We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We have been in touch with the customer by email regarding these purchases and would like to provide the following updates:

The customer reported they received invalid gift cards, and a full refund was processed on 01/20/2017....

The refund should be reflected on the customer's credit card statement in a few business days.

They sold to the customer unusable gift cards but they advertised gift cards they sold with the following statement:

I am rejecting this response because: the information was not disclosed prior to accepting the initial offer. There was no indication that this could occur and while I understand they are potential fraud concerns they need to review, it should be done before, not after a card is accepted and sent in. There was literally no change from when the offer was accepted to when it was later rejected; the cards were and still are valid with the proper balance. As previously mentioned, they also had credit card information to protect themselves. I realize my card was not charged but that goes without saying because there was no fraud committed. If there are safeguards in place Cardpool should make sure they are done prior to accepting an offer and/or make sure customers are aware their previously accepted offer could potentially be rejected after a second review.

We take our [redacted]'s' security very seriously and our phone calls are an important part of that process. Because the [redacted] had to completed the verification process, it delayed their order. The order was placed on Dec 15 and the following day on Dec 16 their gift card code was sent to their email. Unfortunately we do not have control of the merchant's gift card limit restrictions. It is up to the merchant’s sole discretion to refuse or accept multiple gift cards used in a given transaction. The gift card balances are at a zero balance and assume the customer was successful in using the gift cards. The [redacted] placed an order on 6/27 and the order was cancelled and refunded simultaneously on 6/27 at 2:54pm. Although the refund was issued the same time as the cancellation, it could take up to 7 - 10 business days depending on their bank...

and when they release the funds. We have yet to hear from the [redacted] again so we assume she has received her refund. We contacted them informing the refund has been issued and the order has been cancelled. We followed through with this order and we now consider this to be closed.

As I mentioned on the phone, Cardpool on 12/21/16 at 5:05pm acknowledged that it is the Cardpool system that is at fault for the transactions not going through.  According to the email I received from "Henry", their system does not recognize that I am using Cardpool gift cards to make my purchases.
 
Two issues are relevant:
 
1)  I am not using my credit card to make the purchase but gift cards that the company issued
 
2)  Cardpool acknowledged that it is their system that is causing the problem, not my credit card.
