This company is very deceiving, dishonest, and totally bogus. They tried to sell me a product that is VERY inferior in quality at a price that is WAY too high for what it was. They are deceiving on many different levels. Told bold face lies. This is a company that I wish that I had been warned about.

Empire today has installed carpet in my two bedroom. I thought it would take forever to make appointment and to have carpet soon. but everything went very smoothly and fast from making appointment and then sell person came to the house and then installing the carpet in all in all three areas I was very satisfied they were very professional everything was done in a timely way it was very fast and very quick and very professional I love the way they work together. I got my carpet in two days .
Well done.

My husband and I ha e had at least 5 o call no shows, the last time I called before and after the 11-1 time, before I was told they sill be coming, that the sales person or manager will call when in route. After the time had passed, we waited until 3:30, I called and was told we did not have anyone scheduled to show up, and for the 5th time was offered a reschedule, we said no. It is almost as if they do not want to make money.

Their advertisement is completely false! We had estimate done according to their ad, $99 per room on select flooring just pay for installation and padding. We picked a select flooring and for 1400 sq ft estimate was $14,000! $1,000 sq ft ? That's better be some dang good installation for that price. Don't waste your time on these people.

Empire Today is a reputable company that does exceptional installation of a quality product. The Salesman who sells the product is professional, hardworking and takes time to make sure you like what you are ordering. We were impressed by the communication from the company in keeping us informed every step of the way. Great hard working representatives from sales to installation. We would highly recommend Empire Today!

Our whole experience was a good one. The rep came promptly according to schedule and brought more than enough of the correct samples I had requested. What was MOST exceptional was the installation team. We had a large amount of flooring to replace and they were quick, efficient and careful with our furniture moving.

Overall I am extremely disappointed with the entire flooring installation process from Empire Today.
We hired Empire to install new carpet and laminate flooring in our cabin in the Poconos. The cabin is about 1.5 hours from our house. The problems started during the laminate installation. We were told the installation would take 2 crews 1 day to complete and they would be done by 6pm. They end up sending 1 crew and didn't complete the job until almost midnight. We ended up staying over night which we were not planning on doing. Keep in mind we also had an 8-month old child at the time, so made it even more challenging.
A few weeks after the installation was complete we noticed areas where the laminate was bubbling up. A few areas were so bad the trim actually snapped away from the walls. I called Empire and scheduled to have someone come out to inspect it. Empire requires and initial scheduled inspection to verify if the damage was their fault or something else. This is the first time they canceled on me. After finally getting someone out to verify it was their fault I had to schedule another visit to actually get the work done. At 8am the day they were suppose to come fix the problems I get a call telling me they have to cancel the appointment because the material arrived that morning and was damaged. Why in the world would they have the material delivered the morning of the appointment? There are a million things that could go wrong from damaged product, to a late shipment, that would force them to cancel. So now Empire has canceled on me TWICE. 8-months after installation and we still have damaged floors and now I have to schedule another trip to the cabin to get the issue fixed. God only knows if they will show up next time.
My biggest problem with Empire is their scheduling and appointment process. They give you a call the morning of your appointment to tell you when they will be there. They could call you at 8am and tell you they won’t be there until 4pm, or maybe they will be there at 8am. For someone that is dealing with a location they don’t live in full time, this is a nightmare. I basically have to dedicate the entire day to this process. Having them cancel on me TWICE, after I was already at the cabin, was a complete waste of my time and money.

