Capital One Financial Corporation Reviews (2378)

Dear *** ***, I’m reaching out to you about the concern you sent to the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) regarding receiving a credit limit increase from the Credit Steps program on your accountWe would like to share some information with you. I am sorry you are dissatisfied
with the level of service you receivedCapital One’s goal is to provide all of its customers with the highest level of customer service. We understand that this must be a difficult time for youWe have reviewed your request to reinstate the Credit Steps program on your accountOur records show that the account was accurately removed from the Credit Steps program due to two missed paymentsThis program only allows one late payment to occur before removing our customer from the programOur research confirmed the account was late on April 16, 2015, and June 16, You are informed of the cutoff timeframes for online payments, and over the phone payments, on every statement we send to youOnline or mobile payments also show the date in which it will post for, due to cutoff times, prior to you submitting your payments. We appreciate that you would like to use this card more often, and so a credit limit increase is important to youYou may attempt a credit limit increase, at any time, over the phone at 800-955-through our automated phone service, or you may also attempt a credit limit increase while logged onto your account at Capitalone.comYou may request a credit limit increase as often as your likePlease know that credit limit increase requests are soft hit inquiries to the Consumer Reporting Agencies with no impact to your credit score. If you have any questions or concerns, please give me a call at *** Monday through Friday from a.mto 4:p.mPTWhen contacting me, please be sure to have the following six digit phone PIN available: ***I am happy to help in any way that I can. *** *** was sold a website by *** *** that does not function. The following facts about *** *** shows they are a disreputable company. Capital One is choosing to ignore these facts and continue to support *** *** in their charging for an inferior product:
on
all documentation from *** *** to Capital One, there are no
names or signatures from anyone in the company The documentation was printed
all on blank pieces of paper with no business letterheadThey charged $per webpage they developed for Mom. This is extremely high There are pages for *** There is a transitions to ***
which is a prepackaged website for distributors Moms website is
selling Longevity products, here is the statement from longevity: The paperwork stated that my mom bought the website “***”. This website is a storefront for *** products. I called *** (***, Customer Support ***
account ***) and they said that did not have and had never had
any affiliation with *** ***. I asked what they charged for
a “distributor” website and they said $25.00. I asked about my mom’s
status, they said that she was a distributor and there had been no
activity, no purchases, and no logins to her account. There has been no
e-commerce on ***.
*** stated that they do not work or partner with Innovative
Designs - for distributor websites they provide their own web
development service.
In
our efforts to find *** ***, the only piece of information
regarding *** *** identity was their address (*** *** *** *** *** *** ***) on one of the papers delivered to us
by Capital One. The address was that of a “suite” in ***. There
was no business attached to the address in a *** search. There was
no phone number attached to the address in a *** search. I finally
called the building manager (*** ***) and she explained that they were actually a mail forwarding service and not an office. She gave me the contact *** *** ***)
that was paying for the service. I called that contact and got no
answer or voicemail. The building manager then pointed me to the
website and I called the number on the website. The person
answered the phone with “hello” (“*** *** was not mentioned), I
asked if this was *** *** and she said “yes.” I began a
discussion with her that later led to speaking with the person dealing
with the charge back All of these events and the lack of letterhead or
names in the documents from Innovative Design provided to us by Capital
One, make the credibility of *** *** suspectOn
the *** *** website it lists the following people as
officers of the company* *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** None of these names are found on
*** A *** search of these names shows them being in there same
roles in dozens of other companies companies all around the country
Obviously these are fictitious people invented to make the company look
officialThe address*** *** *** *** *** ***, *** is a mail forwarding
service The mail is forwarded again to *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** It appears this is another
mail forwarding serviceAt
close to the same time that *** bought the website from *** *** there was $dollar in charges from a website ranking
company called Impact Rankings Capital One conceded that the Impact
Rankings charges were fraudulent This leads me to believe that
*** *** and *** *** were working together
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

The complainant is concerned about the timeframe it is taking for the hold on a payment recently made to her daughters account to be removedAfter speaking with the complainant it was determined that she is not authorized on her
daughter’s account and because she has no account information we cannot advise if the issue has been remediedComplainant was advised that sometimes Capital One will place a hold on a payment to allow enough time to pass for the bank to process the paymentComplainant was also advised of things to do to reduce the likelihood of having a hold placed on a payment such as; continuing to make payments on time, avoiding payments being returned, avoiding making payments greater than the credit limit, avoiding the over limit status on the account and using the same bank account for paymentsComplainant was given number to the Executive Office to provide to her daughter if she is still having issues with her account

