I contacted Carecentrix to get an estimate of out-of-pocket cost for Medical Equipment called The Vest. The representative told me my out-of-pocket cost would be ~$1000.00. He NEVER explained that this amount would be a rental cost owed each month over a 10-month period. I ordered the vest and unaware until the 3rd month when I received an invoice, charges of $971.90 was billed each month! The medical equipment company has nothing to do with the billing. CareCentrix is the billing company through my insurance carrier, [redacted]. I feel this representative was grossly negligent by not explaining the total cost via a rental agreement of the medical equipment. I have sent the medical equipment back and have a bill that is 3 x's more than what I expected and I only got to use it for 3 months!!

Carecentrix is a billing agent for insurance companies, mostly dealing with CPAP equipment. They will cheat the final end customer and refuse to change the billing. I have been told I do not have a right to see what was submitted by the provider and I have no right to see what was paid by the insurance company. I was charged $520.00 for what should have been $245.00. The $245.00 is what was submitted by the provider. DO NOT USE CARECENTRIX they will cheat you.
I have been dealing with this company for 4 months. I ordered a breast pump through my insurance and on Carecentrixs error, I recieved a pump I did not originally want. They have given me the run around saying they will pay for the shipping costs and will get a return label sent to me, but 4 months later I'm still dealing with it. I have to explain myself each time I call. I've talked to many "leads" and each time they promise to have this taken care of and that Carecentrix will take care of the return. I've decided to send the pump back myself instead of dealing with this shady, disorganized company once more. I am also submitting a formal complaint with [redacted].
CareCentrix cost me $260 extra because of the way the setup billing without telling me. I thought I was purchasing a CPAP machine outright, but they did an installment plan. This kept me from reaching my previous year deductible. They refused to make it right and blamed [redacted] the insurance company. [redacted] blamed CareCentrix. I blame both. The whole process was the most painful process I've ever experienced. Both companies refused to make this situation right.

complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
The company has assured me that the credit bureaus have been notified that this was an error on their part and I am to be receiving documentation stating this and the issue has been corrected in their system.

I am rejecting this response because: CareCentrix tried to contact me last Friday...
(11/27). A lady named Kerri called and gave me a number to call back. I was left a number (###-###-####) and it was for an unitelligible name ([redacted]?).Anyways, it said [redacted] was home and went to voicemail. I left voicemails 11/30, 12/1 and called 12/2 with no callback and no resolution. Their efforts are lackluster at best, negligent at worst.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: I am still waiting for a letter from their Legal department explaining in detailing why this incident occurred, what is being done to correct or make amends for the grievous issue and what will be done to make sure it does not happen again, to anyone else.
The case is still open for resolution.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:
I have called CareCentrix several times since July about a refund of $165.15 that they owe me. Every time I call, none of their representatives can give me an answer. In July I was told that they needed to issue me a refund because my insurance ended up paying the whole bill. I over paid them as of April, 2014. My bank statement shows the two withdrawals made by CareCentrix. However, when I call they just say, "they are still investigating." They have told me at least 3 times now that someone will call me back to give me an update. No one, I repeat, no one has called me back. This has been going on for months. Whenever I call, I am on the phone with them going back and forth for well over an hour each time. They finally tell me they "can't reach the person working on my refund, and someone will get back to me by a certain date."

Desired Outcome:
I must receive a phone call with an update informing me about my refund, and when it will be completed by Tuesday, September 30th, 2014. I would also like a letter confirming that my refund is in process. If I am not contacted, then I have no choice but to send a letter to the CEO, [redacted] and Board Chairman, [redacted]. As per the recommendation of the NY State Attorney General's office, I will also file a small claims suit with punitive damages.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
