I did more than just contact Capital One via Social Media I have made phone calls, and sent back the mailers with, "Take off mailing list," written on many of them, while others had, "Do not contact," written on them Capital One needs to have a better system for when mail is returned to them with these types of messages written on them

I recommend the letter bank that starts with a C over this corporation anyday and everyday I was a former HSBC customer and my account became property of Capunfortunately I have been a card holder for over years and have cards from what is now C When I am done paying off my balances, my accounts will be closed out I was recently approved for a CLI from another lender and when requested the same from CapI was denied The approval from the bank beginning with a C, was given after Capdenied me (Too many recent inquiries, and some other excuse I dont remember) Ummm probably because of your insulting credit limit and the fact I never received a CLI in over years, that I did some shopping around? Thank you though, or I would have never been a new member of the *** card family!! BEING A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR 10+ years is not enough proven loyalty to be approved for an increase then I'm sorry Cap1, you are an awful, careless, selfish, greedy lender Did I mention I had to get ahold of the corporate office just to have my annual fees removed after all this time? Oh and the person that assisted me upgraded my outdated cards to the Quicksilver cards, as if she did me a favor Only to read that most accounts that came from HSBC were upgraded already! I have a balance on one card and balance on the other I was not the "ask for a CLI type of person" until I realized one day, the intention in having the cards was so that they would grow with meLADIES AND GENTS, I grew, got older wiserMOVED up in life, however my Capcards werent there with me for the ride
I paid off my cards numerous times before and the only difference this time around is that they will be destroyed and I am looking forward to the day they are just a horrible memory that uncontrollably crosses my mind every now and then, or when I am mentioning to someone why they should stay awayI get better rewards anyway with my *** card and my *** Southwest anyway! SILLY ME FOR KEEPING SOMETHING AROUND THAT DOESN'T WANT ME :( Maybe it was the horrible customer service I couldnt get enough of Or the low credit limits and high APR's, topped off with the double annual feesOh shucks, almost forgot to mention that they are reporting my high balance on my CR's and have no proof of me ever having that high balance, and refuse to adjust it NOT EVEN SURE IF THAT IS LEGAL

I've had capital one credit card for a couple months nowEverything was good in the beginning till it got harder to pay my balances offI work full time and take care of bills and other things at homeI have used the capital one app for my billing payments so I can keep up with themBut as of lately I've tried canceling payments and the app would not let me cancel themI tried canceling a payment I had made before and it was at maybe 4-in the amSo I know the payment hasn't been processed yet and I would be able to cancel itSo it wouldn't mess with my checking account I have with my bankThe app wouldn't let me cancel the payment saying that that there were technical problemsAnd that I had to call themSo I did and the representative was no helpThey didn't listen to meHe kept going off topic trying to buy timeAs I told him my reason for callingThen all of sudden tells me to give me a second and goes to try and cancel itThen he tells me he can't cancel it and that he is sorryI was livid because the whole time your holding me up the payment could have been canceledAnd I know it could have been canceled because I've done it beforeI make payments every week so I can keep up with itHe kept apologizing but apologizing doesn't help me when this is gonna mess with my bank accountSo I'm done with capital oneCause it's been more then a few times they did thisI've had more luck fixing my scheduled payments with my *** *** credit card

letter they sent did not address the complaint I made: mainly, the sarcastic and disrespectful treatment I received from their employee (Shah)They actually said that there has been no wrong-doing on their partI consider that disingenuous, because an employee of mine who treated my patients that way would be summarily firedI was merely asking for him to be transferred from the branch I regularly go to.Instead, the bank is even soliciting my estate planning business, which I went there for and which their rude employee would not even address with meObviously, I will take my estate issue somewhere elseBut I do want them to discipline their employee.Yours truly,*** ** *** ***

Went to capital one bank which I use to open an account for my mom who is getting old and having memory troubles They suggested I just open a capital one account There the nightmare started After trying to fund the account from my personal capital one account they took over a week to make funds available Now they have locked the account and won't unlock it because I set it up for her which they already knew They hold her rent money hostage until I find a fax machine and fax a power of attorney and then in a few days will unlock it even after talking to her Total nightmare Now I need to take her back to the social security office and stand in line to get rid of this nightmare bank