Capital One has turned my account off too many times nowIt is not reasonable to restrict service to me when they admit that they don't even know if the information had indeed been compromised or by whomMy biggest issues is that they are lyingWhen I was originally contacted I was told that my information had been compromised by a 3rd party company that I had done business withWe are getting a different story in their responseSo, when was Capital One lying to me? Was it the original conversation or in this offer?
Second, Credit Card companies have warned us about scams for yearsIn fact, they have said not give any information out to someone who calls you and claims that they are Capital OneSo, when I was contacted I did refuse to give verifying information because they called me, they were not able to prove to me in any way that they were indeed Capital One, and we are trained BY THEM not to give personal information on the phoneThe disturbing part, other than the fact that their representative (male) was a nasty person, was that he refused to allow me to call back and complete the processHe said that there was no number to callSo, Capital One, my company sure does spend a lot of money every month and you benefit from that with transaction feesNO MOREWe choose to cancel this account and use someone else for our CC purposes

complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
My original complaint was that this loan was not handled properly because of negligence of CapitalOneIn addition to negligence it can potentially be due to discrimination since the timeline that Jeremy Jones explains in his letter is not the standard timeline for documents produced during a loan.Even his response was negligent as I spoke via telephone with Jeremy Jones on 01/12/who assured me that he will investigate and call me back by 01/18/which he did not doI reached out to him on 01/23/to follow up and he said that he had forgotten to call me but he sent his response to Revdex.com.In his response he states that this loan was declined because I did not submit my W2s until December 21, (days after I signed my Closing Disclosure) which is NOT True, my W2s were submitted to the *** (online portal provided by CapitalOne) on 11/15/but to further prove that they were received by CapitalOne find attached an email from Ehrenberg, Julie (my loan officer) on 11/30/stating that they did receive my W2s but were missing. In my email response to Julie on 11/30/I confirmed that the Wwas again uploaded to the *** which was later confirmed via phone. On the same email it also proves that all the documents for the property located at *** *** *** ** were provided to Julie, beyond of what was asked for which included the original ***, current mortgage statement and Bank Note that showed this property was only under my wife's name.On 12/13/when she asked for more documents on this property they were sent on the same day, see attached copy of emailThis property was supposed to be removed from the expenses as it is my wife's, Julie said that it will be removed, it never was. Also they state that my debt to income ratio was not enough, but my tax returns show otherwise, attached is a screenshot of the tax returns submitted to CapitalOne; which full copies are in possession of CapitalOne; that show gross income of $*** for and $*** for 2015, there is no way my debt to income ratio can be lower specially because all properties are making profits including my wife's property and one property is even paid in full producing an extra $*** annuallyI do not have any expenses other than the properties which are $*** Annually - counting my wife property $***, just the properties' income is $*** annually, that added to my personal income in my Wplus additional income shown in my tax returns from my business, is mathematically impossible to be under. The simple fact that Jeremy Jones stated in writing that my W2s were received on December shows negligence from CapitalOne and purposely declining my loanNo underwriter will release the Closing Disclosure if they didn't have all my financial documents that will provide them enough information to release this document for closing. The fact that they also lied about the loan being delayed because of the HOA master policy it goes beyond of negligence as the loan was never declined based on these documents, especially because the HOA documents were released to them on 11/30/when I paid for the homewisedocs order number *** (proof that I paid for these documents included in the email that contains the information of the W2)Because I did not do anything wrong and I submitted all my documents on time, I respectfully want CapitalOne to take responsibility for all their negligence in handling this loan and issue the reimbursement for all the expenses I suffered.

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not
resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I was told by Capital One before (perhaps two years ago) that help wasn't available for current accounts Things got tougher and the account got a little behind this year So when I reach out for help I'm told if I can make a $*** payment (which is a lot of money that can pay several bills) to get current help would be available So I forego food for the week to scrape together the money to ultimately get some relief and I find out I've been lied to All I keep hearing is "no offers are available" for my account I've been run around enough, I will not accept this offer I'm not playing any games, and that includes going through an automated system to try and speak to a rep who is going to tell me the same thing and then be transferred to a supervisor, who is going to tell me the same thing I plan on paying this account off and closing it, an annual fee is ridiculous considering all the interest you've made off of meThere are much better credit card companies out there who offer lower rates, no annual fees, better rewards, and are willing to work with their customers.