The installers get to my home and the ceramic installers advise that they are unable to place the tiles on a 45 degree angle. Their rational is that it will not look proper because it's not something they do. After an hour of back and forth with them and their supervisor I told them that this is how we agreed to have them installed and to finally place them on a 45 degree angle. An hour wasted but finally the job was done and the tile looks good, but why were we on the phone with a supervisor who is not at the job site for over an hour debating whether or not it should be done the way the sales representative promised us it would be done? Or better yet for what we paid for?
On the same day the LVP flooring installers arrive at my home and quickly advise that they have materials for 3 bedrooms not 4. So we spend approximately 30 minutes arguing back and forth on how they are supposed to complete 4 bedrooms not just 3. They even showed me a contract that Bill completed that only showed 3 bedrooms and not the 4th. Finally they agree on the fourth bedroom. However, our installation was supposed to be on a 45 degree which is what we paid for and agreed on. The installer [redacted] advises that there is no way that it could be completed in that angle due to all the cutting. That the floor will lose stability through time. What do we do? We have set out our Saturday for this, we are already on our third disappointment with this company, we are really excited about installing our new floors and now this....Since [redacted] said that it could not be completed correctly in such manner then we were forced to have it installed the conventional way. Finally at approximately 10:30PM they finish the job according to [redacted] I ask what happen to the doorway? He says that the transitions were not provided and to call Empire Today so that they can order them for me. That he would have to return to install them. What a disappointment!
I call Empire Today that following Monday and go through the trouble of explaining this to them, I have spoken to Sarah, Joy, E[redacted] (Manager), C[redacted] (Manager), Andrea, C[redacted] (Manager), J[redacted] (Manager), Y[redacted] (Manager), R[redacted] (Manager) and lastly J** (Install Manager [redacted] Supervisor). I have gotten the run around for almost TWO WEEKS on who will responsible for ordering 5 transitions and when they will be installed in my home. Obviously this company is top heavy and no one takes the initiative to make the job right.
Today 10/15/15 I receive a phone call from J** who advises that the installation can be completed on a 45 degree angle how we wanted it done the first time. That he can arrange that they return to my home and install it correctly. Why wasn't this done in the first place? I advised that after speaking with my husband we no longer have the confidence in Empire Today that they will do the job correctly. We have lost all confidence and respect for this company and they should be ashamed to advertise themselves as flooring experts. It is still two weeks and my floor is not complete. The job was done on October 3rd and it is October 15th and the job is still incomplete. My family DOES NOT RECOMMEND Empire Today to anyone. Think about it before you pay double for your floors which we did.
Oh and by the way Bill [redacted] the Sales Rep who originally went to my home has not called or made himself available to correct the issue he started. I have called him since October 3rd and he has not received my calls and/or returned my calls. What type of customer service is this?

My recent experience with Empire Today for my flooring project was outstanding from start to finish. I will recommend this company to all that are interested in their flooring needs..

The salesman for Empire was fine, but the installers the day of installation - at 3PM on a Friday - called and said they couldn't get to our house for another hour and that the installation would take 6 or 7 hours. This was a little surprising. The tone in the guy's voice said its Friday and I have no desire to install your carpet at 4PM. So I told the installer that 4PM was fine. He did not sound pleased with my answer. He showed up at 3:10PM (not an hour later) and pulled up a corner on the carpet and said, "Looks like you have asbestos. You need to have it inspected." It was odd because we had carpet installed a couple of times and they never said anything. He abruptly left at 3:20PM. I called the asbestos person and she said removing carpet and installing new carpet does not require an inspection. So I cancelled Empire today and went with another company, MAC Flooring in [redacted] that hires contractors, with integrity, to install their carpet. Do not waste your time with this company. MAC Flooring also came in cheaper!! Also, I contacted the salesman and he has yet to get back to me.

Thrilled start to finish! ETA for the sales guy was 3-5 pm, he was here at 3 on the dot. He showed me several options for my needs, did pricing on all of the options I wanted to price out and was even able to get them out here the next day b/c I had the day off from work. The installation happened to a tee exactly how he described and they were in and out in under an hour leaving brand new fabulous carpet, taking the old, and making sure I was comfortable the entire time they were here! I recommend to all!

I had carpet installed in my basement. The salesman came to my home and was extremely professional and courteous and knowledgeable. I ordered carpet and the installers came a few days later to install the carpet. WOW!!!!! All I can say is WOW!!!!! The installers were so professional and the job they did was magnificent. I have never seen carpet laid so well anywhere. My basement looks fabulous and the carpet and padding just makes my basement a place where I want to hang out now. I would highly recommend Empire Today for all of your carpeting needs.

I am not pleased with my Empire experience and would not recommend their services to anyone. To start off, the sales person made it appear that we would have the early time slot and that someone would arrive between the hours 9 - 11 am....clearly that's not how Empire works. I called the day of (1030 am) and was told they will arrive between 1 - 3. They came at 4:25 pm. Being sold on a morning installation I had planned on getting a half day of work in, but the lack of information, logistics and communication from Empire I had to cancel my afternoon meetings and take a full day off work when really I could have gotten a full day in. It gets better.... As an architect I made a floor plan of my space and calculated the SF prior to the sales person arriving. I did not have a problem with the sales person coming up with a higher number SF wise than me, since Empire needs to cover OH and P. However given that I have 315 SF and the contract was signed for 415 SF I'm am really confused why and how they did not have enough carpet to finish the job. Which meant they had to come back another day and I had to dedicate my entire day again to waiting. And again I had to call Empire the day of ( they did not call me) to inform me of installation time, and again they promised 1-3 slot, and again no one came at 3. So I called at 315 and they told me 4pm I should expect installers. I called at 410... they arrived at 5 pm. We initially went with Empire due to their immediate response to me asking for a consultation, which set the precedence for what I thought I was paying for. Otherwise I would of never used this service knowing what I have gone through, it certainly wasn't the price that got me... I still paid about $5/SF even though it was "50% off." Which really meant Empire multiplied the cost of the job by 2 and then took half off, but again that didn't bother me until my time was stolen. Time is more than money, and I agreed to this negotiation because I was under the impression that Empire cared about my time. The reality is Empire is a time thief.

