BUYERS BEWARE:
my husband and I have been waiting over 3mos for delivery! we used this company approx 10yrs ago quick service bing bang and now??? I question if you people exist!!! except you have called over 6 times to cancel pathetic no wonder the Revdex.com doesnot stand behind you we are getting our $ back come hook or by crook.

I am in receipt of the complaint being filed by Mr. Jeffrey T[redacted]. I have researched the details regarding this complaint in order to respond in an accurate manner.
Mr. T[redacted] did in fact order an addition to his existing structure on 5/25/2016. CCI...

scheduled his delivery and install for 7/12/2016. CCI was made aware on 7/13/2016 that Mr. T[redacted]'s order was not completed as scheduled. On the same date, Leonarda, a customer service representative spoke with Mr. T[redacted] and apologized for the inconvenience. CCI frequents this area every 4-6 weeks. This order was given to a customer service manager in an effort to expedite and prioritize the delivery. The customer has spoken with Lisa, a customer service manager on 7/20/2016 and 7/21/2016. Lisa has worked to expedite a truck to this area. The customer is currently on schedule for 8/1/2016.
Should additional assistance or information be required, please feel free to contact me directly.
Sincerely,

Heather S[redacted]

7 weeks after ordering my carport, they still cant tell me when I will get delivery. say its due to rain in Georgia..Cant believe that would hold up my order in central Florida!!! Not at least if they have any crews that will work for them outside of a few areas. I have bought three carports from them and each time they get slower on delivery. I will never use these characters again for anything.

In looking for someone to replace a damaged carport, I googled for companies available, then looked them up on the Revdex.com website. I specifically did not call Carolina Carports because they had an “F” rating with multiple negative reviews. I chose another company that did not have any negative reviews.
I called the second company for a quote. I was quoted $745 for the carport and $275 for taking down and hauling off the old carport, plus tax. The total was $1091.40. A down payment of $74.50 was paid that day.
I received a message the next day that the job would be sub contracted out to Carolina Carports. I called the sales person back and was put through to his voice mail. I told him I was greatly concerned with Carolina Carports doing the work and why-because of the “F” rating with Revdex.com.
After the carport was installed, I went out to inspect and noted that the old carport was still stacked in the back yard. I called and talked to Customer Service at the first company to let her know that the old structure was still in the yard. She informed me that they do not remove the old structure. I relayed that I was told it would be removed for the price I was quoted. She talked to the sales person and then apologized that I was given incorrect information, but they would not remove it. We went back and forth quite a few times – me saying my quote included the removal and she apologizing that I was given incorrect information.
Then Josh [redacted] from Carolina Carports called me. He does not care what I was quoted, they were wrong. He said the balance is due to Carolina Carports and will be paid in full. The balance is to be paid immediately or it will be turned over to a collection agency and he advises that we do not want to do that.
I did send a check for the full amount and then had to hire and pay someone else to remove the old carport.
I have multiple rental properties with these carports, but I will never use either of these companies again.

After two & one half months following ordering I was finally called to schedule installation. No one showed up on the date they were supposed to. Two days later I was contacted to reschedule and again no one showed up to install my carport. I paid the dealer $69.50 upon placing my order.

This company has terrible customer service. Ordered the carport in September. We were told up front from the dealer it would be October or November. Three times were scheduled...the first cancelled as they didn't have time to get to us! Second one cancelled due to rain...the third one they went to the wrong house and instead of calling for better directions they decided to just go home. Now, I've been told it will be after January 4, 2016 before they can even think of scheduling our delivery. They can keep their carport....

got a late start getting my area ready, due to me working away...but I ordered 9-9-15 with the site ready...24 x 21 x 9 Vertical roof/sides/gables came 10-30-15 as promised...the crew arrived late morning...no fault of theirs, since the person who's building was to be put up the day before didn't have his concrete base right...the crew led by Marcello Ocampo never stopped for the next 7 hours...he was very polite, and answered every question I had...for a young man, he was very experienced...if I put another up, I wish he would be the one to do it...
I understand some customers complaints about crews not showing up on the day or time promised...
its usually not the crews fault...weather is a big factor...traveling time may play into it...customer saying site ready/level and its not...
maybe CCI could have crew leader call in to let them know if theres a delay, and CCI could forward to customer...

