Revdex.com:At this time, my complaint, ID [redacted] regarding Barnesandnoble.com LLC has been resolved. For the books that I pre-ordered, when they are released, I need to check the Barnes & Noble website to see how much they are selling the ebook for on the release date.  If there is a discrepancy (which so far I have had to make about 6 calls to them), I contact them and ask that I be credited for the difference.  Each call takes about 15 minutes and then I need to follow up to insure that the credit is back into my account.  I believe I still have about a dozen or so books that I pre-ordered, so I'll need to take these steps upon the book release date.  From now on, I'm just ordering books when they are released.Unfortunately, I don't know if any other ebook preorder customers are unaware that they are being overcharged.  So far, I've had discrepancies of $4.50, $4.00 as well as a few $2.00.

maintain clear and accurate information on our website regarding our delivery timeframes and truly regret for [redacted] order was not delivered within the anticipated timeframe.  Our records indicate that [redacted] placed an order from the Marketplace section of our website on June *, 2017. Our B&N Marketplace gives BN.com customers access to tens of millions of items provided by our Sellers - including used, out of print, rare, and collectible books, music, and movies. When an item is purchased from one of our Marketplace Sellers, that Seller ships the item directly to the customer.  Barnes & Noble facilitates the transaction, guaranteeing the security of your payment information and covering your purchase with our easy returns policy. The Authorized Seller accepted and shipped [redacted]’s order on June *, 2017 via Express Domestic shipping.  This method generally takes anywhere from 3-6 business days to arrive.  We anticipated delivery of the order on or around June **, 2017.   As [redacted]’s order was not delivered within the anticipated timeframe, we reached out to the Authorized Seller for more information.  Unfortunately, the Authorized Seller did not obtain any tracking information and was unable to confirm the status of the shipment.  We therefore issued a full refund back to [redacted]’s original method of payment, in the amount of $9.61.  The refund was completed on June **, 2017.  We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused [redacted]. If [redacted] requires any further assistance, he may contact me directly at ###-###-#### M – F 9am – 5:30pm EST.  Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any further questions or concerns. Respectfully,   Cavellene L[redacted]Sr. Consumer Affairs AdvocateBarnes & Noble[redacted]

When [redacted] contacted our customer service department September **, 2014 to report the purchase error, the refund was immediately processed in the amount of $2.99 to [redacted]’s original method. 
 
If [redacted] still has not received her refund, she may provide refund transaction reference # [redacted] to her financial institution as proof that the process has been completed on our end.

I am aware that the tracking information indicates that the book was delivered as customer service has told me at least 3 times over the phone and you have indicated this in your email. However, the book was NOT delivered to my house and ultimately I had to order the book from [redacted].

company. They did not, however, restore the few dollars that should have still been on my account balance. Because the balance that should have been restored involves very little money, I am willing to consider the issue resolved.The more important point overall is not the money involved but the extremely poor business practices employed by Barns & Nobel. They obviously have little respect for their customers or the Revdex.com. Their failure to communicate with a customer having a problem or the Revdex.com with a formal complaint shows an arrogance that should not be ignored. I strongly urge your organization to warn the public about this company's poor handling of consumer complaints.Thank you very much for your efforts in this matter. It's unfortunate that the matter could not be resolved without additional help!

The business was notified immediately after this order came to my attention and informed that it was unauthorized. I would never authorize any purchase that was not free from Barnes & Noble.  All other purchases were FREE purchases. NO cost. And therefore would have been authorized and without dispute.  The business needs to refund the shipping cost.  If Barnes & Noble does not correct this, I will make sure that no one continues doing business with them at all.
