Capital one does not provide a process to the public for database corrections to erroneous mail addresses for credit card offer solicitations After about hours of effort online, by phone, and in person at a branch, having received four "preapproved"-type offers for an unknown person, having returned the second as "addressee unknown" and been advised a case file would be created and response provided, nothing A court case deposition filing on-line indicates Capital One does not assure correction of mailing list addressee errors in response to public requests

Capital One made it unreasonably difficult to activate a card I had been approved for after validating my identity because I had a different billing addressI have been in the USAF for years and I have never had this kind of issue beforeMy home of record hasn't changed since enlisting and no other company of any kind has raised the issue of residential verification it's taken over weeks of conversations over an hour before they asked me to reapply for the exact same card

They advertise 0% for months and then charge interest on chargesI will never use this card again

The regional rep from Capital one was very helpful and he has assured me that the individuals that pushed there limit with me have been spoken to and there way of solicitation from old

In I applied for a secured credit card with capital one and I was approvedI paid on time for every month and I have a perfect payment history for years straightI spent years trying to apply for a unsecured card once in and in and they refuse to approve meI put in a lot of time and effort trying to build my credit score with them and all they want to do is waive my annual feeThey said I would get an increase and it has been a year and nothingI don't get any rewards and no benefits from banking with themSometimes I think their prejudice against me because I have a low incomeNumerous times I recall thinking to myself wow capital one doesn't do anything for me they dont want to give me anythingI used my last credit inquiry on themI finally got up the nerve to close my account and I am happier now knowing I'll be satisfied without the misery that capital one brings to my life

I was told by Capital One before (perhaps two years ago) that help wasn't available for current accounts Things got tougher and the account got a little behind this year So when I reach out for help I'm told if I can make a $*** payment (which is a lot of money that can pay several bills) to get current help would be available So I forego food for the week to scrape together the money to ultimately get some relief and I find out I've been lied to All I keep hearing is "no offers are available" for my account I've been run around enough, I will not accept this offer I'm not playing any games, and that includes going through an automated system to try and speak to a rep who is going to tell me the same thing and then be transferred to a supervisor, who is going to tell me the same thing I plan on paying this account off and closing it, an annual fee is ridiculous considering all the interest you've made off of meThere are much better credit card companies out there who offer lower rates, no annual fees, better rewards, and are willing to work with their customers.
