Canvas People Reviews (167)

Review: I placed an order (#[redacted]) through this business online on October [redacted], 2015. The order included two 18x24 canvas prints in white frames. The items shipped, but only one of the two met that specification. The other was a smaller canvas and did not come framed. The frame and larger sized-canvas does cost extra. I reached out to them on Friday, October [redacted] via their online submission form to let them know that there was an issue with my order, but never heard back. I reached out again later that week and let them know I would be heading to the Revdex.com if I did not hear back, and I never did get a response.

The major issue here is that they do not have a contact phone number of any kind published, and write on their website that you must e-mail them first for them to research the nature of the issue, and then they will call you. So I am at an impasse at ensuring that I get what I ordered.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the photo that I had ordered that is the far away picture of us under a tree in 18x24 with a white frame. I am happy to ship back the original if they'd like me to.

Review: Business mailed out 4 canvas prints, post office delivered one, and sent other 3 back to sender. The business did not contact me (buyer) asking for new address or address concerns. After finding out my packages were sent back to sender I contacted me. After many many horrible customer service emails back and forth, I was told my packages were resent back out. Asked for tracking numbers and business no longer responds. No packages that I paid for, and no response to emails (which is the only way to contact them)

Review: I order to canvas product and they were not printed right so I received incomplete product. I have made several attempts to contact them but they are not responding.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund or the two canvas products reprinted so I can send them out. This was a gift for my sister and my mom.

I have sent them emails and photos of the damaged product they sent me but the company did not refund or respond.

Sincerely,

Review: First issue is that I could never get a hold of customer service. I was charged for a canvas in which the company was unable to provide the size I ordered due to the pixel size of the uploaded picture. They charged me for a canvas they could not provide. I only wanted that specific picture so I tried to contact the company for a refund. Any phone number I called would not work and I emailed them several times with no reply. It was not until I contacted my credit card company and filed a dispute that I finally received a refund. They ended up crediting my account twice. I honestly informed them of their mistake and they corrected it. Today I find out that I somehow signed up for [redacted] and I have been charged $12.97 for the past few months on the same credit card I had issues with initially. I was unaware that I signed up for this service. I was supposed to cancel it 30 days after I signed up for it. I did not even know that I signed up for it. This company is horrible. They are dishonest and are only out to get peoples money. They do not have a customer service department to speak with. Their phone numbers do not work and they do not answer emails. They are sneaky. The fact that I "signed up" for free shipping (which requires a monthly payment of $12.97) without my knowledge is preposterous. I am very disappointed and feel as if I have been stolen from . Canvas people work in conjunction with a company called [redacted] (which I was able to contact a customer service agent and cancel my "subscription" and I was refunding only one of the charges. I must go through all my statements but at this time I have been charged at least $103.76. This business should be investigated and closed due to their lack of integrity, dishonesty, and sneaky ways.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of all the charges incurred by [redacted]. I believe that Canvas People are responsible for the charges to due the fact that they did not inform me that I would be charged by [redacted] every 30 days for a Canvas purchased that was never finalized. I never received any product, therefore, I did not even utilize any shipping services. In addition, Canvas People do not have working number, charged for an item that they could not produce, and I had to make extreme efforts to receive a refund for an item that was never produced and that I never received.

Review: I had emailed a new pic to the company on 11/*/15 because the previous one I submitted was apparently poor resolution. I received an email from "Angelique" in customer service that my photo was received and I would get an email when it was completed and shipped. On 11/** I sent an email looking for an update on my order. "Angelique" replied it can 10-12 business days to process. Sent another email on 11/**. No response. Emailed again on 12/* demanding a refund. "Angelique" replies she is looking into the matter and will get back to me shortly. Nothing. On 12/** I emailed stating I expected my refund to be in my account by that Fri. "Angelique" responded that it could take 7-10 business days to receive it. Once again, no refund or response. I sent emails yesterday and today (1/*/16). This is a scam and I want my money back.Desired Settlement: My refund of $19.94 immediately. I will NEVER do business with these people again. I will also spread the word so no one else gets scammed.