We ordered a carport from [redacted] which is a seller for Carolina Carports on 12/31/2015 and was told at the time we ordered that it would be around 2/14/2016 before installation which we were fine with. The problem was they called and wanted to deliver on 1/28/2016 and I was not able to be here because I was summoned for Jury Duty and they wanted to come anyway but I refused because I wanted to make sure it was placed where we wanted it placed. They then called our house phone (they had both house and cell phone numbers) on Saturday Feb. 13, 2016 and said they could deliver it on 1/18/2016 but we had to call them back in a few minutes in order to get it on the truck, we were out of town for the weekend and did not get the message until Sunday afternoon. I tried to call and they were closed so I called on Monday and left two messages and no one bothered to call me back, I wanted to know why they did not call my cell phone since they had both numbers!! They then called to have it delivered on 2/25/2016 and called the night before and cancelled because they said the weather was bad, which it was not!! They rescheduled for 2/29/2016 and was supposed to be here by lunch or shortly after, they called me at 1:30PM and said they were not coming because the delivery and setup before ours was not able to be delivered that morning because they could not get up someone's driveway(why did they wait till 1:30PM to call then if they knew that in the morning), at that point she said she would call me back by the end of the week to reschedule. She called on 3/4/16 and scheduled delivery for Thursday 3/10/2016 and said they would be here late morning! Of course at noon they were still not here so I called and was told they were running behind and would be here by 1PM, of course they were NOT!!! I called again at 2:00PM and was told he was on his way and would be here around 2:30. They arrived at 2:45PM and came onto our property smoking cigarettes and throwing them on the ground, I went out and told them to pick up their butts, we do not smoke and I didn't appreciate them throwing them on the ground and to pick them up!!! They could hardly speak English and it was very hard for me to understand them!! WE WILL NEVER BY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!! We were going to buy another one for a work van but it won't be from this company!!!!!!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carolina Carports - BEWARE
I don’t often take the time to post negative reviews about businesses but with the complete lack of professionalism shown by CAROLINA CARPORTS, I hope to save someone else the hassle of dealing with them. I have been trying to get the $10,000 awning we purchased over 3 months ago installed for more than a month now and every time we are scheduled for installation, they call me and say that it is going to be at least another week before they can get to it which has happened multiple times. If I hadn’t already given them a couple thousand dollars, I would go somewhere else in a heartbeat. Please save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere.

Where do I start? I bought my carport from them in December 2014 with a tentative installation of late Jan. or early Feb. It's now scheduled for second week in April! It appears to me that the problem is with the installation division of CC. The sales team was very helpful and courteous but I've had nothing but rude, un-informed installation operators on the phone. They've blamed the Holidays, Oil Boom in South Texas and now the rain as reasons for their deficiencies! I finally got to speak to a manager with CC and he explained to me that he would refund me all my monies but that when I went to purchase another carport I would be put back further in the installation line because they almost all use the same installer. I decided to wait it out. More to come...

I live in KS. I ordered via an ordering site here in my state a 2 car sized carport. I ordered this Nov. 7th 2014. They told me 8 weeks. It is now January 7th, and I still have no carport. (14 weeks),I had to put 10% down, about $70. I call them and they keep postponing it. I have been put on hold 2 of the 3 times I called. One time I had to hang up because my phone died. I either want my 10% money back, or a phone call from them to find out when it's coming. This company is terrible. When I called in Dec, they told me they were closed for 2 weeks for the holiday yet they were back logged to September. Seriously? Why are they taking 2 weeks off if they are back logged? I'm angry! I'm considering filing a report with the Revdex.com although it may do no good since they are not affiliated with them.

Last week, Carolina Carport installed a 24ft X 31ft garage for me. I am very pleased. Building looks great and my property was left clean & neat. I was told that lead time to get building installed would be approx. 8 weeks. I figured, therefore, that I had 8 weeks to get the site ready before they showed up with the building. This was not the case. About a month after I ordered the building, I called C.C. to let them know the site was ready and check on status of building. THAT is when they started the 8 week lead time. Actual lead time from date of order was more like 12 or 14 weeks. However, we're still very happy with the purchase and recommend this company.

The building I ordered was a 40/40 building ...the building was shipped in the time span as promised..the inspector came and inspected the concrete pad..and said the building would be shipped when paper work was turned in...the company called later and told us when we could expect the building...on Thursday morning the building arrived ,with erectors Victor [redacted] lead man and Ricardo,Roberto and Alex, very friendly ,courteous, and hard workers...on Friday evening at 5:30 the building was completed and area cleaned up,only took two days to complete a 40/40 building, very neat and professional work...I would highly recommend this crew of men for any job....

This was the worst company I have ever dealt with. We have ordered out Car Port in JULY. and they have cancelled OVER and OVER and OVER again. Because of bull excuses. This was the worst customer service. We are currently gathering our lawyer for a Class Action suit. Anyone who wants to join against the worst company in the world. Please contact me. Why do you Offer your product if you are literally NEVER going to install it ever. I wish I could give this less than a Zero Percent for satisfaction. I will be calling them every single day until I have a garage built on my property. And it will probably take me about 6 months until your check arrives. the weather was just too bad to deliver it today.

