I took part in the Nashville Foam Glow 5K, put on my 1N3 LLC over the weekend. My experience was very negative, but every post that I put on their page is deleted with no warning, no explanation, and no apology. I want to issue a public warning to anyone considering becoming involved with one of the Foam Glow events. I also would like transparency from them in what the foam is composed of, as it is staining much more than just clothing and causing eye issues and allergic reactions.

A warning to anyone considering the Foam Glow 5k Runs...

The Nashville event and the response of 1N3 LLC in relation to concerns has soured me entirely on ever being involved in another of the company's runs. Instead of responding to concerns, they have resorted to deleting any negative comments from their Facebook page and are not being transparent about the risk participants take. I am now seeking out avenues for posting reviews to which they have no deletion abilities.

I have heard great reviews of the pre-party before the party, but because of the 17,000+ other people there, we couldn't even get close to the stage. The race course itself was a major issue. It wound around the property at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in Nashville, which was not a suitable location for a 5K. We walked on a mixture of asphalt, uneven grass with holes hidden in the grass and by the dark, and gravel pathways composed of large stones several inches thick that were not packed down. Today, I am nursing a very painful knee/ankle injury caused by stepping into one of the hidden holes.

The course itself was very poorly marked and there were several areas where people bottle-necked. We had to wait for about 10 minutes to make it through an opening in the fence at one point, where traffic was going in both directions.

Today, my eyes still sting from the foam getting into them, and when I showered last night and some of the water ran into my mouth, the taste was horrendous. I am truly concerned about what exactly was in the foam, becuase no one bothered to release an MSDS sheet of ingredient list.

There was very poor traffic control getting out of the park after the run and people were sitting for quite some time in their attempt to leave. There were only 3 foam stations around the actual course, when the event was hyped up to be so much more. There was very little lighting and it was only sporadic, contributing to the dangerousness of the course itself.

The foam itself STAINS. Not only clothes -- that is to be expected. However it will also stain hair. I know of one woman with pink hair this morning, and another with neon orange. It was said the colors will easily wash out of hair, but that is not the case.

This event was VERY poorly executed and I have serious questions about whether they actually do donate some of the hundreds of thousands they made to the local children's hospital, as is vaguely advertised on their website. I hope the experiences of runners in other cities is different because in Nashville, our experiences were not good.

There was no false advertising and we are going to follow through with what we sold which is hosting the event on October 8, 2016.  If [redacted] can not attend, we can provide her with the following options:1. Transfer to a slide event next year.
2. Transfer to a new participant.
3. Transfer to our Blacklight Run in Tampa on October 15, 2016.
I am happy to assist in any of these options.

I received terrible service from this company and couldn't care less for the Tshirts after the race. The fact is that 8 of our employees had to waste time in line and 6 of them for nothing. As I stated in my previous communications with this company I spent $2.8k signing up our employees to the race. The referral program issue is one of many we ran into with them. This company clearly does not value our business and is perfectly happy providing a mediocre half delivered product.
They're not willing to give us a fair refund and I just want it stated on the record to warn future costumers to avoid any FOAM GLOW races prodeced by this company

Our Seattle event was rescheduled due to circumstances beyond our control and all participants were notified as soon as we were. An alternative date was immediately provided or the option to transfer to a different participant or event that we host. As is stated on...

the FAQ page, in the waiver and in the no refunds policy that is agreed to upon registration we are a no refunds event and dates and locations are subject to change. What are willing to due is offer to hold the registration for a future event in the participants area.Ryan

If they can not attend, they are able to transfer to another event that we host or to a different participant.  At the time of registration, a waiver and a no refunds policy was signed by the participant. We are happy to assist with a transfer for this participant if they so wish.Ryan

demolished.  Due to this, our event is moving up from November 5, 2016 to
Sunday, October 23, 2016! We apologize for the delayed announcement but we had to secure all logistics first. "
The message was then followed with options to transfer the registration to another event or new participant that can make the date.
 Unfortunately, the venue moved the demolition date up on us and we are a no refunds event.  We will make an exception and hold the
registrations for a future event that this particular participant can attend.

This customer has been refunded and we have reached out to the customer to let them know this has taken place. Our policy is no refunds normally because of the nature of advance purchasing of t-shirts, bibs and powder for the person who registers. In this case the venue changed...

I am hosting an exchange student who saw the foam glow website and wanted to participate and wanted our family to participate. The website advertised an early registration deadline that Nov. 18 and I was looking at the website on Nov. 18. So I signed my family of 6 up for the event ($150). I thought it more than coincidental that the date happened to be the same date but my exchange student was excited and someone close to her had died that very morning in her home country so I wanted to do this to cheer her up, plus it looked like good family fun. But smelling a rat, I came to work this morning and thought to look at the website to see what the early registration date was, and JUST AS I EXPECTED, the new early registration deadline is Nov. 19 -- today's date. So everyone who checks out the website will be pressured to "buy today" -- especially given the huge difference between prices - $20 per person in advance, $50 after the early registration "deadline". I believe this is false advertising and a high pressure tactic to get your money. This plus the "no refund" policy takes advantage of people who, like me unfortunately, didn't research the company before signing up. I feel I was tricked bythis false advertising and when I looked around online, I saw complaints about the company changing the race date or cancelling races altogether in other instances, overbooking an event upwards of 15,000 people, and delivering less than promised in terms of the foam run experience--all with an unwillingness to issue refunds.

The problem with this response is that if this location is getting demolished I have no clue the location of any future events will be. I dunno if it will be local for me and my 4 guest to attend any future events. I would need to know the location of any events coming up. San Diego doesn't work for us. Is too far. I rather get my $125 back at this point.