Review: I ordered two 16X20 Canvas Prints from the website on 8/**/2015. Received confirmation that the order had be received and was in process. Since this time I have only received 1 email to tell me that 1 of the two canvas had shipped. I did receive the one. I have since contacted the company multiple times through their email feature since there is no listed number with no response. The second canvas still says processing and has not updated since the initial order. I was charged the full amount of the order when the first canvas shipped. If they are going to treat them as separate orders they should not be charging me for both until both are shipped. Each canvas had 19.95 shipping cost associated with it.Desired Settlement: Delivery of product that was ordered. I would also like my shipping fees refunded, as I was promised this product in a much sooner time frame and was charged without the 2nd canvas ever being shipped.

I received an email from the company telling me that the photo I used could not be processed. Then another email saying it could. Then a third which said that the one that said it could be used was a mistake. At this point I have asked them for a refund for that part of the order as I don't want to send in a new picture, because I don't believe that they will process it or get the print to me in a timely manner.I have not heard back from them yet after asking for the refund.

Sincerely,

Review: We ordered four canvases on 8/**/15. We were issued one tracking # (despite the packages being shipped in seperate boxes with separate tracking numbers). The first package, also the one with a matching tracking #, arrived on 9/*/15. Two more of the four canvases arrived over the next two days. The fourth package never arrived.

We contacted Canvas People on 9/*/15 via their online customer service form requesting that they look into the missing canvas and provide us with the fourth tracking number or a status on the delivery.

We received this response:

"Your request has been received and will be reviewed by our support staff shortly. Due to some issues with our new technology platform we are currently experiencing a delay in our response time and apologize for any inconvenience. We will get back to you as soon as possible and ask that you please note this may take a few days. Rest assured that when we do get back to you we will make this right!"

We attempted to contact them again on 9/**/15 (informing that we hadn't gotten a reply or resolution yet) and 9/**/15 (requesting a refund) without response.Desired Settlement: We would still like our order to be completed if they are able to track down the missing package or ship a new one. If that isn't possible, we would like a refund of $24.95 ($5.00 for the canvas and $19.95 S&H).

Review: I ordered a canvas from Canvas People 3 weeks ago. Since the day I ordered it, the status has said Processing. I try to get in touch with Customer Service and they tell me I should have already received it. When I send them a return message telling them I have not I hear nothing else. I have tried e-mails, filling out the customer service form, on the website and social media. I just want the canvases I ordered for birthdays that are coming up.Desired Settlement: I want my canvas that I ordered for my son's birthday!

Review: I ordered a canvas through canvaspeople..com. I was careful to use their editing tool because when you shift between border sizes the editing changes drastically. I did not take a screen shot of the revised submission which I suppose I was required to. When I got my product it was NOT how I had submitted it. I sent an email because there is no customer service other than that. The rep sent me a picture of the supposed editing I submitted (which it was not) and basically called me a liar. You can clearly see the picture is wrapped excessively on the canvass. A portion of the print is actually seen on the back which proves there was indeed space for this picture to be wrapped differently. Again I took time and carefully positioned the picture using the positioning tool. I even went back to it several times to make sure. The product was a huge disappointment and the customer service rep was an even bigger one. I was absolutely taken advantage of. I am angry and want a refund!Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of $18.75. The attitude of the rep is absolutely unacceptable. And I am to believe I was completely wrong in my editing when I made sure it was exactly how I wanted it several times before submitting it. The product IS NOT what I ordered.

Response:

We have reviewed this complaint along with the customer's order and email communications, and found that the request for a replacement and/or refund does not meet the requirements of our Return Policy. As advertised on our website our canvases are gallery wrapped, meaning that the photos printed on the canvas material wrap around the sides of the canvas print. The photo that was provided to us by the customer does not have enough space at the top of it to account for the gallery wrapping without wrapping the top of the baby's head. Should you visit our website to upload the customer's photo and select the same size of an 11x14 standard wrap print, you will see that it is not possible for the baby's head to have not been wrapped over the top, or for the image to have been "centered". We have attached the photo that was provided to us for printing along with the preview the customer had approved when the order was placed, as well as a photograph of the canvas the customer received. As you can see the canvas was printed and wrapped to match the approved preview. We require that all customers manually check a box that states they approve of the wrapping and all other options selected. Customers cannot proceed in the order process without confirming they approve. We would be happy to offer the customer a new canvas for the same promotional pricing. Please have them contact our Customer Service team if they wish to take advantage of this offer. If we can provide any additional information for your consideration on this claim please let us know. Thank you.”Attached to this email are the files which were to be included with my response. Please advise ASAP. Thank you! [redacted]