It sounds that *** *** Office of President truly believes that this problem is my ownI did receive the documentation with the Blank check and I am not only dissatisfied with the blank check process, but with whom I spoke with at Capital One Auto and its named Dealerships
If this process is one that Capital One Auto has in place to follow, then it is up to them to make sure that the named Auto Dealerships adhere to the written policy including the LTVIf the Auto Dealerships name on your website did truly make a mistake, then this is your problem not mine
And no I did not pick out or find another vehicle and request another blank check I think that someone is trying to blow smoke out my as and this is not a chimney
Capital One Auto Financing needs to resolve this with the Dealership named on there website and once this is resolved they can contact me to discuss it with me

Dear Mr***, Your complaint filed with the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) was forwarded to my attention in the Executive Office of ***’s for resolutionWhile ***’s has an established partnership with Capital One N.A., we provide the in-house servicing for your ***’s Charge
accountAs it is my intent to provide our valued customers with quality service, I appreciate the opportunity to review and resolve your concerns. In your complaint, you state that you have not received any statements, resulting in your account becoming past dueThe account was subsequently assessed late fees and interest due to non-payment. You request that ***’s reverse all fees assessed to the account, as well as update the payment information we are reporting to the Consumer Reporting Agencies (CRAs). Our records show we previously responded to similar concernsIn our letter, dated April 11, (copy enclosed), we explained that late fees were billed to your account due to non-receipt of paymentWe also confirmed that your account was enrolled in paperless statements and we had no record of returned emails or emails not being deliveredRespectfully, we continue to uphold this positionFor clarity, I have explained the history of your account below, from the transaction in June 2014, through present. On June 24, 2014, you charged $to your ***’s Charge account through ***s.comThis transaction appeared on your July statement, which indicated a minimum payment of $was due by August 17, Regrettably, we did not receive your next payment of $until September 27, This means two consecutive billing periods passed with no payments received, so late fees and interest charges were billed to your account in accordance with our Cardmember Agreement. Additionally, your account was reported days delinquent to the CRAs for September due to non-receipt of payment. Your payment of $received on September 27, 2014, along with the fees referenced above and a new transaction of $charged from ***s.com on September 26, 2014, brought your October 2014 statement new balance to $This statement also showed a minimum payment of $was due by November 17, Again, we did not receive your next payment of $until March 12, 2015. This means four consecutive billing periods passed with no payments received, so late fees and interest charges billed to your accountAdditionally, your account was reported days delinquent for December 2014, days delinquent for January 2015, and days delinquent for February due to non-receipt of payment. Your payment of $received on March 12, 2015, along with the above-referenced fees and interest charges, brought your March statement new balance to $This statement also showed a minimum payment of $due by April 17, However, we have not received a payment since that dateTherefore, late fees and interest charges continue to bill to your account correctlyAdditionally, your account was reported days delinquent for May 2015, and days delinquent for June 2015, due to non-receipt of payment. ***’S CORPORATE OFFICES NWWOODALE DRIVE MENOMONEE FALLS, WISCONSIN 53051 As previously explained, your account is enrolled in paperless statementsInstead of mailing statements to your physical address, a statement ready notification is sent through email advising you when your statement is viewableWe have not experienced any address changes or returned mail that would prevent you from receiving your statements to the e-mail address you provided, which is confirmed in your complaint (***)If you would like to un-enroll from paperless statements, you can update your statement mailing preferences online at our My ***’s Charge website. We understand you would like us to modify the information we reported about this account to the CRAs and remove the derogatory payment historyWe have confirmed that we are reporting accurate informationAs a result, we are not able to change what is being reportedI apologize for any frustration this may cause. Mr***, I trust the information provided resolves your concernsIf you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at ***. I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my
complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Capital One has contacted me about denying the manual review of my account as they just do not do it anymore. Capital One as a company as failed to resolve the matter, so I am unable to consider this matter resolved. It can be closed. As there is nothing else Capital One will do in order to resolve the issue. However, I refuse to mark this as accepted as I, as a consumer, do not accept their resolution. I will tolerate it