ID ***This company did reply with a ridiculous reply $a month in interest is what they said must be paid and there is nothing I can do about it. I explained that my daughter is a heroin addict (God help us all with this addiction in America) and I now have custody of my granddaughter and things are very very tough. I realize my problems are of no concern of theirs or anyone's for that matter but I had some HOPE of help. But she said that not much can be done for me. ALSO...as I said my first concern was that I spent over ONE HOUR on the phone to resolve a fraud issue on my account and was never assisted. No one could speak good English nor understand me. All were from a foreign country. Not to criticize them at all but English was not something they spoke well nor understood English well
Capital One(Shannon G***) said the reason for the long wait on the phone was that I was continually disconnected. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. I held on the phone and was transferred over and over again to no availAgain....thank you for your time and your service at the Revdex.com. It is appreciated way more than you realize....Even if nothing comes of this I am thankful to your organization. So sad today that all these jobs are shipped overseas and the service we receive is less than adequate. Again, I am not by any means criticizing anyone overseas but as a struggling year old single woman trying to make ends meet and caring for my year old granddaughter times are so sad to even get decent customer service or any help for the average American citizen. My overall complaint against this company is the CUSTOMER SERVICE PROVIDEDIn their response to my initial complaint they offered me $as "peace offering" but basically still told me I was wrong, citing the customer agreementThe purpose of my complaint was not to look for additional credits to my account, I was satisfied with those I had already been given as a result of my initial call to the customer service departmentThe overall purpose of my complaint was to enact change to the policy of indiscriminately cutting off users from accessing credit, REGARDLESS OF THEIR ACCOUNT HISTORY WITH THE COMPANY! For example, I have a relatively large credit line with this company, that I use and pay off IN FULL EVERY MONTH, yet one month I am days late due to an illness and suddenly my credit is revoked? I feel that this is a terrible practiceI understand that if I , or other customers in my position, were chronically late, had bad credit with the company or both than this would be a reasonable action but to just send me a response stating "Here's a hundred bucks for your trouble and by the way, our agreement says we can do whatever we want, whenever we want and to whom-ever we want no questions asked because you signed it"...I'm sorry, that's un-acceptableThese actions by the company are in THEIR BEST INTEREST not in the best interest of both partiesThese actions lead to humiliating consequences for their customers and worse, if the customers affected are not like me, these actions lead to what must easily be hundreds of thousands if not millions worth of fees for the company as a result of these predatory actionsThis needs to be stopped and everyone should have the ability to find this complaint and see what could result by doing business with this company. In their response the company states that the services agreement states that they can take this action when ever they wantHowever, the service agreement is easily pages, front and back, long and the type is so small that it would easily take a team of attorneys to digest the information contained withinFine, however, my complaint acknowledged the possibility thereto and asked that, at the very least, the company institute a policy either being more selective of those that they apply these practices against or at least make it perfectly clear, either by large bold-face or separate letter, that this is a possibilityThe company's response to me totally ignored that request and, again, just gave me a credit and told me I was wrong, read the giant contractI am looking for more culpability and acknowledgement that what has transpired is, at the very least, bad customer service if not overtly vindictive against customers who don't deserve such actions. I ask that the representative that reviews this response review my initial complaint and acknowledge it accordingly, rather than throw money at the issue in an effort to try an hide the true issues by "shutting me up"

I wish I could give negative stars for their credit card service! What a bunch if ***So my wife got a card from them no problem and she had been using it, no issuesHowever, when I applied and got approved, I received a call a few days later saying my card had been issued a fraud alertMind you I hadn't even received the card yetThe woman on the phone was serious and unprofessional making me think she was a scam callerShe wanted my info and I wouldn't give it to her over the phoneShe said they needed proof I am me and sent an email to meI checked it out and decided it was from Capital One so I sent my info, driver's license, social security card and proof of addressI heard nothing backThen the card arrived so I assumed everything was okayWhen I tried to activate the card though, a whole new plane of stupidness opened upThey said the card had been suspended due to fraud! When I spoke with someone there and asked what it was they refused to tell meThen out of the blue they did the same to my wife! She had her card suspended too and had to supply her proofShe did that and it wasn't enough, so she sent more and this time they accepted it and reinstated her cardThere was nothing I could do the guy said since it had been permanently closedHe said I had to apply all over againThen I get this letter stating they had been trying to reach me but had not been able toFunny since my wife and I have the same damn number and they had no problems calling her, I even answered the phone when they called! So I applied again, but this time got deniedMind you the first time I was approved, and for much more than my wife wasWhat I suspect is that the up tight woman I spoke with and told I thought was a scammer, got her panties in a bind and sabotaged my card, then my wife's cardWell we owe about $on it and when it's paid it's going in the shredder! The feds need to be involved in this companyI've never had anything like this happen to me before