I think you should not promote this company! They are BAD!!!! I paid 20 dollars to get my package quickly . And here we are a week later with no package! They never sent the package to [redacted]. Also there is no phone number to contact them. They sure took my money and there is no way other then an email to reach them!

Review: I placed an order with said company(Canvas People), then I received an e-mail stating that my order had been shipped. After 24 hours I went to [redacted]S website and the tracking number could not be found in their system. I can't find a phone number for the company and the site will not allow me to e-mail the customer service dept.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the portrait that I ordered or a full refund

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: Ordered a 16X20 canvas portrait on 8/**/15. Received confirmation that the order was received. Have received no other information regarding the order. There is no published telephone number to contact the company to check the status, only can contact by e-mail. I e-mailed the company twice the week of 8/**/15 and yesterday, 9/*/15 to check the status of the order but still no response. I have checked the status of the order on their site continually since placing the order and all it ever says is "order is in production".Desired Settlement: Delivery of product ASAP! Would also like a refund of all or part of the shipping fees as compensation for the poor customer service and delay in production.

If the job has yet to be completed, refund my money and I will order elsewhere.

Sincerely,

Review: We ordered a 20x30 print on September *, 2015 as a birthday present for our twin grand babies. Order # [redacted].

After patiently waiting for shipment information we tried to contact Canvas People several times via phone only to alway get a busy signal and also several times via email to [redacted] only to receive a delayed response about 2-3 weeks later simple stating our print was still in process even though we paid for expedited service and shipping.

We finally received the print on about September [redacted], 20 days after the order and after we had left staying with our family.

The print received is defective and not acceptable and we demand a full refund of $78.60 immediately to our credit card that was used to purchase the print. We do not want a replacement print.

The print was not properly or professionally centered on the canvas.

This resulted in the photo stopping short at the bottom and has a one inch thick black bar running across the face of the print at the bottom. Also the photo does not wrap around the bottom edge like it does on the other three sides.

Reviewing the photo on-line at canvaspeople.com when placing the order and also in order confirmation email clearly shows that at the time the order was placed the photo was properly oriented and no black bar was visible across the bottom.

We have again tried to call and email Canvas People but to date have not received any response.Desired Settlement: The print received is defective and not acceptable and we demand a full refund of $78.60 immediately to our credit card that was used to purchase the print.

In addition to the defective canvas print, we experienced, very poor customer service and poor/non- existent communications when attempting to determine status of the late delivery.

We do not want a replacement print.

Sincerely,

Review: I placed an order with them on 09-**-15 and ordered 6 canvasses from them. I have only received 3. I have tried to contact them multiple times in the last week and have heard no response from them. I needed them by this Saturday (10-**-15)Desired Settlement: If they can overnight them today or tomorrow I would like them to do that at NO EXTRA cost to me since I ordered them in plenty of time for them to be here. And if they can not send them by tomorrow overnighted I feel they should return my shipping cost for them since I will not have my product by the date I needed them.

Review: They emailed me an offer, but when I tried to redeem it, they said it was expired, even though there is no expiration date anywhere on the email.Desired Settlement: fulfill their offer

Review: When I made the purchase from Canvas people I was using a $45 [redacted] voucher for Canvas People that I had bought. When I went to redeem it on the Canvas People website I saw I could upgrade to a better canvas for extra money, so I paid for the upgrade with my credit card. When I received the product there is missing ink/paint in many areas of the product and half of it is faded compared to the other half. It is unacceptable and it appears that no one even did a quality check. I then proceeded to use their website to file an email complaint with them as they do not provide a customer service phone number. I did not receive any response from that so I sent a second email and also received no response I've then proceeded to look up their phone number online and call a customer service phone number that I found and left multiple voicemails and still have received no response and no one ever picks up the phone, you always are on hold.Desired Settlement: Although I would love a high-quality replacement of the product, I do not trust this company and am then therefore more inclined to receiving a refund for the order. Also, I do not expect to pay shipping if they want me to return the item as it is enormous and it will cost more to ship it in the product is worth.

