To whom it may concern,We have had many communications with Jamie concerning her refund.  We have since issued a refund in the full amount of her registration and the charges that she incurred from the bank.  She should receive her check in the mail by this time next...

To whom it may concern,
The event in Seattle was postponed to a later date due to circumstances beyond our control.  All participants were notified as soon as wee were and were provided with multiple options.  Our events are non refundable as is stated on the website, in the...

waiver that is signed by all participants and in the no refunds policy that all participants agree to at the time of registration.  That being said, we will make an exception and refund the registrations at this time.Ryan

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Revdex.com, Thank you very much!  I appreciate your intervening in this matter.
I also appreciate Blacklight Run making the refund.
(Again, I  understood the policy of this company - but not in the instance that the company itself cancelled the event).  Our group was most disappointed the event was cancelled.
Thank you!!!!

Regards,

I bought 4 tickets for my family to do the Blacklight Slide in "Seattle" (actually Puyallup). High pressure to buy the tickets asap since the "presale" price would go up from 25$ to 40 or 50$ per ticket. They said no refunds, so make sure there was no date conflict or something similar. I didn't realize they'd cancell 3 days before the event with no explanation given and reschedule it for 2 months later - still refusing to issue refunds for the people that can't attend the rescheduled date. I contacted them twice, and then wrote to the Attorney General. Finally I was grudgingly given a refund. I felt cheated. I'd have loved to do the slide, we were looking forward to it for months, but it's more of a scam than anything.

They can claim it is family friendly. When you do not have adequate staff to manage the event and allow half naked women and intoxicated people continue to participate. Additionally, when we signed up in January, the site was TBD. Ryan only wanted to tell me I was wrong and never once apologized for my experience. My kids were subjected to nudity, profanity (even used by her staff), a lack of safe environment, and our stuff was stolen while we waited for the event to continue. Ryan just wanted to correct me, tell me I was wrong, said insinuated we were liars when I informed her of the fact her associates said we could apply for a refund, and basically did not own up to the fact her company did not do what was right. It is not surprising to me that they don't care about their reputation. They don't care they are not accredited by the Revdex.com. They don't care. So their lack of empathy and customer service is on par with her response. It's basically what I expected her to say. They simply do not care. Will never care and my $193 is more important to them than their reputation. Sad state.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.  I received an email from their 3rd party company runsignup where the charge was initially made.  They have informed me on 6/7/16 that they will be issuing a full refund within the next few days.  Once I see this credit in my card statement, I will consider the complaint resolved.  Thank you!

To Whom It May Concern.

Blacklight Run was scheduled to happen in North Andover, MA in June of 2014. The venue we contracted to hold the event decided with less than two weeks to go before the event to cancel all contracts with all events they booked for the year. They wanted to...

get out of the event business. We were then forced to find a new location and date due to the short amount of time before the original date. Blacklight Run announced a new date and location before the end of June, 2014. If anyone emailed us and could not make it we decided to refund them or offer them a chance to go to any other location or date of any of our events as well. Due to the fact that we use Active.com to process all of our ticketing transactions we sometimes have issues with a customer emailing them in a noreply@ email account from Active.com. When this happens it is possible we may never have seen a customers email request.

We rescheduled the event to Amesburry Sports Park in MA and about three weeks before the October 4th event the city shut the venue down due to permitting issues. We had some real bad luck on this one. First time in our history we have had to cancel and change a date on a location but in this case we had to do it twice. We conduct an event every weekend in a different location in the country. We moved the event to Rockingham Park which was able to handle the event at the last min and on the same date. Rockingham Park was approximately one 12 miles from the original venue from June.

In the case of this customer we have refunded the customer and made the customer whole. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

I registered & attempted to run the black light run in Tampa on Saturday, June 27th. I was extremely disappointed with the organization of the event. I emailed them the following day with my complaints & have not heard back yet.

