patronage, and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.  We strive to provide clear and accurate information our customer’s orders and regret the miscommunication [redacted] received regarding our textbook return policy.    We understand the [redacted] attempted to return an online textbook purchase to her local Barnes & Noble store.  However, the store denied a refund to [redacted] original method of payment for the return.  As stated on our Barnes & Noble website helpdesk, under the heading, Returning Items Bought from Barnes & Noble.com, we note that “Textbook purchases and textbook rental orders placed on BN.com cannot be returned to Barnes & Noble stores.”   We can confirm that our regional store manager reached out to [redacted] on May **, 2016 and apologized for the inconvenience she experience and for any service she received which did not meet our high standards.  [redacted] was advised that the customer service issues have been addressed with the store personnel.   In addition, [redacted] was sent a prepaid return label to facilitate the return of the merchandise to our Barnes & Noble warehouse.  We can confirm that a refund was processed to [redacted] original method of payment in the amount of $82. 31 on May **, 2016.   If [redacted] requires any further assistance, she may contact me directly at ###-###-#### M-F 9am – 5:30pm EST.  Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any further questions or concerns.   Respectfully,       Cavellene L[redacted] Sr. Consumer Affairs Advocate Barnes & Noble [redacted]

Membership account.   We have been able to locate [redacted]’s Barnes & Noble Membership account and can confirm that the account is active and available for use.  It appears that [redacted] has had several accounts with us under various email addresses.  The business now, after they turned me into collections and I paid a fine for something that I was never told...

about or contacted regarding a remaining balance and they tried to charge my card 13 times, sent me a generic email stating "[redacted]
 This is almost a year too late, I [redacted] am on the Barnes and Noble account, not my husband [redacted] and they still did not respond to the fact that they never contacted me via email or phone to notify me of a balance that I should not have accrued or showed me any proof of the original order which I had requested.  I also got this email:[redacted]

provided in [redacted]’s complaint was placed via the online account registered to [redacted] and was shipped to [redacted]’s address also provided on the complaint.  We also show that several other purchases were made via the same account over the past year, which were not reported as unauthorized [redacted].  Therefore, we do not consider this a fraudulent purchase.   After a thorough research, we could not locate any contacts from [redacted] to sales audit group who handles fraudulent inquiries.  All fraudulent purchases are generally flagged and immediately refunded.  We also advise our customers to alert the credit card issuer of the fraudulent purchase so that the card can be deactivated.    We do have record of an email from [redacted] to our customer service department on October **, 2016 indicating she will be returning the order.  As stated on our website, shipping fees are not refundable and therefore we will not be able to honor [redacted]’s request for a refund of the shipping fees incurred.   If [redacted] requires any further assistance, she may contact me directly at ###-###-#### M-F 9am – 5:30pm EST.  Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any further questions or concerns.   Respectfully,       Cavellene L[redacted]         Sr. Consumer Affairs Advocate Barnes & Noble [redacted]

Revdex.com:Customer Service emailed me a response to my email I sent them regarding the $10 gift card. They told me that I was lying and that I did receive a $25 gift card. I called customer service and talked to a 4th manager. She was competent and was able to research the problem. I...

was mailed someone else's gift card for $10. She resolved the problem by issuing a $40 gift card ($15 for what was missing and another $25 for the hassle). I received that gift card today.

 Barnes and Noble has contacted me indicating they would issue me a one time courtesy refund if I returned the...

book to the 3rd party seller.  They stated the refund would be issued by Barnes and Noble the same way the payment was made after the 3rd party seller notified them of the return.  I returned using the mailing label B&N provided. The book was delivered to the address on the shipping label on 07/[redacted]2015 but to date I have not received the refund.