My entire experience with Empire Today was excellent from customer service sales person and installation personnel. I will highly recommend them to everyone needing carpeting, hard flooring etc.
Annette [redacted],GA??

I was satisfied with the service I received from Empire Today.

We had Empire install carpets in our living, dining, family rooms and stairs/hall. Over all, we, had a very good experience. The salesman was new and a little unsure of himself, but that actually was better for us because he didn't go into a heavy sales pitch which would have turned us off. I had never picked out carpet at my house before...it had its pros and cons. The con was, you depend on the salesman to understand what you are saying, he goes to his truck to pick out what he thinks you want to see. In a showroom, I can look over everything. However, after a couple of runs to the truck, he did get us what we were looking for. The pro was I could pick up the sample and match it to my walls in my lighting situation, etc. We were trying to match a particular maroon color for the stairs and after a couple of tries got one that worked. I don't like negotiating for products (I prefer to see prices listed and know what I am getting into), but we were able to get a deal that we could live with. If I hadn't already had a budge in mind and visited other stores, this would have been a harder process for me. We were very pleased how quickly they could come out and install and in 2 days, the carpet was in! The installers did a good job and asked us to inspect as they finished each room. They were hard workers and it took them from 9:30 am to about 4 pm to finish. They had promised that the installers would speak good English -- one had a hard time speaking English, and the lead spoke "okay." All in all, we have been pleased.

I have a company called Empire coming out today to install new carpet. My parents and myself have done business with them before. I just found out that they don't have me on schedule today. Also someone who was upset my mother who is going to wait there for them all day since I have to work. First of all I was rescheduled for my sales date an hour before they were supposed to come out. Then the salesman comes out has an accident. Comes to the house since he got sick please use my restroom and let him use my restroom. Not knowing that he affected my family and [redacted] his pants. Also left me a mess to clean up. Gross! Now come to find out they don't have me on schedule. Yet, I have emails comfirming and I have been calling for a narrow time frame for a few days on when their coming out to install how is that a good business? There was talk of doing business at my parents home - not anymore. I moved all the stuff needed, my family came over to assist and had to leave my dog some place else. I am very upset.

The price was reasonable, the product and installation was excellent

I, initially, had Empire Today come to my home to quote Luxury Vinyl Tile installation for my kitchen. In the beginning, I was very pleased with their ability to negotiate in an effort to meet my budget. After committing to the purchase, I did research and read some negative reviews. I became nauseous. I contacted my salesperson, Terry, and he assured me he wanted me to be completely comfortable. He told me to consider it more and cancel if I didn't have "warm fuzzies". I had other companies come to give me quotes. I called Terry and told him that I was going to continue with Empire only because I had confidence in HIM. The reviews I read were often negative because of scheduling and, up to that point, I had no problems. HE came when he was supposed to come, HE called when I need him to call, and HE scheduled the installation. I figured I had nothing to worry about. My installation was scheduled for August 14/15. On or before the 13th, I received a confirmation email and phone call to solidify the installation. Then, on the afternoon before my installation, the 13th, I received a call from Paul stating he was sorry that they would NOT be doing the installation the following day because he did not have installers. This was not because they called off, this was because Terry scheduled the installation without confirming with the company the availability of installers. I placed my order on Wednesday, Aug. 5th. Terry didn't put in the order for Paul to see until Monday, Aug. 10th. On August 10th, Paul and Terry both knew that the installers were not available. I spoke to Terry on the 11th and the 12th and he reassured me that I would be pleased with my decision. He knew I was concerned about timing as I needed to go back to work. All this time, I was sharing my concerns with Terry and I was telling him HE needed to make sure I was taken care of and he continued to blow smoke! When I talked to Paul again and he restated that there was nothing he could do and I would need to reschedule for the week of the 24th, I CANCELLED!!!! He wanted to blame everything on Terry, the salesman. Terry was to blame! I told Paul that he was also to blame because he knew on Monday morning that he could not provide the service, but he waited until Thursday to inform the consumer. I could have ordered with another company and had them install on the 14th/15th. I am now having another reputable company install my floors tomorrow the 21st. Additionally, Empire Today charged my credit card the full amount (not just a deposit) on the day I ordered, but yet I am still waiting on the refund to my account a week after my cancellation. This is not because of my credit card company! When I called today, I learned that they have all of these hands cancellations must go through before the money is refunded. I'm so disappointed I wasted all this time and energy on a company that does not do what they say they are going to do!!!!!!

Responsiveness and service was excellent. The salesperson was very polite and trustworthy and did not use pressure to make his sale. The carpet purchased was beautiful and the installation went smoothly. The installers were very helpful in moving the furniture as I was not able to have the rooms ready for them. I highly recommend their services without any reservations.