Business

Response:

Thank you for contacting us.

Before responding to this complaint we reached out to our customer to review the situation as we had no record of any emails. Upon reviewing the customer's canvas and the photo she provided for printing we found that what [redacted] found to be unsatisfactory actually existed in the photo provided for printing. CanvasPeople does not make any changes to customers' photos when they are submitted for printing unless a special effect or touch-up is purchased with their order, which in this case had not been done.

The image the customer uploaded for their order is a photo of a painting, in which the flash created glares on the painting and uneven lighting. The glares in the photo are the areas in which there was "missing ink/paint" as [redacted] described it, and the uneven lighting is what resulted in one side of the canvas print appearing lighter than the other. Attached to our response here is the image that was submitted to us for printing with the customer's order.

As per our Return Policy we are unable to offer a refund or a free replacement because the issues exist in the image received for printing. A discounted replacement was offered to [redacted], which she declined.

We have allotted the customer 30 days to take advantage of our offer for a discounted replacement should she change her mind.

Best regards,

Consumer

[Your Answer Here]

The company finally emailed me back and what they told you is not the same reason they gave in their response to me. To you they said it wasn't the lighting and in the email to me they said it was in the brush strokes. In either case they are both incorrect as I've had this painting printed on canvas before from a different company and had no problems at all. This company is a bunch of scammers. If you don't believe me look at the reviews for this company. I wish I had before purchasing.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Response:

Thank you for contacting us.

The information provided in our previous response is true and accurate. [redacted] is correct in stating that we did share with her we believed that the white areas were due to the paint not taking, and that the brushstrokes were very visible in the image she provided for printing, but upon closer review of the uploaded image we found that the white areas were glare from the flash on the paint.

Attached to our response is a photo of the customer's canvas and the image provided by the customer for printing, for your comparison and consideration. You will also find our email correspondence with the customer attached here as a PDF.

CanvasPeople stands by its products and will readily replace or refund any canvas with an issue or error that occurred internally. We are happy to work with [redacted] to provide a discounted replacement canvas as a courtesy, but we are unable to offer a free replacement or a refund as the request for such does not meet the guidelines in our Return Policy. As previously stated the offer for the discounted replacement is open to our customer for 30 days.

Best regards,

Consumer

[Your Answer Here]

They are liars and scam artists. If they had an issue with the image they should have contacted me prior to printing. It says on the website that they will alert the customer if the image is an issue. Any reasonable person would do a quality check. Also, it's not just the "glare", the whole product is completely faded and the colors are not even close to the photo. It's so light that what should be bright colors look like faded pastels. Horrible company.

Sincerely,

Canvas People refuses to answer my questions about an order placed on November [redacted], 2015, over a month ago. I have emailed 5 times and have been unsuccessful contacting them by phone. The length of processing time and terrible customer service make this a business I will never use and do not recommend.

Similar to other reviews, it takes weeks upon weeks to receive your product from this company. My order claims that it is complete but I have not received it. It's been over a month and my card was already charged. Contacting anyone in customer support is impossible. You will not speak with anyone directly. They will not respond to emails, phone calls, or any other means. I will not do business with them again and I strongly recommend that others do not either.

Review: My order # [redacted] (I paid $18.95) for shipping, only for it to come in a yellow padded envelope, first class postage. This package came ripped open in the front, I contacted canvas people by email 4 times with no response, and reached out to them twice on their [redacted] page for my comments and pictures to be deleted. I'm not happy, for that most postage paid, this should have came in a secure box!Desired Settlement: I want a refund on my shipping due to no response from customer service! I even sent them pictures.