These are my complaints:

There was an email sent out to arrive early. The earliest we could leave was 7pm, which is not an unrealistic expectation, being that should give us 2 hours to get to The fairgrounds that is typically a 15 minute drive. However due to obscene number of people (I believe the race announcer said 15,000 people) & with only one entrance into the fairgrounds & no police to direct traffic, it took us 1 1/2 hours to travel 1 mile. When we finally parked. There was No direction from any crew where anything was- the entrance to the event, where the glow powder packs were or the starting line up was. Also there was no enforcement of bibs to run. I could've just paid the $6 for parking & ran without registering like hundreds of other people. There were Way too many people there for such a small run. We were unable to actually run because of the number of people & the terrible course- not enough width for that many people, potholes, mudpuddles, trash on the ground, drunks, etc. Even if there was a small bit of space to run, I would've advised against it because of the uneven ground. Someone could get majorly hurt. By the time we got to the last powder station, they were out of powder & we were in the 5th wave of people to run. There was one food vendor & approximately 20 portable bathrooms.Shirt was cheap & a waste of $28.

To whom it may concern,

All participants were notified with the following message:

"As you may have...

heard, Irvine Meadows Amphitheater is being demolished.  Due to this, our event is moving up from November 5, 2016 to
Sunday, October 23, 2016! We apologize for the delayed announcement but we had to secure all logistics first. "
The message was then followed with options to transfer the registration to another event or new participant that can make the date.
Unfortunately, the venue moved the demolition date up on us and we are a no refunds event.  We will make an exception and hold the
registrations for a future event that this particular participant can attend.
Ryan

Unfortunately, as has been stated. We are a no refunds event but are happy to assist you in a future event.

To whom it may concern,
We have reviewed the above customers complaint and have issued a refund for her registrations.  The credit will appear in her account in the next 3-5 business days.

I have not yet received my refund which was supposedly sent two weeks ago and I keep incurring bank charges due to their delay. A follow up email was sent regarding the status/where abouts of this refund and the email has not yet been replied to.

Good morning,It was nice speaking with you.  Per our conversation, please request a refund for your registration to Active, a third party registration company that is holding your funds.  If you don't get anywhere with them, please contact us back and we will try our best to help...

you out.Thanks,[redacted]

This 5K was falsely promoted, was hazardous and is ambiguous about the specific Charity it SUPPOSEDLY donates, and does not share the amount of money or the percentage of receipts it donates.

The Pre-Party was true to its description, but once the 5k actually began, it was pathetic. The course varied over grass, gravel and pot-holed pavement that was on an old racetrack. NOT continuously lit with backlights like advertised with "foam stations all along the course", but only one lame foam station right at the beginning of the course, then two at the very end. People were SMOKING on the course, and the outline of the course was done so poorly, it couldn't accommodate the THOUSANDS of people trying to proceed through it. People were falling into holes or indents in the ground, and there weren't emergency personnel along the course. The mini-bottles of water handed out ONCE were WARM, as were the ones handed out at the end. The mass exodus of cars TRYING to exit was just a cluster of bottlenecked cars and tempers were HIGH by the end of this insanely UNDERWHELMING experience.

Unfortunately, the processing fee is non-refundable. The refunds are issued to the original account the transaction was pulled from--generally, they will be forwarded to your new account by your banking institution. If not, you will need to contact them.

it took the company over six months to even let participants know the event was canceled or rescheduled. Good for you that the event has been rescheduled, I can't make it June 25th, I already have an obligation to get married, thanks. To inconvenience me to pay for gas, parking, and other expenses to travel to another state is not reasonable. Since you as the company chose to cancel the event, and its not convenient for meto take advtnage of the even although I paid for it, you are obligated to return my money of $50.00, if not lets see what a judge will rule on this matter, after I call the 12 on your side and lets investigate how many people you have ripped off by forcign us to either attend an even in a date convient for the company or fircign us to go to another state. Im givign you until December 5th, after that expect to be sued. Im done, with the back and forth, you can either refund my money or I will see you in court, in Richmond, VA.

To whom it may concern,
While we are a nor refunds event which is agreed upon at the time of registration, we will make an exception at this time.  We have issued a refund for your registration(s) and you will see the credit to your account in the next 3-5 business days.
Ryan

After the experience and treatment I have received from this company I do not want to do business with them. You ruined what was supposed to be a fun family experience.  As you stated numerous times no refunds is a policy. If you can make an exception to hold my reservation you can refund my fees. If Irvine meadows broke your agreement with them, I would think you can go after them to recoup your losses. I am not happy that you changed the agreement to your favor. Be responsible, do the right thing and issue refunds. All the back and forth over this has been upsetting to say the least.
