history. The consumer should work with who they purchased the vehicle...

from for further dispute. Source information cannot be released due to contractual agreements.

The consumer's record dispute was researched via case [redacted] and after further research and verification the event was removed on 4/18/2016 and Ms. was advised both via phone and email.  A copy of the corrected report was provided at that time.

Our records indicate that on January 3, 2017, [redacted] sent us a copy of the police report, which showed there was no airbag deployment. As a result, we removed the "Airbag Deployed" statement from the Vehicle History Report and sent her an email confirming the correction. I have attached a copy of...

the corrected Vehicle History Report for [redacted] records.

the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

AutoCheck is a scam consumers....they have unreliable information in assisting consumers when making the purchase or researching a vehicle's history. Cheap data transfer and not enough information gathering spells "incomplete reports" AutoCheck when contacted will not refund your money nor offer any support for it's garbage reports they state "sorry that's the only data we have" I don't think consumer assistance in purchasing a vehicle lies solely on "registration renewal"

I want my money back....$99.99

I'm pissed ....can't you see this !!!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
In our case, the erroneous information was finally removed.  However, their failure to remove it in a timely manner and unwillingness to let us know which police department had the alleged (now confirmed erroneous) police report is unacceptable for consumers.  They do not have the right to post information about a consumer's vehicle but not provide the consumer with the "source" of their information.  They indicated that they could not violate the privacy of their "source."  If somebody has provided false information about the condition of my vehicle it affects the value of my vehicle.  The representative tried to hide behind the fact that it was not their information and the accuracy is the responsibility of the source of the information.  That is absolutely false.  They are providing a "service" that people pay for that is supposed to accurately state the condition of vehicles based on their accident and repair history.  Since they are providing the "service" and being paid for that "service" they are legally responsible for the accuracy of the information and they must remove inaccurate information promptly.  If I had not continued to push them to remove the information, their error would have cost me $5000 in the lease deal that I obtained.  The "privacy" of a police department is not guaranteed.  It is a public institution and if they have records of an accident involving the vehicle I own, I am allowed to see that information.  Fix your process for timely resolution of disputes.  3-5 business days is not acceptable in some cases.

In order to properly research this matter and respond to this complaint, I would ask the complainant to provide the VIN # of the vehicle in question. Once I receive this information, I will thoroughly research the complainant's concern and respond. Thank you!

We have reviewed [redacted] complaint and must respectfully decline her request for $1500. Experian Automotive, AutoCheck is a repository for data and we display information as reported...

by proprietary sources. When data is disputed we work with our reporting sources for verification. Inquiries are answered during business hours in the order in which they are received, and due volume and varying research requirements resolution times may vary. [redacted] case [redacted] was managed within 5 business days. The reporting source responded with their verification and the report was updated at that time. It is unfortunate that [redacted] had to make the decision to sell her vehicle before our research was completed, but the loss is not the result of any wrong doing by Experian.

The consumer should be informed that there are many different factors
that affect the score.  Year, make,
model, mileage, owners, etc., can all play a part in the overall score of the vehicle.  It is also important that the consumer know,
the score is not based on a scale of 0-100 but...

is based on how the vehicle
rates when compared to vehicles of the similar make and class.  More information on the factors influencing
the score are provided on the AutoCheck report for the vehicle.  The consumer can view the report online and
click on “About the Score” link.
The consumer can visit also www.autocheck.com
for more information on our product and the AutoCheck Score.

the life of a vehicle relative to its vehicle identification number (VIN). The AutoCheck vehicle history report will call out certain historical pieces which may be of importance to a customer. The odometer readings reported which are flagging odometer inconsistencies were reported by various State DMVs in regards to different titles which this vehicle has held. As a repository for data, Experian Automotive will publish data received by originating data sources. At this time the events will remain reports as part of the vehicle's history based on the data reported and on file with the New York Department of Motor Vehicles. The odometer reading in question is listed on the vehicle’s title record on file with the New York DMV. As long as the odometer reading is on file with the NY DMV, it will remain as part of the vehicle’s history. If the odometer reading is on file with the state in error, Mr. [redacted] should contact the NY DMV directly for correction. Mr. [redacted] may provide supporting documentation of correction by the New York DMV to Experian Automotive via email to [email protected] with reference to case #[redacted] upon which we will review further for possible amendment to the AutoCheck vehicle history report. For more information, please go to AutoCheck.com for a complete list of frequently asked questions. You can also view our terms and conditions by clicking the following link: http://www.autocheck.com/vehiclehistory/autocheck/en/termsOfUse

reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. While it is true that they did correct their reporting records after I supplied them with documentation to prove the correct mileage they made no offer to reimburse me the fee I had to pay to be able to access the information they were providing to prospective customers.  After receiiving information from prospective customers that my mileage claims did not match the Autocheck report it was necessary for me to pay the Autocheck fee to discover what information they were inaccurately reporting concerning my vehicle.  I feel that since their information was in error I should be reimbursed for that fee.

We have reviewed [redacted] concerns regarding discrepancies reflected on the AutoCheck report for VIN #[redacted]. AutoCheck receives information as is from various sources. We...

are not informed of any discrepancies upon receipt of the data until it is disputed by an individual or business entity. If the data is deemed inaccurate, we remove the data. However, that is contingent upon supporting evidence from our data sources and contacts. On August 22, 2016, [redacted] emailed us a copy of the title associated with the vehicle above. Based on the information provided on that title, we removed the odometer listing for the September 17, 2014, event. There was also a dispute regarding the location associated with the accident/damage event dated September 9, 2014. We were able to verify the event was a match to the VIN # listed above. However, we were not able to verify the location of this event. Therefore, it was removed from the AutoCheck report and an email was sent to [redacted] on August 23, 2016, to confirm this update.

The response from AutoCheck has nothing to do with my complaint. It is clearly a response to another complaint. Even the name is not my name.

We have reviewed the case details and consumer’s concerns regarding
the Auction Announced Frame Damage record showing on AutoCheck.  After careful review and consideration, we
have concluded that we will not be able to remove the record because the data
source that provided us the...

information confirmed the announcement at the time
of sale in their systems back in 2011.
The selling party at that time, would have been informed that an
announcement of frame damage due to the alterations on the frame, would have to
be reported prior to moving forward with a sale.  The buying party would have also been
informed of the announcement.
AutoCheck has no reason to doubt that the modifications done to the
vehicle’s frame to accommodate a wheelchair lift were in compliance and
performed by qualified professionals.  However,
the auctions that report the information to AutoCheck follow their own specific
guidelines for what constitutes as frame damage in their line of business.  In most cases, this would be the result of any
type of damage, modification, welds, etc., that impact the vehicle’s originally
manufactured frame specifications / measurements.
At this point, we recommend that the consumer present supporting
documentation to any of the buying parties that might be interested in
purchasing their vehicle that explains exactly what has been done.