Review: I ordered this garage November 6th 2013. And still nothing 2/10/14. We were told 3 to 6 weeks and it would be delivered. I thought maybe because of the holiday they were running behind. Another call beginning of January and was told told it is a 10 week delivery. I call again at 12 weeks. Customer service said it was because of weather and that they were helping other companies get their buildings put up so that meant we would have a longer wait. We are now sitting at 14 weeks and still no garage and was told it was still a few weeks out. We are trying to get our deposit back and stop this order. If it was going to be a few month wait I wish they would explain that at the time of ordering. I would not recommend ordering from this company unless you are willing to wait months for delivery. Make sure you order way in advance.Desired Settlement: To get what I ordered delivered asap

RE: [redacted]

Case # [redacted]

To Whom It May Concern,

I am in receipt of the

complaint being filed by [redacted]. I have taken the

opportunity to research the issues surrounding this complaint in

order to respond.

[redacted] placed on order for a 20.26.6. Boxed Eave roof carport with both sides closed on 11/06/13 through [redacted] an independent dealership. The standard delivery and installation times for Missouri are 6 to 10 weeks from the date the customer placed the order or from date customer is ready for installation. In [redacted]'s complaint he mentioned the dealership told him delivery times were 3 to 6 weeks. Our sales department has notified all dealerships regarding delivery time schedules for all states. At this time Carolina Carports Inc. has already spoken to [redacted] and has placed him on a schedule for installation on Tuesday February 25th.

I hope that the

information provided will be sufficient in closing this matter

regarding Carolina Carports Inc. Please feel free to contact me if

you should need further information.

Sincerely,

This is my first review of any company, for any reason, anywhere... But they were so unbelievably bad to deal with - that I was moved to post this in hopes that others will not make the same mistake.

I patiently waited well over 2 months for my carport (which was supposed to arrive in "3-4 weeks"). It never came. They called numerous times to schedule the installation. Each time they failed to show up, and they never called to to say they weren't coming. After 9 weeks they still could not give me a delivery date!

I finally cancelled my order and told their local sales rep to just keep my 10% deposit.

Unless you want to wait indefinitely for your structure, I would recommend spending $500 extra and just purchase the [redacted] brand from [redacted] or [redacted].

My experience and recommendations to make your experience a succesful one.

I went through MANY dealers and ultimately found [redacted] barns (http://www.[redacted].com/) and spoke to Lacey. She worked me, back and forth, through a lot of changes to end up with the order we placed. I would give Lacey a 10 out of 10 for a review.

She ensured that Carolina Carports (CCI) received my order and kept me in the loop. I received a very prompt call from CCI in the days that followed confirming receipt and reviewed my order. Both Lacey and the representative from CCI set my expectation of eight weeks turnaround. I needed some time to tear down a structure, expand and level the area, etc. I did this with the knowledge of eight weeks to delivery and had it done long before.

At almost exactly eight weeks I received a call from CCI stating I was to expect delivery the following week (Friday and finish work on Saturday due to structure size). We reviewed the order again and I actually expanded it to include J-Channel everywhere it was applicable and highly recommend that now that I've seen the end result.

I took a half day on that Friday and at 1 PM [redacted] installers from Pennsylvania arrived. I'm assuming J stands for Jose as he was clearly the supervisor as the other two gentlemen did not speak english very well, nor did Jose but much moreso then the other two. They got to work after Jose and I confirmed the order and placement, etc. I offered, and provided a cooler of Lemonade / cups to them as it was a hot day and they were working extremely hard and efficiently. I also provided them dinner (burgers and dogs) so they could keep working later.

One item I'd state is they had no concept of time as when they stated 40 minutes left it meant 4 hours and an overnight stay in a local hotel. They departed around sunset stating a 7 AM arrival time. I made sure the greeting crew (dogs) were put away prior to 7; however, they arrived at 8:30 AM on Saturday stating their hotel beds were too comfortable to get out. I believe if you work hard, and they did the day prior, to afford one to sleep in a bit so no big deal.

They worked for another 3 hours and the structure was complete. I was wondering to what extent they would clean up after themselves and was pleased they picked up EVERYTHING. While they were packing up I walked around the area and looked for any screws on the ground and they noticed me doing that. They all came over and we did it collectively for about 5 to 10 minutes until we covered the entire area twice over.

As one of the workers asked about our chickens and whether we sold eggs I provided him a half dozen as a gift as well as a $20 tip to each of them. I'm sure they do NOT get paid well and they did such a good job that I felt the tip was well worth it. I could not find opinions on what to tip CCI installers so went with $20 each ($60 total).

My opinion:

If you go into this and work with someone like Lacey @ [redacted] barns you'll have a good experience initially.

If, and this is a BIG IF, you understand to not hold your breath and are willing to wait for 8 weeks then you won't be disappointed, far from it.

I would STRONGLY recommend Lacey, [redacted] Installers from PA, and CCI with the above recommendations to going into it with the timeframe understood. I also would NOT recommend starting the process going into the Fall / Winter but rather start the process in the Spring / Summer as I did.

My two cents as the experience could NOT have been better with my approach. Some coworkers of mine are going to be getting their own structures but due to time of year going to take my advice and wait until Spring.

Terrible lead time for a garage. There is no communication from the sales outlet to try and resolve the issue or get answers. I feel they are stalling to get more work in my area. Wouldn't purchase or refer again.
